Superboy Prime punched through the multiverse. This, of course, defeated the enemy he was fighting that was trying to destroy the world, but multidimensional punches dont just affect the mortal plane.
The ghost zone, the infinite realms, felt the punch like a nuclear blast. Haunts destroyed, ghosts displaced through time and space. It was chaos.
Whats worse? Danny's friend is missing.
Danny had met Robin in the GZ during one of his adventures, the two dead teen vigilantes took to each other like ducks to water. Danny helped Robin learn about being a ghost and Robin taught Danny life skills such as: throwing a punch, lockpicking, and how not to fall for obvious traps that villians set up.
Even Sam and Tucker had met Robin, although since Robin was such a new ghost he wasnt strong enough to leave the zone for long. Young ghosts (halfas aside) needed to spend the first decade or two in the zone before they were stable enough to go back to the mortal side. Danny had offered to fly to gotham with a message for batman, but robin had declined.
Batman and he had had a fight before he died, the guy probably didnt want to see or hear about the robin that failed after all.
Robin had forbidden Danny and the others from looking into Gotham.
Danny would not be in Gotham if his friend hadn't disappeared after the sonic attack that had rocked the ghost zone. He had no idea who Robin had been under the mask. Even in death, his friend had not shared his secret identity. But Danny needed to find his friend before he destabilized into ectoplasmic goop.
So now Danny has to find Batman, convince the guy that ghosts are real and that his adopted son Robin is a ghost. He manages to find the bat signal on top of the GCPD and hails the hero.
Who has a new robin with him.
It hadnt even been a year!!! Batman had replaced his friend with a younger model, this one was wearing pants instead of shorts!! What the hell!!!
Danny is so offended that if he didn't need Batman's help to save Robin, he would so punch the guy in the face. Multiple times.
Danny explains the problem to Batman and FAKE Robin all while keeping his cool.
"His ghost probably ended up near his grave. Just get me to the cemetery, if he's there, i can find him and save him before he fades forever."
Batman agrees.
Internally, Bruce is bluescreening. His mind is just thinking: Jason. Jason. Jason. Jason! Over and over again. He needed to get to his son. Right now.
Tim wasn't expecting his first mission as Robin to go like this, he had just finished his training, but nothing he had trained for prepared him for a ghost that told him that he met Jason while fighting a magic ghost dragon.
When all three get to the cemetary, they find Jason Todd's grave empty. A hole in the grass, just wide enough for a person to crawl through. The casket has a hole punched through it. Parts of the suit Jason was buried in were torn off and caught on splinters of the wood.
"I am gonna be honest. I did not know zombies were a thing." said the ghost.
With that, all hell breaks loose in Gotham.
#jason todd#jason is in his amnesia arc right now. wandering gotham alone and in a torn up suit#a lonely drama king#danny is half convinced his friend is another halfa which would be awesome!!#the other half of him is worried he is gonna have to fight zombie!robin#batman does not have the emotional bandwidth to deal with this#internally he is screaming while on the outside he is just glaring at the world#tim drake is just happy to be here#he sends a message to Nightwing#nightwing immediately yeets himself from bludhaven to find his little wing. he doesnt care if Jason is a zombie now#if jason needs to eat brains to survive nightwing will find a way to harvest them ethically#dpxdc#dp crossover#danny phantom#dc x dp#dp x dc crossover

"If you were also an art piece, then whoever created you... must have loved you dearly."
The way Sylus always effortlessly drops the most beautiful lines of poetry...
My loverboy. My shaylaaa 💘
These lines are reminiscent of a scene in Grassland Romance. More specifically the one where Sylus says "Ta-da. My Magnum Opus" after he's braided MC's hair... just like in this new 5 star basically declaring MC as his masterpiece
I love the way his writers always tie his new cards back to the old ones... as a sappy sentimentalist I truly appreciate it ❤️
#another thing i love is this trailer being dropped on international women's day. our feminist king 🫶🏻#i'm pretty busy today so i can only yap about this card intermittently _| ̄|●#i'll get back to any messages you've sent me regarding it later today 🫶🏻 i really want to lose my mind about this with you all#sylus#lads sylus#love and deepspace sylus#sylus lads#sylus love and deepspace#sylus x mc#sylusmc#love and deepspace#lads

I still get angry when I think about how I didn't know I had asthma until my 20s because I was taught I was automatically unhealthy so that was just my lot in life. That fat people just couldn't breathe well so I was stuck like that. My friends didn't have asthma growing up and tv only showed severe symptoms of an asthma attack and only through thin people. Fat people always struggled to breathe "because fat"- they never had explanations. Just randomly being unable to get enough air to talk based on how hot and humid it was my punishment.
I only realized it when an asthmatic friend offered me her inhaler during an episode that no this is manageable.
And then I got into fat liberation and realized that even if it was directly caused by my weight that doesn't mean I deserved to suffer. Inhalers exist.
I just can't get over the bullshit they teach us. That suffering is the only way a fat person can exist. And if we don't have people around us to argue otherwise we of course accept it.

Hi.
I'm going to break my very strict format for once because I need your help. For the past 9 years, the irl human behind this blog has been involved in the effort to save a museum from incompetent and money hungry executives.
The museum is filled with precious objects, telling the story of the history of technology, and how it relates to art and society.
Many of these are objects are large, but delicate and have been in place for over 30 years.
No one within the museum's community trusts the CEO, who was appointed by a hostile former government, and prefers renting out museum spaces for business functions over educating the public.
In a few days, the museum is set to close down for renovations. Yet none of the staff or volunteers have been given any clear details about these plans. All we know is displays which have inspired generations will be torn down, likely never to be restored.
We have a petition asking the new government to step in and stop the closure:
If you could sign this, you'd be doing the human behind this blog a massive favour.
#i do not like when themed or gimmic blogs break character. you might even have noticed i almost never do it#so i won't be spamming this. please sign this one there will probably only be one reblog#If you are Australian especially from the state of NSW and have the energy to do so - please contact your local state parliamentarian#just a short message most of them have websites for this#but just signing and sharing the petition alone is a huge help - international support helps a lot too#powerhouse museum

The assumption that Faith is probably the Seed sibling who loves children the most and thinks babies are cute seems fair at first glance, especially considering how sweet and welcoming she behaves compared to her brothers, but once you’ve heard her say she thinks they’re only “a sack of screaming, shitting, crying impulses” and “have no soul”, the idea of her even having to be around them becomes so funny :’)
#to be fair the message had a deeper meaning about souls and how she believes they’re given to and taken from people by others#which to me describes both how she became faith and how she 'makes' angels#but she still said all of that haha#far cry 5#faith seed#people: 'aww I bet she loves babies'#faith (internally): 'oh my god get that soulless stinky noisy thing away from me'

I would just like to say, to any avemuji/bandori fans that struggle with moral scrupulosity or engaging with media that has/alludes to problematic elements;
You are not a bad person for enjoying said media. You are not a bad person if you don’t feel any particular way about something having problematic elements.
Obviously if it makes you really uncomfortable please take a step back and do what you need to do to make yourself feel better (blacklist tags, log off, etc.), but don’t feel like you have to completely purge yourself of something that you find entertaining/comforting just because something in it is a bit unsavory. All types of media and art dabble with darker themes.
You’re not a bad person for being interested in things, I promise.
#bandori#ave mujica#bang dream#self talk#this is coming from someone who has moral ocd and struggles with engaging with ‘problematic’ media#and this is a message that goes for any fandom and piece of media#honestly I’m not. SUPER pressed about this weeks developments because I saw it coming lmao#and this season is a psychological thriller… I was expecting fucked up themes#but even so I’m still dealing with the internal moral dilemma. ocd amirite#edit: OKAY. after digesting that episode for a bit I don’t feel that bad about it hsgshsh#the ship isn’t canon and its aggressively one sided. uika has issues but we already knew that#these girls need therapy#and my post still stands! please hang in there

one of the genuine pleasures of working with my international colleagues is teaching them american sayings and phrases that are useless, but good at expressing specific emotions. I've mentioned that "I don't want to upset the apple cart" before, which made two teams in two different countries laugh at me---now I can add describing the head of our department as someone for whom "still waters run deep," then dismissing a colleague as "he doesn't know what he's talking about, he just plays a doctor on tv". I literally saw my colleague writing these down for future reference.
#in an effort to work better with my international colleagues I have tried very hard to stop being Like This#I am well aware that speaking a second language does not involve speaking that same language like I do#which involves so many idioms allegories references synecdoches and a healthy dose of business-speak#that it barely counts as communication anymore.#still. sometimes the international teams are fascinated by my linguistic dysfunction.#anyway this week has SUCKED but I put OOO message on and I'm fucking off to drink beer and eat shrimp.#happy valentines day. specifically to me and not to [redacted].#no wonder the company has to secretly manipulate you

i feel like "it's important to not disregard the overarching message of a story in favor of fandomizing its characters for your own gratification" and "fandom, aus, and shipping are the audience's way of showing how deeply your story and characters have resonated with them and it's not disrespectful for them to want to explore dynamics and scenarios outside of what is present in canon" are two notions that can and should coexist
#sorry this is once again about#mouthwashing#like im literally out here seeing people saying that shipping and even fix-it AUs are ''''disrespectful'''' to the story#like dawg you know that most of these people still saw understood and internalized mw's message#but can still make comforting or self indulgent content if they want to right?#it doesnt mean they didnt get it#this is not an art piece we observe from behind a partition at a museum. its not static#people should be free to interact with and explore art in their own way and i think#that insisting otherwise and acting like there's a right and wrong way to interact with art#can be a very dangerous mindset to have.#personal

Noel Versus the Council Skies Tracklist
Context: If you pick just one interview of Noel's to read/listen to from the Council Skies promo run, chances are that interview will feature Noel complaining that he fucked up the tracklist--that he now believes "Think of a Number" should have been first and "I'm Not Giving Up Tonight" should have gone last.
I find his obsession with the album's messaging kind of fascinating in the context of whatever led up to the Oasis reunion, so I thought I'd put together a masterlist of interview excerpts where he explains why he made the choice he did and why he wishes he could go back and get a do-over.
I have thoughts but they're very rambly so they're going in the tags. The focus should be on the transcripts here anyway.
NME Interview Posted 3 June 2023
Noel: "Think of a Number," yeah, it's got a Bowie feel to it. If I had my chance--if I had my time again, I would have had that as the opening track on the album. I've kind of--yeah, that's--that's--I mean, every album that I make, anyway, tends to be flawed in some way, and this is almost perfect, but that's the biggest flaw, is that the opening track, "I'm Not Giving Up Tonight," should be the closing track, and "Think of a Number" should be the opening track. But I didn't think "Think of a Number" was strong enough until it was too late. You know, and, uh, yeah--what a dick. But there you go--I'm allowed to be a dick when it's my own music, so. later in the interview Interviewer: I mean, you talked about how, uh, Council Skies was about you asking "how did we get here, and how did I get here?"--as in you, not me. I know how I got here. Um, did you find any answers? Noel: (pause) No, I think--I think the last line of, um, "Think of a Number," although--although it should be the first track on the album, I think the last line of it is perfect for an ending of an album, which is--is--it's like, "let's drink to the future / I hope it comes round again." Did I find any answers? No, but I will--no, I will find them, though.
Radio X Interview Posted 8 June 2023
On "I'm Not Giving Up Tonight" Noel: The biggest or the most interesting thing, or what I find interesting is I--this should be the closing track on the album because it ends with a lot of hope, you know I mean? "I'm not giving up tonight" and all that. And I, for some reason--the track that closes the album, we'll get to that obviously at the end, but, um, I didn't feel the track that closes the album was strong enough to open a record with. It's a big, epic kind of affair, and I thought that would be a bit obvious. And, uh, I thought "I'm Not Giving Up Tonight" would be a great way to ease into a new record. If I could go back now, I'd--I'd have it closing--closing the record, but it was too late to change my mind. But, um, I do like that song. It's, uh--it's, uh--yeah, it's got a great vibe that's slightly reminiscent of Buffalo Springfield, and, uh, Gem plays a great guitar part on it. And, uh, yeah, I mean, it's--I don't know. Kennedy: Yeah, yeah, no, it's interesting. I mean, it's got the strings on it, it's got the horns on it, and there's a little bit of the gospel choir, and-- Noel: Yeah-- Kennedy: Those are all elements that are through the record. Noel: But I guess the sentiment of it is a song of defiance, you know? "I'm not giving up tonight," and that, you know, obviously writing these things in--in lockdown there was a bit--there was a bit of that in--in a lot of the songs. But, yeah, it's a grand--it kind of sets it up perfectly because it's a--it's a grand kind of opening, but it's a bit laidback as well. On "Think of a Number" Noel: I love the song. Now--and it's me playing the guitar, so it's really epic, and, so, as mad as this sounds, I didn't think that song was strong enough to open a record with. I liked it, right? And I did, and--and something inside of me hung in there with it, and--I don't like closing records on a negative kind of, uh, almost, um, what's the word I'm looking for--uh, pessimistic kind of, um, feel to it. The last line is, you know, "let's drink to the future, I hope it comes around again"--that really should have been the opening track on the album and finished with "I'm Not Giving Up Tonight," you know? That would have been the journey through the lockdown and isolation and all that. But as that song went on, I was like, you know, just didn't feel it was strong enough. I thought it was just a bit standard High Flying Birds rock kind of tune. Obviously, when we finished--when I finished it and mastered it, the penny dropped one night at home, and I was like "Oh, God," you know. And then you do the frantic "Can we change it?" and it was like, "No, we pressed up now. What are you doing?" Um, so it really should have been the opening track, but I love the lyrics on it, and they paint a really pessimistic picture of the future, which is what I was feeling at the time. And, yeah, there's some great--the lyrics are really visual, and, um, yeah, it's--I mean, it's an epic rock tune, and it's--it's got the full production and, yeah, really great.
XS Manchester Drive Posted 9 June 2023
Note: For the clip of Clint calling out Noel's pause, see definitely-rubbish's post here
Noel: Let's do a track called "Think of a Number." Clint: "Think of a Number"--now, this is the--it's the actual last track on the album, innit? Not including the bonus track? Noel: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Clint: When I heard this--and I made some notes--some of the--"Let's drink to the future / I hope it all comes 'round again." It sounds like you reaching out to somebody. Noel: Well, uh-- [Long pause] Clint: That was a brilliant pause! Noel: I could never-- Clint: That pause was amazing. It's gonna sound great on the radio, that! Noel: I could never decide if that track should have been the opening track or the closing track. And if I had my time again, I'd have it as the opening track, because the track that is the opening track, "I'm Not Giving Up Tonight," would end the album on a real--"I'm not giving up tonight"--a kind of sense of hope. But with this song, right up until the death--I never thought it was strong enough to open a record. I thought people would go, "You know, okay, well, I was expecting that from him." And--yeah, I kind of bottled it a little bit and put it as the closing track, which ends on a really bleak note, you know? Uh, but there you go. You know, you live and learn.
SoCal Sound Interview Recorded June 9, 2023
Harcourt: The opening track is "I'm Not Giving Up Tonight," and, I mean, that's full-on. Noel: Mm-hmm. Harcourt: There's bells, there's whistles-- Noel: Oh, yeah. Harcourt: It's--it's the whole thing. Noel: Yeah. Harcourt: Uh, is that at the beginning of the album for a reason? I mean, it sort of seems to set an intention. Noel: Yeah, I should have actually had it as the closing track. I think--I think there would have been a--well, so, the--the closing track is a track called "Think of a Number," and, actually, the entire track listing was set in stone very, very early, apart from these two tracks, and I kept flipping them, just to listen to at home, and I kept flipping them, and I--ludicrously, I actually thought "Think of a Number" wasn't strong enough to open a record, and I thought people would be expecting a big, kind of--and, actually, in hindsight, I should have had that as the opening track, because it would have meant the album would end on a more positive note, whereas it ends on a bit of a bleak note. Harcourt: Mm. Noel: But that's the one change I would make. Um, but, no, it's ["I'm Not Giving Up Tonight"] not there for any specific reason other than I felt like, for this--you know, my albums always open up with something huge, and I thought for this one, maybe something a bit more understated, um. But it's a fucking great song. Harcourt: It is a great song. Noel: Yeah, it's a great song. Harcourt: Yeah. Noel: The way that it--the way that it came out sounding is amazing. Yeah.
#think of a number#i'm not giving up tonight#cs album#things#noel interview#noel versus the cs tracklist#2023#nghfb#lyric analysis#i spend too much fucking time thinking about this#but if council skies is telling a story and if that story has anything to do with liam and an oasis reunion#then i feel like noel's raging internal debate about how he should begin and end the album#is kind of cool to look at#the tracklist we got and the one that apparently seduced noel into going with it means the album opens on a joyful note of defiance#an attention-grabbing message maybe to 'pretty boy' since that was always meant to follow the opener#in INGUT noel's saying he's ALREADY decided he's not giving up#and there's dancing and music and his assurance to someone that he'll be that person's port in the storm etc#like harcourt says it feels very intentional#and then the album ends on sober negotiation and uncertainty about the future--like ok now what? where do we go from here?#noel doesn't say in any of these interviews when he changed his mind--just that he did when it was already too late#but if the oasis reunion became a certainty around that same time then i think it's plausible that he started thinking about the narrative#and how much better it would have been to start the record on the sober negotiation and end with the joyful/defiant message#to make it so that council skies better reflects the journey to the reunion he was already living#also as an aside#noel did tell rolling stone in 2023 that think of a number as well as DTTW are the two songs on CS about his divorce#but i don't think that precludes the possibility that some part of think of a number is also directed at liam#as clint boon seemed to be hinting

Rachel Jamison: These are messages one of our volunteers received yesterday. They're from a foreign team now in 2nd Battalion of the ILDU that is deployed in the East. Teams often end up paying for a lot of their own transport and accommodation costs when being moved around the country and also pay for a lot of their own gear. We already have this group matched up directly with sponsors but they are asking for some additional help. Anything helps. We can match people up for a minimum of $25 a month. You're directly connected and they follow up with you of receipts and photos of anything purchased. Also lots of photos of all the cats and dogs they find. The sign up form is here.
The director of Protect a Volunteer is requesting help for a unit in the International Legion of the Defense of Ukraine deployed in the east. You can find the screenshots of the messages in the tweet linked above in her name, or under the cut below.
If you're interested in being a sponsor, consider filling out the form above.

every new episode of Brilliant Minds reaffirms how good this show is. they had an arc where heightened sexual desires were a symptom of a fatal disease and still managed to be incredibly sex positive. and not in a preachy tiktok buzzword type way but in an actual human way and I just don't think I've ever seen a show handle a story like this with so much care
#were there some vague aphobic undertones in the interns' conversation#yeah a bit#but the overall message of sex positivity#in people#especially women#of all ages#is so heartwarming and beautiful#brilliant minds#oliver wolf
