If injuries allow a shifter to shift, but we’ve only seen external injuries work, what level injury does it have to be?

If blood has to spill, what if there’s mass internal injury but nothing outside the body.

Like if someone’s internal organs bleed from an impact and there’s bruising, swelling, but no external blood, can they not shift??

What if they bonk their head really bad and get a concussion and a brain bleed but no external scrapes?

What if they burst a blood vessel in their eye so the white goes red, but it’s still in the eyeball. You can see the blood, same as you can with a bruise, but it isn’t technically external because the blood is still trapped in the body.

What if they slam their thumb in a door and there’s blood but its beneath the nail and looks like one of those black bloody bruises but no blood is spilled?

I want answers from the lore. it’s for scientific purposes I swear.

I love stupid lil questions like these.

1) I can totally see Erwin being a classic oldies lover. I think he would watch old movies though like Casino, Goodfellas or The Green Mile instead of TV shows.

2) I can see Eren buying overpriced “workout” foods like the fitness bars and drinks. Insanely overpriced and are not even that healthy but he believes in it. $17 for a workout drink and two boxes of protein bars lol.

3) Bertoldt all the way. Man never takes the tennis off.

4) Ooooh that’s a tough one!! I think that would fit both Erwin and Miche, but Miche seems like such a gentle giant, I can see him being more of an animal lover. He would find it relaxing to have some animal friends outside.

Jean Kirschtein Simp Post

I love Jean Kirschtein. He had me in the palm of his hand from the moment he challenged Eren for being a suicidal maniac (AND HE WAS RIGHT!!!), and when he debuted in s4, he was basically my husband.

Bless his s4 visuals because he didn't need to look this good, like damn.

Again, Jean calling out Eren for for constantly attempting suicide as well as being irresponsible in his fights got me from the get-go. I watched Eren be irresponsible and I watched everyone else applaud him for being courageous but I don't think they understood that Eren already had little to live for, so it wasn't courage. It was the only option. Eren was fearless for the most part. Jean telling him he's suicidal and irresponsible was refreshing, and it showed that Jean had a better head on his shoulders than most of their cohorts.

Actually, this plays into what Marco told Jean - that he'd would make a good leader. It's because Jean is aware of his surroundings and makes good use of it. Eren on the other hand, bites off more than he can chew then lets his friends clean up his mess. That's why they clash. Jean sees how things can be handled with the least amount of casualties, and Eren fights. And even then, Jean ends up growing up and moving past things with Eren till s4, when Eren becomes a problem again.

Additionally, I love the way Jean loves. Openly, honestly, wholeheartedly. Now, he's a smart man, so he knew not to mess with a girl clearly in love with someone else, but you could see how openly he'd loved Mikasa if they'd gotten together. Like he'd be giddy and happy all the time - because he has the girl he wants. Also, loyalty? Seven years after they met and he was still fantasising about her.

Also Jean can cook. That's just chef's kiss, no pun intended. I love me a man that can cook. And I know he, Connie and Sasha were swapping recipes over the years. They had a ball in the kitchen if Sasha didn't eat everything.

I say this in every post as well - but his friendships with Connie and Sasha humanised him. They matched his energy and took his ass down a peg or 10. They were the siblings he didn't have, but needed. Like you can't tell me he's just some vain/arrogant guy when he has the capability of having deep relationships with others like what he had with Connie and Sasha. I'll this again as well - Sasha never went a day not knowing that Jean and Connie had her back.

But yeah, seeing him go from this arrogant little teenage shit, to a capable man was a sight to behold. All his dreams were crushed and he changed course. He wanted to be best best, and he ended up being one of the best (can't beat Annie and Mikasa). His friend that hyped him up the most? Dead - titan vomit. The girl he loved? In love with someone else. Becoming military police? A waste of his skills in light of the real fight being with the titans. The high rise apartment? Probably still a possibility, but when do they actually live in their homes as soldiers? Jean had some of the best character development I've seen in fucking ages.

One of the things I resonated with the most was the fact that he kept fighting. He kept moving forward. Even when he'd cover his ears and fantasise about his high rise apartment in Wall Sheena with Mikasa and their child - he'd get up and deal with reality. Do you know how fucking hard that is? When you have a real and genuine fear of what life is, and you still get up to face it - that's true courage. That's something I'll admire till the day I die.

Now that we're done talking about his personality, let's talk looks because his s4 visuals were absolute fucking crack. I don't know what Isayama put into his visuals, but he did it right. Honestly everyone looked great but due to my attraction to Jean, he looked even better. The mullet he'd slick back? Just his looks in general? Absolute fucking crack, and I am just an addict. Jean is the full package. The full fucking package.

I have this headcanon (basically a modern au) that he likes expensive cologne and has a somewhat meticulous grooming routine. He cooks a lot, and it's like French restaurant quality, but he'll never forget his humble omurice roots. As an individual, he's cool and respectful, but it's always chaos with Connie and Sasha. He's a private person and excels in his dedicated career/job, and be he loves openly. He doesn't hide who he loves or that he loves them. Like, he's a person at the end of the day, but just a really cool one. Also he's responsible.

Anyway yeah, Jean Kirschtein is perfection incarnate and I stand by that.

Killing 80% of humanity to secure a free, happy future for your friends is a MASSIVE gamble if there’s a real chance the Jaegerists were just going to kill ‘em straight away.

Can you imagine if they rocked up to Paradis and just got immediately shot?

this is a really good question and it’s definitely getting addressed in one of the upcoming chapters. But even after all this time, Eren really doesn’t feel as though his dad can be trusted. He’s caused him a lot of grief when he was younger and never made a ‘real’ effort to say sorry for it. Just begging him to come back home and making it seem as if he’d never survive without his money. Now that Eren has become EJ and is far more successful than he ever was, Grisha believes that he’ll just forgive him (he’s one of those people that believes time is an apology, which it is not.) To this day, Eren struggles to cope with a lot of the stuff he put him through and thankfully, no one, not even his mom has ever pressured him to reconnect. Truthfully, as cold as it may be, Eren really doesn’t see a need for his dad to be around and he’ll tell anyone he doesn’t really exist to him. He has his mom, (Y/N), all of his friends and even his grandparents. He doesn’t feel as though he’s missing anything by not having a relationship because they weren’t close to begin with.

Hmmm, did you have anything to inquire about specifically (?) because, like most of my AoT musings it can go one of one hundred ways.

Like, canon compliant 100% Eruri versus bending canon slightly (Erwin survives) or fully removing them from their tragic universe to make Levi -checks notes- a janitor at a high school where Erwin teaches.

I think depending on the setting they could be anywhere from Disney levels of slow burn with a passionate kiss at the end (when they stop being losers and confess to one another) or they have this quiet burning passion that builds until it erupts and they can no longer deny it, let alone stop themselves from drawing together like a powerful magnet clacking loudly as the pieces make contact.

I'm terrible at broad questions so I'll just hone in on one for now. I'll go with canon, picking up from ACWNR, in that their relationship is curious and strained for a while (he submits, follows orders and is loyal but there's something budding and Levi isn't sure what it is yet or why), especially after Isabel and Furlan. Levi is likely in the slow process of coming to terms with his feelings, likely unbeknownst to him. He wants to be mad at this man, but he simply can't bring himself and it is wildly confusing to him. (He figures it out eventually and it's more than sexual!)

I've mentioned briefly here and there that in Erwin's academy days, he realized all on his own he had caught feelings for Nile, but neither of them really made a move, so that ship sailed. I think Erwin was acutely aware of his budding feelings for Levi, but again he was hesitant to act on it, despite being surer of himself and secure in his sexuality, albeit it more inwardly. I feel like he (Erwin) wanted to wait it out, let Levi's trust grow in him, and to figure out if Levi was even interested in men even, in him, or anyone at all.

The ever-divisive man he was, I think Erwin at some point was playing 4D chess to get this man into his bedroom, which wasn't hard. Finding out about Levi's unusual sleep and Erwin being up late working on his duties (paperwork) or up with a guilty conscience, the two of them spent plenty of nights in Erwin's office, so much so it eventually became their office.

That's a Lot of words and none of them are sexy, I apologize so let me just try to jump to the point. Canon Eruri likely was having (at the start and for the most part) rough and random escapades. Almost always in their office, that desk has seen better days. It's not like they really have the luxury nor the time for them to be all sensual about it. A lot of their dynamic is built around urgency and a need for release. They cope by taking each other's minds off of things the one way they know how, by being as close physically as two people can get.

After missions when Erwin is tense, the weight of the men he's lost to another expedition, the copious amounts of paperwork he has to bullshit in an effort to appease the higher ups that their losses were for naught. Levi is acutely aware of what makes Erwin tick at this point. He wordlessly rises from his seat and goes over to massage the knots out of Erwin's tense shoulders. He often has to coax him to give it a rest, often taking the hands-on approach. I can definitely see him robbing Erwin of his quill and taking his ink pot away moving it to the nearby shelf.

On more frustrated days, Erwin would just knock all the papers off of his desk in one fell swoop and hoist Levi up dropping him onto the table's surface. I see them waltzing into their office and Levi using Erwin's body as leverage crashing into the door frame to close it shut. You get the picture. Urgency. My mind is a mess, let's get partially undressed. (As to not get caught, think they often make do and likely end up fucking fully clothed. They learn quickly what does it for one another and like the calculated men they are can probably have a decent orgasm in record time.)

I think there are fewer times, but it has happened) they can make it to their bed and carefully undress one another. It's rarer, but it happens. It's different, I think by this point they are both fully smitten with one another, but I don't know that either of them has really ever Talked about it. Levi's idea of saying I love you is threatening to break his legs. Stay, I beg of you is what he means. For Erwin it's always in those intense knowing gazes and how only in the presence of Levi does he ever let his guard down and he has this boyish charm, like anything could happen, with his wit and Levi's brute together they birth a passion not stable enough for this world to handle.

If you want the perfect window into what canon Eruri could be if given the time and space to live out their "what ifs" I have this fanfic I highly recommend. It's beautifully written and it was entirely inspired by 2 cans of beer. I didn't write it, but it perfectly encapsulates the world I envision for them.

So I started binging InuYasha lately and spoiler warning

Actually fucking horrified by the amount of people in the fandom who think shipping Sesshomaru with Rin is ok. Like Yashahime… certainly exists but what in the actual hell. Sesshomaru started letting Rin travel with him when she was like anywhere from 6-10 based on her character design and personality; and I’m supposed to believe that him dropping her off in Kaede’s village (and still sending her gifts and checking in while she grows up mind you) only to later marry and have children with her when she’s 16-18 is ok????? Whoever decided that that was something that should happen should be put in fucking jail I don’t care. And no one even try to argue that “they’re soulmates” or “it’s not grooming they fell in love!” because shut the fuck up, Rin talks about wanting to be with him forever when she’s literally a small child and he hears this. An adult deciding to persue a relationship with that kind of inherent power dynamic even if that person becomes “of age” is disgusting. The twins are cute but people who ship Sesshomaru and Rin need to be booed out of existence. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
