I really try to keep the long-game in mind when I’m writing stories, including the hypothetical seasons I’m working on, and while I have a solid end game is for Omi, Jermaine, Kimiko, and a partial end game for Raimundo I am struggling to decide on where Clay and Jack ultimately end up…

And by ‘end game’ I mean post-dragon. Because I do imagine they all get to that rank by the time they are in their 20s, but they aren’t there forever.

i need people to understand that Yes, there IS a difference between games that you like and the quality of a game. You can like good games, but you can also like bad games

BUT the number of games the internet tends to put in this “games that are bad” category is too much in my opinion.

What I am I talking about? I just have been thinking about how sometimes i’ll say “I think this is a good game” and people are lile “haha yeah I can see why you like it, but liking it doesnt mean its a good game, theres a difference.” I fucking KNOW that theres a difference, and I need you to understand: when I say a game is good i mean it and understand that difference.

There are soooo many games that are overhated and put into the “bad games” category just because of one or two perceived flaws. People like to be angry and reactionary, it drives clicks. so if a youtuber or article creates a title like “ X Game is the WORST” people tend to click on it and boost that opinion. But I think that you can have a good game with flaws, and that people dont even know how to tell a good game anymore. People shit on so many games that really arent THAT bad, and in turn they’re baffled whenever someone thinks its a geniunely good game, not just a bad game they enjoyed

This is just my opinion: But you can have a good game that has glitches, or not so great writing, or messy gameplay. its about the OVERALL quality. If the writing and characters and setting and graphics are good enough, it can save a game with “bad gameplay” in my opinion from being bad. (dont fucking get me started on people thinking a game has bad graphics just because its not hyper realistic or as many polygons as they want or its not rendered how they want or whatever). However I acknowledge that other people have different things they value in a game, so if they think the gameplay is bad they think it ruins the whole game. which is fine, you can have any opinions you want, but please dont assume that everyone thinks that way. Its all subjective, and if someone else thinks a game is good or bad and you disagree you shouldnt call them crazy.

Sometimes a good game has one bad element to it, but that doesn’t make it a garbage game.

(this post is inspired by my thoughts about sonic and fnaf and pokemon, series with games people say are bad but i disagree with and people think im fucking crazy or conflating my enjoyment of them with the quality lol.)
