a crazy msb idea hear me out:

the magic school bus? not real. miss frizzle’s field trips? all in your head.

eight kids on a school bus field trip get into a crash on their way to their destination and fall into a nine month coma — or so they’re told. they don’t question it when they wake up in the hospital and are told as such.

years later, these kids start realizing their stories are matching up, their teacher is reappearing in town, and perhaps the magic school bus is real. the questions now are what really happened that day, who’s trying to keep the truth from them, and why.

More MSB headcanons

-Phoebe and Wanda know karate, though Phoebe is a red belt and Wanda is a black belt.

-the only members of the gang that do play instruments are Phoebe (saxophone), Wanda (trombone and guitar in high school), and Keesha (clarinet)

-Coming from the chapter books, Carlos is a rock geek (but doesn’t join GRANITE until 6th grade), and Ralphie has a hobby in photography (he tries to show his mom pictures of the field trips he’s been, but Dr. Tennelli isn’t convinced)

-Wanda and Keesha are in the same ballet class, though the gang makes sure no one knows that Wanda likes and does ballet after an incident involving Janet

-Wanda is the only member of the gang to have some scuba diving experience (as shown in “Ups and Down” where she was wearing her own wetsuit and swim fins)

-Phoebe absolutely loves The Little Mermaid, and the field trips where the gang swim in the ocean would be her favorites
