i think one of my favourite things about psych is the perfect balance between shawn and gus being (realistically) charming and attractive young men with reasonable dating success despite their eccentricities and, also, objectively, the biggest, nerdiest losers in all of santa barbara

Weekly Tag Wednesday
thanks for tagging me @lingy910y and @energievie, i hope youre both having lovely wednesdays
let’s start with the standard
name: gigi <3
age: 24
location: im doing this at work for once so im on the isle of manhattan
and now, a set of totally random ones
what’s one of your go-to karaoke songs? singing by yourself in the car or in the shower totally counts. anything ABBA, i love karaoke and ABBA is fun because …its ABBA honestly that should be enough. i go for lay all your love on me, super trooper, money, waterloo or if im really really drunk - winner takes it all
if you had the power to control one of the four elements, which one would it be and why? probably water bc i love being in/around water, i start to get weird and pissy when im landlocked for too long, but im also a v typical grounded earth sign so maybe that instead
think of one of your defining personality traits - which animal embodies it? i’ve been told a cat, but honestly one of those super intense working/hunting breed dogs, i have to exercise myself or ill start getting anxious and tearing up the couch
are there any fan theories that have stuck with you? think of the infamous “scooby and the gang are all actually high.” I mean i think the idea that the scooby gang were dodging the draft is a good one, or that agent dale cooper was DB cooper, which is just pretty funny
name a movie you watched or a book you read as a kid that you were totally not supposed to watch/read or watch at that age. probably a lot, my parents didnt really believe in censoring anything (to a point obviously) i watched tarantino movies pretty young, and all of the cohen brothers movies bc my mom loved them
name a food or drink that you totally hated as a kid and now you really like. honestly most things lol i was a super pickey eater but my household was somewhat crunchy so that meant i ate mostly meat and fruit - now I eat almost anything
how about ones you still hate: i never could do broccoli, its just a texture thing, brocolini is fine bc the little buds are bigger if that makes sense
what’s your least favorite chore: laundry, I live on the top floor of a building without an elevator and the laundry machines are in the basement so its just a pain in the ass
do you have one that you actually enjoy? i honestly hate all housework, its just a waste of time and i know ill have to do it all over again next week - i love cooking but i don’t see it as a chore so idk if it counts
and to close off, share a lyric or two that really resonates with you.
Oh, to see without my eyes The first time that you kissed me Boundless by the time I cried I built your walls around me - Mystery of love (Sufjan Stevens)
I bet on losing dogs I know they're losing and I'll pay for my place By the ring Where I'll be looking in their eyes when they're down I'll be there on their side I'm losing by their side - i bet on loosing dogs (Mitski)
The memory hurts But does me no harm Your hand in my pocket To keep us both warm The poor thing in the road Its eye still glistening The cold wet of your nose The Earth from a distance
See how it shines - Abstract Psychopomp (Hozier )

What's princess tutu??
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OH BOY YOUVE OPENED THE FLOOD GATES NOW LET ME TELL U ABT MY FAVORITE SHOW, PRINCESS TUTU (take 2 bc i lost my old writing abt this.)
I think it’s a bit funny this is one of my OTHER obsessions other than Ultrakill considering how different they are, but eh. I can’t guarantee this will be everyone’s cup of tea.
Tumblr media
Princess Tutu is an anime released in 2002 (it had its 20 year anniversary recently :D) and is somewhat well-known (but also kinda not..) among fans of mahou shoujo. It has only two seasons and is one of my favorite animes ever. It also has a manga series that was released I think alongside it however its story is different from the anime and I hear it isn’t as good as the anime. While it is not action-packed or full of bright colors it tells a story that resonates with me so deeply and made me rethink what makes a good story. It has a very soft and delicate look to it, and while it can get very fucking dark it can be very sweet and cute. It also inspired my love of ballet and returned a love of classical music to me that I had lost, and is what inspired my Ultradanse AU in MANY fucking ways. My partner Valentine is the one who showed it to me and it changed me fundamentally, and I showed it to Dex and it ruined his life (positively). So now I hope by dumping about this, it interests you in watching it!
VERY LONG WRITING UNDER THE CUT. I AM SO SORRY.
The story follows the heroine Duck, and three other characters named Fakir, Rue and Mytho. It takes place in Gold Crown Town, a place where fairytales become reality. However, Gold Crown Town is only like this because it is under the influence of Drosselmeyer, an author of immense power who died before he could finish writing his story The Prince and the Raven and is now using the town and its residents to orchestrate his story to give it a conclusion. The Prince and the Raven from the book escape their story and come into reality, and to seal the Raven away he shatters his heart into shards that scatter themselves across the town. He succeeds, but the Prince is now without emotion or feeling, barely able to think for himself. He now studies dance at Gold Crown Academy, where the other three main characters study as well.
Drosselmeyer has given the main four different character roles, each one meant to end in their demise or a tragic end. They’re meant to play the roles, submit to the fate of the character, and fully believe that they were that character from the beginning even if that wasn’t true. Drosselmeyer may or may not have influenced and altered their histories and memories, and probably altered their feelings as well so it can be brought into question how much is under Drosselmeyer’s influences.
Drosselmeyer wants this story to end in tragedy, to end in sadness, as to him that would be the best ending. The characters within it though are very complex people, and rather than to succumb to their fates, everyone is trying to escape it. Princess Tutu plays a lot with defying destiny.
Duck plays the role of Princess Tutu. While the title of the role she plays is the title of the series, in Drosselmeyer’s story and in his plans, Princess Tutu is a minor character who is only meant to return the Prince’s heart shards to him, confess her love and then immediately die. It’s a cruel fate, as Duck wants nothing more than to do the right thing and help the prince and others by returning his shards to him where they belong so he may feel and think for himself again. Being Princess Tutu is conflicting for her, because it doesn’t just affect her fate and others but if she wasn’t Princess Tutu she would no longer be able to dance so exquisitely as she wants. Not being Princess Tutu means a lot of things for her, it also means she could forfeit her ability to be a girl. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention? Duck is not even a human girl. She was born a duck and ends the story as a duck. She’s not particularly skilled in much and isn’t very special at all. And yet, what makes her so great is her kindness and resilience. You don’t have to be particularly skilled or perfect at anything to change things or be loved, it’s okay to be average or “just a duck.” It’s fine to be flawed, you can still move someone's heart and change your fate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rue plays the role of Princess Kraehe, I don’t think I can really call her an antagonist as she isn’t really one to me. Princess Kraehe is the daughter of the Raven, and she desires the prince and actively works against Princess Tutu to stop him from regaining his heart shards, or just to mess with the process and use it to further her goals. However, Rue makes me SO FUCKING SAD. The Raven leads Rue to believe Mytho is the only one who’d be able to love someone as ugly as her, and only believes she is ugly because she is human in appearance instead of a bird. He gives her this insecurity and desperation that makes her easy to manipulate as he plans to “help” her secure the prince for herself. But she really does love Mytho, and has loved him for all her life. I wish I could go on and on about her, she’s one of my favorite characters ever and she makes me CRY. SHEEE ONLY WANTED TO BE LOVED THATS ALL SHE WANTED AAGGHGHHH
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fakir plays the role of the Prince’s knight, and while I thought he was the antagonist when I first watched the way he develops over the course of the story really makes that idea fade fast. Hell, I even forgot I hated him when I first watched, and now he’s on my top 10 favorite emo boys. He seems like a total dickweed at first and has some.. Kinda vaguely gay scenes with Mytho at the beginning, but he’s far more than that. He admires Mytho and when he was younger, swore he wanted to be Mytho’s knight to protect him, and doesn’t want Mytho to get hurt. Having emotions means he’s susceptible to getting hurt, but there’s more to that. Fakir, playing the role of the knight and believing in his fate, he fears that fate and what is to befall him. Similar to Princess Tutu, he is also destined to die, to be sliced through the chest in battle. He was even born with a birthmark that resembles a scar across his chest. If Mytho has his heart shards returned to him, the story goes into motion, and the closer he gets to his fate. He wants to protect Mytho and keep him safe, but he also doesn’t want to die. While everyone plays a very important role in the story’s finale, he plays a very big one howweeever I don’t wanna spoil what that is or some abilities he has. :]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mytho, my dear sweet boy and his fucked up haircut, is the prince. He doesn’t play a role, he IS the prince from the story. He exists as this heroic figure that is meant to be perfect, and he has a desire to protect and save others. For most of the story though he lacks his emotions and gains them back slowly, but kinda just gets get pushed and dragged around by Rue and Fakir who are both, for different selfish kinds of love and in different ways, keep him from regaining feelings and dictating what he does. Maybe I’m silly for this interpretation, but he is kind of used like a tool or a doll sometimes rather than a person. Regaining his emotions can hurt him in more ways than one and yet he still wants all of his emotions back. He kind of goes from holding no opinions or thoughts of his own at all to forming ones can be conflicting in the moment. He also gets hurt when Kraehe taints a heart shard with raven’s blood which gives him a touch of evil and flaws he did not begin with. I don’t think he gets the same amount of a transformation of character as the other three, but in the end when his emotions are regained he becomes a bit of an imperfect prince.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love the characters, a lot. A totally normal amount. BUT. I gotta say, Princess Tutu has some of the prettiest but also the coolest scenes, and they’re good art inspiration for me. I really gotta go out of my way to clip my favorite things, because some of my favorite things haven’t been clipped and put on Youtube somewhere. Here’s some gifs from the series that I like

Your post abt how male victim sa is treated as a joke in media really resonates w/ me. like i dont watch drama tv shows, i watch like sitcom/comedy stuff and so its extra apparent to me in a way?
Because while in a drama tv show you can have both male and female sa victims, sitcoms will rarely if ever try to make jokes about female sa (or at least now anyway, i dont watch older sitcoms) they absolutely do make male sa jokes.
For example, in Parks and Rec theres this episode where April and Andy make a lot of doctors appointments in one day and in one part Andy is listing out all the doctors they've seen and Andy says like "One guy looked at my weiner, touched it, that was weird" and April says "And that guy wasn't even a doctor" and Andy says "...What" with an uncomfortable look on his face and then it just moves on.
And its supposed to be a funny haha moment but everytime I see that clip I get really uncomfortable bc like its never clarified if she was kidding or not but also why would you joke abt your husband being sa'd???
And thats just one example, theres plenty of others. (The whole thing with Barney and Rhonda French in HIMYM makes me super uncomfortable even tho its played as consensual, it gives me bad vibes)
But it feels like no one ever really cares to talk abt it, so it was nice to see someone bring it up. Sorry for the long ask 😅
The comedy I watch is normally yes about equal to Parks and Rec or Brooklyn 99 and yes, there's a lot of jokes that fly under the radar because they victimize one group or another that isn't seen as "in danger". The amount of prison rape and prostate exam (hinthint wink wink not performed by a doctor though teehee) jokes really stand out the more you pay attention to it. And maybe it IS time to pay attention to it, because clearly this is a symptom of a bigger issue, one that endangers everyone.
Going back to stuff I watch more of because I haven't seen more than a clip or two of HIMYM, but I remember when I was watching Buffy with my ex [then boyfriend] and he pointed out that Xander had a really good reason not to like Faith and it's because Faith rapes him (forced to penetrate) and how Xander really... never seemed to forgive her for it and always seemed uncomfortable around her after. And while I was not part of the fandom during the show's heyday, being that I am a relatively recent watcher only maybe about 6 or 7 years ago, he told me it was very frustrating to him that the fandom seemed to focus more on the wrongdoing of Spike's *attempt* to rape Buffy, than the *actual rape* Faith did to Xander.
Even with my Witcher example, I'm seeing people shipping Yennefer and Jaskier because they had a moderately improved friendship in season two, while not at ALL touching on the fact that Jaskier's first memory of her is a blatant sexual assault and maybe that's why he's increasingly aggressive to her every time they see each other for the remainder of season one and when seeing her again in season two. It's more than "he's somewhat jealous of her closeness with Geralt" when I know for a fact she pinned and grabbed him by the penis and I wouldn't fault anyone for not liking someone who grabbed their genitals without consent. I'm not yucking anyone's yum but it's really frustrating to me to see people skate right by that.
(again, books/games fans who follow/reblog, your faves are not immune, I present to you one Triss Merigold who rapes *Geralt himself* by means of a love potion in the books and who does it *again* in the games if you let her manipulate Geralt into sleeping with her when he has amnesia, do not even start with 'wehweh this is why the show sucks' when your favorite adaption did it too and Triss/Geralt is a possible romance path in the third game, AND Yennefer is mad at Geralt for... letting Triss rape him while they were together, because she considers it cheating, if you talk to her about it in the third game she dumps you in the lake to punish you for defending yourself)
Big sigh.

If you want to talk about the office - maybe you could say why one should go watch it? :)
It's kinda on my to watch but I haven't gotten around to watching it, so I thought you could talk about the cool things about it and maybe that'll give me a push lol
Ooh, this is an interesting and maybe somewhat hard question to answer.
Michael Scott is not an easy character to watch -- and I didn't appreciate Steve Carell, really, until about half way through the show when he became much more likable.
Likewise, I absolutely love the absurdity of Rainn Wilson's Dwight. But that doesn't happen until third-ish season. But Dwight is just kind of an insane character - and I love that about him.
What initially drew me in was the love story between Jim and Pam in the first three seasons. It's beautifully, wonderfully told. The pacing and the execution of it is brilliant and it's one of my favorite romance stories of all time. It's subtle and real and grounded in good characterization. They're complex characters who live in a very realistic world (at least in the first three seasons).
I also really love Pam's development throughout the show. People have a tendency to either love or hate her, but I really think she's underrated at times, and there's an averageness about her that I think really resonates. I love her story overall.
The thing I really appreciate, beyond the romance story, of the first three seasons is just how tight and sharp the writing is. Even when Michael is absolutely terrible, the show is done incredibly well. It feels like a real office. And all of the emotions feel true to real life.
After that -- the show gets a little more goofy. I think all of the periphery characters get fleshed out in fun ways, but it does lose its touch with reality. I don't mind - I enjoy the goofy, but I know that takes away from the realism of the first few seasons. I don't think the show is laugh out loud funny, but I think it does get funnier (for me) in Seasons 4 and 5 -- which are both really solid.
Of course, like all long running shows, there are issues in the later seasons. Season 6 is kind of bland. Season 7 is underrated, and more emotional than you might expect. Season 8 is truly terrible because they really didn't know how to handle Carell's exit. And I think Season 9 is underrated, too, though definitely not as sharp as it once was.
I think if you like good character work, it's definitely something I would recommend. Know that some of it's going to be cringy. But also know that there is a lot of heart and warmth and optimism in it, too. :)
It remains one of my favorite stories of all time.

i just wanna say that i acknowledge that (from what i remember) new moon is pretty Unbearable most of the time But when i re-read it after my first breakup at 18 years old (we lasted a 18 months/3x longer than edbella) i did mostly get her depression/gaping-hole/hates-music thing. to be fair tho i was only rly Depressed for two months & mine manifested in other (arguably healthier ways) (i hung out w friends more & got into weed lol) anyway im not saying bella rights more like it sometimes somewhat resonates maybe. and more importantly i appreciate your takes and jokes and the What Would Pigboy Beau Do (wwpbd) spin. also i sometimes hc stoner!bella bc its funny and has big new moon vibes so im just throwin that out there... as a potential human experience to have, ykno
it consistently tops the "favorite book in the series" polls, so clearly New Moon is relatable to and resonates with a lot of people! just, uh, not us, at least not the Bella Handles Her Breakup parts. but we say that neutrally, not superior-ly. different strokes, yknow? we've never claimed to be representing anyone's experience or opinions but our own, and this is a good example of why. if new moon is your favorite twilight book, then more power to you!! as for us, we reserve the right to do shots of haterade (I hear they serve those at One-Eyed Pete's) or Bella Stanning Juice depending on where our hearts lead us.
also you're so right about Stoner Bella. "hung out with friends more and got into weed" sounds EXACTLY like what she should have done. if only she had followed your example 😔

As some may have noticed I have tried to be quiet about HC and his FS. Regardless of dms or questions. HC doesn't want her involved. There is some strong protective feelings around her. I wanted to respect that and took a step back.
I even admit I would purposely say vague or even misleading things, hoping only the person it was meant for would understand.
I know more than I have let on. However, there is a time and place.
I hope I can say what I need to say clearly.
I know Henry has read my stuff. I know there are a few readers he follows more close than others because he knows they're right and they resonate closely with him.
I had wanted to know why today he was on my mind.
I did a deep dive read.
Now is where I have to think on what and how to say what is needed while also respecting his need to keep her hidden.
HC and his FS have been decided before either were even born. We all come into life with a skeleton plan. Our purpose and who we will have along side us. You can research soul contracts. Soul families and so on. But we have free will too. We don't have to have them.
HC found out exactly who his fs was YEARS ago. That is rather rare and he should consider himself lucky. He was faced with two options. Wait or don't wait LOLOL. He chose to wait for her. The last woman he chose for himself was Tara. The others were work and business. Because he was waiting. He still is.
It just wasn't their time but he was granted a peak. Very lucky.
Since then spirit has been working to set the stage for their union. Yes I said they were options for eachother before they were even born but since that moment he realized spirit has been REALLY WORKING to help them along.
It's been patient. Dropping hints, signs and messages. Divine timing has been a big time player here all along.
Someone in particular recently DOES NOT want them to come into union. Ruin is their intention. Henry does sees that. He has made questionable choices lately LOL but he can see, believe it or not.
It's was your turn HC. The world has the ability to watch you and keep tabs. It was your turn. That's why, if you ever wondered. It's part of the reason why she has been guided to do what she does. It's your turn.
Other readers have also picked up on this. His fs is very psychic. Everyone has intuition. We need it to survive. But some are born with a natural knack for intuition.
Spirit has been dropping Easter eggs for her. Sending her on a treasure hunt. She has seen and felt the one who wishes her Ill intent. Not to scare her but as a warning but also for future use. Where I'm coming close to explaining. I find it somewhat funny since spirit actually used the one who wants their ruin to help their cause.
Every move this ruinous person made, spirit matched. You used a chess board as a reference once. It comes to mind. The difference is spirit has been working YEARS on this. It's ahead of the game.
His fs has a very academic mind. They like knowing the workings and mechanisms of everything. A treasure hunt was the best option for her. Best to ease her into it.
There is disbelief coloring her. She was finally shown the connection in full. It's going to be significantly harder to put a wedge when both parties now know. She knows. There's disbelief.
She will NEVER admit knowing. She won't tell anyone.
Everyone has free will. He or her could decide tomorrow to walk away from the other. It's a risk since she knows. He's waited awhile but I don't see it happening. She plans to wait and see for confirmation.
Hes at a stage in his life he needs to reevaluate everything. He's at an end and coming into a beginning.
Hes invited a disease into his life that has potential of crippling everything. Part of it has been his own choices that have landed him here.
Hes a big boy. He will figure it out. Time moves and he has no choice but to move with it.
Sometimes its best when things are shaken down to the nuts and bolts. You can build up stronger and better.
We need pain and disruption in order to level up. Intention immediately sets spirit in motion. Good and bad. Spirit responds accordingly.
Gnat wasn't intended to be part of WH. There is a feeling of strong arming here. He doesn't want to fight. It almost feels placating. Keep her happy, and get rid of her. Be happy so you can go. The thing is, with people like her? You give them an inch and they push for miles. She also never has had good intentions and karma can have a nasty upper cut to send you on your ass. She has not put in the work. She has not worked to make a name for herself. She wanted to ride his coal tails and expected everything to fall to her feet. It won't work that way for her. People see her. She sees herself different than reality but people see her for what she is. She's not going to make it far. She is hard to be around and work with. She is not likable. She doesn't have charm. She gives off cold and hard vibes. She has her one shot now. And I don't see it going very well but she can try to prove the world wrong. I actually encourage her to. The thing is Natalie, you've wanted his ruin. But you've now attached yourself to him professionally. He fails, you fail. Your reputations are also attached for now. Also...remember Amber Heard. This has potential of going that way and she's ruined. Yes she got him for a short time but she is the true loser now.
Henry is at a new beginning. He needs to evaluate EVERY ASPECT of his life and to have authentic people who want his greatest good around him. The thing of having people with mutual interests around you, you come second. He's been a victim of that. When it comes to the wire, and they have just a bit more push than you? You lose. Because they matter more.
He has great potential of coming back from this. It will be hard. I see potential of rebranding. Big box office movies and awards. But I also see him choosing to slow down in about ten years and being more behind the scenes.
His feelings have been tumultuous as of late. There's been highs and lows in a very short period.
Karma will continue to come after you in order for you to learn what it is trying to teach you. Spirit will keep circling to you. You don't want this to come back in a few years and hit harder. You already feel low. Do you think you want it to happen even worse?
You know next year is going to be special. Look forward to it. Keep your eye on the prize. Visualize the life you want. Visualization is a POWERFUL tool.
Ask yourself the tough questions and level up like spirit wants you too.
Hope everyone had a good holiday.
Dec 28. All alleged and for fun only. Please keep this here. I've had problems with people sharing this all over. Rather escape that drama.

So last Tuesday (Aug 8th) we went to see The Barbie Movie. Now I wasn't a Barbie Girl growing up I had a hand full of dolls but I wasn't really into the whole Barbie thing as a kid I feel that I have more dolls in general now as an adult being I do collect alot of 1:6 Scale stuff of characters I like (mostly Lara Croft😁) and some of them are special edition Barbies. I just gravitated a lil more toward I guess you would say "boys toys" being I loved (and still do love) things like Star Wars, Transformer, Masters of the Universe, ect. I had tons of the She-Ra stuff to go with my He-Man 😄 Now my sister was a Barbie girl and had all the Barbie stuff and that is when I would mostly play Barbies on those rare moments when we weren't fighting and at each others throats. also yes there was of course collectable goodies for it and you can read all about that here.
Now as for the movie I thought it was going to be a lil weird, funny and silly and I wasn't wrong but it also had a very dramatic punch to it too but I can honestly say I did love it. I thought it was excellently done and felt it perfectly captured Barbie and her world.
The opening sequence where it is the 2001: A Space Odyssey parody that you see in the trailer is really good and it is a longer sequence and the voice over by Helen Mirren makes it even more funny and her narration through the entire movie is perfect and adds to the over all humor. Then after that you get to the actual main part of the movie and to Barbie Land and that were you are introduced to Margot Robbie's Barbie and everything she does I was like "this has to be in someone's imagination becasue this is exactly how you play"
but I would have to say the production design and everything was perfect! like when Ken (Ryan Gosling) gets "injured" and the whole "Doctor Barbie" thing with the fold out hospital was awesome!
The references, jokes and all the little things though the movie were awesome I had a few wide eyed gasps and plenty of smiles while watching this
The acting was I thought perfect everyone in this did an amazing job and Margot Robbie was perfect as Barbie (or stereotypical barbie as she is referred to in the movie) She was Barbie and I don't think anyone else could have done that better. Also Ryan Gosling as Ken (or I guess he would be stereotypical Ken/ Beach Ken) was perfect in this too! like I said everyone was amazing
The music is great and the Barbie dance number was really well done but the whole Ken dance number and follow-up Beach showdown/battle of the Kens I felt was just hilariously weird The song is really good but but that sequence in the movie is just purely hilariously weird
I thought it was funny were Mattel made fun of themselves as being this almost evil soulless corporation and everything being just grey and bland but when you went up to the boardroom everything was just pink and girly and they care about little girls dreams
Now when they get to the "real world" the movie does kinda hit differently it is still have the fun and silliness but at the same time you have a bit more of a seriousness and you do feel like you understand things a bit more. I can say that I felt that the movie did resonate with me alot and in various ways
There were moments were I totally could relate to Margot Robbie's Barbie on various levels and then also there were moments where I could totally relate to America Ferrera's character of Gloria on on various levels
I did kinda feel sorry for Ryan Gosling's Ken I was all "awww.." becasue he is so sad all he wants is to be noticed and loved by Margot Robbie's Barbie its like thats his purpose in life and he is trying so hard for that and she doesn't love him back it is kinda sad, so I kinda felt bad for him and felt his somewhat villain turn was kinda understandable becasue when they went to the real world he got love and respect from others but it was not the right kind but in the end when he come back to his senses that is all he wanted was the love and respect of Margot Robbie's Barbie.
In the end I thought it was excellently done and it is just a weirdly fun movie that you can enjoy. So I would highly recommend it. I really liked it and the ppl I went with did too we did a Girl's night for this one the boys didn't go. so we all like it.
There is no credits scenes but the credits did have an interesting lil animated thing where they showed alot of the dolls that inspired the movie.

I've been reading the IDW comics, and I had a thought. If Shadow was a more sympathetic character, I can see him and Surge with "Nothing Left to Lose." It just feels like he could relate to being created with a dark purpose (Black Arms), and Surge just felt a lot like Cass, other than the "fate was mine to choose" part. Just a thought.
That is a really interesting thought. Cassandra's parts of the song easily resonate a lot with Surge because finding out she is a Mobian-turned-cyborg without any memories of who she used to be made her dead set on not only destroying Starline, but also the likes of Sonic, Eggman, and everyone associated with them. To her, if she can't remember or have her past, then they don't deserve a future. No matter what happens or what she does, nothing is going to change her mind of ridding the world of heroes and villains.
On that note, I can see why Shadow would be the closest candidate for Varian's parts. We all know he is an independent, stoic, and serious hedgehog, but there are instances where he's capable of showing compassion, whether it is sacrificing himself to save everyone from the Biolizard or learning Black Doom manipulated him into collecting the Chaos Emeralds so that he could wipe out humankind.
Huh. Funny enough, this had me thinking of his appearances in other Sonic media as I was answering this ask. lol After some thought, I feel like his depiction in the Archie comics' original continuity may be the best fit to him being a more sympathetic character. Prior to its reboot, Shadow still had his trademark character traits, but after learning Gerald made him to be Mobius' protector, he was shown to have become a more heroic and even somewhat more open individual. Most notably, one of his objectives in life after the revelations of his past is "to turn other 'living weapons' like him (such as Metal Sonic) to the side of good instead of destroying them."
Surge, no doubt, fits that equation because she was modified by Starline to be Sonic's imposter. A living weapon meant to destroy him, but has gone rogue on her "creator" all because he found the memories of her past to be irrelevant to his plans. Shadow knows what it's like to not remember the past or who you once were and I think it is safe to say his Pre-Super Genesis Wave counterpart would have an easier time expressing that to Surge and even try to convince her not to take the path of destroying everyone.

Orson Welles and Alan Webb in Chimes at Midnight (Orson Welles, 1965) Cast: Orson Welles, Keith Baxter, John Gielgud, Tony Beckley, Margaret Rutherford, Jeanne Moreau, Norman Rodway, Marina Vlady, Alan Webb, Walter Chiari, Michael Aldridge, Patrick Bedford, Beatrice Welles, Ralph Richardson (voice). Screenplay: Orson Welles, based on plays by William Shakespeare and the chronicles of Raphael Holinshed. Cinematography: Edmond Richard. Production design: Mariano Erdoiza. Film editing: Elena Jaumandreu, Frederick Muller, Peter Parasheles. Music: Angelo Francesco Lavagnino.  Costume design: Orson Welles Falstaff wasn't the role Orson Welles was born to play, it was the role he grew -- and grew -- into. He knew he wasn't the great actor he wanted to be: There are countless stories of Welles ducking out of rehearsing scenes in which he appeared, using stand-ins to avoid performing opposite actors he respected. According to Simon Callow's Orson Welles: One-Man Band, Jeanne Moreau recalled that she waited several days to play one of their scenes together in Chimes at Midnight, and when she asked Welles why he said that he had lost his makeup kit: "I can't do any scenes till it's found," he claimed. "We'll start with the reverse shots of you, the close-ups," a technique he often used in which someone else would feed his lines to the other actor, so that Welles could later do his side of the dialogue by himself. When Moreau found the makeup kit on the set, an assistant urged her not to tell Welles: "He has stage-fright. He hid it himself." It's likely, however, that once you've seen Chimes at Midnight, Welles's Falstaff is the image of Shakespeare's character that will always stick in your mind. Other actors have played him as reckless, destructive, self-deluding, foolish, slovenly, and even at heart malicious -- justifications for all of these interpretations and more are present in the text. Welles plays him as just one step ahead of everyone else, so that Prince Hal's final repudiation comes to Falstaff not as a surprise or a crushing blow, but rather as a fulfillment of something he has always suspected might happen. The close-up of Falstaff's face after Hal's dismissal reveals not so much shock or disappointment as a kind of hurt mixed with "I thought this might happen" and even a little pride at having played a role in Hal's evolution toward kingship. It's a tour de force of silent film acting on Welles's part: For once he's not relying on the familiar resonances of his voice. The film itself was a famous commercial disaster, abetted by hostile critics such as the always unreliable Bosley Crowther of the New York Times, who scared away many potential distributors. It was caught up in a squabble over rights that kept it from being shown theatrically in Welles's lifetime, and it came into its own after it was restored for video release, which is still the only way most of us have seen it. It's also probably the most successful interpretation of Shakespeare for the screen because Welles was not bound by slavish devotion to the source: He picked and chose lines and scenes from at least three Shakespeare plays (Henry IV Parts I and II and Henry V) and arranged them in ways that suited the screen more than the stage. The Battle of Shrewsbury scene is a masterpiece of planning and editing, still endlessly imitated. But the film is also full of grand performances, including Margaret Rutherford as Mistress Quickly, whose account of Falstaff's death is both funny and heartbreaking, and Keith Baxter as a lively but rather sinister Hal. Welles also showcases John Gielgud better than any filmmaker ever did, allowing him to deliver Henry IV's "uneasy lies the head" monologue in his richly poetic manner, even though the performance is somewhat at odds with the more naturalistic ones of the film's other actors. (It's telling, perhaps, that both Welles and Baxter briefly parody Gielgud's delivery when they come to their mock father-son scene.)

THE WIND UP BIRD CHRONICLE
i always find it so funny when people brag about not consuming any media… i think connecting with a good story is what helps us overcome life’s toughest obstacles. in grief lessons, anne carson writes:
“There is a theory that watching unbearable stories about other people lost in grief and rage is good for you—may cleanse you of your darkness. Do you want to go down to the pits of yourself all alone? Not much. What if an actor could do it for you? Isn’t that why they are called actors? They act for you. You sacrifice them to action. And this sacrifice is a mode of deepest intimacy of you with your own life. Within it you watch [yourself] act out the present or possible organization of your nature. You can be aware of your own awareness of this nature as you never are at the moment of experience. The actor, by reiterating you, sacrifices a moment of his own life in order to give you a story of yours.”
for me, this novel is that quote. quite possibly the most impactful Murakami novel i’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. i actually got this book probably half a year before i read it and i had kept trying to read it and kept putting it down but it’s funny because only when i was actually going through a lot of the themes the novel explores was i able to read it. i have a theory that murakami novels click only when they’re supposed to… much like drain songs.
the story starts out with our jobless protagonist searching for not only his wife but his CAT too after both vanish under mysterious circumstances. the novel follows him as he spends a very, very, very long time searching for them both (refusing to accept the most obvious answer: she has left him). through his journey he interacts with a very interesting cast of characters (mostly women in their various stages of development, as is typical for a murakami novel) that help him put his life (somewhat…) back on track.
it’s impossible to tell you, dear reader (my best friend.. love u lots sister) of patheticgirl33, what this novel is ultimately about. there’s a million different themes in this book, but if i had to give my best judgement, i would say it’s ultimately a story about suffering in all of its various forms and the role of it in our lives. when i read this book i was suffering; i couldn’t define which direction my life was going in.. i couldn’t tell up from down or right from left or backwards from forwards anymore. i just knew life was Moving and i was Not and that was It. reading this passage soothed me in a way that seemed impossible at the time, which is why i often quote it to the people in my life.
Tumblr media
i’m also just going to include some other passages from the book that resonated with me.

Science fact of the day- Asteroid Belt!
before we continue with the planets, we're taking a quick pit stop to refuel in the asteroid belt- definitely not because i can't think of anything interesting about jupiter! not at all. but also, the asteroid belt is very rich in resources. see, everything in the solar system is made up of roughly the same stuff, in roughly the same amounts. This is because it all formed from the same big cloud of gas and dust. however, while everything has roughly the same percents of things, the location varies. in particular, heavy metals (such as gold, platinum, and other rare, expensive metals) are dragged down to the core of the Earth because they're denser. however, on asteroids, they lack the gravity to pull anything very far down, and so it sits in relatively easy to extract places. in particular, M type asteroids are asteroids with a high albedo (reflectiveness) and high metal contentant, and are the most likely canidate for asteroid mining. Additionally, other types of asteroids have water ices, which can be broken down into hydrogen and oxygen, which can be used for rocket fuel (i'll probably talk more about this later bc i like different rocket fuels).
However, asteroid mining still has a very large number of difficulties. right now, we have retreived some material from asteroids, amount to... a couple hundred grams. the most recent mission, Osiris-Rex, obtained somewhere in the realm of 250 grams, and it costed 3 billion dollars. of course, as we do more and more of this, it'll get cheaper and cheaper and cheaper, but it's hard to know if it'll ever actually be cheaper than regular earth mining. there's also the difficulty of time, because any mission would take months or years to get to its target, and then just as much time for the materials to be returned. finally, it's somewhat difficult to identify suitable targets for mining, because there's a lot of asteroids out there, and it's hard to tell which are valuable for us.
one other cool thing about the asteroid belt is that the most likely reason it formed is because of Jupiter- if Jupiter wasn't there, it would've likely become a planet, however, because of Jupiter's presence, it messed around with stuff in that area too much for anything large to form there before the material was too spread out for any of it to ever recombine. much of the material probably ended up ejected from the solar system, or at least on orbits that take them far away from the regular asteroid belt. Even today jupiter has a major effect, as orbital resonances (places where the orbital times line up in whole number ratios, ie 2:1 or 3:2) are empty- jupiter pulls or pushes asteroids that end up in those places out of those specific orbits, meaning you have a bunch of gaps in the asteroid population that's kinda funny to look at on a graph.
another fun fact is that 1 Ceres, the largest asteroid (and also a dwarf planet!) makes up 40% of the entire mass of the asteroid belt! however, this... isn't a lot, because the mass of the asteroid belt is about 3% that of the moon, which is about 1% that of earth. so. really, there's not a lot there. Ceres is fairly unique for a dwarf planet, though, as it's the only one with an orbit fully inside neptune's (and jupiter's, for that matter), and its composition differs signifigantly from the outer dwarf planets. while they're primarily cold, icy bodies, Ceres is mostly rocky, because ices still evaporate at that distance. Ceres is pretty cool im a big fan.

Just a thing I wrote somewhere in DMs, thought it was funny/vaguely accurate. Also, anyone who knows me has heard me say some shit like this, so... eh. Maybe nothing to see here:
Psychiatry genuinely is a fucking church.
I mean, I'm genuinely not attacking the use of all meds for all conditions. Some things genuinely work for some people sometimes.
But..... the poor rate of response, its utter unpredictability, and the sort of cryptically ensouled/disavowedly spiritualized nature of some of the conditions, ensures also that it be so, and operate on faith in the one behind the curtain, (Mr.?) Science, and His priests, doctors (of psychiatry, but it is important for their self esteem to emphasize the doctor part whenever given the opportunity).
In order for this to work (placebo is real, and is supported, nay, even enactuated, by the priest's various rituals and workbooks), and to deal with the mysteriously weighty burden of the vacuum of unknowledge.... the priesthood must know.
And if you attack, or even question, the idea that they Know, you attack.... everything. It's an affront to identity, even, for some people.... since the dia-'γνῶσις' is their excuse (though that terming somewhat denigrates sickness...in that word I intend not to attack the sick, which would be all too easy, given our constitutive unsteadiness, but rather to target an attitude toward it, and an idea of what it is) for not being well, for, to be frank, failing at life. Such a situation needs any salve available, real or intangible.
It's not enough to be merely sick (in fact that is the terror... perhaps even the essence of existential terror itself.... the monster, the enemy, unknown... structurally, it cohabits the space of The Thing)... that phrasing is intentionally off-kilter: it is an entire negative in its unknownness, even only a suggestion of (demand for?) suspicion or a dirty signifier of malingering.... to be as a positive, a token accepted as legal tender in any economy, it needs to be a known (sickness).... with little tabs specialmade to be sewn carefully into your identity. . There is no other way.
Also, it resonates with and inherits the structures of what Foucault calls 'pastoral power'.... which is embodied in the systems of sin, confession, penance, and the divine gaze. It's a spiritual inheritor of the church, only sanitized and scientificalized.
No all-knowing God... but rather a messianic all-knower sitting (in hopeful visions, nearly) at the end of history, from the gaze of whom you can hide no spot of illness.
This doesn't, I know, describe everyone involved, everyone who takes meds, every doctor and every nurse.... but it is a common enough attitude that it tangibly haunts the actual efficacy of these systems... more, in fact, it shares with them its rather more tangible breath, which enlivens them, despite not everyone believing in the reality of the ghost.

Feel like rambling, and I haven't talked about LARPing on my Tumblr at all yet. I'd LOVE to gush about my character, but honestly, a lot of what I like about him plays off the setting, both the larger world the game takes place in and the actual in-game space that represents the one specific town we live in.
The LARP I go to is Witchwood in western Massachusetts. The game just celebrated its tenth year of operation at the first spring session of this year. I've been around in this game for 6, so most of its run. If you happen to live in New England, I promise you'll find precious few communities that are more fun and welcoming to be in and if you have ANY interest whatsoever in pretending to be a fantasy person out in the woods 4 times a year you should check it out. Obligatory link: witchwoodroleplaying.com
More below a page break because I have no idea how long this is gonna be but it sure ain't gonna be short.
So, this game has a lot of lore. I'm not going to detail all of it, just a decent surface dive.
The biggest concept is the six Realms. These are reasonably analogous to various planes of being in DnD, but there's exactly six instead of umpteen-million. Imagine a circle or sphere divided into six equal wedge segments, and that's roughly how the cosmos is arranged. The Realms are also heavily color coded.
Evren is basically the Material Plane from DnD and is the most straightforward comparison. It's where the player characters live. It's the realm of growth and REgrowth. Of new things. And the realm of things coming together. Of communities. This isn't unilaterally a good thing. Cliques and hostile factions are still communities, after all. It also contains the Witchwood Tree, for which the game is named. Go back to that circle cut into segments. The Witchwood Tree is a huge fuckoff tree that grows at the center point where the all touch. The tree has one root in each other realm. Yes it's similar to Yggdrasil. Magic of this realm generally takes the form of Druid abilities. Healing, poison, and the like. Evren's associated color is very bright, blinding white. It borders the realms of Reverie and Firmament. Its opposing realm is Void.
Reverie is the realm of thought. The mind. Dreams. Feelings. The things that form what you'd recognize as sapient. Reverie as a place shifts to meet the world's collective expectations of it. It's also the realm of fates and destinies. Of reputations. Everything the people of other realms firmly believe is heightened to the point of absurdity within Reverie, so among us players it has a somewhat deserved reputation as being "the funny realm." On the flipside, it also heightens our fears and darkest thoughts, to the point where the principal enemy that comes from here is Nightmares made manifest. Reverie magic is channeled through casters called Weavers, and in game terms is all about inflicting malicious status effects. Sleep, Silence, etc. Its color is green. It borders Evren and Umbra, and its opposing realm is Vigor.
Umbra is the realm of the spirit. Of the dead. What's left of something after it dies. The undead, both naturally occurring and created, come from Umbral power. It's also one of two places the people of Evren can go to when they die, being stripped of everything except their spirit, which is generally an imitation of what they were in life, with the details fading as people that remember them can no longer do so. Given that travel between realms is both doable and not even particularly hard, this means you can talk to your deceased loved ones if they go to Umbra pretty easily. This act also bolsters the strength of the spirits you talk to, preventing them from fading away for longer. But eventually everything falls away to nothing, lost to history. It's also where the stories of the realms resonate. Umbral magic is channeled through Mystics, and has a general damage focus centered around attacking the spirit, which particularly harms undead. The blunt Death spell is their signature. Umbra stuff is red, it borders Reverie and Void, and its opposing realm is Firmament.
Void is nothing. It's emptiness. It's teeming with strange life. It's everything. Void is, fundamentally, about two things: paradox and never having enough. Creatures of Void are defined by their hunger, ceaseless and unsatisfiable. The power of Void renders anything and everything possible, but using Voidic power is generally hazardous to the health of anything not of Void. This might all make Void sound evil. It's not. It's alien, and it's primal. It is so divorced from the understanding of you and I that trying to apply our morality to what goes on there is foolish. Voidic magic can be harnessed at great sacrifice by Voidmancers, but doing so usually carries insane social stigma and also curses you for life. (Player characters cannot be Voidmancers at character creation. They have to learn it in-game.) Void's color is purple, its neighboring realms are Umbra and Vigor, and its opposing realm is Evren.
Vigor is the realm of action, order, strength, and power. Vigor is almost mechanical in how it operates as a whole. Its beings are made in factories in bulk. Golems are other similar single-minded constructs that simply obey. It's also, curiously, the OTHER place you have the option of going when you die. Instead of your spirit playacting a simulation of who you used to be, all of that is obliterated in favor of repurposing your raw power to fuel Vigor's many forever wars. This option is considered favorable among people who wish for the end of their life to be the actual END. Smash cut to the credits. Vigorish magic can either manifest as martial ability and prowess, or be manipulated directly by runic magic, which simply efficiently recreates existing powers without iterating. Its color is blue, it borders Void and Firmament, and its opposing realm is Reverie.
Lastly going around the wheel, we have Firmament. Firmament is the realm of the elements: fire, water, air, and earth. It's also the source of mana, the raw essence required to do magic. It's denizens are either creatures typifying the element(s) they are associated with (phoenixes, drakes/dragons/imps of various elements etc.), as well as the fae courts constantly infighting over squabbles Evrish folk can never fully understand even as they get roped in on one side or the other. Firmament power is channeled through Wizards. Their color is yellow, they border Evren and Vigor, and their opposing realm is Umbra.
So that's what the cosmology of this place is like. I'll save the ramble about the actual place on the map the players live some other time.

In the back
off the side
far away
Is a place
where I hide
where I stay
Tried to say
tried to ask
I needed to
All alone
by myself
where were you?
How could I
ever think
it's funny how
Everything that swore it wouldn't change
is different now
Just like you
would always say,
"We'll make it through"
Then my head
fell apart
and where were you?
How could I
ever think
it's funny how?
Everything you swore would never change
is different now
Like you said
"You and me
make it through"
Didn't quite
fell apart
where the fuck were you?

If it’s alright with you could you do an astrology post about how bts would flirt with a person they were attracted to?
So.. god I really hate disclaimers because I like to believe that we are all reasoning people, plus there’s a general disclaimer on my page BUT I know for a fact that people don’t read that (those same people won’t read this one anyway).
Disclaimer: This analysis/reading is based on my experience and knowledge of astrology, it is not meant to be the absolute truth, as BTS are real people, and astrology can only capture so much about multidimensional humans that have had past experiences and cultural approaches amongst other things, it does not have to resonate with you since this is in no way related to anyone reading it (unless you are a member of BTS in which case, get out of here lol ) This is just for entertainment purposes.
OKAY NOW THAT THAT’S OVER by default, Venus and Mars could give us an insight into their love styles, but I’ve already got reading about those here, here, and here
We are going to use those BUT I’ll focus on their EROS (if you want me to do actual research and post a full love life analysis for each member, let me know in my ask)
SO BASICALLY THIS IS BTS’  FLIRTING STYLE ACCORDING TO THEIR VENUS, MARS, AND EROS.
Kim Seokjin ʕっ˘ڡ˘ςʔ
I feel like a dad joke to tune into the other person’s humor is his way to go.
His Eros in Scorpio points to someone blunt in his approach, so something along the lines of overly flirting pick-up lines.
His Cancer Mars points to his overall romantic self so if Kim Seokjin is flirting with you prepare to live a drama scene where you feel like the only person in the world.
His Capricorn Venus reinforces the fact that this man is straightforward when flirting, and is very VERY selective as to who they approach.
So all in all, these three placements tell me that Kim Seokjin is a man that loves the fact that people are so multidimensional and he is here for it! he wants to know everything about the person he decided to approach because this man’s standards are over the top and he knows it.
There's a lot of talking involved while getting to know each other, although he drops facts about himself here and there along with some funny storytimes, he will make it all about you.
A gentleman at his finest, drop you by your house, make sure you’re not cold, that you’re enjoying your food, that you’re comfortable.
This man’s way into your heart is ultimately his actions + his humor.
Min Yoongi  /ᐠ。ꞈ。ᐟ\
He’s... silent. Kinda shy, okay very shy, unless you gave off a great vibe, you’re not getting past awkward introductions and anxious small talk.
If you make it past introductions(because let’s be real, this man’s standards? impossible to fulfill), you’re in for a ride.
His Eros in Capricorn makes him crave to connect in a physical sense, even if it’s just hand-holding during dates, funny enough, this placement is the hardest one to make him open up so.. he’s not talking much about himself.
EVEN FUNNIER his Aries Venus points to someone bold and confident, which I can totally see him doing, the first move if he sees someone that plays into his idea of perfection.
Idk why it just strikes me as he knows what he wants from people, he’s not afraid of a challenge and chase, and his boldness as well as need for physical touch, makes him a great candidate for a fun short term, especially since his Eros signals that he pretty much values work more than love life.
Yoongi is... very much handled by his ego self, so he might be aloof at times, it has to do with his terrible high standards, a somewhat fear of intimacy and love for his work that keeps him from any type of social life (because he values work too much), but this man is also very romantic, and a great listener, as it is told by his Cancer Mars.
It’s all a matter of getting through his hard skin to get to the mushy Yoongi he doesn’t let many people experience.
Jung Hoseok ʕ♡˙ᴥ˙♡ʔ
This man loves a challenge, the thrill of the chase, not very healthy if you ask me but hey, you do you.
Playing hard to get will most certainly interest him. As well as letting him help you so he can “save the day”. This is all according to his Aries Eros.
True to his Eros, his Aquarius Mars makes him be the biggest fan of flirting, and he obviously succeeds, thanks to his huge charisma and wittiness.
LISTEN- THIS MAN as oblivious to affection as he is, can flirt with a whole group of people at once.
Free-spirited and quick-witted people are his cup of tea since it makes it easier for him to keep the flirting flow going.
I know I’ve said it many times before in this post, ISN’T IT FUNNY his Pisces Venus points to him being shy and awkward but cute, which I think pretty much describes Hobi, minus the shy.
So all in all, Hoseok flirting magnet, he is all smiles and will fill your heart with cute stuff and funny things, also, KING of not giving off mixed signals, he doesn’t even have to say a word, he flirts with his whole body.
KIM NAMJOON “φʕ•ᴥ•oʔ
THIS MAN BEING AN EROS IN LIBRA MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. He has a more traditional sophisticated way of flirting, kinda like courting.
It also makes him very giving, up until the relationship is off-balanced, then things end, so yeah, he likes to give, but he also likes to receive just as much.
Also, very much into intelligent refined people.
Just like Yoongi and Jin, he has a Cancer Mars, which only heightens his leaning towards traditional love and courting.
He will be devoted even when flirting, wanting to know everything about the other person, even on the first date, just- very very soft Joonie.
Lowkey, as poised as he is, his Scorpio Venus will give everyone a run for their money on terms of flirting. This man knows whats he's doing and how much he affects the person he is flirting with.
He’s just- so used to flirting and connecting with people that he doesn’t have an outcome in mind, just finds flirting fun and exciting.
Basically, Namjoon is a man that knows what he wants and how to get it, but flirting stages are just so common to him, he does it out of boredness, not that he doesn’t want to connect with people, quite the contrary, he finds people so amazing, it’s just- flirting doesn’t have an endgame for him.
Might I dare to go as far as to say, Kim Namjoon might end up in a relationship by accident just because he didn’t know when to end his constant flirting.
PARK JIMIN  •᷄ɞ•᷅
His Eros in Pisces makes him one of the more emotionally passionate of the bunch, to an unhealthy state, in which he may manipulate himself in order to satisfy the other person.
There’s a lot of thought going into dates, small gifts “because they reminded me of you” and a lot of cute stuff. Very Very passionate.
He has a Scorpio Mars, so as much as he is passion-driven and very much into cute stuff, and believing that he should 100% merge with the other person, he knows what he’s doing when he flirts.
Different from Namjoon, Jimin doesn’t just flirt for funsies, he entertains the idea of love when flirting, future plans, meeting the parents, he can just see it all.
AND he also has a Scorpio Venus so he is definitely aware of all his flirting and how he affects the other person, especially since there’s a lot of sex appeal going into it.
Not so much a mystery himself, but he tries to be the perfect fit for all. Which might ultimately hide behind this perfect partner facade.
This man doesn’t just end up in a relationship by accident, this man falls in love on accident.
KIM TAEHYUNG ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ
We’ve got another one in love with the thrill of the chase.
Tae also has Eros in Aries, so there’s a lot of playfulness involved in flirting, from banter to playfully shoving the other person aside.
Might also be into dates where he can compete with you, like arcade, or something that he disguises as competition but he knows beforehand he’ll win.
Someone tell him it’s not healthy to crave impossible relationships, anyway, he’d love to be the shinning armor in his love story.
He has Capricorn Mars, which makes him have an honest, practical, and straightforward style of flirting.
The vibe check is real, so unless you pass it with flying colors, do not expect to be flirted with.
Although, his whole aura screams social and flirty due to his Aquarius Venus, which involves a lot of charisma and a great sense of humor.
Just like Hobi, Tae can flirt with a bunch of people at once without even trying.
JEON JUNGKOOK  ₍ᐢ ̥ ̞ ̥ᐢ₎ ♥
Flirting for Jungkook is more of a mental game than an emotional one, according to his Eros in Gemini.
Now listen, the nerdier, the better. But you would have to approach him first, as much as he enjoys the idea of talking to people, he doesn’t really do it that well.
Just like Jimin, he has Scorpio Mars, so in line with flirting being a mental game, he knows his game plan, his moves, he knows how people will react to them, he knows what he wants, and more importantly, how to get it.
He very obviously knows about his sex appeal and uses it as an advantage, even though at first he’s kinda awkward about it.
Much like Namjoon, he enjoys flirting so much that he doesn’t even need to have an endgame in mind. He likes to hear people talking about their passions and loves it even more if he learns a thing or to about it in the way, but his awkwardness comes through when he doesn’t really measure that most of the time when you flirt its because you’re interested in pursuing a romantic relationship.
His Libra Venus also plays the part, since it signals him being flirty and witty without even trying, just a man, his beauty, his charm, and his charisma.
He’ll do anything possible to make you feel like you matter, even going as far as daring to hold your hand just because (which is a great pointer t know if he is really interested or just flirting bc he can)
Ultimately, his flirtation serves as a means to cheer themselves and other people up.
