but LITERALLY??, they're so silly together it's unreal. Ratio just absolutely getting driven up the wall because how can that man bring the veritas ratio to his knees??? He's no dumb person; he's aware of what welt does to him, how he gets sick to his stomach (in a decidedly good way) whenever he sees him, but oh god- he does it so well? And how can he not know??

Ratio's convinced Welt does this on purpose, just to spite him fr. Welt takes notice, usually, but keeps up a façade for the sake of the Astral Crew, (and also because he likes to see how Ratio just gets a bit more.. withered at the fact he's being a little oblivious to his actions). He loves sometimes giving Ratio a quick visit, sometimes takes up a debate with him, just for fun,.

Welt would sometimes indulge the professor, though, letting him win their little game of debates, it's something he finds endearing about how Ratio lights up whenever he wins one. He'd love to smother the man in kisses, and he's sure the other would want to do the same.

Of course, neither of them would leave eachother alone for that long, I mean, one of them has to confess, right? One thing leads to another, and suddenly Ratio's able to burst open Welt's room door on the Express, pull him in by the collar, and aggressively kiss him. Of course, Ratio's frustration is always temporary, when his boyfriend's right there to help him de-stress.

I think their dynamic is so knowledge husbands (new ship name for them? /j), they know they're able to rely on eachother, whenever they want, and wherever they are. I also think ratio's able to willingly go onto the express whenever he pleases, not just because he has a visitor's pass, but also because I think he literally could just draw open a portal using a piece of chalk. And walk in. Lol.

I don't know who needs to read this, but people who are pro Buck and Tommy having a healthy relationship with good representation on screen, whether it goes the distance or not, are not automatically against Eddie having a coming out arc.

I would argue that 7x05 had too many storylines and felt rushed. I'd honestly rather have fewer stories an Episode and each is given proper time (so they don't skip over shit like Buck and Eddie talking post basket ball, or Chim and Buck talking post punch, or Bobby and Athena talking post ship disaster etc). They actually showed the Karen and Hen talks after the Eva storylines and that's so important and good.

Tommy isn't getting screen time without a main with him so stop pretending he is. He's a background character who is currently there to prop up other people's storylines. It's unlikely he will ever be a main as they already have 7 of them. Can you think if you've ever seen a Karen or a Ravi or a Lucy or a Taylor storyline that wasn't there to really be about one of the mains? No.

I am literally seeing BuckTommy enjoyers having to fucking preface their posts with the fact they obviously ship buddie too just so they don't get abused. It's genuinely disgusting that people are more fixated on their specific (and I would defo class it as fetishistic at this point with the obsession some people have with buddie) ship that they would actively damage other people's enjoyment of the show.

This accusation that people don't care bout buddie anymore because Tommy has kissed Buck and Tommy is white is fucking insane. This fandom regularly accuses anyone who says good things about Buck or Bobby of being racist. Maybe, and hear me out, people are happy that they are getting some bi representation? People who have been pro buddie since 2x01 are getting sent hate because they are happy that a character has come out, despite never turning against buddie.

It's literally normal to be watching a show and be like "yes, I want characters X & Y to end up together but currently they aren't and that's not an issue for me". It's a fictional show.

I want Eddie to get a coming out story line and I would not be upset if it didn't revolve around Buck because 1. Eddie is his own person, and 2. I KNOW that if it did revolve around Buck, you guys would immidiately say it's worthless because it's not an Eddie story but actually a story about the "white boy". Like you literally cannot have it both ways.

You can't beg for coming out story lines and then say "wait that's the wrong person they're kissing." It's a coming out story line. It's literally a gateway to a whole new world of stories in the show.

You don't have time to revel in the nice weather as you run through the park. You had woken up late, had no time to shower or apply any makeup, and you were getting texts from your boss asking when you were coming in.

Right before it can hit you though, a figure obscures your vision, a long leg flies up and kicks the ball away.

Once your life is no longer in mortal danger, the figure turns around, exposing a young woman with long brown hair, and pretty brown eyes.

You froze as she peered down at you, she was only a little taller, but its enough if a height difference that you have to tilt your head up to look into her honey brown eyes. She looked so cool! She wore a long black sleeve jacket over a red tube piece and black pants that accentuate her long and elegant legs.

For a moment you don't hear anything, somehow infatuated with this incredible woman and examining her entire face, until you get to her lips. They were moving, had she been talking the entire time!?

Quickly honing back in you asked.

"Uh, huh?"

You got chewed out by your manager, in front of your other coworkers and some customers. It was embarrassing to say the least. It didn't help that you were on shuffling duty, you worked at a decent store that sold plenty of stylish clothing, shoes and accessories, and alot of customers don't know how to put things back where they found them. So there you were, busy busting your ass, picking up hefty boxes of shoes and carrying them to their proper places.

It wasn't easy, you weren't weak by any means, but you're one person! Carrying a pile of boxes that obscure your vision! Not to mention there was an influx of customers, meaning your coworkers who were helping them, kept piling more boxes on top of you!

It got to the point your entire field of view was impeded by the boxes you had to carry, yeah you knew your way around the store, but you were about to either drop everything or bump into someone!

AND YOU WERE STILL HUNG UP ABOUT THAT GIRL!

You deeply regretted not getting her name, let alone her number! She really was very gorgeous. Dark brown hair that shone almost bronze in the sunlight, long and straight that framed her face so elegantly. Long, dark eyelashes that surrounded her beautiful brown eyes, and her iris' were like caramel mixed with chocolate. It looked like she wore a little bit of eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss but that was it. No heavy make up that changed the shaped of her face, meaning she was so beautiful all on her own.

You couldn't help but let out a small sigh in remembrance of her gaze, firm yet so gentle. You couldn't stop wondering about her, how sweet her voice was, how quick she was, and her strong legs.

You were so lost in thought you didn't see the box on the floor in front of you, not like you could see it through the boxes you were still carrying. Your foot gets caught on the box, causing you to trip and fall forward. You let out a yelp as you feel your body closing in on the ground, when suddenly you get the weirdest sense of deja vu.

A hand suddenly shoots out and wraps around your middle, keeping you from falling, whilst another arm quickly grabs the boxes you were carrying all on one hand. You hadn't even realized you closed your eyes until you hesitantly open them, peering up at your savior.

"We really ought to stop meeting like this." A familiar voice chuckled.

Soon you were face to face with the hottie from this morning. The only difference was that her hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, and piercings lacing her ears.

"R-really? You would do that?" Your eyes were definitely sparkling at her, you were almost melting from how awesome she is.

She just chuckles and nods.

"Of course, anything for a cute girl like yourself." She said with a wink.

God's if you weren't swooning so much you'd start squealing like a fangirl meeting their favorite celebrity. Actually, this girl was quickly becoming your favorite celebrity!

You accept her offer of help, taking half of the boxes and leaving her the rest. You actually took less than her but only because she wouldn't let you carry anymore.

"I'm perfectly fine carrying this much."

And it was certainly true! I mean she already carried all of the boxes in one hand before handing some off to you. You lead her to a section just before the back, placing the boxes in your hands down and going to take the ones from hers.

"H-here, let me!" You shakingly reach for them, your hand brushing against hers as you take them. You blush as you feel her long fingers slip out from yours and carry the boxes to a counter.

"Thank you so much!" You began sorting the boxes. At least moving them off of eachother.

"It's alright! You don't need to thank me."

"But I want to!" You quickly turned around, your hand hitting the corner of the table realy hard and with a loud thwack!

"Ow!" You quickly hold your hand to your chest.

"Are you alright?" She asked worried. You smile and nod, looking down at your hand which was already bruising.

You frowned at the ugly blemish, groaning that today was just not your day.

Without noticing, the girl quickly came up to you and gently took your hand in hers.

You were about to inquire what she was doing when suddenly, she bent a little and lifted your hand up to her lips and gave the bruise a small tender kiss.

You felt your face explode in blush when you felt her lips against the back of your hand.

She looked back up at you with a smile and a playful gleam in her eyes.

"There, feel better?" Her voice was low and much more quiet, it almost felt erotic despite the fact she was kissing your booboo like a mother would a child.

You barely manage to stammer out an answer when she chuckles and stands up straight, lifting her own hand she playfully ruffles your hair a little.

"Hey, I gotta get back to my group, take care!" She turns around and begins walking away from you.

Quickly snapping out of your haze you you stumble after her.

"W-wait! Can I at least get your name??"

She stops, turning around and smiling at you with creased eyes.

"Of course! Call me MC!" And with that, she leaves. Again.

MC...? Even her name is cool... although it's not very helpful. But, at least you got to put a name to a face.

In reference to this post; I was gonna reply in the comments but once again, it got too long, and I figured I might as well make a brief post about this because shit's interesting but the OG post was getting so long I didn't want to extend it any further. So. New post.

But I'm also going to make this a lowkey follow-up to this post, where I briefly talked about whether or not Crocodile is worthy of a redemption. Because I did have multiple people reply to it, mentioning they don't think Crocodile needs a redemption, which isn't wrong. Villian redemptions come down to personal preference (some people like them more than others generally speaking), and the specific circumstances of a character and the story they go through. (Personally, I am a fucking sucker for a good redemption story, and One Piece? Has how many redeemed villians? Kuma, Hatchan and Bon-chan? Perona too? Buggy and Mr 3 if we're generous??? I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, but the ratio is quite low is my point) The reason I want to bring that up again, is that depending on what Crocodile's trauma really boils down to (**since we don't know for sure what it is**), it could go against the very core messages of One Piece if he just dies without that trauma being resolved. And at the same time, if his trauma is what I think it is, then he can not heal from it without being redeemed. And the opposite is true as well, if his trauma isn't what I think it is, then he doesn't need to heal from it, and he doesn't need to be redeemed. I do have a whole separate post slow cooking in my drafts right now so I don't want to go too deep into that subject here and now. But the point is. If we want Crocodile to open up and be vunerable and heal from his shit, it means he's either getting a redemption arc or redemption in death. The latter is way fucking sadder, but again, a whole separate post.

BTW quick apology but I figured since there's a bunch of shit in this post that I've written about separately before, I might as well link to those posts for like context, so people can get where I'm coming from with my nonsense while keeping this post brief-ish

BUT ONTO THE ACTUAL SUBJECT As I have kind of mentioned before, I do think Crocodile probably has multiple layers of trauma going for him

We know losing to Whitebeard Did Things to his psyche for certain

I think it's very plausible he might've been betrayed by his former crew if he ever had one

I think it's likely Dragon didn't take too well to him transitioning

And between that and Crocodile already having tried to kill Luffy multiple times, he probably believes his son would never accept him as his other dad, especially since he already hates him.

(And I do think it's likely he might have some additional early childhood trauma based on how Oda writes these things normally but whatever that could be is an absolute mystery)

And if I'm right and those are (some of) the different layers of his trauma, then for Crocodile to open up and heal from it you'd need to do it step-by-step, layer by layer

I think Luffy accepting Crocodile would be the most important thing, above all else. Because if Crocodile loving and caring about his son is the only shred of humanity left in him, if Luffy is the only thing Crocodile cares about anymore while believing no one else will ever do so for him, then having that feeling returned is the key to getting Crocodile to just start to heal. If his son can't accept and forgive him then what would it matter what anyone else thinks? In my mind, Luffy is The Sledgehammer that can break Crocodile's walls.

But that's the first layer, the first step to getting Crocodile to become vunerable

If he does have that betrayal-based trauma, then I think finding people who would actually follow him and be loyal to him would help him heal on that front. And... This probably sounds strange, but I think Mihawk is the best candidate for it. Not just because he could be to Croc what Zoro is to Luffy (in many ways), and not just because of the Romancing SaGa 2 comparisons, but because Crocodile does already seem to respect Mihawk on some level. Like he specifically invited Mihawk to start Cross Guild with. IDK if they have like shared history before or if it's just because they're Fellow Former Warlords or simply because he knows Mihawk is strong and in a vunerable position (after losing his Shichibukai Rights) or what, but despite Crocodile saying he doesn't trust people, he seems to trust Mihawk enough to invite him. And he seems to respect Mihawk's opinions on things, like he might view themselves as equals. So if Mihawk, The Greatest Swordsman In The World of all people, genuinely expressed faith and loyalty to Crocodile... Yeah, I think that would do a lot for Croc. Especially if Mihawk found out about Crocodile's baggage and chose to follow him despite/because of it.

But if we want Crocodile to Heal ALL THE WAY. He and Dragon need to have a talk.

Which will not be easy, considdering like.

Look at that fucking expression on the panel on the right. Dragon is more than likely beyond furious with Crocodile over what he did in Alabasta. And for good reason. And frankly, I can't tell if they can ever come back from that.

(Sidenote, but this page these panels are from (from Chapter 1058) follows immidiately after the page where Buggy introduces Crocodile and Mihawk to Cross Guild, Dragon's placement on the bottom right of this page matching perfectly where Crocodile was placed in the previous page. So considdering what Dragon says and the expression he makes... Man, if there ever was a way for Oda to tell us what Dragon thinks of Crocodile without explicitly having him say it, yeah, this would be it)

And I'm sure that even if Crocodile got over whatever heartbreak might've happened between him and Dragon and just moved on... The fact that Dragon never called Crocodile and warned him about their son being a pirate, with a bounty, who might be on his way to the Grand Line, where he could stumble his way to Alabasta, where Crocodile was famous for his Pirate Crushing Heroics mind you... Yeah. Crocodile would have a perfectly understandable reason to be furious at Dragon too. He almost killed their son without knowing because Dragon never warned him, never told their son's name to him, never told his OWN full name to Crocodile.

So needless to say.

They have a lot of differences to overcome. Things they've done that they'd both need to look past, forgive and forget. Somehow. And I'd be lying if I didn't admit I'd find it damn near impossible to happen.

But can you imagine, if despite everything, Dragon still loved him? And was sorry about whatever the fuck happened 19 years ago? And didn't want to lose him again?

I think that would be the thing that would help Crocodile heal all the way in the end.

If Luffy is the first step, then Dragon is the last.

anyway new scenario i am cherishing as a treat for me is that the same night juno was using his coping skills to not drink away his feelings, nureyev got scooped at the spaceport and then subsequently dropped off at the lighthouse by ruby, and in the process of name reveal/family reunion/etc he lets buddy and vespa get him drunk (in what is probably the first time he's been actually intoxicated in lo these twenty odd years)

crucial elements: vespa is now capable of getting drunk, and buddy remains not capable of getting drunk, i don't think nureyev has worked his way up to the mortifying ordeal of both of them being sober while he is drunk and it's already mortifying enough that buddy's gonna interrogate him about his feelings which he is now working on acknowledging that he has. vespa is a.) in a secure and relaxed enough frame of mind to tolerate being drunk around nureyev, largely bc b.) buddy is sober and has the upper hand if they're actually wrong about him even now, c.) 'i don't wanna deal with your shit sober anyway'. and furthermore both of them are only going to be able to tolerate being impaired at all knowing that at least one person in the room has Got This because they are both thinking about ambushes at all times

(it takes him the entire rest of the next day to get to hyperion city and feeling presentable enough to go see juno bc his ass is NOT used to having a hangover)
