Eren lied to Floch. Floch died in vain. Bastard Eren.

Hard disgree anon. While even lied and manipulated Floch like he did Zeke, Eren had virtually no involvement in the Jaegarist movement, he was in Marley and left Floch in charge of Jaegarism. Floch was the man on the ground, Floch is the reason thay Jaegarism gained so much support so quickly, and Floch is the reason that Eren got as far as he did.

Floch's death wasn't supposed to be a grand, meaningful gesture, few in aot do. His death was symbolic of his devotion and dedication, how much he dedicated his heart to his cause. Floch, despite bleeding out from a gunshot wound the entire time, clung to a boat for the entire journey and still managed to nearly kill one of his enemies (which I have thoughts on beyond the scope of this post).

Flochs death proved that he wasn't a grifter, for lack of a better term. He wasn't in it for fame or glory or even survival. He joined because he genuinely believed in the cause he fought for and, at the end of the day. Floch was the leader of the Jaegarists for all practical reasons, Eren was just the inspiration. The God to his Pope.

When Eren Jaeger planned the escape from his prison, he ensured you, as one of the most loyal of Jaegerists, would be integral in arranging the rendezvous. He knew you would be watching, ready at the planned mouth of the tunnel his underground escape route would take, to lead him to Floch and the others. And so he knew there would be no rush; so he silenced your nervous whisperings with kisses, there in the precarious channel of dirt and roots. He had you there on the ground with no hurry to close up the path with crystals yet. Even though the explosions from the city had been visible from your hiding spot in the forest and shaken the trees with ominous tremors, he took his time with caresses, kisses to your neck, your thighs, between them. When you whispered your fear anxious fear of being followed through fingers knit over your mouth, he’d had a thin smile, pulled your hands away from your lips, and kissed them again. “Then we have to make you come before anyone else can.”

Your breath catches and he murmurs the question, you nod without hesitation. He toys at your waistband to enter you just like that, your hands splaying, completely abandoning attention to anything you had been doing before. He holds your shoulders, runs his hands down your back, and grabs you with a strength that pushes your stomach down as your back arches and your lips break in a high cry. What he loves the most is when you crane your neck back, desperately turn, and he can see in your eyes just how much you’re feeling good. Q for Quickie [How would they have sex if they’re in a hurry?]

Sometimes, you can see Floch approaching the rundown shacks or tents you make your hurried nightly stays, and you try to swat Eren’s hands away from your waist with hissing whispers. It doesn’t matter if he’s just alighted his touch on your body, if layers of clothes aren’t even disrupted – if he’s started, he won’t stop just because of a knock at the door. He’ll call out in irritation, that it’ll just be a minute, and then he keeps going with insistence – his tongue tracing your body, kisses that steal your oxygen and leaving your head dizzy as your muscles clench for him. He keeps his hold on your hips and runs his tongue on your neck when he enters you, refusing to offer a hand to silence your whimpering as Floch stands on the other side of the wall. “He’s going to hear you. Fic Fact - Hange and the Jaegerists

This hasn’t been mentioned so far but it’s going to be so I thought it best to give a little bit of context.

In my fic Against All Odds, Hange is incredibly protective of their lower back and refuses to let anyone except Levi see it and for a very specific reason that broke Levi’s heart when he learned about it.

When the Jaegerists were trying to find out where Levi had taken Zeke, they tried to force Hange to give up his location. Hange refused and retorted that they would never betray their partner and endanger his life by giving up the secret. Floch did not like this stubbornness and, as a result, ordered that the 14th Scout Regiment Commander be “coerced into cooperation by force.”

This resulted in Hange being branded with the word “traitor” across their lower back and two of their back teeth on either side of their mouth were removed. Hange still didn’t break after this, and only gave in once Shadis was beaten and when Floch threatened the life of Alex, Hange’s beloved younger brother.

this fandom does make me laugh a little because i’ll see someone analyze a scene to hell and jump through so many hoops to prove/disprove ships using so much critical thinking and media literacy skills and then turn around and completely miss the hardly even underlying themes and messages that the story is trying to convey

idk if isayama is actually a fascist since i can’t find anything substantial to back up all the claims about him but in any case attack on titan is an extremely good litmus test to see how susceptible people would be to fascist propaganda. the answer is: Very susceptible. the state of geopolitics makes a lot more sense when you see just how many people will bend over backwards to justify genocide and mass murder

Wait if Eren couldn’t see into the future past his death, what would’ve happened if the saviours pulled up to what was left of Paradis and were killed on site by the Jaegerists?

Killing 80% of humanity to secure a free, happy future for your friends is a MASSIVE gamble if there’s a real chance the Jaegerists were just going to kill ‘em straight away.

Can you imagine if they rocked up to Paradis and just got immediately shot?
