it's always "jotun are intersex and can get pregnant" and never "asgardians are intersex and can get pregnant" as if the asgardians aren't supposed to be peak performance. if they're so peak performance they should be outfitted compatible to have kids with as many other similar species i think.

Not me getting social anxiety / panic about how I'm going to interact and handle my feels when Loki season 2 drops bc what is tumblr anymore, even.

Um, anyway, reblog this post if you're in the Loki fandom, plan on watching season 2, and are down to discuss / possibly deep dive into the material, in a way that is non-toxic to one's overall fandom experience.

To be completely upfront/transparent: Non-toxic doesn't necessarily mean positive. I'm sure I will have my own criticisms I'll want to talk about, and I have no problem with - nay, I enjoy, even - discussing both what I loved as well as what I wish had been ripped from the script draft, tossed into a wastebasket in the writers' room, and then set on fire.

In other words, all opinions are welcome, as are (civil) disagreements, but I'm not here for either anti-level hate or toxic "this is the best and if you don't agree you're an anti" positivity. I like my meta in the middle, very gray, and perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

trying to imagine what sylvie's apartment would look like and there is a part of me that thinks about how the last time we saw her enjoy her freedom as a child, she was playing with that dragon- and now that she is somewhere safe and stable there MIGHT be a chance she would purchase some little toys.

it's about doing what you couldn't growing up and reclaiming that autonomy that was lost. it's about holding that childhood she never got to have close and saying that yeah, a little friendly guy WOULD look nice in this room i earned, not only with my survival, but also just for being alive- people should get to do and enjoy things that make them feel loved!!

she would definitely think it hurts her deadly image at first but in reality no one cares and they all just let the woman buy a damn shark plush at the aquarium.

Would you suggest watching Loki season 2 if you didn’t enjoy the season 1? I wasn’t really interested in watching it because I didn’t really enjoy season 1, but you seem to really really like it so maybe season 2 is just better and I should give it a chance? Sorry if this q isn’t your vibe to answer

I would! I think season 2 is better than season 1 in every possible way except for Mobius and Loki’s developing relationship which I think is excellent in both seasons. I especially liked how they handed Slyvie and her dynamic with Loki. I was surprised with the direction it took (i.e. not romantic)

That being said I still did enjoy season 1 a lot so I suppose it depends on what you actually disliked about the season? If you didn’t enjoy the overarching plot, Sylvie/Loki, and the resolution of the stakes then yes, season 2 is better. If you didn’t enjoy the overall aesthetic and time shenanigans then probably not, since it’s still the same show. I loved the ending of the show more than anything and if you enjoy beautiful tragedies I think it’s worth it for that personally.
