Omen and Star are apart of the World Preservation organization Interspace, which is known as the last beacon of humanity in their post apocalyptic world!!

Their unit, Group 0NE (previously known as ZERO) was sort of the organizations beta testing group, composed of five members; Omen, Phase, Stitch, Nightowl, and their leader, Riddle!

Stitch, their hacker, has a small relationship chart if you’d like an idea of their members even outside the first group!

The planet Earth is in the 2800s, where the air and sea has polluted to a point where a mechanical organ known as "Cores" had to be invented. Cores are implanted at birth, and link to all major organs through blood and veins. They take the shape of an orb outside of the skin, and can be kept anywhere on your person after reaching the age of Ten.

These Cores keep humans alive against the dangerous environment, serving as a built in immune booster and healing regimen. Thanks to Cores, humanity is still able to thrive and live full lives.

A great catastrophe hit the technology of Cores, a bug in the system that was hacked by a villainous organization known as AGONI, to which gave them the ability to render humans as mind-controlled zombies, by finding the link between the brain and core.

Yet, as Interspace founded its safe dome, everyone soon came to discover there was one group of people immune to control.

Kids and Teenagers. With no fully developed brain, the link between the core and mind is far too thin to take control of without cutting off the link completely. No matter how cruel, if they wanted to ever leave the confines of Interspace again, they’d need to send child soldiers to complete that goal.

That is where the defensive unit comes in!! Deprived of a Computer Specialist, Mechanical Specialist, 3 Front-Lines Soldiers, and One Supportive Soldiers— these groups could, in theory, save our world.

So how did Star come in?

Star, unlike most of humanity, refused to find sanctuary in Interspace, and instead stayed within the dangerous polluted city, exactly the one Team 0NE was investigating. Omen preferred doing his work in the darkest hours, keeping a secret of being not from Earth at all from his teammates.

He had crashed on Earths’ plains, and was rescued by the leaders of Interspace and nursed back to health despite being far too tall for any of their supplies. Feeling protective over the small people that decided to save him, he promised to do whatever he could to protect whatever of their world they had left.

This led him to be gifted a wristband by their Mechanics Specialist, Riddle, one that could alter his stature to that of a regular human being. On one of his outings as dutiful member of Team 0NE, he encountered Star, working as some sort of reckless vigilante.

She ran away whenever he spotted her, and for months, thats how they continued to run into one another. At some point, Omen was able to finally catch her, and after getting over her initial fear— they began to do their rounds together.

Omen wanted to help her, and despite her stubborn protests, she agreed to join Interspace under one condition, she could stay by Omen’s side.

Luckily, she was the perfect person to fill the spot of their 6th member, and Star joined their ranks.

Her and Omen bicker and argue like any siblings would, yet value and trust eachother with far more than eachothers lives <3 I love them so much

Two little roads. Both of them are leads to autumn. But very different. From one side little roads of – made of little stones. And so, summer. Well, almost. And near it is a little road with little raining and already a big amount of autumn leaves. Autumn – it is like portals to different states.

Autumn it is so strange transition state. And includes in itself lots of different states. Portals to another moods. Left and right. Two little roads. It is very good illustration! How different can be autumn! Even at the same one single day! Just go a little aside and there autumn already looks another!

Autumn - it is a time for interspace travel. Best time for synchronicity of such moments. Autumn that’s why is so different and various. So full of colors. Because of it takes a start from a different planes-spaces. Each space has something itself specific. And it is in result a orange yellow rainy autumn mix. A combination. And autumn – it is also a stable event! What a discovery here it is made, just now!

So what little road will u select? Who knows what will wait you there and what discoveries of autumn will you make for yourself?

Lighting

Hi, welcome to my devblog for Interspace! Interspace is a game inspired by Terraria and Starbound where you play as an alien struggling against the Galactic Federation and the environment, but we're not to that point yet. I want the lighting for Interspace to be sort of dramatic and reflect the danger you're in (and also look pretty), so in it's work in progress state, it looks like THIS!

Free Blocker – Abstract drawing about block

For me, 16 colors make a reference with Basic and age of Ms Dos. So, these kind of games, they were there. From the very start age of Ms Dos. As Tetris, even, this thing is like something like a Tetris. But not sure a Tetris. Arcade, such, platformer. From a word – platform, as a main role. Here, it is a development with Free Basic. With a retro style.

You are playing as cube. As a little cube. And, he is with using of a space button – he absorbs another little squares, game blocks. Which are flying from the top of the screen. For these actions, you get a game score! By the way, game has a lots of levels. There are a something like 40, of them. I am, already, even, forget about this – about a certain number of levels!

But, every level has a duration about a half of a minute up to one minute long. But, there are lots of them! From the other side. And they are different with different backgrounds. And, some logic situation. Somewhere, there are few of little cubes, someplace they are faster. Somewhere everything is slow and lots of cubes.

Such idea – to dream about MS Dos. And 16 colors. Abstract game about a block. Block – it is element. Element of screen. Square. Standard form. And 16 colors are in game. It is a valuable part of the game idea.

And one more - this a theme – arcade style of game, by its idea, here it is, already, programmed. But, everything is simple, and very abstract. And about a blocks. And, if block change with sprites, for example.  So, it will be a space fly shoot game. Or fantasy action. It is a shooter about a space. Or anything else, it can be anything. Block - it is base part of construction! Which, later, can be transformed in anything you want, as a developer!

And, one point, some achievement! I programmed it with Free Basic, I compile it with myself, I run from a makefile. I write code with editor GVim. Wow! Cool moment! It is a positive movement forward! And, it is, even, was not hard. It was normal! Block - it is element of construction. Base step. Start point.

Well, and, for now, I show art, pictures, little pictures. They are created. Based on straight game screenshots, from game itself. Everything is shown as it is. So, this way game looks as a real game. But, these are arts and drawings. So, in base – it is a game screenshots from the game. So, these arts and drawings can give an idea about the game. As it is. Game is about blocks. Squares, you know. It is easy to see! I think, by the arts and drawing!

By the way, game is symbolical. Block. It is based on blocks. Write with functions. To write a procedures. To call a procedure or a function. It is, so, a block way for build algorithm. It is, well known, for every programmer. For example, and for me too, as Basic programmer, - it is very, well know, and very valuable. And, so symbolical! Block of code. Piece of code. You can to draw simple block scheme - to put in square some logic piece. For example. Logic. It is one square. Block. To draw a screen. Block two. And so on.

So, even a name for a version of game pack Basic Pascal 1.17 has a name with code name, magic word – Block. By this certain reason! Keyword block. I think, it is a word with a big value!

And, game is for relax, of course. And, it is not hard one. With lots of levels. But not long. Background is a random way for every level. And this is a variations! So, one time, you launch a game – they are levels with background one way. In a next time, everything looks another visual way! Logics are written – pre written way, they are hardcode for every level in a logic structure of a levels. So, logics are not change from level to level.

So, mainly, it is a note interest of Ms Dos, 8 bit and 16 colors in graphics. There is here, these things. Something like Norton Commander or Volkov Commander. And Ms Dos. There, it was a blue background. For this programs.

Game is such arcade, by its idea. You move left and right and press space button. So, before you it will rush a two little cubes ahead of yourself. And, with every of them, you can to catch block, that goes from the top. Three positions at horizontal. Theme of game type Galaga. Where, only left and right. But there is no shooting here. And, by space button - two little cubes are building from your position. And with them you catch a blocks! Abstract theme. I do not make a decision to do a game about a space. Or something like fantasy, for example.

But, by the way. That, it is some interspace tunnel, there it will be a linear space. Something like it is a black hole, where everything is so different. And, maybe, even, something about a space and time.

Mainly, in the end, there are only blocks and little cubes! Base construction! Game is about block! About a cube! About a base element! Everything around – there are blocks! And 16 colors! And background – it is, random way, for every level! And lots of levels!

Basic Pascal version 1.17 "BLOCK" – most newest version. In this version there are 4 new games! Platform Ball, Cabin Pilot, Free Blocker, Free Bee. And even more retro games! It is a pack of retro games with modern versions of Basic and Pascal.
