At the makerspace, there's a big pile of stuff they're getting rid of over the course of a few weeks: abandoned projects, partially working printers, materials scraps. It includes a 3d printer, a slick little delta FDM type, that doesn't work largely because it was meant as a consumer, IoT-type device with most of the smarts in the cloud, and the company that made it went under and took the servers with it.
