Coding is funny as fuck (while ur not doing it.) i was trying to get something to work and it had been like an hour+ before i tried something else, longhand. (But simple way, so I still kiiinda saved some time?)
Ed was in the room w me and hearing me bitch and cuss and plead to the fucking computer, occasionally injecting jokes in my miserable fit.
I figured out what it was, faced ed, sneered and put my head in my hands. Told them, “I figured out the answer.”
Ed waited for me to continue, because what the fuck does that mean when u dont code.
Then, I said: “I don’t like the answer.”

author reclist: wolfpants
over the last few months, i've been devouring @wolfpants' works. ever since reading pages of you in two days, their rendering of harry, draco and a vast array of incredibly compelling side characters have irrevocably hooked me.
wolf is an author in enthralling motion. their fics often feature places, temporalities and contexts far removed from where canon holds & leaves us, while simultaneously being tenderly familiar, like coming home. wolf's sense of & grasp over setting leaves me breathless and dumbstruck. their different spatialities inform & infuse character in admirable ways, at various levels of craft, enjoyment and inspiration. this fandom knows and loves the draco and harry they give us, but we delight in discovering new dimensions & aspects of these characters. it's always done brilliantly believably, especially in the framework of the worlds they construct— a breath of fresh air in a forest where the trees still know your name.
wolf's works also demonstrate, sometimes explicitly, sometimes implicitly, a really significant political sensibility. most of their fics are set against backdrops tight with political tension bleeding into the characters' circumstances and interpersonal dynamics. whether through a spectrality haunting the narrative or the crucial central diegetic thread, wolf's works are layered, interrogating and collapsing delineations among private, public and political, between history and contemporaneity and between narrative and commentary.
in the interests of length & theme of this list, i've specifically selected some fics that, for me, showcase wolf's mastery & playfulness with setting, understood as deviations in place, time and universe. the broader recommendation is, of course, to check out everything wolf has ever written!
nightcall (E, 1k) ft. a long distance phone call
On a top secret Unspeakable misson, Harry calls Draco from a remote phone booth on the Isle of Skye.
a stunning portrait of desire, longing and familiarity that uses distance as a device to intensify every element. it's unbelievable how much character & context 1k words of (mostly) smut can pack in. the slivers of backstory demand your investment, inform the dynamic in crucial ways and set up some delicious stakes and tension. and some absolutely fantastic dirty talk. see also: @getawayfox's gorgeous art for this fic!
long haul (E, 8.6k) ft. plane rides, mile high club, nyc
The last person Harry expects to run into on a long haul flight to New York City is Draco Malfoy.
the way wolf writes movement— between places, between people— strokes its way up your spine, warms you, walks with you. draco and harry, buoyed in the air, let preconceived notions fall away, to be replaced by startlingly rapid and exquisite intimacy. the liminal settings, specifically, allow mature, open-minded, desirous characterisation & some of the most glorious, soft, tender sex to fall into like a warm bed.
look for me in the sun (M, 8.7k) ft. americana, roadtrip/on-the-run vibes
Harry and Draco are on the run in America after a mysterious string of werewolf-like attacks in the Muggle community causes the Ministry to impose new and harsh anti-werewolf legislation.
atmospheric writing dialled up to eleven, like the smell of ozone in the air before a thunderstorm. the sense of limbo— transience, out of place and time, the complication of home— that afflicts the circumstances of draco & harry here is heart-wrenching. a taut rumination on otherness in a variety of ways, rendered through some of the most tense and subtle writing i've encountered.
under giant mountains (E, 33.7k) ft. norwegian dragon reserves & rampant escapist tendencies
Harry doesn't know where he's going. Everyone else has their life paths figured out; he doesn't even know where his map is. Who'd have thought Draco Malfoy bathing in a Norwegian forest would be the guidepost Harry needed?
opens with harry, stuck in the same place for far too long, and draco, avoiding fixity like the plague. this fic looks at both stagnation and escapism as iterations of each other & treats them with the gentlest empathy. the norwegian dragon reserve setting, whose visuality wolf's writing captures beautifully, becomes the canvas to explore both. desire, here, was simultaneously so evident from the outset and took its time to build— longing tinged every interaction & payoff, in the form of a sequence of some of the most emotionally fraught sex scenes i've ever read, was that much sweeter.
romp and circumstance (E, 35k) ft. a historical au set in the 1800s, regency era england
Since the war, Harry Potter has gone from Saviour to Scoundrel—not that he’s complaining. With a schedule full of gorgeous men, alcohol, and late nights, why would he want to change? Enter Draco Malfoy: beautiful, sharp, and completely untouchable. When Draco comes to Harry with a proposition to help him attract an engagement, Harry’s up for it—after all, how hard can it be not falling for his former nemesis? Very hard, apparently.
the very first wolf fic i read, in a brief little fandom interlude back in 2022. i remember thinking, then, what an author, i'm really missing out these days. one of my favourite post-war harry characterisations— raucous, promiscuous, messy and at heart, a hopeless romantic. also one of my favourite draco characterisations— pristine, a little uptight, cool and distant and untouchable, except what he really wants is to be unbuttoned, messed up. the transforming sentiments of their relationship were so compelling, the build of harry's feelings was perfectly achey and tender and this draco was a complex, nuanced, frightfully sexy version that i just couldn't turn away from.
pages of you (E, 101k) ft. a 1980s non-magical au
Summer, 1980. Harry is floating between university and becoming a Real Certified Adult. He's not ready. He really isn't. In a desperate attempt to have the Best Last Summer ever, he takes a casual job at his godfather's bookshop in London, starts an illicit pen pal affair with a wordy posh boy that he's catching feelings for, all while dealing with the son of Sirius's business rival, one Draco Malfoy, insufferable know-it-all extraordinaire.
gosh, what a fic. sensitive and sprawling, this work brings the spatialities of london, sirius and remus' queer comfort of a bookshop and harry's room at the residence halls to pulsing, colourful, splendid life. i can still close my eyes and imagine the spaces this fic occurs in, how important they are to the push and pull, ups and downs of the dynamic between harry and draco. a coming-of-age/sexual awakening & exploration story, summer romance and queer political fiction rolled into one, this is a fic that's hard to summarise and easy to obsess over. perfect characterisations, writing that burrows into your soul and a plot that unfolds with the slow and steady depth of gentle lake.
and lastly, a fic that's on my tbr:
terrible people (E, 52.7k) ft. cruises, beach holidays and more of @getawayfox's masterpieces
What happens when Harry and Draco end up on the same Muggle gay cruise? They certainly didn't plan for it to happen (but their friends might have). They're stuck with each other for a week, they might as well make the most of it, right?
in conclusion: vivid, descriptive, immersive storytelling from an author who understands the intricacies of different narrative elements and leverages them masterfully. can't wait to read the works i haven't, and for everything wolf writes in the future!

November 1st Progress Update
I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Halloween, for those who celebrated!
First and foremost, real life has thrown some curveballs my way, I'll be largely unavailable at the end of this week. I have a long update here, so lets jump in.
Alpha Testing Progress: It's moving along quite well! Only 3 more scenes to implement (hi testers, I know you're waiting ♥), and then Part One will be 'complete'. Once additional testing and feedback implementation are done, it'll undergo a brief beta test. Current word count? A whopping 146k! I anticipate it crossing 150k after these scenes. And yes, I may be recruiting a few more testers today or tomorrow - I have kept applications, so if you’ve already applied, no need to reapply.
Big Shoutout: To all my testers - you're stars! Thank you for your dedication and patience.
Heights and Measures: I've been mulling over the heights of female Gabriel and male Xiao for quite a while. While I've previously addressed and altered fem Lee’s height, fem Gabriel’s has been on my mind too. I'm aiming for more diversity in my ROs, so your thoughts would be invaluable. Here’s a poll to gather some feedback. Please remember, while I deeply value your input, the final decision will be based on what feels right for the story.
About Poly Routes: Many of you have expressed excitement about the inclusion of poly routes, and I apologize for not offering clarity on their nature earlier. Rest assured, I remain committed to delivering these routes, but I aim to ensure each one is rich and fulfilling. Presently, I'm contemplating both triangle and V poly dynamics, with the goal of finding what aligns best with the narrative and characters. Although the triangle dynamic was my initial plan, I believe I may be able to implement both, but I'm still not 100% certain yet.
In structuring the poly routes, particularly as they debut in Chapter 3, I debated including the casual flings found with certain ROs in non-poly routes, alongside the deeper romantic ties intrinsic to all ROs. After reflection, I've resolved that poly routes will emphasize romance exclusively. Thus, if your character's preference leans towards no-strings-attached flings, these won't characterize the poly routes. Given the array of ROs and their diverse dynamics, not to mention non-RO flings, this decision streamlines my writing process and makes it easier for me to have one aspect to focus on with them. Your patience and understanding in this matter are deeply appreciated.
That being said: Given the depth of my story, I'm leaning towards releasing future updates in smaller segments, akin to Chapter 3's structure. This isn't just about speed but about ensuring quality across the numerous ROs and narrative paths.
Chapter 3 expanded beyond my initial imagination, causing some initial stress, making me wonder what was needed and what wasn't (but it all felt necessary). So in the end, I decided to break it, and I'm very glad I did. It's relieved a lot of my worries. This lets me keep the story's richness intact and (hopefully) reduce the wait between updates.
I've started to notice my creative process sometimes takes me beyond initial outlines, or even reevaluate them entirely, letting the story breathe and evolve more naturally. This realization is relatively new for me, but it's shaping how I approach future updates.
From Ch3 Part One and on, future updates will likely be broken into parts, potentially leading to more "Chapter #: Part One" styled releases. I hope this provides clarity on my evolving approach and is seen not only as way for me focus on individual parts, but as a way to consistently update.
I hope this all makes sense! While I don't have a specific release day in mind yet, I feel my mid-November prediction is correct. Thank you all for your continued support and love. It means the world to me!

Pairing: Ezra x trans!reader
Words: 850
Rating: M (nothing explicit but dynamics implied)
Author: Mod Mouse
Summary: You are the center of attention at Ezra's gathering.
Notes: Thanks to @jennaispunk for reading it over!
Tumblr media
The candles burn low in the intimate room casting shadows on the walls behind you. But you didn’t notice. You were looking ahead just like you were instructed to do. All you saw were the sparkles that danced on the floor from the multitudes of stars that graced the wall. Your dom had jumped on the idea of a celestial themed night at the club.
The guests for tonight filed in one by one, escorted to their assigned seats by the attendant. Wine was poured and chattered filled the space as slowly each spot was taken. A soft music from a string quartet wafted through the room, giving a high class feel to the space.
Once the last guest sat at their plate, the lights switched off sending soft murmurs throughout the crowd. All except for the spotlight on your figure. You were the center of attention for tonight. Legs spread to shoulder width, arms braced behind your back, and nude as the day you were born. Goosebumps prickled your skin as you waited patiently for your duty.
Soft footsteps ascended the raised dais to where you stood as a soft applause rippled through the crowd. You could feel the presence of your dom standing next to you, and your fluttering heart calmed. The soft fabric of his suits brushing against your chilled skin. How you ached to nuzzle into his side like you could in some scenes, but this wasn’t one of them. He had the ropes tonight, and you were the canvas.
“Welcome esteemed patrons! Thank you for joining us this twilight. Tonight we have a beautiful array of presentations for you. But first we must prepare the highlight of this carnal evening. So let’s not waste a singular moment. My ropes please.” Ezra spoke as another pair of footsteps came closer.
The attendant set the rope in Ezra’s outstretched hands. “Thank you. Now maestros, a melody.”
Soft violin music drifted through the space filling the ears of the attendants. A gentle touch on your shoulder alerting you to his orientation, but you kept your head down. His gloved hands caressed down to your shoulder blades and you instinctively lifted your arms.
“Such a stunning specimen.” Ezra praised as he slid the rope around your chest, mindful of your scars. Slowly he pulled the two sides of the rope to your back.
“Mercury takes its place as the sovereign planet keeping close to the warmth of the center of our cosmic asylum ” Ezra recited as he pulled the rope around your chest once again securing the line with the first loop.
“Venus the next sphere. Brightest amongst her peers shines as a point of lust and love in the darkest of skies.” He continued as he pulled the rope through all three loops containing your torso in the intricate ties.
His hands never leave your body as he takes his time moving in front of you. You dared take a peak at him and your stomach flushed with heat. Ezra appeared diving in his dark blue suit that glittered in the light from the intricate celestial embroidered sleeves. How you wanted to kneel for him.
“The mother Earth that houses our great inventions, and keeps us grounded.” He pulled the rope over one shoulder securing it to the front loop before repeating the step with the other shoulder.
“Mars that brings vengeance and scarlet across the horizon, and yet hope for the future of our kind.” He brought the rope back behind your back making sure everything was secure.
Ezra returned to your back as he attached another rope to the other ropes. “Jupiter whirls as the storm in his soul, and commands the legions of moons as the army of the skies.” He pulled your arms back, joining them to the knots in your back ties.
“Saturn with the rings as rich as any royalty's jewelry spinning at such incomprehensible speeds ” Adding a rope around your thigh and the other on your ankles.
“Uranaus and Neptune, the blue giants that are as frigid as their outward appearance.” A steel ring descended from the ceiling. Carefully he joined all three ropes on the ring making sure they were all tight. He turned his head and slowly the circle ascended pulling your body up slowly.
Your head dipped as the meditative sway of suspension took over your psyche. Gently you hung as the art piece you were designed to be. With one knee in the air as if you were kneeling, you drifted as the ropes subtle twisted and turned with the air.
“Ethereal!” Ezra exclaimed as applause rippled through the room “I present my solar system!” Colorful globes descended and surrounded your form representing the mentioned planets. Lazily they orbited you in slow rotation. You were his sun and he wanted everyone to know that.
Your eyes gazed down to Ezra as he watched his muse above him. Only adoration for you graced his features, and your heart fluttered in your chest. You closed your eyes once more as you fulfilled your duty to the night: Ezra’s chandelier.

Powershell syntax is not confusing
(you are just confused because posix compliant shells have corrupted your mind)
> do-action -param "string" $variable (do this first) [type]value
To declare a function:
function do-mythings {
param([int]$argument)
$argument + 5
}
> do-mythings -arg 5
10
That's all you need to get started.
Numbers are just numbers.
Inline math just works. Parentheses for order of operations.
Strings you put in quotes - double quotes allow interpolation, single quotes don't. This is the same as sh.
All variables are prefixed with $s. Even when declaring them. This makes slightly more sense than sh.
A region in {squirrelly braces} gets the [scriptblock] data type. It's like a lambda but comprehensible by mere mortals.
if (test) {success} else {fail} - the test is always executed first because (). Success and fail conditions only depending on the test. They're script blocks. No weird special syntax, if may as well be a user function.
Functions can be named anything, but the convention is Verb-PlaceThing. Not case sensitive.
Named arguments are specified with a single hyphen, like MIT Unix software (xorg for instance). If there is only one parameter the name is optional, etc. Param names can be abbreviated as long as they aren't ambiguous. This is also easy to follow with your own functions, unlike in sh (fricking hate getopt).
Types are inferred dynamically because it's easier to write scripts that way. If you need to force something (variable, expression, whatever) to have a specific type, put it in [brackets] beforehand. The type names are the same as c# and every other post-algol language. For comparison, posix shell only has one type, String.
To make an array, @(item1, item2, etc)
To make a hashtable, @{
key1 = val1
key2 = val2
}
Adding strings concatenates them together. Adding numbers adds their values. If this is not satisfactory, declare their types and it will work.
All expressions are technically objects with properties and methods. $var.property returns the value of that property. $var.invokeMethod() runs the method, which is just a function built into that data type by some poor intern 20 years ago.
Pipes (|) work similarly to sh, but transfer objects. The current object in the pipeline is always the variable $_.
As a bonus, here's a one-liner for opening Internet Explorer on Windows 11 (they lied, it's still there, they will never remove it)
(new-object -com "InternetExplorer.application").visible = $true
COM is an old windows api. Com Objects are just instances of apps. We open internet explorer as a com object.
The parentheses sets that as an expression, and its return value _is_ the exploder. It has properties like visibility, which is $false by default. This is boring so set it to $true. Now we have a real working instance of an app they've been trying to remove for years, because they can't actually remove it merely hide it away. As long as the windows api can parse HTML, this will still work.

The C Programming Language Compliers – A Comprehensive Overview
 C is a widespread-purpose, procedural programming language that has had a profound have an impact on on many different contemporary programming languages. Known for its efficiency and energy, C is frequently known as the "mother of all languages" because many languages (like C++, Java, and even Python) have drawn inspiration from it.
C Lanugage Compliers
Tumblr media
Developed within the early Seventies via Dennis Ritchie at Bell Labs, C changed into firstly designed to develop the Unix operating gadget. Since then, it has emerge as a foundational language in pc science and is still widely utilized in systems programming, embedded systems, operating systems, and greater.
2. Key Features of C
C is famous due to its simplicity, performance, and portability. Some of its key functions encompass:
Simple and Efficient: The syntax is minimalistic, taking into consideration near-to-hardware manipulation.
Fast Execution: C affords low-degree get admission to to memory, making it perfect for performance-critical programs.
Portable Code: C programs may be compiled and run on diverse hardware structures with minimal adjustments.
Rich Library Support: Although simple, C presents a preferred library for input/output, memory control, and string operations.
Modularity: Code can be written in features, improving readability and reusability.
Extensibility: Developers can without difficulty upload features or features as wanted.
Three. Structure of a C Program
A primary C application commonly consists of the subsequent elements:
Preprocessor directives
Main function (main())
Variable declarations
Statements and expressions
Functions
Here’s an example of a easy C program:
c
Copy
Edit
#include <stdio.H>
int important()
    printf("Hello, World!N");
    go back zero;
Let’s damage this down:
#include <stdio.H> is a preprocessor directive that tells the compiler to include the Standard Input Output header file.
Go back zero; ends this system, returning a status code.
4. Data Types in C
C helps numerous facts sorts, categorised particularly as:
Basic kinds: int, char, glide, double
Derived sorts: Arrays, Pointers, Structures
Enumeration types: enum
Void kind: Represents no fee (e.G., for functions that don't go back whatever)
Example:
c
Copy
Edit
int a = 10;
waft b = three.14;
char c = 'A';
five. Control Structures
C supports diverse manipulate structures to permit choice-making and loops:
If-Else:
c
Copy
Edit
if (a > b)
    printf("a is more than b");
 else
Switch:
c
Copy
Edit
switch (option)
    case 1:
        printf("Option 1");
        smash;
    case 2:
        printf("Option 2");
        break;
    default:
        printf("Invalid option");
Loops:
For loop:
c
Copy
Edit
printf("%d ", i);
While loop:
c
Copy
Edit
int i = 0;
while (i < five)
    printf("%d ", i);
    i++;
Do-even as loop:
c
Copy
Edit
int i = zero;
do
    printf("%d ", i);
    i++;
 while (i < 5);
6. Functions
Functions in C permit code reusability and modularity. A function has a return kind, a call, and optionally available parameters.
Example:
c
Copy
Edit
int upload(int x, int y)
    go back x + y;
int important()
    int end result = upload(3, 4);
    printf("Sum = %d", result);
    go back zero;
7. Arrays and Strings
Arrays are collections of comparable facts types saved in contiguous memory places.
C
Copy
Edit
int numbers[5] = 1, 2, three, 4, five;
printf("%d", numbers[2]);  // prints three
Strings in C are arrays of characters terminated via a null character ('').
C
Copy
Edit
char name[] = "Alice";
printf("Name: %s", name);
8. Pointers
Pointers are variables that save reminiscence addresses. They are powerful but ought to be used with care.
C
Copy
Edit
int a = 10;
int *p = &a;  // p factors to the address of a
Pointers are essential for:
Dynamic reminiscence allocation
Function arguments by means of reference
Efficient array and string dealing with
9. Structures
C
Copy
Edit
struct Person
    char call[50];
    int age;
;
int fundamental()
    struct Person p1 = "John", 30;
    printf("Name: %s, Age: %d", p1.Call, p1.Age);
    go back 0;
10. File Handling
C offers functions to study/write documents using FILE pointers.
C
Copy
Edit
FILE *fp = fopen("information.Txt", "w");
if (fp != NULL)
    fprintf(fp, "Hello, File!");
    fclose(fp);
11. Memory Management
C permits manual reminiscence allocation the usage of the subsequent functions from stdlib.H:
malloc() – allocate reminiscence
calloc() – allocate and initialize memory
realloc() – resize allotted reminiscence
free() – launch allotted reminiscence
Example:
c
Copy
Edit
int *ptr = (int *)malloc(five * sizeof(int));
if (ptr != NULL)
    ptr[0] = 10;
    unfastened(ptr);
12. Advantages of C
Control over hardware
Widely used and supported
Foundation for plenty cutting-edge languages
thirteen. Limitations of C
No integrated help for item-oriented programming
No rubbish collection (manual memory control)
No integrated exception managing
Limited fashionable library compared to higher-degree languages
14. Applications of C
Operating Systems: Unix, Linux, Windows kernel components
Embedded Systems: Microcontroller programming
Databases: MySQL is partly written in C
Gaming and Graphics: Due to performance advantages

JavaScript
Introduction to JavaScript Basics
JavaScript (JS) is one of the core technologies of the web, alongside HTML and CSS. It is a powerful, lightweight, and versatile scripting language that allows developers to create interactive and dynamic content on web pages. Whether you're a beginner or someone brushing up on their knowledge, understanding the basics of JavaScript is essential for modern web development.
What is JavaScript?
JavaScript is a client-side scripting language, meaning it is primarily executed in the user's web browser without needing a server. It's also used as a server-side language through platforms like Node.js. JavaScript enables developers to implement complex features such as real-time updates, interactive forms, and animations.
Key Features of JavaScript
Interactivity: JavaScript adds life to web pages by enabling interactivity, such as buttons, forms, and animations.
Versatility: It works on almost every platform and is compatible with most modern browsers.
Asynchronous Programming: JavaScript handles tasks like fetching data from servers without reloading a web page.
Extensive Libraries and Frameworks: Frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue make it even more powerful.
JavaScript Basics You Should Know
1. Variables
Variables store data that can be used and manipulated later. In JavaScript, there are three ways to declare variables:
var (old way, avoid using in modern JS)
let (block-scoped variable)
const (constant variable that cannot be reassigned)
Example:
javascript
Copy code
let name = "John"; // can be reassigned const age = 25; // cannot be reassigned
2. Data Types
JavaScript supports several data types:
String: Text data (e.g., "Hello, World!")
Number: Numeric values (e.g., 123, 3.14)
Boolean: True or false values (true, false)
Object: Complex data (e.g., { key: "value" })
Array: List of items (e.g., [1, 2, 3])
Undefined: A variable declared but not assigned a value
Null: Intentional absence of value
Example:
javascript
Copy code
let isLoggedIn = true; // Boolean let items = ["Apple", "Banana", "Cherry"]; // Array
3. Functions
Functions are reusable blocks of code that perform a task.
Example:
javascript
Copy code
function greet(name) { return `Hello, ${name}!`; } console.log(greet("Alice")); // Output: Hello, Alice!
4. Control Structures
JavaScript supports conditions and loops to control program flow:
If-Else Statements:

Oooooooof. I finally finished the "Readability" assignment for CS50 week 2, and I encountered the typical problem I have with coding challenges: assuming it's more complicated than it actually is.
The assignment description is as follows:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So immediately I thought, "Okay, I have to get the first 100 words of the text and then calculate both the number of letters and the number of sentences in those 100 words. Right?"
Wrong. After struggling with this one for days and days, attempting to learn stuff about dynamic memory allocation and the strtok() function and all sorts of stuff above my level, I was informed that we don't actually have to worry about the "100 words" thing. We can just use the entire text input, no matter how long it is. -_-
I had already written so much code (most of it functional, even!) in the process of trying to figure out how to chop off a string of unknown total length after the first 100 words (also not knowing the lengths of any of those words) and then split it into arrays both by words and by sentences. It was truly brain-breaking stuff. And then it turns out I didn't need to put in all that effort, and the actual solution is really easy. Like... embarrassingly easy.
Oh well, at least that one's finally finished and I can move on :'D

Dexter Title Evaluation - Mise-en-scene
In the opening sequence of the crime drama, ‘Dexter’, the protagonist is displayed as an ambiguous character who makes ordinary tasks appear gruesome and murderous. The sequence contains an array of insert shots and extreme close ups to follow the title character’s morning routine.
The first thing we - as an audience - see on screen is an ECU of a mosquito landing on a male shoulder. The immediate reaction, of killing the bug, straight away gives the audience a sense of the power dynamic between him and other characters in the show. The mise-en-scene throughout the entirety of the titles give a symbolic representation of the characters traits and personal qualities, each object or action shown having connotations of violence or murder. This idea is demonstrated with the repeated use of the colour red and objects that look like blood and/or human flesh. At the start, when we see the protagonist shaving his beard, there is a single drop of blood that drips down from a cut in his neck. We then see the man blot away the blood with some tissue and are then seeing the tissue fill the frame whilst the ‘innocent white colour’ is infected with the ‘gruesome red colour’. We then see the unrevealed figure making breakfast with a sequence of insert shots where he cuts meat, fries eggs, filters coffee and slices through a blood orange before he covers his plate of food in watery-looking ketchup. As a viewer you can’t help but feel uncomfortable when watching the extreme close ups of the protagonist biting through what seems to be almost-raw meat and scraping his cutlery across the bloody-looking plate. Both the meat and the smashed up blood orange seem to give the impression of human flesh and tying to the murderous theme through its connotations with cannibalism.
Furthermore, there is another violent theme of strangulation in this clever opening sequence. This is shown through the close ups of both dental floss and shoelaces, each example shown to be wrapped tightly around the protagonist's fingers and pulled tightly as if he was suffocating somebody with string or rope. Every action performed by ‘Dexter’ is an example of how innocent acts can be portrayed as unsettling and violent within the right contexts and the dual possible perception of these actions can be a symbol for the character’s duality in his work-home life.

Code Winter
In a city where dreams converge, we met among shared ambitions. A connection like two strings of code, entwined, debugged, but never broken.
Through weeks (0x1A) and months (0x2B), we crafted a program of forever friendship. One cold winter—our shared workspace— where struggles and fights compiled into a bond unyielding.
We've talked in loops, nested conversations of a thousand "what-ifs," but no if-else statement has dared declare a tender truth.
In some parallel universe, a variable (love) exists, but in this reality, I'd rather not execute that script than risk losing you.
You, (0x267), me, (0x254), a cultural array coded into this dynamic function.
And though I may dream of a shared home and futures undefined, I’ve run simulations of all outcomes: whether your heart processes elsewhere, I'll console myself with the console.log("friendship forever").
Because friendship? It’s the root of this program, and I won’t let my love's error handler break the code we've built.

17/11/2023 || Day 110
LeetCode
Did a medium-level question both yesterday and today. I'm doing questions involving a sliding window, and today I managed to solve a question that involves a dynamic sliding window by myself without looking anything up. Mind you, my result's speed only beats 5% of other Java users, but hey, I got it done. I know I'm absolutely gonna jinx myself by saying this, but I think I've gotten a lot better at solving array/string problems compared to when I first started doing LeetCode back in June. Yesterday's problem took me basically no time, and today was probably a little over 30 mins...? Certainly better than 2 hours, though I still run into problems that take me that long to complete.
Frontend Mentor REST Countries - Log #1
Decided that even though I'm burnt out, I still need to do some programming, and doing another Frontend Mentor takes away the boredom of coming up with designs. I worked on it for 1.5 hours today and I got the dark mode toggle to work, and got started on some of the CSS. That's honestly the most I've programmed for a project in a week.
