AH for real! Hell theres friends I know who are scared to even post their cool stuff to begin with- its so sad that a community was created where a good chunk of the artists are too scared to even make their work public :( (or even announce a patreon for it)
Ha it also took more guts than I would like to admit to make that last post, but hey look! FMA meme redraw!
I have no worries of hate though, after all I am just posting for myself and my friends! Whom would love to help me fight my battles o7

I saw your callout in the Gale tag for that one user (no comment on them, tho ty for the callout bc i'd seen them in the notes of my fics) and was curious if you could elaborate on some of the Mystra incidents you described towards the end of the post? I'm new to the lore of the setting and find it hard to research (which makes sense given its importance to dnd), so I've heard a lot of conflicting things about Mystra's portrayal in the wider series. No pressure, obviously!
No problem! And yea, I've seen her arguing in the posts of a few people I follow or just Gale-related posts I find interesting. Usually I don't get involved in stuff like this, but I noticed a constant pattern and then all the homophobic shit so I went off a little.
Unfortunately it's hard to find exact examples of the Mystra lore because certain modules aren't very popular or even free to access, but if you're interested the best way to learn about her is by reading the Elminster novels. There's twelve total, dating all the way back to 1994, and they detail Elminster's adventures. I'll be honest though, some of them are a hard read and written through the lens of a man who's admitted very creative, but also has a lot of problematic ideas.
In the first book Elminster is a child. His entire town gets wiped out by mages, thereby making him hostile toward magic. He sneaks into Mystra's temple to deface her statue one night, but she appears before him and basically gaslights him into learning magic and becoming her rare Chosen. He becomes a wizard and cleric basically overnight, until eventually he multiclasses into pretty much every class type in DnD. As you can imagine a lot of players aren't too fond of Elminster, as he's a well known self-insert of the author and pretty annoying to run into during campaigns. None of my dungeon masters like him anyway.
He also becomes one of Mystra's most loyal followers, but she fucks with him over and over, turning him into a woman to teach him a lesson and SLEEPING with him in that form, berating him when he struggles with the torture he endures when he gets stuck in the hells, making him reproduce without his knowledge and getting jealous when he gives his partners more attention. Because she's a very jealous goddess, which I think the game vaguely touches on but not really.
I wish I had the time to flip through all the novels and give exact citations but the best I can do is suggest them, because they're so eye opening. She's considered a neutral good goddess, but neutral gods often do terrible things for the sake of their domain. I think it needs to be noted that Mystra, as with all gods in the pantheon, only cares about her portfolio. She isn't wrong for that, but it doesn't mean she's blameless when she messes with people's lives. She's done a lot of good but she's also made horrible decisions, especially where her followers are concerned.
For example, Elminster having children he doesn't know about. He has a daughter named Narnra. Her conception was... pretty fucked up. Basically a song dragon named Ammaratha Cyndusk was an occasional lover of Elminster's (he has a lot of those because of course he does) and she wanted to bear his child, but since he's a Chosen of Mystra he can control his fertility. Magic birth control, basically. He didn't want a kid so Ammaratha went behind his back to learn a counterspell that would make him fertile during sex. The man she asked refused to teach her because...duh that's messed up, but then Mystra intervened and told him to teach her the spell because she wanted Elminster's "seed to spread". Ammaratha never told him and neither did Mystra. No matter what the reasons, that was NOT consensual on Elminster's part, and it happened two more times, resulting in two more daughters with different women. If I remember correctly Elminster did eventually find out waaaaay later when they were all adults, but it never amounted to anything.
The sisters I was taking about are the Seven Sisters, Mystra's "daughters". And I put "daughters" in quotations because Mystra possessed the body of a woman named Elué and impregnated her without her consent. She slept with the woman's husband (again, while possessing her body) and made them sire seven children. This of course lead to Elué's death because the constant flow of magic in her body was too much for her to handle. Her grieving husband broke after she died and eventually left, abandoning his daughters and earning Mystra's scorn...as if he was in the wrong. The sisters were then orphaned and raised by foster families.
That said, most of the awful things anyone can say about Mystra were the doings of her previous incarnations so ultimately it doesn't apply to the Mystra of BG3. In fact, this third Mystra is supposed to be a new and improved goddess who's nicer to her followers. So her portrayal in BG3 annoyed a lot of DnD fans. I should also point out that Mystra has two types of fans: ones who will defend everything she does, even when it's fucked up beyond all comprehension, and the ones who will tell you she's a true neutral goddess capable of good and bad. I'm the latter. There are plenty examples of Mystra sticking her neck out for innocents, but there's also examples of her doing the most horrendous shit imaginable.
A lot of veteran players, at least the ones I know, are upset with the portrayal of Mystra in BG3 because her plan to end the Absolute is, quite frankly, stupid. Your party is the best chance anyone has of ending the threat, but she asks Gale to nuke himself and possibly tens of thousands, which makes no sense because she could've just sent her mages/clerics to deal with the problem. And there was no guarantee the bomb would've worked anyway. She put all the responsibility on one man and it DEFINITELY comes off as vindictive. That isn't out if character for her but she's not SUPPOSED to be that bad anymore. For a lot of DnD players it felt like she was reverting back to her old habits.
I think there's also a part in the game where you can directly ask Gale why she doesn't just blip the Absolute out of existence and he says something like, "She could but Ao won't allow it." That was also really strange for a lot of veteran players to hear because Gale drops Ao's name like it's nothing. Most people (especially if they're new to the franchise) wouldn't know this but most people in Faerûn don't know who Ao is! Because he wiped people's memories of his existence! I suppose it does make sense for Gale to know that name, since Mystra probably explained the pantheon to him, but it's VERY unlikely tav would know it. So during that conversation all I could picture was tav tilting their head like, "Huh? Who? Whaaa?"
And on top of that......Ao absolutely WOULD allow it because the Absolute effects the Weave and every other god! It had the potential to ruin the balance of the universe, which makes Ao a very angry boy. Balance is one of the ONLY things he cares about. The Dead Three were stealing souls and worshippers, which gods needs to survive, and dying gods disrupts the balance. It's a whole circle of chaos. So the only conclusion left for me to extrapolate is this: Mystra just really, really wanted Gale to kill himself to prove his devotion to her. Which...isn't great. Bad look for her.
It's kind of like how Raphael thinks the Crown of Karsus is going to help him end the Blood War and take over the hells. DnD players laughed during his epilogue because...no it won't lol. He doesn't stand a chance even with the crown. He's arrogant and he's gonna get slapped by his daddy and all the other archdevils, the same way Gale gets slapped by Mystra if he ascends. Even the Absolute ending of the game wouldn't last long because the gods would go to war with the Dead Three, wipe them out and rebuild Faerûn, which has happened many times in past DnD campaigns. Mystra alone has torn worlds apart and glued them back together. The main crisis of BG3 is saving the world you live in or everybody dies. For the gods it's just a Tuesday. I mean look at how Withers owns the Dead Three with a wave of his hand at the end of the game. Mystra COULD'VE killed the Absolute, just as she could've removed the orb from Gale's chest the moment it happened. She just didn't WANT to. She wanted him to die. She wanted him to chastise himself. She wanted him to suffer and come crawling back to her as an obedient follower. She wanted him to learn a harsh and honestly unfair lesson, which is a terrible throwback to her previous incarnations.

ok i might get blocked by a couple ppl for saying this but the Jackson’s Diary fandom is seriously making me wanna become a proshipper out of spite (read the post before blocking me or whatever please)
like idk if u guys have checked the fandom tag on ao3 recently but theres been a bit of drama surrounding the fact that someone posted a smut-fic of Exer (an 18yo) and David (an almost 18yo, who was aged up A FEW MONTHS for the fic) and they were harassed into taking it down and making a fucking apology post ON AO3, THE PROBLEMATIC FANWORKS WEBSITE.
and this fic was tagged 100% correctly like it was very explicitly tagged as smut n stuff yet there were still a bunch of comments being like “uhm what did i just read 🤨” and when i made a comment defending the authors right to yk, not be harassed for making not even rlly problematic content someone who clearly would suffer withdrawal symptoms if they turned twitter off for too long started arguing with me abt how “erm ackhtually we should be allowed to comment harassment under ppls harmless and explicitly tagged fics cause theres no smut in this fandom and it shocked us” and u could just rlly tell they felt they were more righteous than God in their opinions and yeah so cut to tonight when i’m scrolling through the tag and i see a post titled “i’m so sorry” in which the author made a post basically being like “i’m so sorry for posting that ik it was disgusting it has been permanently deleted” which in the comments a few ppl were telling them that what happened sucked n stuff (myself included // judging by their reply they only did this to stop the harassment which yk, completely fair) and i went back to scrolling since i wanted an actual fic not fandom drama but like 2 posts down there was another post titled “please stop” or smthn like that where someone else made a post basically being like “guyssss can we please not write smut of these characters this fandom is so wholesome i dont wanna ruin it 🥺 anyways sorry this isnt a fic this just needed to be said lol” and like dude, my guy, WHAT THE FUCK?!
this is AO3, this is a fanwork archive that as far as i know was created (at least partially) due to the fact that ppl kept getting their “problematic” works taken down from other sites and the creators wanted to yk archive all fanworks. this is NOT a social media site where u can make callout posts abt how what someone else posted disturbed ur pure wholesome chaste scrolling by daring to uploaded something with *gasp* consensual sex between 2 consenting adults?! (or canonically 1 consenting adult and 1 consenting gonna-be-an-adult-in-a-few-months-but-isnt-much-younger-than-the-first-guy but u get the idea)
like guys, ao3 is not twitter. it is not tiktok, it is not tumblr, its not youtube, its not even wattpad. it is not a social media platform, it is a fanwork archive, specifically one that lets u post whatever kinda content u want (yes, even smthn depicting 2 consenting adult/almost adult participates that are in no way related having sex, ik its crazy what they allow online these days).
and look honestly the callout post wouldn’tve annoyed me this much if it was posted on yk an actual social media. like if it was posted on twitter or tiktok or on youtube as a video essay or even on here, like sure if i saw it id be annoyed that this fandom cant handle the tiniest bit of non-puritanicalism and fuck, maybe if it was on here id even drag myself into a pointless days-long argument that causes me suicidal levels of stress but on archive of our fucking own itself?! for the millionth time, IT IS NOT A SOCIAL MEDIA! u dont make posts like that that u want the rest of the fandom to read or whatever on there because its not that kinda website!
anyways yeah i hope i explained the situation ok, u might be able to check it out urself if u feel like it and yeah idk this whole thing just kinda felt like a wake-up call for me like yes i find incest and pedophilia disgusting OBVIOUSLY and i dont like ppl romanticising it in fiction but idk i’ve seen ppl talk abt toxic antis before and show screenshots of conversations where theyve acted super shitty but idk seeing this all unfold in person and having to argue with these hardcore antis just- i dont wanna be associated with these ppl, if these are what alotta antis r like i dont want anyone to assume i agree with them like at all, whether its other antis, proshippers, or ppl like me who have a super complicated opinion on it. like they harassed a person into taking down their smut and made call-out posts on ARCHIVE OF OUR OWN abt how they dont want their wholesome pure fandom corrupted by gross dirty irredeemable sex. and just yeah hope no mutuals i seriously care abt unmoot or even block me over this since ik a few of u r antis but yeah srry for this i just kinda seriously hate this fandom right now :)
also incase anyone is typing out a “kill yourself pedo” reply/rb rn; i turn 15 on Friday, i am 2+ years younger than ur innocent bb minor boy David and his definitely not already a legal adult boyfriend Exer so yk

In Defense of Dead Dove: Do Not Eat
What's the point of a tag that tells you to read the tags? Isn't that redundant? Actually, no! "Dead dove: do not eat" does serve an important purpose because it's NOT just a generic "mind the tags" statement, there's more to it than that.
Because of all the misinformation surrounding DD:DNE and how muddied the waters have become with some people trying to claim that it's equivalent to "what it says on the tin" (or the like), there seems to be some confusion about its purpose. I recently explained the origins of DD:DNE and its inherent dark connotations, but I just encountered another misleading dead dove post and I want to provide more clarity on how it's supposed to be used and why it's genuinely helpful.
Many writers these days tend to be overly cautious and tag every little thing, particularly when it comes to potentially triggering or problematic content, regardless of how much or little that content is featured in the fic. While thorough tagging is greatly beneficial on the whole, it can sometimes be hard to tell the tone or intent of a fic and how much weight you should put on those warnings from just looking at a list of tags.
"Dead dove: do not eat" is a flashing warning sign that, not only will potentially triggering or problematic content feature heavily, it will also be presented and framed with little to no authorial commentary or judgment. It's saying: "I hope you're prepared to read something fucked up because that's what you'll find here and I'm not justifying, moralizing, or apologizing for it. You have been warned." This should be used in conjunction with specific content warnings to indicate the exact flavor of fucked up you're going to encounter, but even if someone chooses not to clarify in the tags for some reason (a controversial choice, to be sure), it's still a warning in and of itself. DD:DNE is not entirely meaningless without other tags, it's just more thorough and informative with them.
Consider two fics tagged with rape/noncon, one with the DD:DNE tag and one without.
The fic without the dead dove label may just include discussion of noncon that happened to a character in the past, the noncon may occur in the fic but be glossed over and not described in detail, or the noncon may be dubcon at worst. Everyone has different thresholds for certain types of content, so some people may still choose to warn for it in these cases. I'm not attempting to pass judgement on whether or not the noncon warning should be used in that way, but it happens regularly and it can make sorting through tags to find what you're looking for complicated.
The fic with the DD:DNE tag? That's a Rape Fic. You can pretty safely assume the noncon is going to be a major component of the fic, it will likely be explicit, you won't be spoon-fed any morals about it, and it probably won't have a conventionally happy ending.
Not having the DD:DNE tag obviously doesn't mean that a fic does NOT contain dark or problematic content, as not everyone chooses to use it, but including it essentially guarantees it (at least when used correctly). This can be very helpful for anyone specifically looking for something angsty and awful to wallow in, while allowing others who aren't interested in that to safely avoid it.
Because of its inherent connotations, "dead dove: do not eat" should NEVER be used as a generic call to "mind the tags." If you add it to your non-problematic, 100% consensual fic because you happen to include an unusual kink or whatever, you WILL scare away readers because they WILL assume you have a dark untagged twist in there somewhere.
DD:DNE is a convenient fandom-agnostic modifier that conveys to readers they are about to encounter something unapologetically fucked up and to make sure they're in the right headspace for it. Do not open the bag labeled "dead dove" if you are not prepared to see a dead dove.

I’m not gonna tag this because, frankly, I don’t feel like getting involved in drama but… I’ve been watching a four hour long video on 50 Shades Darker, because I enjoy learning about shitty literature and, I made a realization. This is probably obvious but, anti-shippers must think all pro-shippers are like E.L. James or Colleen Hoover or Stephanie Meyer… But, every pro-shipper written story I’ve read is incredibly aware of its own fucked uppedness, not only was it correctly tagged, but even the most self-indulgent story has characters who recognize how disturbing the dynamic is and/or directly looks into the messed up psyche of the problematic characters, directly addressing the fact that it’s not okay. Okay, no, that’s not entirely true. The exception is literal straight up porn. And, well, we all know porn will always be like this because it’s inherently indulgent. Like… idk, I just wish they’d actually look at the stories they’re condemning before taking them entirely in poor faith

How to Create an IE-Only Stylesheet: A Step-by-Step Guide
In today's web development world, cross-browser compatibility is crucial for delivering an outstanding user experience. However, creating web pages that look the same on all browsers is often a challenging task. Internet Explorer (IE) is notorious for being the most problematic browser, as it requires specific stylesheets to render web pages correctly. In this article, we'll guide you through the process of creating an IE-only stylesheet that ensures your web pages look great on this browser.
1. Understanding the Need for an IE-Only Stylesheet
Internet Explorer has been around for a long time, and many users still use older versions of the browser. While newer versions of IE have improved, there are still inconsistencies in how they render web pages compared to other browsers. This is because IE uses its own rendering engine, which differs from the other popular browsers such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
As a web developer, it's crucial to ensure your web pages look good across all browsers, including older versions of IE. This is where an IE-only stylesheet comes into play. By creating a separate stylesheet that targets only IE, you can make sure your web pages render correctly on this browser without affecting other browsers.
2. Creating the IE-Only Stylesheet
Tumblr media
Creating an IE-only stylesheet is a straightforward process that involves creating a conditional comment, linking the stylesheet, writing the stylesheet, and testing it. Let's dive into each of these steps in more detail.
2.1 Creating a Conditional Comment
A conditional comment is a special HTML comment that targets specific versions of Internet Explorer. It allows you to include HTML or CSS code that only IE will read. Here's an example of a conditional comment that targets IE 8 and below:
htmlCopy code
<!--[if lt IE 9]> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ie8-and-below.css" /> <![endif]-->
This conditional comment tells IE 8 and below to link to the "ie8-and-below.css" stylesheet, which contains the styles specific to those versions of IE.
2.2 Linking the Stylesheet
Once you have created the conditional comment, you need to link the stylesheet you created to it. In the example above, the link tag specifies the type of file (CSS) and the path to the stylesheet. Make sure you specify the correct path to the stylesheet.
2.3 Writing the Stylesheet
Now that you have linked the stylesheet, you can start writing the CSS code that targets only IE. You can use any valid CSS code, but keep in mind that the goal is to fix the rendering issues that IE has with your web page. Here's an example of a CSS rule that targets only IE:
cssCopy code
/* IE-specific style rule */ #my-element { background-color: yellow; }

Let’s bring back raw and ugly fanfiction
When did the people (or a certain group of fanfic readers) started getting so loud about demanding ‘morally correct’ stories? And even more, demanding well-made polished content?
Been thinking about this for a while and I feel like it has started to affect fanfic created in recent years (and just made a lot of stories more flat and boring instead of raw and interesting).
On a personal level, I always felt like characters are so much more interesting if they are allowed to fuck up and do the stupid shit. For that, they need to be allowed to do things some might consider as ‘wrong’. Of course I can appreciate a well written story, but I love even more than that when I can see that the author was just going wild and had the time of their love making the story.
Reader trying to policy what authors are writing about is a problem. Remember that authors in fandom are also just fans sharing their art for free - and so often have I heard that those demands have just lead to authors stopping to write at all.
When was the shift (was there ever a shift?) from just skipping over stories that are not for you to demand that those should not exists at all. Where did all these young folks that might mean well, but sound like part of a purity cult come from?
(DL;DR - Don’t Like Don’t Read) was called a law of fandom for a good reason. Maybe we should get back to sharing those more.
(A petty part of me wants to blame the twitter/tiktok generation of fandom, but even I know that this is not the root of the problem.)
The greatness about fanfiction was always its rawness, as it is mostly written by unprofessional writers, by people powered only by their own passion for a specific thing - and due that stories can tell and talk about things that publish work could not dream of.
“But what about problematic stories?” If it is tagged correctly, you can easily just scroll past - besides, who even defines what is problematic in first place? (As a side note: I had people call my writing problematic, because a teen drank a beer in one of them, just a single beer, and people still called it ‘problematic underage drug use’)
“What about racist stories? Stories containing non-con, incest, (insert badwrong-story element here), ...?”
When we write stories, should we, according to this, really just focus on ‘the good people’ - and leave out real and raw and human stories in the process? We experience so, so much questionable and dark shit in life, and I don’t want to censor it in this writing that I always celebrated for its rawness.
Of course it is good to know what your personal preferences (and limits) for stories are, but those are personal, nothing more.
So readers, let’s learn again to just let stories that you don’t like be, and writers let’s learn again to write stories that you really would like to see.

These mistakes may be affecting your website bounce rate.
Tumblr media
What is Bounce Rate?
Bounce rate refers to the percentage of visitors who leave your website after reading only one page (or “bounce” back to the search results or referring website).
This can happen if a person spends more than 30 minutes on a page.
So, what exactly is a high bounce rate, and why is it a problem?
Well, “high bounce rate” is a relative word that depends on the aims of your organization and the type of website you have.
Bounce rates that are too low can be problematic.
Here are some mistakes that can cause your website bounce rate to increase:
1- Slow Pages
Google is putting a greater emphasis on site speed as part of its Core Web Vitals program.
A slow-loading page might cause a significant increase in bounce rate.
Google uses site speed as part of its ranking algorithm.
Google aims to promote material that gives users a good experience, and they understand that a slow site can give them that.
Users want information quickly, so Google has put so much effort into highlighted snippets.
2- Content That Is Self-Sufficient
In Google Analytics, check at the Time Spent on Page and Average Session Duration indicators to see if bounce rate is something to be concerned about.
To see if the high bounce rate is a problem, you can undertake user experience testing and A/B testing.
If a person spends a few minutes or more on your page, Google interprets this as a good signal that they found your website highly relevant to their search query.
That kind of user intent is gold if you want to rank for that specific search query; United SMEs are here to help you.
3- A Few Pages Make a Disproportional Contribution
Using the preceding section as an example, you may have a few pages on your site that contribute disproportionately to the overall bounce rate.
Google is good at distinguishing between the two.
You’re probably good to go if you’re single CTA landing pages adequately satisfy user intent and cause them to bounce rapidly after taking action. Still, your longer-form content pages have a lower bounce rate.
4- A Title tag and Meta description that is deceptive
Consider this: Is your title tag and Meta description accurately summarizing the content of your page?
If you don’t, users may come to your site believing it’s about one thing only to discover it’s not and then go back to where they came from.
Fortunately, the problem is easy to remedy, whether it was an honest error or you were attempting to scam the system by optimizing for keyword clickbait.
5-Technical Error or Blank Page
If your bounce rate is unusually high and people are only staying on the page for a few seconds, it’s possible that your page is blank, producing a 404, or otherwise not loading correctly.
To mimic your audience’s experience, look at the page in their most popular browser and device settings (e.g., Safari on desktop and mobile, Chrome on mobile, etc.)

Fic Writer Questions!
@oddsocksandstuff tagged me in this, thank you so much, sweetie!  ❤️
 1) How many works do you have on AO3? I’ve got 40 so far (of which 25 are SPN fics). There’s more to come!
2) What’s your total AO3 word count? 486,667, apparently. That tells me each of my fics has an average wordcount of 12,166.675… Seems about right. I was never any good at keeping things short.
3) How many fandoms have you written for and what are they? Uhh… On AO3 I’ve written for Supernatural, Supernatural RPF, X-men (Cherik) and McFassy (James McAvoy/Michael Fassbender). But I’ve written a lot when I was younger that has never made it online, including NCIS, Pirates of the Caribbean, and lots of weird one-shorts starring everyone from Michael J. Fox to Kevin Sorbo from “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys”. 🤨
4) What are your top 5 fics by kudos? “A Lesson to be Taught” – an SPN Wincest pwp fic where a dominant Dean fucks (and spanks) Sam and they discover that Dean apparently has a daddy!kink. Comes with a photo manipulation too! There be dick.
“Taking Game” – a semi-dark medieval Cherik (Charles Xavier/Erik Lehnsherr from X-men) AU. Basically, Charles is a poacher hunting on king Erik’s land to his great dismay. And so, he’s captured and gets the choice between losing his life or serving the king for a bit… Dubcon and smut ensues.   “Only Like This” – a little SPN Wincest dub-con fic about hopelessly pining Dean doping Sam just so he can touch and kiss his oblivious little brother. It’s okay. Sam won’t remember when he comes to.   “It’s Only Carnal” – A dark SPN Wincest noncon fic where soulless!Sam needs to blow off some steam. And when it comes to carnal activities his brother isn’t exactly a novice – so why not use Dean’s body to make them both feel good?   “Demonized” – a long and dark af SPN noncon fic written in collaboration with the awesome @palishere. Sam is captured by some nasty demons who use him to lure in his brother. At first it seems the demonic scumbags are just really perverted and have a weakness for sexual torture, but they turn out to have ulterior motives…
5) Do you respond to comments, why or why not? Yes, always. I think it can be a bit demotivating for a reader to leave a comment and get zero response – and so, they might not bother to comment on the next fic. At least, that’s how I feel personally. And besides, I really want to let readers know that I appreciate them taking the time and effort to actually tell me what they think.
6) What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? Oufff… Seriously? How can I possibly pick just one when 99.8 percent of my fics are not only dark af but have gut-wrenching ambiguous endings as well? I, err… I’m gonna have to think really hard about this one, hold on… *Insert buzzing cicada sound*… Uhh… Well, I guess it might be… “Play or Pay” – a dark female!reader-insert Wincest fic where demon!Dean has you and Sam trapped somewhere underground. Sam ends up being on the receiving end of the demon’s cruelty when he tries to save you. Using Dean’s body the demon ends up raping Sam while the reader tries to escape to get help... There’s a little twist in the end. Loads of dead dove here, including death (not Dean or Sam).     “The Orange Hour” – where undercover inmate!Dean has to rape CO!Sam in order to save both of their lives and get them out of the jail in one piece. It doesn’t go completely as planned. (Comes with an nsfw photo manipulation).  “Demonized” – loads of bottom!Sam torture, full of hurt and absolutely no comfort... It’s just… I dunno, I think I and @palishere had a collective meltdown in the noncon and angst department. Sorrynotsorry.
8) Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written? Nope, I’ve never in my life written a crossover. Usually, I’m too laser-focused on 1 obsession at a time. I can’t multitask, okay?
9) Have you ever received hate on a fic? Yes, the fandom purity police has visited me on AO3. The usual self-proclaimed know-it-alls vomiting their bullshit all over the comment section about how “problematic” noncon is and how “sick” I must be. I thought about moderating comments for a while, actually – but I just deleted their follow-up comments until they left me alone. 😤
10) Do you write smut? If so what kind? Yes!! Gimme! Usually, I write noncon smut or just good ol’ pwps that feature some sort of dominance. That’s it. That’s my jam. In general, the only smut I don’t write is the cute, fluffy, feel-good, cuddly stuff… My smut’s usually pretty rough and/or some sort of dub/noncon.
11) Have you ever had a fic stolen? Yes. Someone stole “It’s Only Carnal” and posted it as her own on some Portuguese fanfiction site. She even replied to comments, answered questions and talked about how much she loved writing it, etc… Luckily a sweet mutual on Tumblr let me know about it and I reported her for plagiarism. The stolen fic was taken down shortly after and the account deleted. Goddamn thief. 😡
12) Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes. Honestly, I can’t remember which fic(s). But people have contacted me on AO3 and asked for permission to translate my stuff into Chinese. I have - of course - happily allowed them to. It’s such an awesome compliment to get, I think!
13) Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes, 2. “Demonized” and the fluffy Ficfacers prompt fic “The Masks We Wear” starring Sam and Dean taking their pranks a step too far. Basically, the brothers get angry with each other and they need to talk it out… No smut in this one, can you believe it?!! But that was kinda the prompt we received. The prompt was literally: “Sam and fluff”. Anyways, both fics are co-written with the lovely @palishere. You can find her AO3 here. 😊
14) What’s your all time favorite ship? Wincest!!! Definitely. Gimme all the brotherfucking, please. No contest. And coming in on second place I guess there’s Samifer – never paired consensually, though. I just love Lucifer messing with Sam’s head and torturing him in all kinds of cruel ways.
15) What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? Oh, that’s a mean question… I have a noncon WIP where Sam and Dean are in prison. I wrote a whole story outline, gathered my own little dictionary of prison slang, etc… But I never made it past page 10 or something. Sam was supposed to get jumped by a gang of inmates and then Dean was supposed to helplessly watch from the sideline, offering to trade places if they’d just leave his little brother alone… And after that it’s all about a mix of healing and vengeance… But the story has been lying on the shelf for more than a year and I doubt I’ll ever continue it. Oh, wait! I almost forgot – I have a long Cherik WIP sequel to “To Have and to Hold”! Just checked, its wordcount is 18,729! Holy crap…. What a waste, huh? But I honestly don’t think I’ll ever finish it, because I’m not into Cherik anymore. That ship has kinda sunk for me…. So, now I’m hyperfixating on Supernatural, yeah?
16) What are your writing strengths? Description, I think. I just love details and setting the mood. I like to think I’m pretty good at writing in English too even though it isn’t my native language… I wish to be better and expand my vocabulary but I’m doing okay nonetheless.
17) What are your writing weaknesses? Description, I think. Yes, you read correctly. I often describe things TOO much. Sometimes to the extent where the pacing gets so slowed down that I feel like the scene loses its ‘feel’. I don’t know if it’s just in my head, but that’s my major concern about my writing. That and my signature ambiguous endings, lol.
18) What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? Love it. It can be difficult to pull off, but if you get it right it can be magical. Just don’t overdo it and make sure that the reader can follow. I don’t think I have any fics online where I do it, but I’m not a complete stranger to it either.
19) What was the first fandom you wrote for? Ack, my poor brain trying to go back to when I was friggin’ 13… You know how many years ago that was?! 25!!! Okay!? *Huffs*…. Anyway, I THINK it might’ve been Keanu Reeves’ character in “Johnny Mnemonic”. Or maybe David James Elliott’s character as Harmon Rabb in the early seasons of “JAG”. I dunno. Either way this question makes me feel really old and I don’t appreciate it. Don’t @ me. 😅
20) What’s your favorite fic you’ve written? That’s probably a tie between “The Orange Hour” and “It’s Only Carnal”. They’ve both got nice pacing and that’s my biggest challenge, I think. Also, I love the whole Morse code thing in “The Orange Hour”. I don’t even know what happened or how I came up with it, but hey, I can surprise myself if I want to, I guess! And of course there’s the smutty noncon and all of the hurt… So, those two fics are my personal faves. 😏
I’ll tag @jackandthesoulmates, @pinkoptics, @palishere, @wrenseroticlibrary, @decadent-prince, @negans-lucille-tblr, @juinae and @impala-dreamer and everyone else who feels like doing it! Feel free to ignore, of course.

ghuleh, i haven't written fanfiction in a long time but i've fallen into the lov love real quick and wanted to write something shigaraki focused. the only problem is, i don't think the premise will interest anyone besides myself and well, half the fun of fanfiction is seeing people engage and enjoy the work, even if its self-indulgent. did you ever struggle with anything like that? Do you have any tips?
I have thoughts on this, probably too many, but my big bit of advice is: don’t worry about it! It’s probably not as big of a deal as you think!
Obviously, it’s hard to speculate without knowing the actual premise, but people love Shigaraki and want to read about him. They want to read about him suffering, or doing fluffy things. They want in-depth character studies and shameless smut and AUs of all kinds. They want cute relationships and problematic pairings. So, I think no matter what your premise, you’ll probably find an audience.
I have had those kind of insecurities though! I really had doubts about people being into the premise for Paper Skin because ‘you and Shigaraki fall in love while he silently rubs lotion on you’ felt a bit ridiculous, but it did okay. Same with Vers—I was worried I’d be alienating most people by switching between a f/m and m/m pairing in the same fic, but then it got a ton of love from my fellow enbies. I think it’s easy to think sometimes that maybe a premise hasn’t already been written because people aren’t into it, when really lots of people want it!
That audience still might be smaller, depending on the premise—a character study or rarepair fic probably isn’t going to do as well, on the whole, as some breeding kink reader insert and those are just the facts—but even then I think it’s as much about finding your audience as anything. If you’re on AO3 that means thorough tagging, and if you post on Tumblr there are blog networks that can help you promote your work. And I think ensuring writing quality also goes a long way. I don’t mean we all have to be Hemingway, but paying attention to characterization, and making sure you hit the basic checklist of good grammar, paragraph breaks, formatting the dialogue correctly, always helps. I’ll read anything Shigaraki if it’s well-written. A beta reader is obviously useful there, and can serve the added bonus of hyping you up so that at least one person is sending you tons of enthusiasm even if you only manage a smaller audience.
Also I’m real curious about the premise now anon, so assuming you’re 18+ feel free to DM if you wanna talk more specifics! Either here, or my Discord info is on my commissions page 🖤

okay I need your klance fic recs(i feel like you have really good taste)(i mean your icon is literally THE keith of course you have god tier taste)
okay so the thing is.. that when i say am kinda messed up and disgusting sometimes... and becoming a madwoman... am not over exaggerating or saying it in a funky way.. i actually am getting like that .. and that's how i got into the klance fandom initially. i project through lance and read really langsty fics.. and they are messed messed with like violent nsfw, gore, horror, serious mental health issues etc? so if u want those... i'll only send them if u want?
yeah tho i entered with this thingy that klance is gonna be like my guilty pleasure or some shit but them i inevitably fell in love with some GORGEOUS fanfictions out there and KEITH KOGANE in all shapes sizes genders and ages so lol...
but they aren't flowery. that's just not my taste. Some of them might be "problematic"? it's in quotes because i don't agree with it. it's not going to be problematic in plain ignorant sense like racial issues or blatant sexism or mental abuse.... but they might have like stuff which people dont always agree with like drugs. most of them would have nsfw it's just something that i need to have for feels and that's why i asked if u minded it. some things are like more subjective,, characterizations for example, cause like some people dont think keith is a skirt guy cause he isnt in fashion but i think he is petty and rebellious so he will defo do that? some of them would have like physical fights and stuff.. or keith and lance being mean to each other.. some ugly habits which aren't necessarily condemned like anger or drugs.? but with how i see it, it's not glorified, so i see them as human. i love the raw and ugly in these or idk its just human to me (but some people dont like which is completely valid cause we are all different from different environments and think different and resonate with different stuff.)
wait addition: i think some of them will have sexist themes? which i have complained about a lot before. i dont know why authors feel the need to somehow put women down to show how a mlm relationship without any women is superior or some shit it's annoying as fuck i hate it. i dont think i would have any especially sexist fics here, but there might be some with lowkey themes and bad handling of those issues. some of them mau have that subtext of disgusting heteronormative standards, but in subtext uk like bottom lance having a small waist and being giggly and all in contrast to big bulk keith.
here are some that i had bookmarked... but i may remember some more and then send them to u and or add them here...
a heads up.. i dont remember all of them very well. its been a while and i read fanfictions A LOT so yeah.. incase one slips up here which isnt very good am sorry dont judge me
the bold ones are the ones u should really check out if our taste is similar.
to begin with plain f l u f f,, my first klance bookmark was How Could I Say No? by Padfoots_Pawprint. tws for violence, bullying, injury BUT it's not actually gory or something like that it's just keith being keith and getting hurt and lance helping my boi like he should. it made me feeeeeeeel ksksk
this was one that kinda really touched me,, Wasted youth, Cryptids, and Waterboys by Baea THIS HAS EXPLICIT NSFW in it, the first chapter kicks off with it.. its a good fuck buddies to lovers in my opinion.. i love the writing style, the choice of how it's just a couple entries of random days in their lives. i love keith's characterization.. he is a hobo and a conspiracy nerd.. i love how down for him lance is, very dedicated. i love their growth.. i love how they help each other grow,, and it's so like real and usual day to day and human and down to earth idk how else to express it. this is INCOMPLETE. it's 12 chapters and discontinued as of now,, but it's not a deadly cliffhanger
similar in style and approach to the above. tho i think here is where it gets dubious. Easy, Tiger. by @/WhatTheBodyGraspsNot ... this is INCOMPLETE too and as of now discontinued. this has that sorta murky vibe with it's drug usage, them being teenagers in school and engaging in stuff like this, bad boy keith and all. this has nsfw too. i just remember really liking it and its very raw and unfiltered. tho it's incomplete it's not an open ending for now.
okay so i am restarting this but am upset as fuck that it all got deleted so i am gonna be lazy and not put as much effort as i did.
i have also Crowd Pleaser bookmarked by the same author,, this one's complete and it has some serious issues around gaslighting if i remember correctly... i really liked it then. keith is literally an angel here, i want to kidnap him and marry him literally. the s h w ee t e s t shit ,, and i like how lance gives him all the support and space to get his shit together
Drummer boy by klancekorner,, i think it's similar to the prev one, but lance's pov(which is what i prefer ngl). this authors fanfics are all just wholesome. i had put links to all their fics before, but imma now just say that u should go and check all their fics out. i have them all bookmarked, i must have seen something in them (can't remember what now tho and i cant be bothered to skim through them like last time *rolls eyes*)
War of hearts? idk why honestly, just ik keira has made me gay, and lesbian rejection angst? garrison? yes :) it's incomplete, conveniently left at the point where lance's heart is broken lol
Fuck buddies with benefits. THE NAME IS BAD I KNOW but i just love the idea of a dedicated mess of a keith and lance taking care of him. that's it that's the fic if i remember correctly. oh wait yeah u might think keith is not treating lance right, but i think it's fine if lance is treated a bit stupid. this is a bit too sex driven tho i dont like it but just SLEEPDEPRIVED KEITH TO TAKE CARE OF IMMA SIGN UP (ik this maybe coming off toxic but lol look at me)
Rambling: THIS WAS ME.
Last Defense: TW SUICIDE this is literally the langst i have for canon lance
I want something else: bad boy keith can break my limbs and cut my face and i will thank him
A thank you would be nice: keira damn
game-set-match: b a d b o y
I swear to go the devil made me do it: my typically fav trop, hardcore pining lance, literally perfect angsty keith. very similar to the top ones ig? idk also this one is one of my comparatively recent sane bookmarks so that's something. it starts off weird, u think it gon be subtly sexist but it turns out better so hold on
you've got me locked up: i think it's delinquent keith,, its floofy
Dad lance and tattoo artist keith: the name says it
damn while going through my bookmarks i realized that there are a lot of things i never bookmarked? i am pretty sure i loved a lot of long fanfictions, flower shop aus and tattoo artists shit wtf-
wait here's one, it's not complete: Blood jumps in the sun: it's very heavy has a lot of growth and kinda wholesome,, tags and summary will give u an idea what u getting in.
The lessons we learned: can't remember much other than florist keith, sad keith, smart keith, really long, pining
damn i think i have a lot of happy ones i didn't bookmark cause my brain was like u dont deserve the serotonin :( i'll add if i have more)
some actually angsty, detailed nsfw and messy (according to the way u interpret these) ones... lemoninagin.. they have some very detailed and explicit nsfw stuff but i am not there for it. some of it has the kind of angst i like? an actual one that i love and they recently posted and the reason am putting them here is infinitesimal. best friends to lovers and tho usually it's not my cup of tea.. it's a character study, an interpretation of klance in a modern world i dare say,, which is very similar to mine. the thing about them is that i like their characterization a lot, and in no love in this, i like what kind of background stories they give to klance in their aus. i haven't read many by them, so if u want u can check them out.
i just realized i have put some lowkey sad/fucked fics here... i did remove 5 rn... i hope its all good damn why am i doing this i feel like am putting myself naked out there when i recommend my favs

I mentioned this in the tags of one of my reblogs but my personal theory is that NH sent the hate message to themselves. The convenient timing of all this apparent hate showing up in the face of legitimate grievances reminds me of the whole "dreeming-r*yalty accused me of being a scammer" situation, in which everyone who wasn't outright kissing the asshole's boots suspecting himself as the culprit.
I can't fathom anyone going out of their way to be that awful or graphic over racism of all issues. And the fact that they had it at the ready tells me that they had this before, and was ready to use it at the slightest criticism, given the disparity between the topic addressed in the message and the topic they're currently under fire for.
So my theory goes as follows:
- NH was worried they'd be called out for something. Maybe someone threatened to make a post about them being racist.
-NH makes the burner account "horoscope whores", and opens up a new message to themselves via mobile (this is something that is very possible as I use this myself as a way to archive posts for later viewing)
- racism drama doesn't end up happening so they drop it
- alterhuman drama begins.
- maybe they couldn't find a way to delete their "damning evidence of harassment" in order to send a message more on-topic with current drama, or maybe they correctly figured that their brain-dead stans wouldn't be able to tell the difference, but they use this "evidence" anyway, once the drama reached a fever pitch.
- all for the sake of drawing attention away from their wrongdoings, a la dreeming-r*yalty. and its clearly working, when it comes to NH's stans, because none of them have an ounce of critical thinking skills and don't want to see their fave for the problematic bully that they are.
Thoughts?
I don’t think they sent it to themselves, because best guess, they have some 50k followers. When you’re that popular, breathing wrong in anyone’s direction brings on the hate. I’m actually just surprised that they were willing to blame anyone at all for it, because people see you make one wrong move and those who wouldn’t otherwise have a reason to bitch suddenly have an opening.
It’s the sort of “You took the last scone from someone on accident, they reported you, and the next thing you know the guy who hates your haircut and takes it personally is telling the administration you’re the sole reason for all the shoplifting they’ve been dealing with”. We were a scapegoat, someone took advantage of both parties to start a nice little war and then sat back with the popcorn.
The fact that they didn’t see this coming, despite running their blog for years, is the part that surprises me. I have probably 750 followers and I know that, because I’m not an idiot. I answered politely and I didn’t bitch until they called me worse than a fascist. They could’ve just asked, hey what the fuck, and I would’ve taken their side. The fact that they didn’t proves they never wanted to be in good faith with someone who had only ever shown them that he was acting in good faith himself.
I also don’t want to say they did this specifically to discredit valid accusations, but I can see where that’s coming from and can absolutely see how someone would draw that conclusion. I try not to assume malice, especially since they pointed out that me saying “Glad they’re getting their comeuppance” really looks like I was glad for the hate (and yeah, my bad), when in reality I was talking about the accusations coming to light and the community noticing now that it was blatant that they’re a terrible person. It sure doesn’t look that way, and if I want to claim the grace of assuming people know my intentions when things aren’t worded right, I ought to give them the same.
So it was probably just bad timing, but I don’t blame anyone for being wary. Recognizing patterns like this can save someone’s life, and maybe it’s a false flag this time, but next time it might not be. So we learn from this. All we can do.

you and billy are completely fucking right to talk about this shit. its important that people understand that things should be tagged properly. and also that people stop fetishizing incest and pedophilia. its fucked up and gross. its one thing to use it as a way to make the story more detailed and interesting, but if you straight up make it p*rnagr*phic (does tumblr not like that word) thats where its disgusting
I think especially with Stranger Things, you run such a risk of pedophilia because of the kids. Which is gross that we’re even running that risk. They are small children characters being played by small children actors. ESPECIALLY when shipped with an older character played by an older actor.
This is something I am so firm that I will NOT write.
The only time I have ever even alluded to this idea is when I mention Karen flirting with Billy in fics, but I straight up only do that to talk about how gross it is and to call her yucky because she IS. I HATE that it was part of the show. I HATE it.
I may also mention the kids being in relationships with one another. Kids date each other. That’s okay, and it’s normal, but I will NEVER write smut for two child characters played by child actors. Fucking NEVER.
A lot of people turn to fic to cope with trauma (me included!) but it’s important to understand that sometimes people come to fandom to seek shelter from trauma (me included!)
Sometimes fanfic is triggering, and as an author, you have to understand that and try to help people out by tagging your work, offering the correct trigger and content warnings, and being available to listen to people that want to have discussions about triggering and problematic content.
Be mindful that fandoms are full of thousands of folks with thousands of personal histories, and all kinds of triggers, and don’t make fandom a shitty place for others.
That’s why I put porn under the cut, I know some folks on here are uncomfortable with smut. That’s why I put panic attacks under a cut, sometimes reading about it can trigger someone.
I also know that you can’t tag for every possible trigger. Sometimes triggers are the most random, mundane things (I have a panic attack if I hear the song Dancing Queen. I could be reading the world’s fluffiest fic, but if that song is included, I can’t read it) but it is so easy to tag for things that are obviously triggering and harmful topics.
Like I said, I’m not perfect. I am not trying to get up on my little soapbox and preach like I’m the only one doing it right, I am NOT. Many people tag correctly, and don’t write stuff like incest and pedophilia, and sometimes I fuck up and don’t tag something correctly or neglect to put a cut, I just think that Billy made a lot of really great points in his post, and I like having conversations. I like learning and growing, and I wanna talk about things.
My messages are always open, come talk to me about these things.
Also, my anon is still open, so if you wanna send hate somewhere, send it to me, not Billy. (But really, don’t send hate anywhere. It’s not helpful in any situation. Please remember there are real people behind these urls.)
I hope everyone has a wonderful week.

As tagged by @themusicmoviesportsguy! Holy crap everyone, I ramble. Apologies!
rules: tag 9 people who you want to know better / catch up with and then answer these questions
TAGGING (I’m tagging more than 9 because it’s been a while): @derricklogan2, @dog-of-ulthar, @introspectivemeltdown, @maximiliani, @memetoilet, @mundi41, @myluckyerror, @neverwasastoryofmorewhoa, @plus-low-overthrow, @sadisticsunglasses @theybecomestories, and @voicetalentbrendan. Anybody else who wants to do this can do this as well!
last song: From the radio (yes, I listen to RADIO)... “Windy” by The Association. I’m historically terrible at getting lyrics correctly no matter the era or genre - I don’t remember the first time I ever googled a song’s lyrics, but I probably was very excited to correct myself. As might be very understandable in this instance, I thought this song was “Wendy” for a long time. But if the YouTube comments are to go by, more than a few Wendys like this song!
last movie: On a rewatch? The Three Caballeros (1944; my write-up from five years ago is in the link). It’s a fascinating film from its unabashed use of color, a very early melding of animation and live-action, Donald Duck lusting over human women (wouldn’t Daisy be jealous?), and the two charismatic co-leads in Jose Carioca and Panchito Pistoles. It’s no propaganda film, but I guess the movie did its job from preventing former Nazis and fascists from settling in Latin America to escape punishment for their deeds!
As a film completely new to me? Lone Wolf and Cub: Baby Cart at the River Styx (1972, Japan). It’s the second of a six-film series based on the manga Lone Wolf and Cub. I passed on writing a review for the first film, as I will for the rest of the series (at least for now). I’m not the biggest fan of the decision in samurai movies to have the blood spraying out of crumpling bodies like a pressure hose, but I see why this series appeals. Outside of The Mandalorian, I’m surprised that the Lone Wolf and Cub series hasn’t influenced more movies and television - the action scenes are strikingly staged from what I’ve seen so far (the first two films).
currently reading: When it comes down to a presidential election season, this sounds a bit sad, but this is usually the least likely time that I am reading any book for fun. The United States’ and Orange County’s handling of the pandemic has also contributed to this. So other than the numerous news articles and feature pieces, I’ve read several essays on certain films I’m writing on in the coming days. Thankfully (or unfortunately depending on how you see it), there has been a lot written about Elvis movies - the good, the bad, and the mediocre. There’s a lot of mediocre Elvis movies. I’m gonna need help soon from classic Bollywood-knowledgeable friends, though.
currently watching: If you’re reading this, I’m sure you’re pretty tired of the Gargoyles and Gravity Falls spam on this blog in recent weeks. My sister and I finished both recently and I am attempting to complete both series’ summer run in the queue on August 31. After that, both will appear more sporadically. I think the best thing for GF is to cycle it in the queue every summer, similar to how I restrict certain Peanuts specials to a specific part of the year (and how I mostly restrict Over the Garden Wall’s appearances on this blog to autumn, especially October). But that’s the recent past.
Right now, two extremely different animated series. The first is The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (thank you to my friend for sharing her Disney+ account). My sister and I haven’t seen the series in ~20 years, and I was curious to see if it has held up. I think, as an extension of the original Disney Winnie the Pooh films and A.A. Milne’s works, it’s exceptionally respectful to young children and the parents that would presumably be watching with them. That’s hard to do. For a late ‘80s/early ‘90s series, the backgrounds are drop-dead gorgeous and you can tell Disney threw a lot of money at this series. The other TV series is Star Trek: Lower Decks. We’re only three episodes in, so no judgments from me yet... I don’t understand people who base their television criticism based on less than half a season.
Currently sitting in the DVR awaiting to be completed is The Little Colonel (1935), starring Shirley Temple, Lionel Barrymore, and Bill “Bojangles” Robinson. This is the film with the famous staircase dance between Temple and Robinson* (who struck up an interracial, intergenerational friendship that lasted until Robinson’s death). Given all the problematic films that are featured on this blog, I’m just curious why I haven’t been cancelled yet.
* Yes, I linked the black-and-white original. I fucking refuse to promote colorized prints of black-and-white films for reasons of artistic integrity (unless the colorization was done in consultation/with the approval of the principal creative figures... the instances of which are close to zero).
currently craving: If you can call a trip to the movie theater a craving, sure! Though it may be a craving, California won’t be letting those open for a while. And I don’t feel safe going to a theater upon reopening. It probably will be many months - maybe *shudder* a year - at the rate things are going.
working on anything rn?: *deep breath* These are almost all long-term things...
Thinking about a career pivot.
An extremely informal consultancy gig I’m doing with an old professor of mine on a documentary film she is spearheading.
Continued archiving of all My Movie Odyssey reviews onto Google Drive (this has stalled lately due to the above). The archiving is being done in the hopes of launching a parallel blog in 2021 (WordPress? something else?) which would contain only my movie reviews - this tumblr would remain (and the reviews will still be posted here) for as long tumblr is a viable medium to attract a new reader or two.
Making mental notes about how to approach this blog’s next marathon (“Women Make Film” - Tuesday evenings from Sept. 1-Dec. 1).
In October, I’ll start making preparations for the preliminary rounds of the 2020 Movie Odyssey Award for Best Original Song. Of course we’re doing it again!
And of course, the Movie Odyssey write-ups.
currently playing: Nothing at this moment, but I do admit having a Civilization VI phase in recent months (I suck and barbarians stress me out - yes I know you’re supposed to take out the scout ASAP). That may or may not pick up again.

The End of the F***ing World
I Am Not Okay With This
Sex Education
Stranger Things
The Walking Dead
ps wow that is a BASIC list can u tell i dont watch a lot of tv

oof probably tony??? runner up alyssa’s mom?? and also i have bad vibes ab teri but tbh i forget what (if anything) she did in s2 so maybe i am being too judgmental lol
what is your favourite episode of 4?
oh GOSH probably has to be the snow ball i mean come on
what is your favourite season of 5?
literally the amount of times ive jumped in and out of this show is hilarious and i really know nothing about the overarching storylines so lets go....... whatever one where rick goes rick crazy and bites out a guy’s jugular. i looked it up and there are so many separate google suggested searches along the lines of “episode where rick bites guys neck” and i m not sure how to feel about this??? anyway apparently this was season 4???????? I didn't even think i showed up watching this show till at least like s5 but what the heck the verdict says im EXCESISVLEY OLD!!!!! this must've been one of the first eps i watched and i mean who doesn’t love a good man ripping out somebody’s jugular. i looked thru the s4 wiki and yeah, i actually remember a fair amount of the later eps so this must've been the season i started watching. checks out.
who is your favourite couple in 3?
ugh TOSSUP adam/eric (yes i recognize why some ppl find it problematic but i think they’re growing and im hoping the best for them) vs. ola/lily 2 FAB duos
but oh gosh im actually gonna say adam/eric bc come on from the very first episode of the entire show i was onto that dynamic and its very satisfying to see them start embracing it and growin up and changing and to see how they deal with lots of heavy stuff and keep coming back to this strange and evolving bond

L o L see my above obsession with rick going rick crazy. i literally use the phrase rick crazy irl thanks to that
what is your favourite season of 2?
SIKE there’s only 1
how long have you watched 1?
i just found it last year actually very close to this time of year.... we’re probably coming up on just about a year of me loving every second of it
how did you become interested in 3?
i actually was very wary of watching it because i just didn’t know if i’d like it that much or if it would be the kind of humor im into i was raised fairly religious (now much more questionable on that front but still sort of involved in the whole thing??) and i just didn’t know if it would be my thing but after i LOVED TEOTFW my pal kept telling me to try sexed, its similar (eeeehhhh idk if its that similar lol???), etc and like i said at first i was skeptical but for some reason one time i decided i’d watch it and zoink its fabulous
who is your favourite actor in 4?
oh millie bobby brown
which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5?
1 always fave show ever
which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3?

The Blocklist: A essay (this is very long)
I know everyones sick of it at this point but I got shit to say so feel free to not read this absolute unit of a poorly written essay. The jjbablocklist divided their list into two different list now. One for creators and one for consumers/rebloggers and I cannot stress enough about how dumb that is since it shouldve been done since the beggining. Also, following alot of these artist and “consumers” of these medias, I noticed some of them are falsely accused, others while being minors. here’s why:
1. A lot of teens and young adults in the community like ships like GioMis, FuMis, NaraGio, MisTrish and plenty more and I know your singular shared braincell cannot handle the idea of 2-3 year age gaps not being pedophilia, but uh, newsflash for ya, THEY AINT. Legally, it is not a crime and that in america where the age of consent is 18, not in Italy where its 15 and not in Japan where its even less. Under the general United States Law, which is where I assume the list makers/defenders are mostly from, these ships are not classified as pedophilia or should be problematic and the ages of consent change to lower ages depending on state. The only way you can add these shippers for their “crimes” is if they promoted or created the interactions of these characters in a sexual or intimate manner whether they are aged up or not, which is still wack if their age is above that of the age of consent in writing/art and the fact that minors, in this case teenagers with the VA cast, are allowed to express themselves with people of their own age group in a sexual manner, real life kids do it all the time amongst themselves so why shouldnt people be able to create it, the whole ordeal is ridiculous imo BUT I can see how it makes a lot of people uncomfortable, a lot of it makes me uncomfortable too so we gotta make compromises somehow so absolutely no lewding the mafia lolis/ jojo lolis in general and if you do, tag it properly so it doesnt spread onto the basic hastags of characters and the show. If you dont you on the list.
2. Claim genderswapping/r63 is transphobic all you want but until I see clear and definitive proof of it being purposely made for that purpose then it’s absolutely ok. If someone makes it to offend someone then its wrong and they should be called out for it (which has never been the case in this fanbase as far as I cant tell) It’s creative, it allows people create new desings for characters or adjust current ones for cosplayers or other artist. Im sure one of your mods can relate, since the do the exact same thing as we do while not addressing a certaint character properly by their canon pronouns. Genderbending does not promote the attack or harrasement of the trans community and that is a fact unless its done by actual problematic artist like Sh*dbase and others, which is still a stretch because I dont think they’ve done it to target people or make fun of them but they are the popular problem icons. So get the actual transphobes on the list, aka those who created the content specifically to harras a specific person, or remove the catergory entirely. Its unnecessary and hypocritical.
— The rest of these are just things that bother a lot of people in the community so if you only cared about minors being on the list then you dont have to continue reading. —
Tumblr is infamously known to be a shitshow of a site where all you can find is problematic content. If you dont like this kind of content, why the hell are you here in the first place? There’s a lot of safer websites to use where like instagram, twitter, amino, facebook, and more. They have actual filters unlike tumblr and finding content you dont like is a lot harder unless you are purposefully looking for it, and even then it could be a challenge due to shadow bans or privatized accounts. Tumblr has none of that, everyone knows it, all of those who dont like it try to stay away from it or use it very scarcely. Why do you think that most of these “problematic” artist/creators/consumers are here? Tumblr has always been its own weird realm, trying to make it anything else goes against what it stand for.
You’re crimes make are literal nonsense sometimes because you include such obvious personal attacks like “Made a literal essay defending GioMis” and “All kinds of awful stuff” as crimes. You added a few account because they message you about how ridiculous the whole ordeal is and you take to findind the slightest bit of “evidence” that can aid you into making them look bad. You know thats not a good reason right?? Even if it were, yall are even more guilty for committing acts of Liable and Defamation and you are choosing to for those you incorrectly put on the list, invluding the minors! Let alone hypocrisy but yall are tired of hearing that one.
Dont add other fandoms into this mess. The Hetalia fandom has been dead for more than 5 years and it aint none of your buisness. It has nothing to do with Jojo. Unless you plan on making more blocklist for ALL fandoms then, goodluck, though make em better.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a wonderful and yet problematic series, guess who’s fault it is... its Araki’s. Created a hilarious nazi character, nah its the fanbases fault for roleplaying such a funny character. Pedophilia and rape represented in Jojo and not treated seriously, nah its the fandoms fault for romanticizing it. Homophobia as character traits and degradation of women in Jojo, pfft nah f a n d o m s f a u l t for painting such “false” representations of the characters. Ah, but yall wont drop Jojo cuz that kid your trying to control media for wont drop it either. It is not your responsibility to create a childproof community when the show already has heavy themes. Its their caretakers/parents or the childs own responsibility.
I despise the argument “well Jojo is a 17+ only show so no kids allowed!” you might be right, but has that really ever stopped kids from doing anything?? It does the opposite, it creates a sense of overwhelming curiosity which leads to venturing unkown territory which they may or may not end up enjoying. The problem lies wether young teens are mature enough to watch it or not and judging by this whole fiasco, alot of the people, teens and adults, involved are not.
YOU ARE NOT JUDGE JURY AND EXECUTIONER AND YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO POLICE A MEDIA YOU DO NOT OWN OR TAKE RESPONSIBILITY INTO DOING IT FOR SOMEONE ELSE
I will give you this guys this, theres a few artist and creators that do belong there, very few as far as I could see and read into and some are missing since they are mostly on twitter instead of tumblr. But hey, I managed to find like 12 accounts that I probably wouldn’t like seeing the content of, and I found a lot of good accounts too. A hell of a lot more.
I know Im harsh and a total loser but y’all really gotta do some damage control and think ahead. Merely ignoring the fact that your movement cause a floodwave of hatred, deaththreats and suicide baiting is disgusting, adress it properly, dont condone it. Cuz Im yall wouldnt like 200+ messages of “Kill yourself you of lowlife degenerate. I dont like your the disgusting trash you like so I hope you rot in hell for the rest of your life” It isnt fun, a lot of people have received these, some are even worse and a lot dont even deserve it.
Run the list correctly, its a good idea, it could’ve been handled way better than this and you guys know it. This would’ve been great for 14 year old me not stumbling onto a lot of problematic ships when I first looked up Jojo and it can help many children in the community in the future, but you are ruiling out a majority of the fanbase with such vague and pointless rules as regular shipping and creative freedom. You are demonizing people who like basic shipping and different character desings, and that’ll scare them because they dont want tobe hated for something they like. Because a few biased opinions decided to rule out that what the kids liked is morally wrong and irredeemable. Cuz thats all I can see on the list with the exception of maybe a 12 people on the list. Thats all the rest of the JJBA community sees.
