i Don't actually want langdon and santos to become besties or whatever next season. i want them both to feel kind of guilty about how everything went down but also sort of resentful and full of spite and i want them to keep on cordially disliking each other. like. not in a way that impedes care but definitely in a way that raises eyebrows. a real icy cordiality. I want them to totally understand each other's position and then be like. 'i get it but fuck you.' and then i want them to have a really awkward moment (maybe santos loses a patient or whatever and langdon's just 'standing man emoji' that sucks dude) that literally changes nothing about their relationship.

*hits blunt* Joker has a long-standing one-sided beef with Nightingale in the Blood Blossom au because Nightingale clocked his shit almost immediately and began "sharks are smooth"ing at him. But because Nightingale only comes out in case of emergencies, Joker has to come up with increasingly convoluted schemes to trap the Batman in order to lure him out.

This has the opposite desired effect because this is the equivalent of using increasingly difficult locks to keep the raccoons out of your trash. All you're doing is teaching the raccoons how to pick locks. This also pisses off the other Rogues because Joker keeps making trapping the Batman exponentially harder all because he's beefing with his teenage son.

As someone who grew up in a more rural town where it was hard to relate with my peers and the only place I found some sense of belonging was either online or trips to the capital city, it absolutely annoys me whenever people look at Sebastian's story arc about him wanting to move to Zuzu city to escape his home life but then later becoming happy with settling down once you romance him because you gave him that escape as him "giving up his dreams of going to the city" like no??

He realizes that he idealized Zuzu city because he didn't feel wanted in his home and he felt like the only people who could probably understand him would live there and not in his town. Connecting with the farmer and finding somewhere where he belongs is what he really wanted and even concludes that the city might actually be too overwhelming for him.

As an adult now, I could relate to this too as I've realized that the capital city is far too overwhelming for me and just finding a good network of friends and having more open discussions with my family made me realize that I didn't hate this rural town, I hated how I felt alone in it.

His idealization of Zuzu city because he just wanted to find a place where he belongs isn't even subtext, he directly tells you this after you get married. I don't get how people would've come to that conclusion unless they didn't actually romance him and are just extrapolating from his friendship cut scenes.

Listen as a fellow Exhausting Man lover I feel like you should all understand that Tommy absolutely sometimes gets so annoyed with Buck he wants to pull his own hair out at the roots.

I feel like you should also know that that feeling is usually followed by a wave of adoration so strong it knocks you off your feet, because in a world where there are so many options, that little freak chose YOU as the one he wants to tell ALL his stupid annoying irrelevant shit to. He brings the whimsy, he brings the "I'm sorry WHAT" eyebrows, he makes fun of you for not being able to wink but he's bad at it too.

And the thing is, when there's Too Much Whimsy going on and you make note of it, it's not the end of the world. Sometimes the whimsy needs to be turned down a few dials.

(Sometimes the whimsy still doesn't get turned down and that's why the Exhausting Man chose an introvert - specifically because they're cool saying "I would like to sit in a quiet room by myself and disassociate for a while" to the Abundance of Whimsy, and they'll probably still get an extra dose on their way out but you're only gonna see them argue about it once in a blue moon.)

I know I just got done with ranting about tfp/rid2015 starscream’s character but, if you couldn’t tell by my other rid2015 posts, I’m obsessed with rid2015 bumblebee and when I tell you I love this scene of bumblebee making fun of starscream I’m not exaggerating it’s so cathartic to me

“But bumblebee is a good/hero character, why is he being so mean—” did you forget how much starscream hurt bumblebee in tfp?

He killed cliffjumper who, while probably not as close to bee as he was to arcee, was still close friends with bee

He stole the omega keys from the autobots’ base and handed them over to megatron, practically dooming Cybertron at the time to be remade in megatron’s image — of course the autobots get them back last minute, but that doesn’t change how much that loss effected all of them (evidence: optimus shouting in anger for the first and to my memory only time in the series) — including bumblebee

And his greatest offense towards bumblebee in my opinion—

DESTROYING BUMBLEBEE’S T-COG

It’s also incredibly fucked once you think about it more because the t-cog is literally a cybertronian organ — while silas is at least mostly detached from how screwed this is since it’s more like taking parts from a robot than surgery to humans, starscream shouldn’t be since he’s also a cybertronian

Instead of being freaked out and recognizing how messed up silas’ actions are like any rational bot would, he helps silas make his fake-bot-that’s-using-another-bot’s-stolen-organ work by providing him with energon (the [at the time] incredibly scarce resource that helps all bots survive) and — after that plan falls through because of bumblebee finding them — he destroys the bot’s organ for no reason other than he wanted to escape and thought that was a good way to distract him

I just—I’m sorry?? I feel like bumblebee is incredibly justified for clowning on this cringefailure of a bot for what he’s done to him

And this isn’t even mentioning what he’s done against the autobots as a whole (both on and off screen) that has probably hurt bumblebee by proxy

I feel like it’d be justified if bee also killed starscream — he already got to kill the bot that destroyed his voice box, I think bee deserves another murder as a treat <3
