i think that works even better if you think that mike and henry worked together on ffps, and it really shows how much mike is just tired. Also with the amount of planning it must've took to get all the scraps and prepare for the end

So, this first part is going to be my own personal opinion based off of who I am as a person, and my views may not be shared within the fandom. I personally struggle with super abrasive dom/sub dynamics where a male character is very overbearing, controlling, etc. THAT DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T LIKE ANY DOM/SUB DYNAMICS, just that fics where a male character is being super aggressive and demeaning and such really aren't my vibe, if that makes sense?

I personally struggle imagining our sweet, sad boy Remus as being super mean in bed? Doesn't mean I don't think he's in charge, especially in poly!scenarios because when there's that many people in bed, someone has to run the show lol, but I don't see him as super bossy and assertive.

Now, keeping in mind that this is my interpretation on a character who literally doesn't exist (which is so sad wtf), my version of 'dom!remus' looks more like a very assured, confident guy in bed; he knows what he's doing, he's good at it, and he knows how to get everyone where they're trying to go (i.e., orgasm city, obviously). He takes care of everyone in bed, and (in the case of poly!marauders or poly!wolfstar) he certainly redirects anyone's naughty (bratty) behaviour (read: sirius), but I think he'd also be super communicative and understanding that it's a dance, not a battle which adds to his assuredness and confidence in bed because people feel safe with him - they know that he knows what he's doing and can let go because they trust him with their safety and their pleasure - and he's in bed with his partner's, not his adversaries.

I've often imagined his love language (how he shows love) to be acts of service and physical touch, which I think goes hand in hand with how he is in bed; when he's in a relationship with these ships, he's making love, not just fucking

HOWEVER.....

I think you're right...some things definitely change around the full moon. I think leading up to the moon (depending on if it was a manic moon or if he was moonsick) there'd be a very noticeable change in him. For manic moons - he'd be a little more desperate, a little rougher (while still being our sweet guy as mentioned above lol), and I think there would be way more sex. This is a fan-Album based on the Podcast The Adventure Zone Balance. Everyone should listen to Balance. It's a funny DND podcast. It is earnest, and stupid and funny and it has made me cry and if you don't have 69 hours to throw to this podcast (with the first 6 episodes being a bit rough as it's their first time playing) I HIGHLY recommend listening to their Current Arc: Vs Dracula. They all know what they're doing and they're doing it hilariously

Worried About Ray by The Hoosiers gives Pogtopia!Tommy vibes, with the way he wanted to protect L’Manberg and protect Wilbur - “the truth be told, the truth be told, I’m worried about the future holds, the future holds. I’m so tired of being worried about Ray.”

A lot of AURORA songs give me Tommy vibes but especially It Happened Quiet which reminds me of his third death. She uses a lot of nature related metaphors in her songs which I think fit his character - “Eyes blue and hollow as it rains against their will”

Good Grief by Bastille is such a c!tommy song about grief and how he processes people dying/leaving. I can’t emphasise this enough - “You might have to excuse me, I’ve lost control of all of my senses. You might have to excuse me, I’ve lost control of all of my words.”

Ramblings of a Lunatic by Bears In Trees, specifically for the election era but probably fits most of his L’Manberg arc - “Cause all my friends are dying, some faster than the others. I’m trying to distract myself from the fears that I’ve discovered.”

Youth by Daughter reminds me of the legacy that Wilbur left behind once he died on Nov 16th after blowing up L’Manberg. It’s such a sympathetic song, too - “Collecting pictures from the flood that wrecked this home, it was a flood that wrecked this home, and you caused it”

Saint Bernard by Lincoln fits Revivedbur so so much, but specifically in Hitting On 16, his relationships with Quackity, Tommy, and how he felt about the way people treated Dream (read: how he felt they treated him) at this time - “I said ‘make me love myself so that I might love you’, don’t make me a liar, cause I swear to god, when I said it I thought it was true.”

So many Lucy Spraggan songs?? It’s so hard to pick just one but I’m gonna go with Roots for reflecting on the early days of the L’Manberg era - “I bought a big house in the country, I live there now, does nothing for me. Bought a fast car, white and sporty, when I look back I was pretty poorly.”

Tongues and Teeth by The Crane Wives as a puffychu song during Niki’s rocket duo arc? Pain. Pain and suffering - “Abandon all your stupid dreams about the girl I could’ve been, my dear. Cuz in the night I know you burn with feelings I cannot return, my dear. Oh, my dear.”

The Calling by The Amazing Devil is such a Doomsday Niki song about her looking back on her life and who she used to be - “I look into the water and see a face I don’t understand. We’re both unwanted daughters, but there’s more than water in these autumn hands.”

Moonsickness by Penelope Scott is literally Manberg Niki and how she was trying so hard to fight for her home but it was futile - “And in your blood you know what’s right, and in your bones you know what’s wrong, and in your throat you know that you’re lying to kids and you know nobody belongs in this hell”

I’ve been saying since 2021 that The Horror and The Wild by The Amazing Devil is literally Phil and Wilbur talking in the button room, with Phil being the part of Madeline Hyland and Wilbur being Joey Batey - “Think of all the horrors that I promised you I’d bring, I promise you, they’ll sing of every time you pass your fingers through my hair and call me child - witness me, old man, I am the wild.”

August poem !!!!!!!!!!!! I literally wrote this in ten minutes and read it over a grand total of one (1) time so I'm sure it's ehhh but I don't care. I kind of see it as a companion piece to this poem from back in June.

The second week of August & you're thinking about red plums and blue hour, how summer fills your mouth but slips from your lips so quickly. You cannot hold summer in your hands. It's a breeze and leaves your fingers tangling into each other searching for something just out of reach. & how the flesh of a peach tastes like a Caravaggio painting, like the air in an art museum. You found yourself under an awning in heavy sharp rain at midnight and said nothing to the girl whose eyes are sometimes brown and sometimes green. How you shift, sometimes plum red, sometimes cobalt blue & she's plum red and cobalt blue and you surrender yourself to limitless devotion like the sea to the moon, hungry and reaching upwards. You say nothing under awnings and nothing under blue skies. The second week of August & it will end soon & you're thinking about life and the act of creation and how you're terrified of being seen with your skin off, your insides on the floor, but you dream of vivisection of fingers on your throat of hearts and safety pins. It will end soon and it was not the summer you dreamed of with bitter frost on your cheeks but it is a summer. Strawberries like god's tongue and peaches like god's flesh and crosses upside down and sweet girlhood and The Ronettes' Be My Baby and toska, toska, toska. Heartsickness soulsickness moonsickness flesh on the outside heart on the outside. & How it's all wanting. Wanting, wanting, wanting. How without Amsterdam and blue hour and blasphemy and kisses and train love stories and scars on your chest you are only a body in a small room, weeping. How you weep with everything & it's a good thing. How you won't fall apart yet, the blood holds still. You are made of want and first love. Take the flesh of a plum between your teeth.

AITA for not teling anyone that the moon is covered in L.E.Ds?

Okay, so, it's not really L.E.D lighting, but it's a natural equivalent.

I, 17F, am the Chosen One, picked by Our Good Lady the Sun (age is implausible to apply, F) to continue on Her duties after She is passed. However, I also understand that I am not to tell anyone about this, and at my School I try my hardest to appear normal. I'm a part of a Folk band with some of my classmates and we're rivalling a Pop-Punk band in our school's upcoming Battle of the Bands festival.

We haven't had much time to prepare recently because Our Good Lady passed away. She had been humming to us for the last Thirteen years or so, and a month ago was the time She decided that She couldn't give us Her light any longer. Me, my band, and our rivalling band have decided to stick together because the lack of sunlight means our solar-powered electrics won't work, and very little power is sourced elsewhere as our country gets lots of sunlight year round. We can't go home.

In retrospect, maybe I should have mentioned something? Either way, my girlfriend (also 17F) (she's the bass guitarist for our rivalling band) died recently due to contracting moonsick-ness (as Our Good Lady is no longer around to filter out the harmful, damaging light coming from the moon's L.E.Ds).

Her brother, 18M and lead vocalist of our rivalling band, was really distressed about it. He started throttling one of my bandmates and demanding to know what was going on. I didn't want him to hurt anyone so I told him plain and simple that she was moonsick.

Since then, he's been irrevocably angry at me. I don't think that's fair. I'm mourning her, too, and I wasn't meant to tell anyone. However, one of my friends says that maybe if I had told him, then we would have stayed inside in shelter more frequently and she may not have died.

I fear I may be the Moon's next target. I just want to know if I did the right thing. Is it all my fault?
