I imagine Shanks whould have trouble fighting in Mihawk's body at first since it's been years since he's had two arms

yes absolutely, i imagine that too! conversely, i think mihawk would have a little bit of trouble adjusting his balance and reach with a body missing one arm, as well. it's interesting to think about how they both would be forced to change their fighting style, and whether or not they would exchange swords.

mihawk's been seen using yoru with just one hand so he could probably pull it off with shanks's body. also interesting to think about shanks tripping up on having two arms until he naturally slips into his old fighting style again--or would he? because there's also the question of muscle memory, right? would mihawk's body automatically do things that shanks isn't predisposed to doing, and vice versa?

the other thing i find intriguing about body swapping in one piece is the question of whether or not your haki powers would switch as well. they say haki is spiritual presence, so presumably your haki switches if your spirits switch, but if it's the kind of spirit that's tethered to the presence of the body? then consider mihawk having the strongest conqueror's haki out on the blues, or shanks being able to use observation haki at mihawk's level, practically being able to predict the future--or mihawk, able to counter with shanks's haki-kill technique. food for thought!

This. This is the main reason why i wanted Webs to meet F!Webs. B/c i wanted F!Webs to see his past self, with all his limbs, and think "this kid barely has two years before he looses them" only to find out it's never going to happen b/c of time shenanigans. Because besides Raph's death, that incident was the most traumatic thing he went through. Knowing this kid will never have to go through it, was a relief.

Anyways! that is all. More shenanigans next week. I think i have maybe two or three more parts to this stop, and then on to the next!

My high school did a yearly poetry recitation contest (Poetry Out Loud), so Oh Boy do I know some poems. My favorites are Ozymandias and "the world is about to end and my grandparents are in love," by Kara Jackson. Also in 8th grade we had a Poe unit and had a class contest to make the best music video of the Raven, so I still know a good chunk of that.

i hadn't heard of the kara jackson one! just read through it and enjoyed it, particularly these lines > 'grandma returns to her love like a hymn, marks it with a color. // when the world ends will it suck the earth of all its love? /will i go taking somebody’s hand, / my skin becoming their skin?'

crazy idea but what if products for trans people actually worked

#vent #not looking for advice!#every time I try to use trans tape I look up tips on how to prevent blisters #because the last time I actually applied it the tape started tearing my skin open while it was still on -- not while I was removing it!!#every guide online is like “make sure you don't have wrinkles” and “don't stretch it too far” and “don't raise your arms”#but how the fuck do you do all that at once with only two hands #I don't even have that big of a chest #I guess this product just doesn't work for people whose chests aren't proportioned correctly #so it's either sports bra & dysphoria 40 hours a week or binding at my job that already fucks with my back #this is all AFTER I got earth shattering family news last night. anyway
