It's been years, but I don't think I'll ever quite get over the guy on the Obsidian forums decrying the death of gaming because Pillars of Eternity Deadfire included an entirely optional Hide Helmets toggle.

my best friend is about to finish her first bg3 playthrough and is currently around 70 hours in. I’m also on my first playthrough and just released the nightsong in act 2. I’m at 146 hours. coding an inventory system with equippable items has me feeling like im an actual rocket scientist when in actual fact i just finally figured out why equipping function didn't work after scrolling down (i used the wrong variable in one single spot bc i wasnt paying attention)

not to work rant but I really hate when work gives you the shittiest play in terms of a schedule and expects you to perform well and then gets surprised when you make mistakes or have things you couldn't get done

#ugh some food wasnt put in the freezer and im fairly certain i didnt submit our inventory count which is kind of big #which im pissed about because they gave me 2 people only past 4pm #2!! AND we had someone new training so i couldnt close down specific equipment when i usually do because it was being used #AND i had an inventory count due AND we all had 30 minute required breaks so thats an hour and a half of only 2 employees #AND THEN the guys who deliver our frozen food came at 730 #which is before we close which means i had to put their shit away instead of them #and then i get texts this morning like hmmmm this wasnt done this wasnt done be better about this next time #stfu #westy's shit #ranting

ok one things that's really cumbersome in this game is inventory and party management

#the fact that i cant quickly change my party or even change equipment *in camp*#without having to dismiss and take in everyone individually via dialogue every. single. time.#and i kinda get why they gave everyone individual inventories and it's kinda cool? but also makes the inventory a lot messier #feels like the game encouraging you to focus on a set party which. fair i guess. but i like switching around my party! :(#lay rambles #bg3
