But if they were, a few hcs I have are:

James is Punjabi and a typical one so anytime anyone stereotypes him he can't protest because it's almost always true but he speaks up for other desis getting stereotyped or if someone gets particularly mean

Sirius is the 'can't stick to a career' rich boy whose favourite directors are Imtiaz Ali and Karan Johar (yes both) and sirius' favourite movies are "Rockstar" and "Tamasha". He is definitely one of the people who is in the 'you won't understand Tamasha' club

Remus is from Lucknow and while he is not of the religion he fucks people up who disrespect Islam in any way. His favourite director is Satyajit Ray and his favourite place to visit in Delhi was the Faqirchand bookstore but hates it now because it became 'trendy'

Peter is from Indore, he definitely has the Indori accent and uses jeeravan (a common Indori spice) to spice up everything. He goes to 'Litchawk' and 'Jatra' every time they take place.

Lily is a South Delhi girl through and through and a regular visitor of the Faqirchand bookstore. She is a big fan of the poems of Rahimdas and Tulsidas and her favourite movie is Hema Malini's "Meera"

Marlene is a mumbaikar and has a love-hate relationship with Mumbai but in her mind she knows she'll never leave. I definitely think she has slept on the Marine Drive just to fuck with the police

Mary is a Malayalee and very very proud of her culture and follows it to the book. She gets up at 3 in the morning, prays, makes rangoli in front of her house, applies tailum to her hair and all the works. She knows Hindi but refuses to speak it and will deck you if you come to her house and ask for 'idli/dosa/sambhar'

The Crow and the Ember

[[ This post is about an IC Book that would exist in game. The book itself would be close to 10-15 years old, so it and a number of it’s sequels would be relatively easy to find. They’d be especially available in any Library in Dalaran, or those closely associated with such, but even markets further afield have started to carry copies of Bran’s Novels. ]]

A reign uninterrupted for nigh on four decades. A life shattered by betrayal and loss, A journey that could cost him everything, or give him a life that he couldn't possibly fathom

When Carson Leafdancer was discovered by the Tree-Fishers of the Briarwood forest, the Forest Elf leader of the Hunters took the lost baby from his basket and took him under his wing. Now, Sixteen years later, the babe is a man that towers over his adopted parents and friends. The human lad, considered slow and ungainly, with terrible eyes, had somehow managed to net himself a potential mate. If it wasn't for Carson's superior intellect, gift with mechanics, and his superior physical strength, the young man wouldn't even have managed that much. The lad had spent most of his life, shuttling from master to master, far more skilled at working with his hand then a spear or Fishing Lance.

Until now.

There are rumors strange creatures in the forest. Beings shaped like men, with pallid skin, that move without walking, and seem to fade away under direct sunlight. Whispers in back room mention Fishers being taken, held prisoner and dragged from the Briarwood, Others say that the Forest-Elves, are being murdered, their eyes and tongues stolen by those who would use them for evil in a world transformed by magic and the cruelty of men. Leafdancer finds himself drawn into the conflict when his intended mate, Ayalia Stoneleaf vanishes the night before their betrothal ceremony.  He is helped only by his best friend Olum Oakbranch, who is the only person in the village that believes she was taken instead of fleeing to find a better mate in another group.

From ancient Primal Forests, past Shattered keeps and fortresses, through the Untouched Jungles of Paramon  to the far sun-parched reaches of The Desolation of Itar, Carson and Olum must track down the lost Fishers through the myths of the lost ages, a race against the First of the Blackened Zodiac, a group of Human's Knights, the head of an world spawning empire powered by the fire of evil.

The book itself is a mid length Fantasy novel set in a fictional Fantasy world of Bran's creation called Lasea. The world itself suffers under the rule of Twelve Knights that have divided up the world amongst themselves. Some Knight hold massive tracts of Land, and several hold only small islands or cities of great wealth. The story details the Elven raised Carson emerging from the Ancestral Forests of his Adopted family with his best friend at his side.

It focuses on his interactions with his own people compared to the much cleaner and more advanced Elves. Among the elves, Carson was considered slow, unintelligent and Dull Eyed, but among his own kind, whilst on the small side, His skill with the Elven Longbow, and his skill with tracking are seen as almost god like. The young man chases rumor and legend along the coast of the Azure sea, chasing a Knight, and his captives, one of which Carson hopes to be his intended.

Travelling from Redwood style Forests, to ancient over grown magical woods, through highlands, a massive untouched jungle and a seemingly endless desert that at one point swallowed an ancient elven civilization, the story sees Carson catch up to the First of the Black Knights, a Blaggart and Glutton that calls himself Korvoen, having taken the name of a Constellation for himself, as the other twelve had.

Using his Bow, dagger, and an artifact looted from a dead Elven City in the desert to negate the worst of Korvoen's Black magic, Carson slays the man, who tells him with his dying breath that the other eleven knights won't let Carson's indignity stand, no rumor of their mortality can survive. Carson shrugs the man off until he frees the slaves and discovers that his beloved isn't among them. Carson hears from one of the women among the group that she had never been with them, and had in fact left him to seek greener pastures elsewhere in the Starwood.

Confronted with this, Carson decides to not put his family in any more danger or disgrace, and he tells Olum and the Elves that he'd saved that they should go home, and tell the village that he died in saving them. The book ends with Carson watching them disappear over the Horizon into the glare of the sun before turning his own feet to the south and the legends of human ports and kingdoms that might accept an odd man like him.

He loves too much. Not just his significant other but even his friends. He is constantly after them and making plans and wanting to hang out. He is a people pleaser and lives for his friends' validation. He's always doing things for them and giving heartful confessions. He feels horrible when anyone cancels on him, even if they have a valid reason, he feels it's because they would rather hang out with someone who wasn't him. He starts overthinking when anytime they have dry responses for him. He always recognises when they are going through anything but for one second his mind tells him that they just don't like him. And then he feels horrible for being selfish. Hates being left out but handles it well, even if his mind goes out of drive. But he is very understanding and never shows that it bothers him because he doesn't wanna be annoying and his friends are allowed to have a life. His mind can be too much. He can be too much. For his friends. He loves too hard and even though they are all gems, they disappoint him sometimes (but he quickly recovers). He hates being alone. If it wasn't for the overbearing presence(in a good way) of Sirius in his life, he would've spiraled. He notices Peter's similar insecurities and is always reaching out for him and making an effort to keep their childhood friendship alive.

Whenever James or Peter feel this way they reach out to the other and they find comfort in being vulnerable about it and feeling that there is someone who understands what they feel.
