after being turned into a vampire in the year 1903 at the age of twenty-seven, enzo would appear twenty-seven forever. he never got the chance to truly live as a vampire, to understand what it meant for him and his life because shortly after completing the transition, he was taken, boarded up and shipped overseas to the united states to live out the next seventy-five years as a lab rat being experimented on for his abilities. his captors, the augustine society run by the whitmore’s, were digging, scraping, extracting and starving vampires to test their blood and regeneration to ultimately benefit mankind.

enzo met damon salvatore in 1953, and when he was finally free of augustine’s torture, he’s grasping onto his vendetta to kill the remaining whitmore’s until he succeeds. in his main verse, enzo’s a vampire in mystic falls, virginia, and long over his vendetta and envious streak with stefan salvatore. interactions in his main verse can take place anywhere before, during, or after the events of his first death / the other side, the heretics and lily salvatore, and the travelers arc.

There was a Whitmore-Fell Romance And We've Been Blind To It!

So, I've been story building for Inheritance when I found myself looking back at uncredited characters and names thrown around for extras in TVD and Legacies.

Not giving out spoilers, but for an upcoming idea I had, I needed someone who could give access to a lab, and then that jumped over to me looking at Whitmore College on the TVDU Wikia, and then...Something surprised me:

Bartholomew Whitmore.

The name looked familiar somehow, so I looked it up and what I found surprised me:

For those who need more context of the Whitmore name: In 1943, two years before the end of World War Two, an American medical physician named Aaron Whitmore met Lorenzo "Enzo" St. John, a vampire who enlisted in the war. Intrigued by his healing factor and what it could mean for science and, subsequently modern medicine, he faked Enzo's death and shipped him back to America where he would be tortured and experimented on...something that would last for the next 60 years.

But Whitmore's name goes further back. Aaron Whitmore's family was responsible for founding Whitmore College, which originally started as a hospital during the Civil War and became more prominent with time and eventually added a college to go alongside it. It is unknown when the Augustine Society was formed, but the Whitmores have heavy ties to it, seeing as members were chosen from college students who went to Whitmore College, met up at Whitmore House, and hosted events and experiments there. The major downside was the future and torture of vampires that came with it.

But then, there was a connection between the Fells and Whitmores I remembered. Back at the New Year's Eve Party of 1957, a Fell woman was part of the demonstration to prove the healing effects of vampire blood.

This was the first time a Whitmore and a Fell interacted in person (minus the implied relationships).

Now, how does this go back to the title of this post?

Easy: I connect two characters who are only mentioned once and create a relationship.

Sarah Whitmore (5x09) and Bartholomew Whitmore (1x19) as mother and adoptive son!

Get ready: This is a hidden love story we never realized was happening!

• Sarah Whitmore was the oldest of two siblings. Her mother was Dr. Aaron Whitmore's daughter, who told her about the supernatural early on, the Augustine Society, and the deaths of those involved.

• Sarah and her brother, Aaron Whitmore the 3rd, were the surviving siblings of a "house burglary". Aaron didn't know that it might have been deliberate murder, but Sara did and distanced herself from him for years. An act of self-preservation she'd regret one day.

• In 1993, Bartholomew "Barry" Whitmore was born and adopted by Sarah Whitmore.

• She chose to adopt but never had kids because she knew that the Whitmore line was being hunted down and hoped the vampire responsible would spare a non-blood-related Whitmore child.

• This ends up feeling like a proven point when her brother, Aaron Whitmore the 3rd, and his wife and her sister-in-law, Ashley, are murdered in 1997 and their son was left alive. Sarah chose not to step forward when a man named Wes Maxfield came forward wanting to take her nephew in, to which she agreed.

• Sarah also had suspicions as to why her brother's murderer hadn't come for her then.

• Barry grew up in Mystic Falls and his loving upbringing included knowing about the vampires.

• He knows about vampires and the Augustine society because his mom wanted him to know the dangers of vampires, how to protect himself, and why a vampire would be after them one day.

• Barry loved being active in community service because it gave him a sense of pride and involvement.

• Meets Tina Fell when she was a part of the community service he organized as she was serving mandatory community service for a DUI conviction.

• Tina found Barry cute, both admitting his horrendous first name is pretty out there and decided to be friends as well as he is a mutual voucher for her community service.

• Even after her time was served, they continued to get closer.

• When reminded of Miss Mystic Falls, Tina asked Barry to be her escort.

• Barry in turn introduces Tina to his mom, Sarah.

• Sarah isn't stupid and knows the Fells and the Whitmores go way back, especially where Dr. Whitmore is involved.

• May have subtly threatened Tina if she hurts him.

• Both find themselves catching feelings as they prepare for the pageant.

• May have ditched dance rehearsal for fun and was forced to make it up by a private rehearsal under Carol Lockwood herself.

• Finally, fall in love during the Miss Mystic Falls dance and confessed afterward.

• They continue dating afterward and go through most teenage problems.

• Tina invites Barry to the annual Fells Family Reunion...and is immediately attacked by her near 30+ relatives!

• Was a success for the most part.

• Got stared down by her dad but welcomed by her mom.

• Was a HIT with the kids though.

• Did blush when the elderly asked if he would marry Tina.

• Took a long time to reveal about the supernatural and others knew about it. Tina was told about the existence of the supernatural community on Founders' Day. Barry had been informed of everything by Sara through a friend on the council.

• Drinks vervain regularly to build strong immunity against vampires.

• Fell Family was definitely in the know when all the Big-Shot vampires, witches, and Immortals were in town and had a hand in covering up any murders because of that.

• Both Whitmores and Fells upped their dosage of vervain during that time.

• Tina and Barry had to fake compulsion during a lot of these events, school, and community-wise.

• Barry attended the funerals of Logan and Tobias Fell with Tina (the first as a friend, the second as her partner)

• They had their issues with their futures (Tina to Georgetown and Barry to Howard. WHITMORE & DUKE WERE OFF LIMITS!)

• When Prom came around, they left early to "celebrate" surviving high school as long as they did...and conceived that night.

• Tina's pregnancy was discovered a month (May) after conception. Tina noticed she missed her period and thought it was preparations for graduation and college stressing her out.

• When they found out, Barry was the perfect gentleman, willing to stand by whatever Tina wanted to do and marry her if she wanted. Though flattered, Tina decline to get married young and ultimately chose to keep it.

• Both families were NOT happy. Officially, Barry was kicked out by Sarah and moved in with the Fells before graduation.

• Unofficially, Sarah and Barry parted on amicable terms because with Barry farther from her, the more likely he won't be killed if the vampire who killed her parents and brother comes for her and leaves Barry alone.

• Both families are visited by the dead when the veil drops and speak through mediums.

• They graduate on June 15th, 2011 (Tina is 2-3 months pregnant)

• Tina and Barry decided to go to Georgetown and live off-campus. Sara moved away to put distance between her and Barry's future family.

• Tina was an emotional rock for Barry, who was distraught when Sarah was killed in July 2011 in Charleston, South Carolina. It was ruled a "burglary gone wrong", just like her parents. (Tina is 4 months pregnant)

• Unknowingly to Barry, the night the vampire (revealed to be Damon Salvatore) came to kill Sara, he disclosed that he recognized Barry was a Whitmore as an escort at the Miss Mystic Falls pageant but decided not to kill him because he wasn't a true member of the Whitmore line. Something he realized Sarah intended. And the only reason he didn't kill Sarah after killing her brother, sparing her the way he spared them when he got their mother, was because he had other stuff to worry about and felt like giving the "true" last Whitmore the mercy of being a parent before leaving her nephew all alone.

• Barry didn't avenge her because Sarah made him promise to put his and his family first. She was long prepared for her death and doesn't want the vampire responsible to have any reason to go after them. It pained him, but he remembered that as much as she loved him, she also raised him to be the only Whitmore not be killed for her grandfather's wrongdoings.

• Found out they were expecting a boy on August 15, 2012. (5 months pregnant)

• Bartholomew "Barry" Fell Jr. was born January 20th, 2012 in Mystic Falls, Virginia (9 months) (Baby BJ takes Tina's name for protection).

• Barry is tracked down weeks later by a lawyer who learned he's the only surviving "Whitmore" and learns he inherits Whitmore House estate and shares with the college & hospital after his cousin Aaron's death. This makes Barry a rich man due to this.

• Barry decided to hold onto the estate until his son is old enough. A lot of pain came from his adopted family, but maybe his son could do some good with them.

• Barry studied under Human Resources and Tina studied Journalism

• Barry proposes to Tina at graduation, May 15th, 2015 (with help from a 3-year-old BJ running across the stage!).

• They did want to elope to save time and money...but the Fell Family was NOT having that!

• (Unofficially, there was an elopement, but 🤫! Only the bride and groom know!)

• Officially, Tina Fell and Bartholomew Whitmore joined hands in holy matrimony on February 7th, 2016. 4-year-old BJ Fell was the ring bearer.

• "All I Need" by Within Temptations was the song to their wedding dance.

• By 2018, Tina was working as a Reporter while Barry is working in a firm with public relations.

• Tina had met up with Caroline Forbes and met her daughters, Lizzie and Josie.

• (And it was not lost on Tina that despite how grown up and mature she carried herself, Caroline was still in the body of a 17-year-old girl.)

• (Nor the fact that she carried, "surrogacy, she said", for their former high school History teacher.)

• Despite the 2-year age gap, BJ enjoys playdates with the twins.

• But that new friendship shot straight to Hell when Tina's youngest cousin, Violet, died at 158th Annual Miss Mystic Falls Pageant and became a vampire. Then, died the next day.

• After that terrible funeral, and one of the youngest ones the Fells had to plan in nearly 10 years, Tina was distraught and cut off contact with Caroline and refused to let BJ near her girls.

• The only "truce" they formed was at Caroline's wedding and reception...which would have started the healing process if it were not revealed that Kelly Donovan was dead, the Lockwood Mansion exploding and Mystic Falls nearly burning in Hellfire.

• This was the last the Fell-Whitmore family ever associated with Forbes and her friends & family again.

• Though Tina did send condolences for the loss of her husband.

So that is what happened! This is how the Whitmores share a strong connection to the Fells and when you look at it? The Fell-Whitmore Family is a good component to add to Legacies.

The very idea of a child (a mixed-race child, if you wanna go there) being the product of two important families with significant histories in Mystic Falls merging and inheriting both hands in the supernatural honeypot that is the state of Virginia, all because of a parents' love, makes Bartholomew Fell Jr. a worthy character of Legacies!

And if you have any lingering doubts if Tina and Barry are canon:

...The irony hit me: Tina and Barry fell in love during Miss Mystic Falls in 2010 and their son would be an escort in Miss Mystic Falls in 2028.

Request: Enzo and Klaus meet and both fight for your affection, but you have feelings for Jeremy but no one knows it. However to end the fued, you tell them you like Jeremy and when you do it just so happens Jeremy walks in hearing your confession. Interactions with all of them together. One shot :))

Sometimes you wish that you had never come to this little town, ultimately it was never your decision, your parents were the ones who wanted to go somewhere where it was quieter more personal, at least that was what they told you before you moved there, you later found out that your parents lied to you and the true reason that they moved there was more supernatural, they were hunters and the first time that Damon kidnapped you, you were genuinely scared but it became commonplace until your parents made a deal and promised to not to hunt him, his brother or any of their friends, this eventually lead to them helping and even teaching you how to keep yourself safe, you became the liaison between your parents and everyone else in the town as Damon and your father never seemed to be able to sit in the same room without holding a knife to each other's throats.

Now, however you're parents had decided to move on after realising the Mystic Falls had a pretty good set of protectors already there was no need for them to stay but you didn't leave, you stayed, your parents trusted that you could look after yourself and you had made good friends there and if worse came to worse you had Jeremy to help you. There was however one thing that you hadn't ever thought would happen and that was two very volatile vampires fighting over you.

The Mikaelsons had been in Mystic Falls for a while and while Klaus had first taken an interest in Caroline, his attention had shifted to you after seeing you fight off a couple of vampires that could to handsy and died for it. The other was Lorenzo now you were sure why he's even looked your way in the first place but now you were stuck trying to dodge them and tried your hardest never to meet them both in the same place.

It seemed that your luck had run out as you sat in The Grill waiting for Jeremy both Enzo and Klaus had sat with you "What now?" You asked as your eyes moved from one to the other. "So cold today." Klaus teased with a smirk and you rolled your eyes. "I really don't have the time for this today." You answered as your eyes moved to the door. "Who are you waiting for?" Enzo asked. "None of your business." You answered leaning back in your chair trying your hardest not to look at the door every time it opened. "Well, then we have a question for you," Enzo said leaning closer to you as you tried to shrink away from him. "Which one of us do you prefer?" "What?" You asked. "Come on love, you can't tell me that you haven't noticed." Klaus smiled "we both want you, so which one of us do you want?" He asked. "Neither." You answered almost immediately, they both looked at you and frowned. "Excuse me?" Enzo asked. "I'm not interested in either of you." You answered. "But you interested in someone." Klaus guessed. "Yes! And you're about to ruin my date so if you please." You shooed them away as you noticed Jeremy walking towards the table, they both looked over at the young hunter, Enzo groaned before getting up and Klaus looked at you for a second before leaving too. "Date huh?" Jeremy asked with a smirk. "You heard that?" You asked and he nodding "well it doesn't have to be a date, you know it was just a hangout and-" "I'd like it if it was a date." He interrupted and you smiled. "Really?" You asked. "Mmhm." He hummed "I was actually going to ask you out today." You bit your lip as you smiled looking down at the table. "Well then shall we?" Damon Salvatore is a walking nightmare. Rude, sarcastic, and careless. Bonnie's never liked him, choosing to hold him accountable for his mistakes - unlike most people who interact with him. But after they find themselves in similar situations, they decide to set aside their differences in order to make the best out of what would otherwise be a horrible vacation.

After one careless night, they find themselves in a horrible situation without a clear solution. It's then that Bonnie is forced to re-evaluate what it is that she wants and who really loves her enough to stand by her side. he’s fiercely loyal to those he attaches himself to, and will do anything to protect them

and if you wrong him, he doesn’t forgive easily.

he’s also kind of easily corruptible and easy to manipulate -- if he thinks you care about him, he’ll do anything for you

however, if he thinks nobody does, he’ll work only to serve himself, and he’s not averse to getting his hands dirty

basically he’s a big soft sensitive baby who pretends to be a big bad villain when really he just wants to be loved, kthx <3

🩸 ───── how long had they known each other, maybe not as long as some may think but damon and him had been through something that was meant to bond a person, at least until the man abandoned him. abandonment left scars. oh how complicated friendship would be now as he hurt from being forgotten. damon could have helped him but didn’t, so why? however, even he could see past it eventually. some would think being a vampire to be easy, he’d argue that immorality was harder than life. it was not all it cut out to be, it was painful and terrible. it was feeling stronger than ever, or being a monster. the lines one walked as they battled with themselves over what kind of vampire to be. 

he seemed unsure these days because not feeling would be far easier than feeling betrayal, and various aches. “was it really so easy?” he inquired as he lifted his feet to rest on a nearby desk. as he sank back in the chair and laced his fingers together with a smirk, “i really thought we had something and just … " he waved his fingers. “ever haunt you at night, does anything ever bug you at night, damon?” he asked.

Ok, so I on again, off again, watched Vampire Diaries and they did this way crazy swing of a romance between Bonnie Bennett and Lorenzo(Enzo) St John and at first I was like, OMG NO, but now I am so damn invested in that relationship? Its like, fuck Damon and Stefan, who cares about those guys and their drama BS, I’m here for Bonnie and Enzo.

Your taboo Ship: I don’t necessarily have a NOTP? But I don’t like incestuous relationships or pedophilia stuff, so anything involving that I guess.

They never met in canon Ship: I have the perfect one for this! Kaidan Alenko and Scott Ryder, haha, Mrylenko, a total of two fics exist on AO3, one of them mine I did for my MEBB, which is here. I never expected to love it as much as I did? It grew on me, and I’ve been blown away by the reception that fic has received, so thanks y’all.

Your unexpected ship: I would say Sterek? Derek Hale and Stiles Stilinski from Teen Wolf? There is a lot of unmentioned sexual tension between those two and it just...haha its great. Plus their screen time interactions are my favorite. It’s not canon, as far as I know, though I’m two seasons behind, so maybe? Fingers crossed? 

The ship you always forget to give love to: Shoker, either Mshoker or Fshoker. Joker is an unsung hero to me and I’ll forever be salty he wasn’t a romance option.

Ship your OC with a canon character (if applicable): My only OC that I’ve written a story about is smitten and in love with the a different OC in the story, though he did have a huge crush on Kaidan Alenko and that biotic booty. Though really, who wouldn’t?

A ship you’re embarrassed to ship: Humm...honestly nothing really comes to mind? Though idk, maybe Destiel? Like, those damn producers keep pulling me back into Supernatural with destiel click bait, and I always fall for it. Thats a ship that will never happen, but damn it, they tease it so bad. ARG. So maybe I’m embarrassed that I always fall for it, idk. 

Your most romantic Ship: Sarah Kerrigan and Jim Reynor from Starcraft. Those two are a really damn close second as far as favorite pairing, right behind mshenko. I just love their story line and honestly, I felt like Heart of the Swarm was such an emotionally satisfying and also heart wrenching chapter in their saga. These two just, damn it they love each other a lot. 

Your sexiest ship: Mshenko. Kaidan Alenko and MCommander Shepard are just really good together. Idk if its the content that the fandom has created that has solidified them in my mind, or if it was their in game chemistry, back story, a culmination of all their trials together finally coming to fruition. I just love them and I love them together, and the thought of them doing sexy things together, being happy together, yeah, it just works for me.

Your most tragic ship: Ahh, I’m torn, I’m really torn about this. On one hand, we’ve got mshenko, two men who have finally found one another amidst the end of the world, and their time is short and frantic and god they are so in love. They might not have enough time, that after all this time, it could be over at any minute. It colors their relationship, this race against time, this impending doom. It breaks my heart and its why I will always choose Destroy, no matter what, because I want Shepard to live, I want him to be with Kaidan, and I want them to be happy.  On the other hand, I have Bonnie and Enzo, because I was so surprised in how much I loved them together. I think a lot of it was great acting, and lets be real, Bonnie Bennett and Caroline Forbs carried TVD for a long time, because Elena, Stefan and Damon were terrible and unsympathetic characters. Anyways, spoilers, but when you’re finally on board with BonniexEnzo and their finding their happiness together, Enzo dies. And fuck if I wasn’t there with Bonnie, crying tears because, I should have known, only Elena gets her happy ending, even as all of her friends suffer around her for it. OK I’M SALTY about how the final season went. 

A ship you want more content for: I am forever wanting more mshenko stories, the long fics, the ones that are 100k+ that take a while to get through. The ones that have interesting plots and twists and compelling story lines.

Feelings In The Way *Part 3*

Klaus Mikaelson X Reader Lorenzo St John X Reader

Request: Feelings in the way part 2. Elijah and reader interactions. She does stay away but still sees the rest of the Mikaelson’s often. One day Klaus gets mad cause she’s hanging out with his family and how they don’t have a right to but he’s really just mad that he misses seeing her around but won’t admit it to her. Enzo steps in when he sees reader and Klaus fighting and same with Klaus family. (Sorry I meant to add this onto the last ask). Thanks! Part 3 of feelings in the way with Klaus and Enzo. Reader makes sure Klaus is okay and Hope really likes her cause of how she saved her dad. Klaus shows up saying sorry and means it and tells her that he’s in love with her. That he would always want and need her but it is hard cause of his feelings.

*Part 2*

After saving Klaus, you stayed in contact with the others of the family, Hayley often called you because Hope wanted to talk to you about something and sometimes she even tried to get you to come back, you really loved Hope and you wished that you could have been around more but the threat that you made was final and there was nothing that you could do to change that but if Klaus wanted to change it you were open to this.

You were sitting in your living room when your phone rang and you smiled when you saw Hayley's name "Hello?" You asked relaxing back into your seat as you flicked through channels.

"Hey, can I ask you something?" She asked and you made a noise.

"No how are you? Straight to business huh?" You asked and she laughed.

"Sorry I don't have a lot of time, we're planning something for Hope and I was wondering if you'd be able to come down, you've become sure a big part of her life that I thought it would be nice for her to see you," Hayley explained and you smiled.

"Of course." You nodded.

"Enzo and I will be there." You promised.

"She likes him too," Hayley commented and you laughed.

"That's because he lets her do anything that she wants." You said as you heard the door open "I've got to go but when is this thing?" You asked.

"Next week on Thursday." She answered and nodded more to yourself than anyone else.

"No problem see you then," You said before hanging up the phone you looked up to see Enzo walking into the living room.

"Who are you talking too?" He asked and you looked at him and smiled.

"Hayley they invited us to something for Hope next week, we don't have anything planned so I said we'd go." You said softly and he nodded smiling.

"She's a good kid considering," Enzo said. 

"You mean like you?" You asked.

"Huh?" He asked sitting down next to you and kicking his feet up, you snuggled up next to him.

"Your a good person considering everything that you had to deal with." You said.

"I wasn't always good," Enzo said and you looked at him and shrugged. 

"You got there that's what's important." You shrugged and he nodded.

"I guess." You explained.

When you got to the gathering that they had arranged for Hope you were really happy to see that there were a couple of kids there that she had managed to make friends with. "(Y/N)!?" Hope asked as she noticed you walk in, you smiled and hugged her as she raced over. "What are you doing here?" 

"Your mum called and said that you were having a little get together and Enzo and I decided that we were going to come and celebrate with you." You smiled and she nodded and pulled Enzo over to some of her friends, you smiled as you watched them but just as you were getting settled in Klaus appeared and you looked at him and smiled, no matter how much he hurt you this wasn't about you or him so you had to keep it civil.

"You came." He noted and you nodded.

"I've been in contact with the others." You nodded. "Hayley told me what was happening." You explained.

"You seemed to be recovering well," You complimented as you looked over at Hope.

"You've been talking to them?" He asked.

"Yeah... What you said hurt my feelings there nothing more to say about it." You said.

"There is something more that we need to say," Klaus said and you looked at him and waited. "You know that I didn't mean that." 

"Maybe I did but you never seem to understand that words hurt people and you are responsible for that." You explained as you walked towards the hall where Hope couldn't see or hear you, Klaus following you. "And if you didn't mean it then why did you say it?" 

"Because... I was... am jealous, I love you and I couldn't stand that there was someone else giving you everything that I wanted to." Klaus explained and you looked at him and frowned.

"I can't leave Enzo, you know I love him, he is not someone that I can just walk away from." You reminded him and he nodded.

"I know, I was just telling you the truth." He answered before walking away, seconds later Enzo walked over and lifted your face so that you could look at him.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"What yeah I'm fine." You smiled. "He finally said sorry is all," You answered. "So how's being a kid again?" 

"I'm not being-" 

"Enzo!" There was a shout and you laughed.

"Sure your not." You teased as you shooed him off before following but your mind stayed on your conversation with Klaus, he loved you but did you love him.
