It may not come as a surprise but I am absolutely rotting on PruMano at all times and have been doing so for basically a year now. It's beginning to melt into my personality and nothing can be done about it. Whenever I'm released from the iron grip of PruMano rotting I enjoy GerIta and FrUk like the normie that I am. The BTT are definitely getting together for threesomes when they're all single and I like them as well.

B - Pairing I initially didn't consider

This might shock you after reading the first bit but. PruMano. See I'm not new to this circus, I first watched Hetalia in 2015 but focused mostly on the Nordic 5 with SuFin and DenNor. This was before PruAus 9/11 (Hima suddenly announcing they're cousins) so I think I was on the PruAus rot.

Other than that I got a friend who I dragged into this hellhole (you know who you are) who has infected me with Frain and TurFra. I have some Thoughts about TurPru but uhh. let's leave that for now.

C - Ships I never liked and never will like

All the ones where there is an unbalanced power dynamic (age gaps, having interacted when one was a child and the other way older etc, former colonies and oppressive states, having a relationship that implies being related etc). I am a seasoned hater of these and I do my best to block anyone who as much as reblogs it. I do not care if it's "just fiction" you guys are weird and not in a good way xoxo

D - Ships I just can't get myself to like

Due to the aforementioned PruMano rot I just don't feel seriously interested in any other pairings I fear. Nothing against PruCan or LietPru for example, I am just so rotted on PruMano that it doesn't make me feel anything lol

I may just be the only person who has even considered TurPru and I have done it in the most unbearable fujoshi way possible </3

Other than that I'm helping out with spreading unrequited GerFra, Frain and TurFra which I do also enjoy on the side.

F - Longest I've been in a fandom

I wanna say this one?? Not actively so, I jumped ship to other things such as Love Live and JJBA in early 2019ish (Love Live even earlier in 2017), but even during my longer breaks from Hetalia I've always ended up rewatching it at some point or posting about it.

For Hetalia it's definitely been GerIta from day one. Do I even need to say anything? To me they're canon.

H - Favorite way of consuming fandom stuff

It's mostly anime series and TV shows I'd say, I do sometimes read but am a bit too busy to properly sit down and do so.

I - Has Tumblr made me dislike fandoms

I think it would take less time to list the fandoms Tumblr HASN'T made me dislike tbh. I try to keep a tight knit circle for my own sanity and rarely interact with the fandom part of stuff apart from my own and my friend's contributions. Highly recommended btw.

J - Fandoms I didn't notice until Tumblr

To be honest I'm not really browsing Tumblr at all. I like to upload here because the image quality is way better than on Instagram. I suppose I highly associate some fandoms with this site (Undertale for example)?

1 - thank you!! <3 i am so exhausted 100% of the time i literally cannot keep up with basic life expectations which in turn contributes to the ongoing misery of my living situation. i've had the last couple days off from work and i haven't gotten much done as far as writing bc i needed to catch up with housework and rest. i work for the next 3 days so i might go quiet bc i need to sleep for at least 12 hours or i'll disintegrate. i have a Blood Doctor appt on monday that i've been waiting literally 5 months for but i might need to cancel it bc my medicare card is expired. sobbing emoji x 5

2 - tbh idrk what ppl mean when they ask for non-specific headcanons like without context i'll forget every thought i've ever had. like my general thoughts on them or... ? i love gerita they're really sweet... i've been thinking about starting a fic soon! they're husbands with each other this is canon actually. it's such an essential ship to me like i can't see them not together unless one of them died lol

before getting together their lifestyles and habits were so incompatible but ludwig has learned to be less rigid and likewise feliciano is forced to clean up his act re: being a lazy little slob.

i feel like they'd have a lot of pets, specifically dogs and cats. like everything in their house is covered in fur, their pets are so pampered and they refer to themselves as mutti and vati when talking to them...

the introvert/extrovert couple of all time. ludwig can't stand PDA but they're so sappy behind the scenes.

feliciano packs ludwig lunch every day and puts the most embarassing little notes in it.

their refrigerator is covered in stickers for some reason? no children were responsible for this.

hi im just gonna ramble about prumano so feel free to ignore me

so as far as im concerned, prussia's literally the only (male) country romano isnt actively hostile to right??? like the main comic they interact in is just prussia info-dumping about the teutonic knights and romano just completely mesmerized by it. like it's no stretch of the imagination that romano is just completely enamoured with this fuckin dork. everyone assumes that just because gilbert's german it means romano would hate him as much as he hates germany, but he doesn't!!! like he doesn't even treat his own brother or spain with this much adoration. i love this ship so much because it FINALLY gives romano a break from being a grossly stereotypical grouchy tsundere and gives his character some depth and more personality!!! my boy has so much love to give but everyone around him is so annoying that he doesn't get a chance to shine 😩

anyway, tl;dr is ppl need to stop characterizing romano as nothing but a bitchy asshole

A lot? To prove a point? And that’s how he actually fell for him.

Romano I think would kinda have mixed feelings about Gil and would originally have a “at least he’s not as annoying as everyone else” attitude towards him. That would eventually lead to “he’s the only person here I actually like”

ike would initially give money but once he gets wiser i think he would take issue with his money going directly to drugs. disclaimer this is not commentary on what youre supposed to do im just going through ikes logic. hes the guy to give food or offer to take someone to the store and to buy them stuff. i think ike and soren are both mean to prumano like sorens just unnecessarily harsh because he gets annoyed easily but ikes straightforward and when they ask him for change and hes like How about I take you to the store instead and buy you whatever FOOD you want. and when they suddenly lose interest ike loses his temper on them sanaki style (YOURE ALL HORRID PEOPLE. YOU DISGUST ME BEYOND WORDS) and then soren is like Ike maybe this isnt the best place to be having this argument. gilbert doesnt actually argue he just laughs or stares awkwardly but romano will scream back and then eventually break down crying

thank you for your ask!! this is gonna be really interesting... let's start off with pruame:

it started as a one-sided pruame where ame has a puppy crush on pru then it manifested into a bit of an obsession. this ship is more of a silly thought, so i don't have much to share on the angst potential.

they did not get together in the nationverse (sadly), but a part of ame wants to impress pru who (unintentionally) did not even consider ame's crush. personally, i feel like the ship would work more in the humanverse AU (i have one but it's still on the works...)

now, unto the other:

horray!! another double bingo!!

i think about this ship the most, probably the only ship that i did a deep dive to. whatever their dynamic, romantic or platonic, there's always angst that follows.

they only started interacting because their mutual friends hang out often, so they thought "why not? better talk to this asshole than stand around listening to endless chatter as a thirdwheel" i like to think that they check in on each other occassionally, but a part of me also think "nahh they're okay... they can deal with it"

i always imagine them being close friends first before catching feelings and then starting a relationship. surprisingly, they are not casual about it, rather dedicated because it's the real deal now.

there's a lot i can say about prumano specifically but that's all you are getting (for now)

RusEng Headcannons

-Their relationship is very recent and new.

-It all started out as a “drunken mistake”.

-It was really nothing but sex in the beginning. But, both do expect more out of a relationship than that, so it didn’t take long for them to get to the romance part.

-The start of their romantic relationship was awkward because Ivan doesn't speak much unless he has something important to say, and Arthur’s a bit of an introvert, so he can only lead a conversation for so long.

-They both think the other is hilarious because they both have the same dark humor.

-Ivan calls Arthur “My flower”.

-They gossip about the other nations to each other all the time.

-They usually speak in English since Arthur’s Russian is very broken.

-They often get into fights because one rolled their eyes at the other.

-They like to go outside on the porch during storms and watch the lightning streak across the sky.

-Arthur loves Ivan’s cooking, and compliments the meal every time.

-A lot of their dates are visits to each other’s houses.

-They like to take walks in the snow at night when it’s peacefully quiet and the stars are out.

-They read books together and discuss them, kind of like a book club.

-Their favorite place to cuddle is on the couch in front of the fireplace.

-They are a very quiet couple who are comfortable and casual around each other. They don’t say ‘I love you’ a lot, because they know that the other loves them, and there are no doubts whatsoever in any part of their relationship. Arthur often brings up that he doesn’t even want to know what it would be like if they started this when they were younger, because both were very immature in their past...Ivan agrees every time, and both are grateful that this is not the case.

Music Club.

 As if he had to feel even more embarrassed than he already did. Lovino didn't know why he picked this club out of any other. He supposed he could have skirted by with no club at all, but even prestigious students at the World Academy such as themselves still had to deal with competition. And as his Grandfather urged, the great benefactor to the Academy as he was, Lovino settled with the Music Club, and the tambourine. Another insistence by his Grandfather, who thought it was oh-so adorable.

 It was... small. In fact it only had the bare minimum of bodies needed to stay afloat, including himself. Roderich, the Austrian musical prodigy, by all rights didn't NEED to be here. He was much more suited for the school's orchestra, and he was. But by his grace, he extended an offer to host a club for a more casual experience.

 And then there was Gilbert, the... goofy German guy. At least that's what he pegged him to be. But Lovino didn't expect his instrument of choice to be a flute. Such a delicate instrument being used by a not-so delicate guy? Really, he looked strong enough to bend a flute in half.

 "Since its your first day," Roderich started, exasperated already, and pinching the bridge of his nose. "I'd like to show you the potential you could achieve here, ja?"

 Lovino could see why Roderich seemed to already have a headache. Gilbert cackled often, smirked, and mocked his supposed leader with every opportunity he could. Did they hate each other? Lovino wondered.

 "It's just a tambourine." Lovino grumbled, idly running his fingers over the contours of the instrument. It was a rich red color. Grandfather bought him the best.

 "True, it's a simple instrument, but it is incredibly versatile. You'll appreciate it more with time." The Austrian's voice and expression softened. Truly, he was very happy to engage others in musical activities. There was even a hint of a smile.

 "Ja, even if you suck at it, it'd be fun to smack others and get a good note!" Gilbert cackled, again. Seriously, how could a guy like this play the flute?! He'd be more suited for air guitar!

 Roderich huffed, choosing to ignore that comment. Instead, he moved to the middle of the auditorium stage, their club space, to the conductor's podium. He held a look about him that was frustrated but in a way pleading to Gilbert. Would it kill him to try to make a good impression to new members? Their retention rate was awful. "Your solo piece, if you please. Imbecile..." He mumbled the last word with gritted teeth.

 "Yeah, yeah." Gilbert's response was non-committal, flitting around the crumbled music sheets on his stand. Lovino couldn't help but stare at him, bemused by the two interacting.

 It was until the very last second that Gilbert continued to rebel. But as Roderich raised his baton, Gilbert's posture straightened, his flute raised and ready, his sharp eyes watching.

 Roderich waved his baton in time, and Gilbert began.

 The song was... uncharacteristically soft and sweet.

that moment you can't decide between a bunch of america ships (gerame, rusame, romerica, etc.) and are debating the idea of a poly ship. i wanna hear your thoughts on what might actually work?

LOL, I'm pretty bad at this because I'm very much a Romerica OTPer. (Hence why I'm just giving options for poly ships where Romerica is included. I'm not trying to knock other poly ships.)

But I think Amelietmano could work well because of the fact they all lived together at the same time and are already used to functioning as a trio. If I were going to ship some with America besides Romano, it would probably be Lithuania. All you'd have to do to make this work is build up the dynamic between Lithuania and Romano since they don't really interact in canon. They were living in America's house at the same time and it would make sense for them to be at least friends off-screen in canon Hetalia.

Another option for an OT3 is Prussia/Romano/America. Prussia and Romano have a reasonably shippy dynamic to me, and seeing Prussia and America romantically involved could be entertaining because of their personalities. If you throw Denmark in, you could get a funny OT4 of the Awesome Trio plus Romano (and even though they have zero canon interaction, I think Denmano could work personality-wise based on what I like about Romerica and Prumano).

If I imagine a poly ship, I try to avoid situations that I think would lead to too much jealousy or weird, incest-like scenarios even in a V-formation. (With the exception of Frying Pangle, because some confusing jealousy issues in multiple directions might be fun before they all settle down into a stable OT3.) For instance, I couldn't see Romerica working with AmeIta because putting Romano in a situation where he has to share a romantic partner with the little brother he has canon insecurity issues about is the worst thing you could possibly do to him. (He could go poly, possibly even as an end of V, with someone he doesn't have those issues with, but I think it's better for him if he's in a triad where they're all comfortably involved with each other.) In a similar vein, I wouldn't make Spain part of an OT3 with Romerica because that honestly just ends up as a love triangle centered on Romano that makes America feel really insecure since Spain has known Romano for so much longer (plus, I just prefer Sp*mano to be platonic and don't see America and Spain clicking romantically, so it's better if Spain is off with other people for me). Ditto for if you threw England in with Romerica, only Romano is now the insecure one. (And again, ditto on preferring America and England as platonic and not thinking England and Romano would click romantically.)

I headcanon Switzerland as ace/aro, so I don't ship anything with him romantically. Platonic stuff with him is fine, though. With that said, I'm not seriously opposed to this ship either.

While Romano doesn't like Germanics, they have had some fun interactions, so I could see it having some potential.
