Just a quick thought: Yandere!Sunday who is a galactic pop superstar.

He sees you at one of his concerts during a slower song when he looks up from the piano keys, floating in a sea of faces. Instantly you stand out to him. There's something chimerical in this moment, he thinks.

When he finishes up the set, quickly moving backstage to prepare for the next set, he makes a decision: he has to know more.

You get invited backstage after the concert, truly a dream. He sits on a plush light grey sofa, calmly smiling at you as he does to all his fans, but his golden eyes glitter and swirl with unreadable emotions. You've intrigued him.

Every moment that passes after this meeting seems to topple over like dominoes placed by a steady and swift hand. Invites to secret sessions turn into tickets offered over social media. Slowly, Sunday pulls you into his world, makes you his greatest muse. When the songs on his latest album are picked apart, atom by atom, the analysts surmise that there must be someone. And when Sunday responds to these allegations at a concert with a sly smile and a glint in his eyes, his fanbase erupts, demanding to know more.

But they will know nothing, Sunday thinks as he walks backstage, taking off his mic and his opulent outfit. He returns to his hotel room that evening to see you, safe and sound, your breathtaking eyes still painted in strange shades and hues from when he sung songs meant just for you.

He asks you if you would like to go to Penacony with him to watch him sing in the Charmony Festival, and you reply with bright eyes and a smile on your face.

One day very soon, Sunday will sing a song that will send the entire universe into an eternal dream. But in this moment, your beautiful, foolish mind completely ensnared by his siren-like voice, he feels like he is dreaming.

This doesn't even feel like fanservice though. Like, I'm not a stranger to shows at are explcitly queer. I've watched my share of BL. I know what fanservice feels like and looks like.

This is ...something else. This is like...GENUINE on a level that goes beyond fanservice. Fanservice, by definition is cynical. It's done to appease a market, to keep an audience engaged, so they will keep watching to make everyone involved money.

I feel like what we're getting from S2 of OFMD is...not motivated in that way. Like of course they want to succeed and get to keep making TV and probably want to make themselves money.

But, I feel like this is about actually playing out character stories in genuine ways. It's not unearned, it's not extraneous, but it IS kind. I think after the end of S1 and the beginning of S2 we forgot how kind ofmd can be as a show to its characters.

But letting Ed get to feel like he CAN earn his way back into a happy family is kind. Letting Stede and Ed be together, talking things out is kind, letting them set their own boundaries and terms is kind. It's not doing everything for max drama, which is how dramatic TV and romance tends to go these days.

So it feels like a gift to fans in a way that is rare, but it's not a cynical one. I think fanservice is a very incorrect word for what this show is doing. It's doing what it WANTS to do, knowing it has a fanbase that will support it whether that's torturing its characters or painting romantic scenes under moonlight. And it gets to be both, and I love it so very much.

Res AU Joronia drawings. Character rambling and bonus doodles under cut.

This AU takes place a good while after the events of Triple Deluxe happened. Since then, Taranza's mostly recovered mentally from everything. He was able to move on from his grief and (somewhat) forgive himself. Now that Joronia's in his life again, seemingly back to her former self, some of those wounds he'd thought were fully healed have started to ache again. He still feels ultimately guilty for what happened to her.

He's thrilled that Joronia's been given a second chance at life, but is somewhat wary deep down. This feels to good to be true, that she's just back with seemingly no strings attached. The other shoe could drop any day now, and he could lose her all over again. Fearing this, he wants to make the most out of what could be a short time to be together again with his friend.

Joronia senses that there's a distance between the two of them now that wasn't there before. It shouldn't be surprising; he's probably still hurt from what she did. Other people definitely are. She's determined, though, to work hard to make it up to everyone she's hurt, and to prove to them (and herself) that she's not really like that, that she's capable of being better.

The Mirror's influence twisted her mind and her perception of reality. It made her feel like she was inadequate, and that everyone else were enemies to be subjugated. Now, she's supposed to be normal and better, but she still feels like there's something wrong with her head. She still doesn't feel good enough, and it still feels like everyone hates her. It's hard to trust herself. She's not sure if it's some lingering effect of the Mirror, or if there's just something inherently wrong with her now. She's scared.

She's afraid that something will happen, that she'll revert to how she was as Queen, and that she'll hurt Taranza again. Someone who'd always helped her, who'd stuck with her even when she was absolutely horrible to him, and who's kindness she's relying on again now, staying at his home as she worked on getting her life back together. She's a burden on him, and she always has been. She hates it.

Still, her deepest, most selfish wish is that they could be real friends again.

These two need to have a long, honest discussion about their feelings toward each other and themselves. Both of them are absolutely terrified about that prospect, though, because they each think that the other secretly resents them to some degree. If they actually talked through it, they'd quickly realize that they both want the same thing.

LRB but I'm replaying BG3 and Gale being on the knife's edge of Wholesome/"Dirty" is what makes him soo interesting to me. Like this is a man who, in two different versions of the same scene, can either sweetly and gently make love to your tav in a typical setting which transitions to a tasteful fade-to-black, or brings your tav's spirit along for a transcendent experience where he literally duplicates part of himself so he can have more parts to touch their parts in some crazy astral-soup sky world. And both are treated like valid expressions of his love!! Like the range they allowed him to express, he's not one or the other, he's both

we need more preening content in the trigun fandom. vash got all those feathers and yet i haven't seen that much fanart or fanfic of what if he needed help preening them. the intimacy of something like that, especially combined with how vashs wings are something which he views as terrifying and monstrous, and yet needing someone to gently and carefully comb thru those feathers for potentially hours to clean them just. aughh it drives me insane

sudden quest idea for totk rewritten (botw2 edition)

kashiwa (kass? sorry english, i will always think of cheese when i hear this name) travels hyrule again, but this time with his kids who are older now (or even with his whole family) each of them having a different instrument

they offer a quest or riddle again but this time with new songs- or alternatively, you can find each of them on their own in certain spots where they set up camp, as in they travel on their own to find inspiritation for songs, like carpenters that per tradition have to travel a while to be granted their certification (idk if thats a thing in america, it is here, though i have seen very few these days, back when i was in school we often took one in if we had space in car since they have to hitchhike as far as i know)

you help each one write their own song which either leads to a minidungeon or otherwise a reward (maybe some per research, so you gotta go around looking for clues to help them) and makes them travel back to whereever kashiwa is (perhaps he could be in a new settlement, like idk if i like the place where the spypost is in totk its seems to be a terrible place for .. a spypost- like id conisder the forgotten plateau for its central spot, its elevation and history, but i like the idea of putting the end fight there too much and putting it both there doesn work) and unlocks a bigger thing, like a bonus dungeon or at least some bigger mystery thing (idk yet, just had this idea)

idea is that you bring him back, since hes a fan favorite, but change it up in a natural way, so his kids are older now and take his role from botw, but not quite since hes was researching the song of his teacher, his children are trying to write thier own songs, as in ... looking into the future not just the past in a way, it keeps him there but doesnt make it a full repeat of botw and also doesnt just ... delete him- also you got a music thing again that isnt that weird new group which, while not ... bad, were kinda weird and i hated how they locked the fairies and the quests to get there (like i feel like to make a botw2 work you need less new characters that dont get any development or personality anyway and more letting existing characters progress?)

forgive me if this exact posts exists somewhere already I feel like it certainly could. but the thing about dtamhd is that the fantasy of removing the heart is not actually “violent.” he removes a man’s heart but does it with no great force; the man does not die or even react; there is a stillness and peace and even gentleness to that scene. I just do not believe Dennis engages with this fantasy on the level of “violence.”

by the same token Dennis does not see remaking & strictly controlling & criticizing the self as “violent” — he sees these things through a clinical lens, with a sense of cold necessity, and even with that gentleness — it’s what needs to be done, and it’s a kindness to do it. he additionally does not truly have a “beauty is pain/suffering” mindset because he perceives the control, restriction, & criticality, again, not as violence — but in this case a more neutral type of “effort.” he believes successfully performing this “effort” begets the “reward” of beauty/perfection.

in conclusion I ultimately do not believe dtamhd serves as definite evidence that Dennis relishes in the fantasy of or materially desires violence, because in his mind it is not “violence” the way we perceive it.

mostly talking about torbek bc babygirl you get the rest its torbin time

I personally like to think that the reason Torbek talks in the 3rd person is because he has the Other, (or Gorebek??? i think the fandom has dubbed him), in his head and to differentiate between his and the others thoughts yk. Bc when he first appeared he didnt talk in the 3rd person every time, he used I and me more (which was just andy messing up bc its hard as hell) BUTTT i just think itd be neat that before the witchlight mutation the voice wasnt as prominent in his head.

(ref sheet wip needs refining and such) i hc that the witchlight mutation made him taller. In canon torbek is 7'4 but i think hes like 8ft tall (with the hunchback) afterwards and probably even taller if he didnt have scoliosis. (hes like me fr</3)

I also like to think after he joined the party frost started to slowly mend his clothes so he looks a little less fucked up. In my head he also has better hygiene now but that would never be canon :(

also quite obsessed with karl being as detached from the story as he is. there's nothing that makes him have to be the detective that has to be involved, but he unknowingly dooms himself by agreeing to work with the KYAL cult. every other detective basically deals with elias head on except weissman, who only meets him right before he kills him. like he's right when he says "by my choices" because everything that leads him to being mixed up with the mannix cult is himself. it's the gambling debts and the choice to do the dirty work for an organisation he knows nothing about. he's the only one that doesn't encounter that body doing police work and it's specifically because he's told to cover it up. he gets himself into the mess and eventually fixes it but the fact that esther always dies in the doomed timelines and he's always too late even if he starts wanting to change things ("till this child. esther.") it just makes me very ill

so actually the original concept for this was isekai where vox ends up getting booted into hell via a universal mishap but i think its funnier like this: where vox dies and since he did technically die for his friends, he ends up ascending to heaven but is greeted by a different angel instead of the seraphims who asks if he'd like a second chance instead

vox says yes thinking he'll just get sent down again and be back w the vees- this does not happen. instead he ends up back at the very first day he fell into hell with a "system" - one that tells him its a "gift" from heaven, no less, thats supposed to guide him through his time in hell to like . minmax his gains + his losses (emotional and material) if that makes sense . so the system walks him through his time in hell but suddenly there seems to be a problem . turns out an unanticipated side effect of the system is that vox has a similar presence to an archangel (the one who Gave him the damn thing) so a lot of people end up assuming hes some kinda fallen angel which makes it like 100% harder for him to go thru life^3

alastor in PARCTICULAR takes a very odd interest in him, wondering and asking if he has wings or if they were "burnt in your fall" meanwhile vox isnt quite sure whether he wants to take the chance to get close to al this time or just leave since deep down he knows itll end badly for him either way. the system makes the choice for him and starts to steer him away from al who in turn becomes even more intrigued by the fallen angel, who for whatever reason he swears feels familiar

Thinking about when loveybug inevitably starts crashing, I imagine she just couldnt turn into loveybug anymore. Imagine it happens right before a time she promised to meet cat walker for their date debriefing and she's trying desperately to get it back but she just can't reach into that part of herself anymore. But she doesnt want catwalker to think loveybug abandoned him!!!

Or alternatively could have a more loveybug-ladybug reveal where something happens that embarrasses her and she just changes back to ladybug right there.
