I was told by a friend that Fishman Island was one of the worst arcs in One Piece, and now I have really really high expectations for the new world cause um. This is a really strong first half and the Fisher Tiger and Otohime flashback was so good and such an amazing moment for Nami?? Y'all are sleeping on this arc.

Thinking up a new sorta Worldbuilding-game thing, curious what my most dear mutuals think of it. In short, I'd challenge you folks to come up with *just the title* of an article, 'paper', or other text written within your setting, be it from the perspective a named character or some rando, which covers a major subject or topic that the people and societies of your Setting hold dear or view as important. So I watched De Palma's Femme Fatale (2002) tonight, and there's this one scene. In short, the MC (blonde woman called Laure Ash/Lily Watts) gets thrown off a bridge into a river while unconscious, and this shot occurs;

Like, does that or does that not look like the TPWBYT cover?? The hands are in the same position, the bubbles hide the face, and the legs in an earlier shot, and the MC is drowning. That place will become her tomb, in story context, if she doesn't swim up. Of course, the colour grading is very different, but my point still stands!

i understand people not liking their scars (also this is written by someone with no major scars) and that's 100% fair but at the same time one could also think "rejoice for your scars mean that you lived."

The thickened skin upon your knees could signify that you had a childhood where you romped around like a kid should, or survived a situation that tore them up as such

The scars on your arms could mean a lot of things, but it means that you made it past some struggles and lived.

The scars upon your flesh, fused and sealed, means that you lived.

the scars upon yoo joonghyuk's face and arms show that he didn't give up on this life, this regression. Does that make any sense

Im not above 'haha downpour sitcom' type jokes where the slugcats have personalities and talk to each other cause i think its cute but im very sympathetic to people who are upset thats what a lot of larger characterization of the slugcats are...

They aren't meant to be warrior cats or really like, Bambi-styled animals. Theyre more primal. And I get that animals that act as animals is sort-of a boring thing to work with unless you make a very particular flavor of fancontent but I do feel & miss the reduction in that more meditative, 'inhuman' type characterization

Right before hitting send, I realized I didn't specify which outfit for which brother. And yknow what... that's fine. :D

Sorry for the wait, I also couldn't decide which outfit to give which brother so uhh... You get all of them.

Alright, on a more serious note, the Fellswap Gold was pretty easy to figure out, I really don't see Coffee wearing E2! XDD And he looks good with a hoodie on. Meanwhile, deciding which outfit to give to the Swapfell brothers really was a struggle. I can see them wearing both, but with different settings. In the first one, Black is your typical edgelord while Slim is this awkward and shy but very eager puppydog who likes to wear comfy clothes. But in the other one, you can imagine it's Black's day off so he allows himself to wear something casual, while Slim like to look tough and like a bad boy to warn off potential danger (AKA people who will try to flirt with Black).

Anyway, they took time (and I went back to work last week as well so less time to finish these) but I'm really happy with all 3! I had fun (except that moment when I realized I forgot to draw the choker around Slim's neck so I had to copypaste it from the other illustration XD)
