MY FIRST ASK FINALLY ( ok there was one before this but i didn't see that I'LL GET TO YOU LATER SORRY ) hiii . i can do that 4 u. idk if u meant glitchy or Normal Red so i'll just tack them all in one big post. we love champions who are slightly deranged ( and also red. who's like. just normal. relatively. ) i can write so much for these 3 you will regret it. some of these became general headcanons but i hope this feeds you for at least a week.

dating headcanons for red, steven, and glitchy red!

Red

♡ of course, he's mute - whether selectively or he just literally can't speak ( or almost literally never chooses to speak ). i prefer the ladder bc red speaking feels wrong. due to this, if you know sign, he can communicate that way - but he's also really good at just like.... gesturing. it may be harder to understand at first, but the more you get to know him the more you learn certain expressions or gestures. he also makes noises, grunts(?) of affirmation, hums, things like that. he really likes making those sorts of noises actually, especially if you're dating him. he's actually pretty expressive when he wants to be, so he's not that hard to understand.

♡ on a related note, he likes to hold you ( being the big spoon... he likes making you feel comfortable and protected ) and hum against you, making you sorta feel his chest vibrate a little bit.

♡ his form of affection is very much physical, he loves to hug you and to hold your hand. even if he's the champion ( or an ex-champion? it's unclear, nobody's really stated to dethrone him iirc, he just takes breaks, vacations, and does tournaments sometimes ) he won't care about giving you physical affection in public for the world to see. especially if it flusters you but you don't seriously have an issue with it, then he loves to give you just little kisses on the cheek. when your face is red ( pun semi-intended ) it makes you look cute, to him.

♡ if you have a pokemon team of your own or are in any way interested in battling he'll love to show you the ropes or help you get better at it. he won't fight you immediately if you're not that great, but he will tell you what pokemon he thinks you'd like ( probably just . showing you ones in his pokedex or googling them idk. ) . he just loves to teach and help people get better at things bc you know battling and catching mons is this dudes special interest all the way. he even probably knows and cares about IVs and EVs and natures, but doesn't teach you about those immediately since its more advanced stuff.

♡ also yea he's autistic. All of these 3 are actually. Massive win for the autism community.

♡ if we're making strangled red canon to this red's timeline the reason he's so interested in pokemon training and battling is bc he looked up to steven who Also loved that shit to death. steven at his prime was arguably even more competitive and good than red was. to be determined though since he fucked off, but he was probably an undefeated champion until the incident. This is more of a general red hc than a dating one and also more of a steven hc but it's semirelated. if not, he probably had a lifelong interest in this sort of stuff via watching the other champions in other regions on his tv, in the news, or something like that.

♡ sometimes if you explicitly agree to it ( bc he doesn't want to give you things you don't want or don't wanna be responsible for ) he'll randomly just... give you a pokemon he caught. he just gives you it and goes 'thought of you when i saw this.' in sign.

♡ his pokemon are also naturally protective of and like you too. give them pets and treats and they will be all over you. they might even be more affectionate with you than red sometimes. red doesn't take serious offense to it, he thinks its funny tbh.

♡ his idea of dates are either entirely regular things like going to a cafe or having a picnic or it's shit like hiking up mt. silver or flying on the back of his massive fucking charizard and just seeing where the wind takes you two. he's an adventurer at heart, and if you like that then you'll love him bc one month you'll be in kanto in his house and the next you'll be in fucking galar or something. never a dull moment, really.

♡ massive cuddler. as said before. big spoon, although he won't object to being the little spoon if you really wanna. will Not let go of you unless you really want him to as well. he snores a little in his sleep, but not to a disruptive degree. it's cute. alternatively, if you don't wanna cuddle him he'll probably have plushies or a pillow he holds in his sleep instead. me, my boyfriend, and his 500 poke four-foot tall pikachu plushie

♡ he's not too much of a fashion guy but he does find matching outfits cute. honestly, he'd buy you the same or a similar hat/vest as his just bc he thinks you'd look really cute in it.

♡ he's probably taller than you. not comically, but noticeably. likes to pat your head sometimes. he finds it funny if ur shorter than him like damn. How's the weather down there.

♡ gives so many kisses. doesn't give many on the lips, actually? especially in public. he Will but not as often. he really loves kisses on the cheek in particular, giving and receiving. the loverboy...

♡ overall A tier boyfriend. big teddy bear type of guy. amazing cuddles. 10/10.

Steven

♡ assuming this is far past all 3 of his stories ( post miki and mike death, post whatever the hell he did in doors open and strangled ) how the fuck did you even start dating him

♡ regardless of the way ( i like to think that you stumbled into his home out of curiosity and he just was sort of irritated but let you stay and then became attached ), i'm assuming this is past all of that, and therefore steven has become a little less fucking murderous. if you met him earlier while he was still in a very easy to anger state, he'd probably've killed you. he knows this and he's always going on horrible thought processes of 'oh god what if i hurt them too' and that sorta thing.

♡ 100% taller than you. he's like 6'5" or taller. perhaps even Inhumanely Tall due to like missingno or something. he's usually slouching all the time due to this and he has horrible scoliosis and back problems probably. but when he stands up to his full height. jesus christ. he will def tease you, usually wordlessly and with actions, by just like. leaning on you or putting his hand flat on yours to emphasize the height difference. he thinks its funny.

♡ steven, like glitchy, is actually really social despite how he looks and acts. or at least, craves being social - or socialized with. he used to be looked up to, he used to talk to people and often, and he used to be a champion. of course, he was still a man of few words back then as well, but not as few as he is now. due to this, he'll mostly give you straightforward answers or sentences, and slowly become a bit more talkative as the relationship progresses. still, he does prefer to just listen to you talk and nod along or hum in approval... your voice comforts him.

♡ you also have to be decently far in the relationship to coax him into doing this, but he may even go out with you. like. Like out into the world. he's been so scared of how everything's changed, and of course, he does go out sometimes but he tries to avoid society as hard as he can. Do not ask steven how the fuck he got into bell tower he probably just snuck in there one night after flying to johto w miki or some shit. i like to think he himself either requested all of his info be just sort of swept under the rug after he lost miki due to feeling like he didn't deserve to be a champion without her, or the kanto league intentionally tried to make everyone forget about him after his dissapearance - since it's been so long, this has been relatively successful. only red, blue, daisy, and oak would probably know him nowadays along with some older pallet town and kanto residents probably. therefore if you wanna take him out into the world maybe avoid pallet town since it's oughta be cause for a lot of concern to the townspeople, and he really doesn't want to worry them all.

♡ despite this he does worry about the remaining residents. he never got to see red or blue go on their own journeys since he became a hermit before that happened, so he's worried about their safety. if you tell him they're fine he'll be so fucking relieved. Alternatively, they're not ( snow on mt silver and or blue tears, among other pokepastas that could've happened ) but you know. don't tell them if they aren't fine, he doesn't want to know. either way, he also feels extremely awkward about the whole daisy thing as he never officially broke up with her, he just sort of left. but obviously, he's in a relationship with you now - he just can't help but worry about her as well sometimes.. mostly just hoping that she's had a better life than he has.

♡ his voice is gruff and rough and a little scratchy from not using it that much. this won't change too much but if you're into that then well. good news for you ig. please give this man tea with a lot of honey he needs it. and he also probably likes tea more than coffee anyways for various reasons.

♡ he sometimes has nightmares about The Incident ( both miki's death, which is scarred into his brain, and murdering mike. possibly also him killing two unrelated people who were probably kids in doors open and strangled as well, but much less than his nightmares about murdering mike and miki dying. he has a lot lying on his conscious ). he'll wake up silently, probably sweating and trying not to wake you up, but if you do wake him up, just talk to him - take his mind off of it or relax him. he'll appreciate it. he'll happily do the same for you.

♡ hugs you really tightly. is not aware of his own strength or grip until you ask him to do it less. he hugs you like you'll die if you escape his arms, essentially. due to this he will also hug you a lot while cuddling, especially in bed. he doesn't want you to leave his embrace, and may even be a little tentative to let go if you ask him to.

♡ type of dude to wake up early morning, grumble something about "five more minutes," sleep in and then fall asleep with you again and then the two of you wake up at like 5 pm with major bedheads. he has a nonexistent schedule. he doesn't even sleep that often, usually opting to just stay up until he physically can't keep his eyes open. he sleeps... for very long periods of time.

♡ he likes to take walks and just roam. he did this a lot more before he killed mike but after miki died, just roaming and pacing endlessly across kanto since he had nothing else to do, and now he sort of doesn't do it out of fear of someone recognizing him.. but if you say you're gunna go on a walk he'll happily ask to join, just... expect him to not follow if you go into an area that's too public. it overwhelms him + fear of being recognized or perceived in general by people that aren't you.

♡ he has PTSD, depression, BPD, and probably more. be patient with him. he can sometimes moodswing or close himself off from you because he's scared he'll hurt you and may even intentionally push you away as a sort of mental self harm method. just give him time and be patient. he never wants to hurt you when he's like that, he's just scared.

♡ it's funny how we've gotten this far without mentioning miki that much. anyways! miki. steven still has her, still is very overprotective of her, and that does not change with you. of course he's mostly sure that miki can hold her own so he's more scared of how she might react to you, but she's perfectly fine about it. steven will often allow her to just wander on her own accord around the house, so you might have some Unintentional Miki Jumpscares, especially since she likes to follow you sometimes. going to the bathroom and then exiting? face first into colliding with miki's stomach. she's like a cat. she really likes you and is also very curious about you. steven will often allow you to take her with you if you go outside as a defensive method, even though you probably have your own pokemon. even if you don't want her to come with you she'll usually follow you outside like a dog who wants to go on a walk - or a fly - really badly. she'll also offer you random things she finds lying around like rocks or sticks. steven will often not be far behind either if you and miki are outside, since he's both very worried about you and miki to a pretty equal degree. he finds her attitude towards you very cute though, and is happy that she takes to you quite well.

♡ if you're affectionate with miki, steven will find it very cute. especially considering her whole... condition. which steven was worried about you seeing. but if you're fine with it then those worries calm down a lot. steven loves to talk about her as well - it's one of the few things you can ask him that actually will prompt him to say much more than a few sentences at a time. he will ramble about how wonderful and powerful she is and how him and her were undefeated champions of kanto... at least until the incident. miki and you are sort of the last things he has that can make him smile genuinely anymore and he loves both very much.

♡ he may talk to you, probably in one of his sort of unstable spiralling states, about the Incidents(tm) and how you should stay away from him and that he's a monster. he'll genuinely sort of break if you still show him affection after how much he tries to push you away in his unstable states. it does reassure him, but he's so confused as to why you're still even with him sometimes. all he can think of is... why would someone want a murderer like him?

♡ a lot of his skills wore down since he self-isolated for years and years. he does cook well though. just buy him groceries so not every dinner and lunch between you two is a microwave or oven meal and he'll cook for you. he's especially good at making dinners. type of dude to wear an apron with kiss the cook on it. his eating behaviors are very unhealthy ( he doesn't eat that much ) so doing this also sort of helps him get back into that. if you also have bad eating behaviors he'll try to help you out as well.

♡ fucking loves pokemon battling and being competitive, which has obviously taken a backseat since The Incident(s), but he'll be happy to help you with anything pokemon related, similarly to red. he's such a massive tryhard, or at least was, when he was still on his journey that he knows almost anything and everything about how to make your pokemon the strongest they can be - he was allegedly an undefeated champion after all. he'd happily battle with you, if uh, miki didn't have the high possibility of accidentally killing your own pokemon. and he released all of his Normal Pokemon. so. but he'll help you catch pokemon and will be happy with treating your pokemon like his own as well. he just hopes they'll all get along with miki...

♡ similarly, if you have any plans to do the gym challenge in kanto, he'll raise an eyebrow in intrigue and help you but will give you a warning of "It's been a couple years, so things might not be the same, but from what I remember..." and will straight up tell you all of their teams and everything he remembers abt each gym battle. those days were very memorable and happy for him so he remembers each triumphant victory him and miki had against each gym leader and elite four member happily.

♡ if you become the champion - of either kanto or a different region entirely, or were already - it would make things a little complicated, considering most people treating champions like celebrities and steven did Not want anybody to know you were dating him nor wanted the publicity, as it'd cause complications probably. but he'd be happy for you. it'd be very ironic though... a champion dating an ex champion... he is attracted to people who were strong though, and you were no doubt strong if you became a champion.

♡ reaaallly loves hugging you. especially backhugs. he likes surprising you with a backhug, since he's honestly pretty good at sneaking around. thinks you getting scared is a little funny, admittedly, but he'll stop if asked. like red, he also loves being the big spoon and humming so you can sort of feel a vibration from his chest. very comforting and good to go to sleep to.

♡ he sort of just... follows you around wherever you go, really. doesn't have much else to do.

♡ a fact that many people forget is that steven is canonically a gamer for better or for worse. he has so many stocked-up consoles and games and i like to think he collects them too. due to this he will happily play games with you or watch you play them happily. he will try to impress you w how well he plays certain games bc he's a bit of a nerd. he also knows glitches in a lot of games he owns #lol

♡ i like to think that pokemon cards exist in universe and he probably also just collects those. he has every charizard card to date. don't ask him how he got those, he'll just give you a Look and refuse to answer ( either paid way too much or stole them or something ).

♡ continuing the whole collecting thing he has all of his trophies and badges and adjacent stuff lined up somewhere near his bed. will happily brag to you about how he got each one in hopes to impress you, and also to reminisce on the better times. He also probably has a charizard plushie or two.

♡ if you wanna style his hair he'll allow you. feel absolutely free. he really doesn't do much with it other than lazily wash it nowadays anyways, so he doesn't mind. he likes the sensation of your hands in his hair as well... it's comforting. just try not to tug or yank his hair.

♡ he's a little overprotective and he will often try to keep you in his home. he's worried about losing you if you go outside, and he isn't too willing to follow considering his urban legend reputation within kanto. things like asking you to stay just a few more days, but he'll always say that when you mention needing to leave. if you're persistent enough, he'll let you go, but he's just worried... and very clingy. be sure to at least send him messages ( if he even has a phone ), if you intend to be gone for longer than a day.

♡ if you have a pokemon team, which, you probably do, he'll be happy to learn about and get along with each and any of them. as long as they get along with miki or are at least willing to, he's fine with them.

♡ overall very depressed man but he's also a big teddybear and loves you sooo much he just isn't good at expressing it. 10/10 ( <- clearly biased )

Glitchy Red

♡ glitchy, on the other hand from red, is Very fucking talkative. red and glitchy are like... the opposite of eachother which i find very funny. not entirely, of course they share similarities due to being generally the same person, but being trapped in a game so long made him desperate for any sort of touch, any sort of contact, any sort of socialization of ANY kind. which is why he's talkative - he may stumble over his own words or trip up on them since he's only used to speaking through textboxes, which embarrasses him. don't comment on it or he'll probably just not talk for the rest of the day.

♡ sometimes if you touch him you'll get that static shock . he'll apologize a lot if he ever does this because it's usually unintentional and just a thing that can Happen due to his whole... state. happens more often when he's upset, happens less when he isn't.

♡ his glitches seem to stutter to a sort of rhythm sometimes. if you're observant enough, these usually give away his current emotional state. he gets glitchier the more upset he is, obviously, and he gets more stable the more happy he is. so around you... he's usually pretty stable.

♡ really likes holding your hand. it assures to him that yes, you are real... and you are with him. any form of contact makes him happy, but holding his hand is just simple and nice and it grounds him.

♡ if this isn't in the pokemon universe, then i'd like to think you can play pokemon games around him and he'll just commentate on it and won't be too bitter as long as modern red doesn't show up. he probably unironically likes a lot of the pokemon he's never seen, but will just go like. "tch. whatever. pikachu's better." under his breath, since he never wants to admit he likes anything pokemon related past certain gens. he's that type of dude who'd get so unnaturally angry about dexit.

♡ he's also very judgemental about the way you play games, especially pokemon lol. he's a fucking backseat gamer oh my god. he's honestly not that actually genuine abt his comments hes just very used to bitching abt the way ppl play games due to Being in one for so long. he did it to annoy people and make them stop playing and it worked. if you get a little angry at him about this he'll notice and mumble an apology.

♡ like steven, he'll just follow you around and hang around you for most of the day. he legitimately doesn't have anything else to do, so.

♡ he doesn't need to sleep or eat, but he can still feel the sensations of taste and touch and he fucking loves finally having self-agency and the ability to feel these things. everything in his own world became extremely dull, even the pain after a point. plus he never ate food in there, so yk. due to this will eat a lot of food and will touch anything he can, intaking their textures.

♡ has autism, probably ptsd, misophonia ( especially with fucked up game noises they'll make him go into a state of pretty raw anger ), bpd, and prob more.

♡ loooves cats and cat pokemon and anything adjacent and im definitely not taking this headcanon from like several artists. really likes litten and skitty, particularly.

♡ if you let him, he loves to just touch you all over. just like. rub your cheeks. pat your head. run his hands through your hair. he's so unused to feeling any of this that he can get absolutely lost in feeling how ... real you are.

♡ he's the type of guy to chug cans of monster and then wonder why his bodys reacting poorly, glitching all over the fucking place as he has a sugarrush like response to it. he didn't even know that could Happen as a bodily response so he's just so panicky when he intakes too much sugar or caffeine until you explain that to him LMAO

♡ he'll take up like several hobbies and then drop most of them out of impatience and disinterest, but he'll try almost anything once. he does like idly cooking or cleaning since they're useful to the both of you.

♡ loves to go outside and explore. it's the red in him. if you allow him to he loves to just take your hand and walk around wherever you live. if you get tired, he'll carry you, since he doesn't really get tired - if he does, not as quickly as you do for certain. people may give him odd looks, but he could care less.

♡ his kisses feel like electricity but in the best way

♡ on a related note, kiss him all over. he'll get so flustered and he'll stutter out cute little embarrassed noises and then he'll just pull his cap over his face to hide his expression a little.

♡ ... admittedly, he's like the only guy on this list who prefers to be the little spoon, but he'll default to the big spoon just because he likes to make you happy. but the second you have your arms around his body he'll never want you to let go. he's insanely touchstarved. he's like a cat that constantly is rubbing against your leg for attention after this. please hug him throughout all times of day.

♡ despite being so talkative theres some days where he just doesn't feel like saying too much. mostly because he's tired, in any sense of the word, or overthinking or something. just be patient and loving with him.

♡ it's actually pretty easy to make him flustered or to make him smile. give him any form of compliment, praise, or touch, and his face will be red ( pun intended, again ) and he'll be smiling so large. it's really cute.

♡ his hair is sharp to the touch if he's unstable and stressed, but if he isn't it's very fluffy. run your hands through his hair and take his cap off and he'll fall asleep so quickly.

♡ speaking of, like red, since theyre... yk the same person for the most part, he also snores. it just has a sort of glitchy tone to it like his voice does. it is comforting though, and he snores a lot louder than regular red.

♡ wouldn't it be funny if he could enter your dreams while you sleep too like at the end of the og pokepasta. if you have a nightmare he just notices somehow and beats the nightmare to death and just cuddles you and helps you feel better. either that or he just gets so lonely that he just visits you in your dreams sometimes to talk to your consciousness. he probably has a lot of sleepless nights where he'll just enter your dreams to have something to do.

♡ overall, very easily embarrassed and flustered touchstarved boyfriend. he's a little moody but he's very cute. 10/10. i am never ranking one of these mfs under 10/10 because im biased.

-whenever he's not around, the others would always tell his students how cool and strong he is, and the kids would be so amazed bc ofc, the two Heroes and the Champion looking up to their teacher? Their Gym Leader? Ofc they'd eat that up, and they'd listen more to Cheren cause they wanna be strong like him now too

•Iris and N having that solidarity that they never had much friends, or rather didn't really have friends, when they were younger and the Nuvema kids mean so much to them bc it's the first ever friend group they had

-and really the first friend group that doesn't make fun of anything abt them and how odd they are

•Iris is that rich friend let's be real, she's Champion and her grandpa is the mayor of a city, ofc she'd have that money, and she'd just spend most of it buying lil gifts for her friends, usually Dragon themed stuff, or things that she thinks they'll like

-shes the one that goes all out during their birthdays and Christmas, saying how she's only getting the best for her friends

•N is staying w Alder now, as the others didn't just want him to fly around Unova or stay inside Plasma's old castle, and hey they all wanted to let N stay w em, but N decided to just stay w Alder instead and Alder was more than happy

-he also helps Alder in teaching the kids more abt Pokémon, it makes him happy how patient the children are and how understanding they are when it comes to their partner pkmn

-it makes him miss his own Pokémon sometimes, but he knows they're happy wherever they are

•altho Bianca would often say she's the weakest of the bunch, she's actually a really capable trainer that she got to the semi finals in the PWT

-the others did help her train, as they didn't want her getting hurt while running errands or doing research stuff

-yknow what, Bianca's Serperior deserves to have Contrary, so hey her Serperior's ability is now Contrary, as a treat

-bonus tho, Hilbert's Emboar has Reckless as an ability

•Zekrom, Reshiram, and even Kyurem would listen to Cheren, Bianca, and N's commands

-pls ur honour they trust each other so much that even their legendary pkmn would listen to the ones that aren't even their actual trainers

•Hilda and Hilbert could impersonate each other really well when they were younger, ofc now they have different body types they couldn't anymore, but they could still somewhat mimic each others voices that it honest to god still scares Cheren

Which, first off, upon reading that, I immediately knew: Janeway has never lost this game even once. The fic actually confirms this lmao. Doesn't matter which role she's in, I believe she's the unbested champion.

But I also gotta say... I believe this is something they could totally canonise in Lower Decks. It would absolutely fit the tone. Either way, I want like 20 fics of Mariner's epic wins (but only as ensign) and Boimler's hilarious failures. He's playing as captain and gets a boner and is instantly disqualified. Not sure how Tendi and Rutherford fared, any ideas? (Oh and Ransom would always brag about being great ofc but give up/in very quickly when it actually came to it)

Four exists in this nebulous area of "what the actual fuck am I supposed to do about the vision" because you have clear elemental assignments to the colors but the majority of the time he's not split and straight up having four visions simply. Would not make sense.

Pyro Wars and Anemo Wind are decided because I'm actually posting a fic about them tomorrow (technically today) lol. Kinda wish I had thought of Cryo tho 😔

I was originally going for Geo Time because he's very stable and such. Something a bit like Noelle, actually, abilities wise. Then Dendro was suggested and I remembered I write him as a little shit lol

I'm still undecided on Legend's vision (meaning I have no idea). Electro would be good, like you said... but what about Anemo? For his dead friend, Marin? (That's a joke (actually wait that's something to consider...))

Actually... doesn't one of his medallions summon lightning? It's not really super relevant, but...

Twilight I'm almost positive I'm going to pick Electro for (some of the Twili/shadow magic in the game is kinda electricky), but honestly it could go to Dendro or Geo...

Wild was a near instant pick for Anemo. I'll admit there wasn't any deeper meaning I just thought "likes gliding" and "dead friends". Kinda funny if he just woke up in the shrine with it, because he received it right before he died, right?

(Another cool thing- Venti does have some association with the god of time, and flurry rush and bullet time are very clearly time manipulation)

I was thinking something like Kazuha's and Venti's skill, which I'm now realizing would render Revali’s Gale obsel- actually wait what's up with the other races?

We have four races (excluding Sheikah, Hylians, humans, and whatever the fuck the Surface and Termina had going on), all of which are heavily associated with an element, as well as four Champions even more heavily associated with it.

First- the Champions.

It seems unfair to just erase Revali’s hard work with the use of an Anemo vision, so if he does have one, that's not it. The other Champions, they all had their abilities at birth (well, maybe not Urbosa, but nothing in the game seems to suggest otherwise).

Daruk's Protection can't be replaced with a vision, because Yunobo has it as well (and even if he happened to have the same vision, it still wouldn't make sense). Mipha’s Grace doesn't seem like a genetic ability, so she could have had a viso-

Ok but what if Sidon felt... less than her because he never received one, and she did from an early age? We already know he doesn't think he's as good as her, so...

(Would he receive one fighting Vah Ruta? Unlikely. Could he receive one fighting Waterblight and protecting Mipha? Maybe.)

Side thing over- it's very likely Mipha’s abilities are aided by a vision, some more Hydro healing.

Another side thing- what would happen if a Zora received an Electro vision? It's a bad match, we all know that, but would they receive resistance to it as well? Or simply never use or receive one?

Urbosa's Fury... could be genetic, could be a vision, but honestly, any of them using a vision just... simply doesn't make much sense considering they can pass on the abilities.

That's a problem for future me though. On to the races in general.

Considering no nation in Teyvat seems to have a lot of vision holders that correspond to that nation's element (excluding Sumeru, but we'll forgive that lol), the same should apply to the races of Hyrule- as in, Rito aren't more likely to receive Anemo, Zora Hydro, etc- but do they get visions at all?

If Celestia = Golden Goddesses, then those three are the one bestowing visions, rather than, say, FD giving out the Pyro visions (this is an example I've not decided on anything regarding gods and elements). I've not played any of the games where the Golden Goddesses are more prominent, but by botw, there's simply not much sign of them outside the Great Plateau, a primarily Hylian occupied place (presumably).

Of course, I could be wrong (I likely am), but Hylia seems to be the only truly worshipped god, especially in places such as Zora's Domain and Rito Village.

Presuming in other games that the other races do worship the Golden Goddesses alongside/instead of Hylia, and thus do receive visions, would they be scarcer in botw overall? Is worship of the GGs something you must do to receive a vision?

ACTUALLY Hyrule isn't from Hyrule at all. What about other countries, such as Holodrum, Labrynna, and Hytopia, or other worlds, like Lorule and the Twili Realm?

Back to Genshin- Khaenri'ah is a godless nation, presumably (excluding Kaeya) they don't have visions. Enkanomiya was also separated from the gods and Celestia (except for the hypothetical Istaroth), and there's no sign of visions there either- of course, Celestia seems to occupied solely by dicks, considering the, yknow, genocide and three celestial nails-, and the GGs seem like absent but caring gods, so for simplicity's sake, yeah, they don't give a shit about it. (Sorry for Genshin lore dumping on an lu post lol)

So, as now established, the GGs don't give a shit and other races receive visions, places on the same geographical map (Labrynna/Holodrum/Hytopia (I think Hytopia is, anyway)) should receive visions regardless who they worship as well, although considering the oracles Din, Nayru, and the unfortunately excluded Farore, Holodrum and Labrynna seem on board with the GGs. Hytopia, I, uh, have no clue

BUT- what about Lorule and the Twili?

I'm not super sure about what the hell is up with Lorule (I did just do a brief scan of its page though), so what I'm about to say is probably riddled with inaccuracies and/or obviously stated things

They have their own (now destroyed) Triforce, their own Sacred Realm, and I've even heard the name Lolia tossed around, which I'm assuming is not, actually, a real person

With this evidence, I now present to you:

Lorule isn't a mirror of Hyrule but rather a completely parallel dimension with a similar but altered history and geography

(Also- is any of this relevant anymore? Fuck no! But I'm having a lot of fun!)

Working off this- they have their own GGs, who in turn have their own system of visions. The same 7 element system and the associated reactions, but different traits. Pretty simple, reall-

Would Legend's vision work there?

His vision, filled with elemental power bestowed by his GGs, could it work in a land completely separated from them?

OVER TO THE TWILI- they are a separate, but still attached to Hyrule, place, but what does this mean for the GGs and their influence?

(Also- I had an idea for the Abyss and Twili magic- please do not ask about this unless you want more useless information)

The Twili show no signs of worshipping the GGs or Hylia (or even other gods, such as FD and Majora); in fact, it seems like the sols are actually sort of their religion (if I'm remembering correctly).

The Twili would, hypothetically, take the place of Enkanomiya here- separate from the gods, no influence from them whatsoever.

(Well, actually, Enkanomiya is like, super fucking old, predating the archon war and presumed appearance of visions, and separated from the rest of Teyvat willingly (?) when Celestia came into power, and the Twili were banished, but that's not relevant (also don't take my word on any Genshin lore my memory is shit), and also Istaroth (?) a god (??) was present there (???), so. Yeah.)

For simplicity's sake, yeah! Twili can have visions! However, as evidenced by this entire fucking post, I don't like simple things! Time to fuck around and find out!

Presuming the Triforce is connected to the GGs power, yes, they still have influence in the Twili Realm, because Ganondorf was able to give Zant some of his power that he received from his piece, so, yes! They have visions!

Ok, though, but what after Midna shatters the mirror?

Presuming her statement of seeing Link later was not just to make him feel better, or a simple farewell, then yes. There is another way to the Twili Realm, and thus they still have visions.

But if it was the only way... no. They do not have visions after she shattered my heart- I mean, the mirror.

But, these are the Golden Goddesses we're talking about! Creators of everything under the sun, and the sun too! They can still reach it, I'm sure!

So yeah. They have visions. Always have, always will.

I think that covers everything- for now, at least. Who knows what will set me off next time

You....you wish to know about my OCs??? Are you sure you wanna open that can of worms??? ;-; Oh man uhhh I rarely talk about them so I'm not sure how well I'll do at explaining them but I will do my best!

So, the basic premise of my original story is that I made it because I don't believe it's possible that a world of magic could exist without regular people noticing it, so I wanted to kind of explore what an urban fantasy world would be like if the magical world was mixed with the human world. There's obviously a lot of tension that goes with that, because there comes a point when humans suddenly go, "oh shit, these people could wipe us out 'cause they have MAGIC. We gotta do something about that!"

To solve this problem, humans attempt to rule over magical creatures, which obviously doesn't go over very well. There's a lot of fights and constant tension between the two groups, and the biggest conflict between them is when the actual story takes place.

Another thing I wanted to do with this was write it from the POV of someone who, in any other story, would've been a side character. Someone who has no relation to the antagonist other than the antagonist did something horrible to them in the past. I also didn't want to make my main character likable at first, leaving lots of room for character development so that they could be in the end. This story has A LOT of characters, but here's a few if you're interested in meeting them!

Main: Ian Hart

Age: 22

Pronouns: He/Him

Backstory: Ian is the last known survivor from the Guardian massacres, in which all the families that had acted as 'guardians' to keep peace between humans and magical creatures were mysteriously wiped out. He lost his entire family and had to be put in this world's version of witness protection. He was given a new name and sent to a new family(since this happened when he was a child), but the Magical Regulations Office(MRO) that the previous Guardians had worked for still trained him to one day be one as they worked as quickly as they could to remake the group. Ian is convinced his family was killed by magical creatures that had been pissed about the Guardians working with the MRO. Because of this, he has a huge bias about magical creatures since he himself is human, and willingly does whatever the MRO wants him to do.

Main 2: Marilyn Jackson

Age: 23

Pronouns: she/her

Backstory: Marilyn grew up in a small suburban town with her parents, who adopted Ian Hart when she was 12 years old. Her and Ian grew up together and grew close. Marilyn is studying to become a biomedical engineer at the start of the story, but never finishes her education. She's sympathetic to a fault and has a crude sense of humor that works well with her brother's. Unlike her brother, she wants to help anyone she can, and is willing to go to whatever lengths necessary to do so, even when she doesn't know what she's doing.

Main 3: Steven Champion

Age: 23

Pronouns: he/him

Backstory: Steven is the grandson of a unicorn and son of a demon, making him a 'cross between 2 worlds'. He appears to be human, dyes his hair pink after his mother dyes her's blue. His weapon of choice are blades of any kind, his favorites being twin daggers. Steven is one of those guys that appears to be kindhearted and welcoming to all, but cross him once and you might not live to talk about it. He's extremely protective over the people he's close to, and has a great relationship with his mother and all of his relatives (except his father, who is honestly just a piece of shit).

Main 4: Andrea Eastcott

Age: 23

Pronouns: she/her

Backstory: Andrea is from a very large family, all with magical powers thanks to one of her ancestors being a 'demigod'. Her entire family are lawyers, and she was the 'oddball' that decided to not join the family business. She has huge trust issues and sometimes gets too into her own head, but is also extremely intelligent. She's the one that can create a plan in 5 seconds, has an amazing memory and is great at advocating for herself and others. She and Ian attempted a relationship, but as much as she was too in her own head, he was too in his as well. She needs someone to help bring her out and encourage her to become less of what her family wants her to be, but who she wants to be.

Main 5: Luke Avignone

Age: 22

Pronouns: he/him

Backstory: Luke is a shapeshifter, like everyone in his family. His parents weren't able to raise him, so he was raised by his grandmother from a very young age, who is a fashion designer and taught him how to cook. Luke would love to be a famous chef, is very outgoing and a complete himbo. His goal is to make the people around him happy, but is capable of being serious when the time calls for it. His favorite thing to turn into is a bear - just a giant brown bear, sometimes for no reason. He also has the biggest and most obvious crush on Andrea.

TIME FOR SPAM. i was making a post about this but i'll just put them in your ask box to start with instead-

Storm is the older cousin of wave and jet, who are siblings (don't ask how i haven't figured it out yet), despite their team dynamic having ‘jet’ be in charge, I like to imagine while they were growing up Storm took it upon himself to try and take care of his little siblings by any means necessary even if it meant getting into thievery and being very rash and getting into fights to protect them... i could imagine out of all of them, he’d probably want to give up thieving for good if he was given a good chance of getting income. that’s just me though, wave is smart enough to do it and thinks she can get away with it and jet just likes doing it and doing whatever he wants. They managed to get some income with races but it still doesn’t always cut it and well, they’re good at it most of the time. (I still think out of all of them, Storm would feel a little guilty about it). Storm mostly wants to get enough income so the other two can have a better future, thinking they have a better chance then he does.

I wanna imagine in my canon this is what's going on rn, they all live together.

Jet: is like very 18-20 years old, still doing extreme gear racing for cash and on his way to be a champion, but also i think i had him studying or at least going for scholarships

Wave: mid 20's, trying to start up her own tech business and it's getting there, she's busy a lot but still home

Storm: around late 20's borderline 30s? .. he's having... a rough go of things for many reasons. he still does his best to support the two though by doing all sorts of little jobs, mostly to do with construction or labour because he feels he can't do much else-

Jet :I WANNA BE RICH AND POWERFUL

Storm: i just want my cousins to live a comfortable life ;-;

storm has massive "older brother but not actually an older brother i'm your cousin" energy and its somewhat canon because unlike wave and jet who are very versed in babylonian culture, tradition, and history, storm had no fucking clue but still loves and supports as much as he can.

unlike the other two who have their own desires and dream goals, storm doesn't have much planned for himself because he really only ever cared about wave and jet at the end of the day. like. THEY were his dream "goal" in that sense he just loves his family so much alrlskwldlfof he's so wonderful i love my fluffy bid

the way I explain jet and wave being siblings but not biologically sharing the same parents is that the babylonian sorta, "tribe" that tracks their ancestral generations in a very blood-exclusive way is sorta raised like a prophetical family. BASICALLY, each of the three rogues per generation are already set (mechanic lineage, leader-heir lineage, second-in-command lineage) and they're raised like siblings.

problem: the second-in-command never had kids and then died. his brother does however however,,, a brother who was raised outside of the babylonian culture (anyone who isn't firstborn is a normie basically which is why the rogues are such an exclusive group despite not being inbred)

so, jet and wave are cousins of storm, technically! and also siblings! it works!!!

a lot of the stress you put on storm in my canon is split between him and his dad (who was a single teen dad and literally the only good parent in the sonic canon btw besides vanilla) but otherwise SAME BRAIN SAME BRAIN!!!

oh and wave also did fucked up shit to help them financially her and storm were in on that together but jet has no idea

2. Will you participate in any fandom exchanges or fic challenges, etc?

I was thinking about it recently, actually! I was going through my Whumptober fics and thinking how much I enjoyed that, and how it's kind of great working to a challenge, because I end up writing stuff I otherwise wouldn't, and it just makes me get on with it. So, yeah, probably. :D Unless my fic writing crashes and burns, it could happen. All the good fic challenges seem to be in October, though, which is super unhelpful. But maybe by then I'll have finished all the things currently on my to-do list.

6. Which yet-to-be-started fic is first on your list?

I'll say barely-started rather than yet-to-be-started, because I had to jot down some lines so they didn't disappear, but it's a 'six years later' sequel to the boxing AU I just posted (fight like a title holder, stand like a champion). I wanna write what happens to them down the line, if they met that young. Do they turn up to his dad's funeral with like a couple of kids in tow? Did they break up tragically and are convinced that They Will Never Love Again? Who knows… (me, I know).

11. Would you like to try any new fanfic genres or tropes this year?

Ooh. Yes, but it's hard, because I went full-tilt on trying to tick off a load of tropes from, like, my Stargate days, so a lot of them I've already done. I should check my list, see what I've still not ticked off. As for genres…I guess I mostly stick to a combination of romantic comedy drama and scifi, I don't know what other genres I could do… detective fiction? Noir? I think I tried writing noir once, it was great fun but exhausting. Fuck, what other genres are there? I'm bad at genres, my brain doesn't categorise things that way.

But ough imagine how the League felt after Iris left to watch N vs Hilbert/ran away, cause she disappeared after the biggest battle between Team Plasma vs The Unova League. If they really think about it, Team Plasma was going for the kill, not just to defeat their Pokémon but they were also commanding their Pokémon to attack the Gym Leaders. Unless of course Hilbert saw Iris with N and Ghetsis, then he’d probably tell Alder or someone that he saw Iris working with Ghetsis

There's this deep and primal rage within me when I think abt Ghetsis hurting Iris and N, like, my guy, what in the fuck are you doing cjmdndmd like idk do you know that one comic back then where N was forced to watch someone kill a Purrloin, and there's like a grunt telling Ghetsis that this was wrong, that N was just a child, but Ghetsis insisted that N watches, to know just how fucked up humans can get. Fucking imagine that w Iris too tho ncmxnx like homegirl was forced to watch how some humans mistreat baby Dragon Pokémon, how some would force them to evolve earlier than most so they could get a powerful Dragon, and Iris was more stubborn than N. She didn't want to watch those, didn't wanna hear her friends crying for mercy then given none, but Ghetsis did not like that, and punished her instead.

And all was going well for Ghetsis yknow, he finally had Iris back and instead of being a failure like N, but Kyurem never liked Ghetsis. He doesn't like the way he treats Iris. Doesn't like the way he has that device in his cane to make Kyurem kneel to him instead. He fucking hated Ghetsis w all that he is. And so he told his beloved trainer.

Iris at first didn't believe it, sure her father had some off days but.. but he couldn't be that bad, right..? Then again, she was never fond of the way he shows that he cares, never fond of the punishments, never fond of his love that he apparently has for her and for her brother. When Kyurem told her abt it time and time again, Iris began to believe she really has to do smth. Ofc, Kyurem encouraged her, what kind of pkmn would he be, his trainer had always been there for him, time to return the favour. So he tells Iris that she really is more powerful than Ghetsis, that she could rule Plasma and Unova without his help, he was just a bridge she has to cross and burn the moment she gets to the other side. Ghetsis was just standing in her way, and she has to get rid of him.

God imagine tho right midpoint of their plan, Ghetsis was monologuing again, going on how it's going perfectly, that N finally left and Hilbert was nowhere to be seen. But Iris,, well,, the Shadow Triad was loyal to her yknow, more so than they were to Ghetsis, so they helped her w her lil plan. They broke that device in Ghetsis' cane, but not obvious enough that he'd figure out it's broken. Kyurem was finally free from his control, and Iris finally the one who can command him again. And god just bcmdbd

Imagine right after they attacked Opelucid (imagine that's really the final straw for Iris tho bc she saw Drayden getting hurt, w Kyurem's ice no less, she felt like shit and Kyurem had to tell her it was part of the plan so Ghetsis wouldn't be suspicious, and she knows that, but Kyurem knows how much it hurts his trainer), and Ghetsis was so fucking proud of himself that his own plan was going well. Imagine tho at the frigate, when he went to Kyurem's chamber he sees Iris there, and he's going on how proud he was of her for finding Kyurem, making Plasma even more powerful than before.

But like, imagine if Iris' back was facing him tho, and she just slowly turns around to face him. Her look almost felt empty, devoid of any emotion, and Ghetsis would be lying if he says it didn't freak him out a bit. Then Iris smiled at him, "you're right, father.. it's going well. But.. Kyurem doesn't really.. like you." Just as she said that, Kyurem was released from its own prison, stepping out of it and standing next to Iris, eyes fixated on Ghetsis. "We decided that maybe it would be for the best you'd just.. well.. how do I put this delicately.. I think it would be best if you die."

Ghetsis finally met his fate at the sharp ice of Kyurem's Glaciate impaling him.

And she ignores any warning signs pointed at Diantha because, this is HER kid, the one she took care of. The same teenager who compared herself to a superhero, and wanted to be the worlds hero. She was a good person

Unfortunately for Drasna, she didn’t know that Diantha had a different idea when it came to being a saviour

But god the mental image of Diantha after the battle of Unova is just g r e a t. She’s really expecting her mom to be on her side. That she’s the worlds hero, the worlds queen, just like she always said she was going to be. And now looking at how…terrifying her daughter is, Drasna has to accept the facts that Diantha was always meant to the villain. She was never the hero

Also YES with Diantha being hated when she was a young champion. It gives even more reason as to why she’s so insistent on turning Iris into a proper champion, instead of just, idk, killing her to get her out of the way. Cause she sees herself in Iris and she wants to give Iris the support and upbringing she herself wasn’t given. But she’s so far gone that it’s though unethical ways like manipulation and torture

But one thing I don’t get is if part of Diantha’s plan was to wipe out Unova, or at least the league, how would Iris still be considered a champion? Since she’d have no league to represent she can’t be considered a champion of a league that doesn’t exist no more.

Unless I’m overthink that part and it was just more of a threat to kill them all?

I did have a concept where Diantha actually heard that exchange between the Psychic and Drasna, and when the Psychic left, Drasna saw Diantha hiding just within ears' reach, and Dia's tearing up, going "am I.. am I gonna be a monster..?" She chokes out, she really doesn't wanna be a monster

And Drasna's there wiping away her tears, pulling her close, calming her down, "of course not, my angel. What they said is nonesense, you know how those psychics can get. You will never be a monster."

"really..?"

And Drasna just pulls her closer to her, almost tucking in Dia's lithe form, and she whispers, "yes, my love, you'll be a hero, not a monster." Even tho she's starting to doubt it too

And just bcmxbdn God please Drasna seeing Diantha after that battle in Unova, sees how too far gone she is, the blood dripping clean from her hands and on her face, staining her white clothes, reaching out to her and god ofc she won't deny her daughter, despite it all that's her kid, that's her child, her darling Diantha, and ough just cbndnd Drasna taking her hands, her own trembling when she felt the blood, and Diantha leans in on her, sobbing

She's only trying to help her see her potential, to help her see how strong she was, to help her be a true Champion. As for the wiping out the Unova League, idk I always imagine that as a threat, or rather she'd get rid of the Elite Four and Gym Leaders, Iris' League, and replacing them w other more capable people that would listen to Iris and even kill those who'd go against Iris or say shit abt her, but if they do cross her then she will just wipe out Unova along w Iris in it, what's the point of keeping a hopeless region around full of weak people, right?

But I also have this lil concept that if Diantha really wipes out Unova's entire League, then she might let Iris be Kalos' Champion, if she's gonna have a successor might as well someone who she knows is strong, someone who actually knows what's it like being a Champion. Personality wise, Red isn't the silent protagonist that peeps are used to, no in my hcs he's talkative af and is probs the one who challenges both Blue and Green to battles, when he discovered about Triple Battles during their visit to Unova, he and the other two tried it and he had the most fun

Green is,, well kinda the same really, chill but also arrogant, never let Lance live it down that if he wasn't Gym Leader then he could still take on that Champion title, but he does care abt Red and Blue tho, he's like the sunshine protectors

Blue is like the one in LGPE, she wants to complete the Dex and discover more about other pkmn in different regions, she's the one to drag the boys w her searching for legendary Pokemon and she's try to post it on her socials that she found Lugia while surfing around the caves in Johto. Also kinda arrogant really, but in a more teasing way not in a looks down on others way like Green

Red - Venusaur, Poliwrath, Arcanine, Lapras, Snorlax, Raichu

Green - Charizard, Gyarados, Alakazam, Tyranitar, Machamp, Scizor

Blue - Blastoise, Gengar, Clefable, Ninetales, Kangaskhan, Dragonite

Johto Trainers

Gold, Silver, and Kris are in my hcs, I so wanna add Lyra but I also do not vibe w her so I'm gon do a pokespe and make Kris like Crystal. Anyways, Gold and Kris are childhood friends too, Gold took on the gym challenge and the league and Kris focused more on completing the dex and being the prof's assistant. Gold met Silver first and Kris met him while she was in the Ruins of Alph. All of em are in their early 20s

Gold is kinda the same as his pokespe counterpart, but a bit more calm. He loves helping around the daycare and taking care of eggs that trainers don't want. He does train and evolve them tho, and some did get to his final team to beat the league

Silver is still the same, arrogant lil shit but finally realized how shit he was in the end. Still has that snarky and sarcastic personality tho, but at least now he knows when to bite his tongue hahah. I also wanna add that Silver and Blue are still kinda siblings in my hcs, and they do love each other and Blue does look out for him as best she can

Kris is like Blue but tenfold, once there's news abt outbreaks or new locations pokemon are seen in, she'd be the first one rushing there to catch em and register them in her Pokedex. Altho, she's actually not one for keeping them, rather she'd catch them just to register their data in the dex and release them after, it's the mons who decide to stay w her or not

Personality wise,,,, ah idk, I honestly just see them as like,, the same?? Like Brendan's there happy to help his dad, the prof, in his field work and such.

N, Cheren, and Bianca are the same so hey. Hilbert is like his manga self, while Hilda is kinda just overall pissed at Plasma, mainly Ghetsis, that she was the one who fought him in the end. After the whole Plasma ordeal tho, she did finish the gym challenge as she didn't have the last two badges, and Hilbert waited for her, so the two could try and beat the league together

Now for BW2, just the same it, Hugh still being the embodiment of rage™, and Nate's there trying to help him stop Plasma while also beating the Gyms. In my hcs, Nate actually has no plan on taking on the league, rather he just loves to travel around and help however he can, sometimes he'd join in Rosa in the Battle Subway to try and get to the Subway Masters. As of Rosa, well, she's a determined trainer, but I wanna say like Nate she has no plans on trying to be Champion, rather she just took on the Gym challenge and liked being in the Battle Subway battling other trainers. But yeah they're like just a bit younger than the BW kids around a year or two younger w Hugh still being older than Nate and Rosa

God there's like a ton of rivals here omfs but like,,,, I'm just gon say that the rivals all have the same personalities as in the games, and then Calem is this calm and cool boii that went on to challenge the gym and the league but lost to Diantha, and then Serena's there also challenging the gyms but stopped after getting the final badge as she and Shauna ended up participating in contests together. So hey I wanna say they're around the same age as the BW trainers

Calem is the same as Dawn, quiet but competitive, he also did try to complete the Pokedex, but he gave up halfway through bc he said it's not worth it as theres already a ton of pkmn to register and find

Serena is also a bit competitive in both battling and in contests, look she just wants to win, and she will win, plus she's like,, trying to impress Shauna during contests ouo

Ough, almost done omf, anyways Hau's the same, and as for Elio and Selene,, I wanna say that Elio already lives in Alola and Selene is the one from Kanto. The three became friends along w Gladion and Lillie, and yeah just the stuff that happened in the games. I wanna say they're around,,, 13-15

Ik they kinda made it canon in PokeMas that Elio and Selene still has those blank stares and such and I think it'd be comical if they still have that in my hcs hahah. But y'know more on Elio actually spacing out most of the time bc he has an active imagination, and Selene just not caring much but also trying to show people she kinda does care so they won't get offended. Selene is a bit more competitive than Elio, as he's just happy being w friends

Hop is the same, Gloria and Victor are siblings tho, w Victor being the older one and got his starter first before Hop and Gloria. Victor is around 18 while Hop and Gloria are around 15

Victor did take on the Gym challenge, but didn't take on the tournament himself, and instead just travelled around Galar, training in the Isle of Armour and got himself a Kubfu which he then evolved to an Urshifu

Gloria is just as determined and competitive as Hop, and actually felt a bit guilty when she beat Hop during the tournament, as she knows that his brother is the Champion, so people probably expected more from him too, but that's just the way it is. She is capable of beating Leon, but ended up losing bc she still wants to hang out w Hop and not be stuck like Leon being alone in his own tower and such

Idk much abt these trainers actually but I do love their dynamic so I'm keeping that hahah, just gon give Florian an actual personality, but I also want him to be like that Jack of all trades kinda guy where he does know a lot of things and it surprises everyone else that he kinda knows a lot. I wanna say that Penny and Florian are around 14 at most while Arven and Nemona are around 15-16

But yeah Florian, the kinda guy that knows a lot but also pretends he doesn't bc he doesn't want people to bother him that much. Not to say he's a mean spirited kid, more like he just doesn't want people to rely on him so much so he stays quiet whenever he can. Basically just embodies Burr's line in Hamilton being "talk less, smile more"
