Money laundering fugitive turns into baby and lives as his adult brother's adopted child to hide from the FBI, while starting a secret company disguised as a specialty mayonnaise parlor should not be a real show. Why is this a show. Who's idea was any of this?

Do you prefer pre or post heath ledger jokers in the live action movies? I feel like there's a pretty clear dividing line in their characterization and frankly I wish that we could bring a little of the goofiness back to the big screen.
truly I think Mr. Ledger's performance, while excellent, has done irreparable damage to the Joker as a character, at least in movie adaptations. obviously he didn't invent the Joker being an edge lord, everyone please direct your attention to his dead baby throne in the Killing Joke all the way back in 1988 and also the plot of the Killing Joke and Death in the Family in general, but god it's really been downhill in the movies ever since the Dark Knight, mainly because I think every subsequent creative team is TERRIFIED of being perceived as not taking the character seriously.
the result is Jared Leto's fucking incomprehensibly uninteresting and unfunny performance in Suicide Squad and whatever the fuck is happening with Barry Keoghan, which is a shame because The Batman (1989) and the Batman: the Animated Series both understood that taking the Joker seriously does not mean stripping him of the goofs but rather that letting him be loud and slapsticky and fucking weird is part of the shtick, to really great effect and without making him any less menacing. it can be done, everyone making movies now is just a coward.

Some Mouse House news today. One story is true, the other *might* be true.
Tumblr media
Today, Sean Bailey steps down as head of Walt Disney Pictures. The studio of Disney's massive film division that does all the live-action movies, and in some cases, animated tech demos that look like real-life simulations. Ya know, THE JUNGLE BOOK (2016) and THE LION KING (2019)?
He singlehandedly ushered in the whole remake craze (on top of saying some very weird and obtuse things about the animated classics they are largely based on), whilst trying to launch new franchises out of over-budgeted risky movies, and suffice to say? I'm more than happy that his replacement is Searchlight Pictures' David Greenbaum.
Greenbaum will now lead a combined Disney Live-Action/20th Century Studios effort, while Matthew Greenfield continues to lead Searchlight. This is a very smart move I feel, as Searchlight were usually quite good with budgets. They greenlit several outre and unique movies. Most recently Yorgos Lanthimos' POOR THINGS, which I loved. In the weirdest sense, and you'll probably think I've lost the plot in saying this, but... The $35m hard R-rated sci-fi black comedy with plenty of sex scenes felt more in the spirit of "Disney" - creative, game-changing, and bold - than a lot of the titanic-budgeted seemingly-noted-to-death movies released under the mainline "Disney" name in the recent years... That's quite something!
(Maybe it's just something of a shock to see a movie simply made by a FILMMAKER come out Disney. After all, when Walt Disney saw TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD in 1962, he was floored by the film and lamented... He wish his studio could make a picture like that.)
So yeah, as you can tell, I'm thrilled with this move. I feel that the output of the "Live-Action" end of Disney hasn't really been for me for a long time, creatively, and maybe Greenbaum will course-correct. Take a chance on different filmmakers, let them come in and make a really cool movie that isn't buckled under notes and mandates that attempt to make the proceedings "more Disney" - whatever that means. Less things like ARTEMIS FOWL and LION KING and this TRON-in-name-only sequel with Jared Leto, more stuff like the first PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN and assorted smaller movies. These things don't have to be $150m+ behemoths, either.
This move has been a long-time coming, I feel, especially after the film division lost money on HAUNTED MANSION and live-action LITTLE MERMAID, in addition to seeing diminishing returns elsewhere.
(And hey, on the off chance... Maybe we can see another Muppets movie get off the ground, haha.)
Sooo... As for the other piece of news...
Tumblr media
Apparently Pixar is working on a movie called DUCKS.
And it's a full-blown musical, too... A first for Pixar...
Right now, this is all coming out of the rumor mills and I feel it should be taken with a grain of salt. Much like that soccer movie set in Barcelona that they were supposedly developing around 2018.
What's interesting is that a locked Facebook account and a locked Twitter account have been made for a "Pixar Ducks" thing. So maybe... Yeah... Maybe DUCKS is a movie in the works at Pixar. Or it's a short.
Some have pointed out that this news arrives a little after the release of Universal/Illumination's animated duck romp MIGRATION, which brings up the pairs of yore: A BUG'S LIFE and ANTZ, FINDING NEMO and SHARK TALE, RATATOUILLE and FLUSHED AWAY, the ill-fated NEWT and RIO... But really, sometimes great minds think alike. Remember how we had three animated movies about Sasquatches/yetis from September 2018 to September 2019? SMALLFOOT, MISSING LINK, and ABOMINABLE?
Sometimes it just happens...
I've also noticed people saying "Wait a minute, what about COCO? Wasn't that a musical?"
Tumblr media
COCO, when it was coming out, was carefully described as a movie that was about music, not so much a "musical". I don't see COCO as a "musical", myself.
You see, I feel musicals inhabit a heightened reality of their own. Typically, in musical movies, when characters start singing, everything else around them is engaged. Like the whole block or the whole neighborhood or the whole area was prepared for this moment, and are going along with it. For some people, that's weird. "Why are they all singing? Imagine doing THAT in real life!" That's the point of musicals, I feel. The singing is the characters' feelings, their world, their point of view. These movies don't follow a literal reality, and that's what has always made them and their theatre counterparts so special for so many years.
COCO, by contrast, is about musicians. They pick up a guitar or instrument, and when they play music and sing, it's not of a heightened reality. Everybody else goes about their business, the whole block isn't singing- You get where I'm going with this, right? There's a clear difference between COCO and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
Some 30 years ago, when Pixar was working on TOY STORY... Their first ever feature film, they specifically didn't want to do a musical or something with an "I Want" song. A little list of rules, so that they wouldn't make something similar to what Disney was doing post-OLIVER & COMPANY. Many of the other animation studios were mimicking that formula as well, as evidenced by all the SWAN PRINCESS and FERGULLY types that were being released all throughout the '90s... It's understandable that Pixar and their tight-knit culture wanted to avoid that at first...
But we're in 2024 now, and Disney Animation has long balanced out musicals with non-musicals (BIG HERO 6, ZOOTOPIA, RAYA, etc.), while other studios have tried other kinds of musicals that don't try to recreate what Howard Ashman and Alan Menken perfected circa 1989. Like the SING movies, those are jukebox musicals, the TROLLS movies are more like pop musicals than they are Broadway...
So, some three decades after the release of TOY STORY (assuming that this film comes out in 2026 at the earliest), yeah! Pixar making a musical isn't so far-fetched. What this studio brings to that genre remains to be seen, but I'm interested nonetheless. They could possibly re-invent it in a very cool, fun way. I just find the title to be curious... Ducks... Talking animals... It seems very basic, but there's a lot we don't know, so I'll wait til I hear more. It could be about, say, duckpin bowling for all I know.
My other question is... Who is directing it? I know that the following filmmakers have pitched or are working on films at Pixar:
Brian Fee (director of CARS 3)
Enrico Casarosa (director of LUCA)
Domee Shi (director of TURNING RED)
Dan Scanlon (director on ONWARD and MONSTERS UNIVERSITY)
Kristen Lester (director of Sparkshort PURL)
Rosana Sullivan (director of Sparkshort KITBULL)
Aphton Corbin (director of Sparkshort TWENTY-SOMETHING)
Daniel Chong (creator of WE BEAR BEARS, storyboard artist on CARS 2 and INSIDE OUT)
Their schedule currently looks like this:
6/14/2024: INSIDE OUT 2
06/13/2025: ELIO
03/06/2026: Unknown
06/19/2026: Unknown
TBD 2026: TOY STORY 5 (likely summer)
So, logically, this could be their spring 2026 original movie while TOY STORY 5 expectedly takes the prime summer slot. Maybe! Perhaps it swaps spots with something else, I don't know.
We do have a D23 Expo coming up this year, so maybe we'll learn what Pixar's post-ELIO films are that aren't sequels. If DUCKS is real and it's moving along quite nicely, then that should be the one. We shall see...

the other day i was in an uber, and the driver was an old retired country club guy who i guess needs to get out of the house.. so he was super chatty and struck up a conversation. in what he described as being shortly before the pandemic, he picked up jared leto while ubering, who he did not know of at the time. they got to talking about music, then became friendly and jared took him for a tour of this big house he was having renovated. apparently jared was having work done on a local property intended for him and his crew since he was filming here, and off-hand he mentions that jared said he was due to start filming the new tron movie in canada at the time. but obviously it got postponed. all i could think was i wish uber man had picked up thee evan peters instead. would've made this car ride way more interesting for me because he exchanged numbers with jared leto.

MET GALA 2023
As of now, My top 3 of the night were (in no particular order):
Halle Bailey
Lily James
Cardi (both looks, but the pink was fabulous)
Honorable mention:
Viola Davis (me and my momma almost cried, she looked like a Barbie)
Elle Fanning - literally the more I keep staring at her photos the more obsessed I become wit her outfit. She might become a favorite in two days honestly
Janelle Monae - the thome brown coat was fantastic and interesting take on the theme to me. And just points alone for the Chanel swimsuit, I wasn’t expecting that
Rihanna - (I actually preferred her look with the vintage fendi fur coat leaving the hotel than the white dress, but I still loved the “headpiece”)
Jenna Ortega - like Janelle’s coat, very interesting interpretation of theme
Special mention:
Doja Cat - the face prosthetic was so cool (I wish they did a better job of blending it in though with her makeup, and her dress was too big)
My mom’s favorite:
Dua Lipa, she said Dua was really pretty and looked like Snow White
Worst Dressed
Irina Shayk - girl please
Kylie Jenner - ……..
Jack Harlow - why was he even there
Ice Spice - I honestly think she was just there bc she’s popular right now, I’m not mad, get your exposure, but it didn’t even seem like she tried. Maybe she proves me wrong one day, but I don’t see her becoming someone we get excited for fashion wise
Mary J blidge - sorry auntie, but you’ve got to let those thigh high boots go. You can’t wear them everywhere
Margot Robbie - mainly just disappointed. You were literally a Chanel ambassador and they put you in that?! YOU ARE LITERALLY PLAYING BARBIE IN THEY PUT YOU IN THAT??????!!!!!! Her team hates her, I swear they do
Cara Delevingne - Honoring his shirt? Really? And those leggings I think they were, really? YOU WERE HIS MUSE!!! Come on
WTF Moment:
Lil Naz X - he’s so unserious
The Cat aka “Jared Leto” - I can’t
Overall :
This year’s MET was really good honestly, and I think the reason people stayed on theme is because most of the people there worked with Karl , and they could easily pull vintage or current looks from Fendi, Chloe, and especially Chanel. But I really liked that a lot of people actually were dressed in other designers instead of just wearing one of those three brands cus that could have been TOO easy (though I think they needed an easy one cus they’ve been struggling)
I still hate that she decided to honor that man
The carpet was horrible and looked like toothpaste was spread across the carpet
And horrible was Anna’s outfit too

My favorite movies and shows of 2022: 2022 was a terrible year so here’s my favorite escapisms of the year. 1.  The Sandman Netflix series.   I only read The Sandman for the first time in 2017 and I immediately wanted more. I can’t imagine what it would have been like to wait for an adaptation since 1988.  My wait was only five years.  2.   The invitation  The best new Dracula film I’ve seen in a long, long time.  It’s just frustrating that the movie does the coy thing of never calling him Dracula out loud but you’re supposed to figure it out from very blatant clues... and there are some viewers who somehow didn’t catch on...  It’s low budget but very atmospheric and it was quite simply my favorite film of 2022.  It was the best new Gothic Horror film I’ve seen in a long time. 3.   Wednesday.  I loved Wednesday.  It was a nice revival of both The Addams Family (paying respect to all previous incarnations of The Addams Family) and also seeing Tim Burton return to form.  Many people say it doesn’t feel like Tim Burton but I think they’re just not used to when Tim Burton actually had quality.  I hadn’t seen a Tim Burton production quite like this since 2005′s Corpse Bride.
4.     Hocus Pocus 2.  Though perhaps not as good as the original, there was a lot of welcome Nostalgia and some polite nods to non-evil / Wiccan-style magick and witchcraft, such as having the main heroes be three teenage girls who practice benign, nature-respecting Wiccan witchcraft.  There were also two new song numbers.  The Witches Are Back (to the tune of Sir Elton John’s The Bitch’s back).  And the Hocus Pocus re-working of One way or Another.
5.  The Witcher Season 2 and The Witcher Blood Origin.  This is sort of a cheat since The Witcher Season 2 came out December 2021 but it came out so late in the year it might as well have been 2022.   And I’m putting Witcher: Blood Origin on here just for Jaskier’s two scenes and the new songs, “Song of the Seven.” and “The Black Rose” though I wish Joey Batey sang a version of The Black Rose.
6.  Morbius.  Yes, it’s cheesy.  Yes, it’s full of cliches but ...that’s how Morbius was in the comics.  My only qualms about it is that the movie never establishes that he’s immortal and weirdly Jared Leto’s portrayal of Doctor Michael Morbius is surprisingly subdued. The character (in the comics) was a bit of a ham.    7.  The anime “The Vampire Dies in No Time.”  After my grandfather passed away last January I needed something playful where I could just shut my brain off for a while and this anime about an incompetent vampire (who dies if you just look at him funny) and his weird friendship with a vampire hunter, and his familiar Armadillo (subtle joke based on Bela Lugosi’s Dracula) was a welcome distraction.
8.   Dracula: The original living vampire. This is not a good movie at all. It was just Asylum's shameless knock-off of both Morbius and The Invitation (mostly Morbius).   The only fun thing about it is watching it and trying to figure out what time period it's set in.

• The 2023 Met Gala •
“Fashion’s biggest night of the year”
I’m in a bitchy mood, so let’s have a bitchy discussion about it.
Here goes nothing.. really though.
I wish I could be more enthusiastic but I haven’t cared about the Met Gala since 2015. Suddenly getting flashbacks of Rihanna in that spectacular Guo Pei number! The definition of iconic.
It’s 2023 and the name of the game is inclusivity. The Met Gala is the opposite of that when you really think about it, it’s one of the most exclusive events out there. The public gets a little red carpet show but we don’t get to see what really happens inside, what if it’s just a hotbed of absolute debauchery and we’re missing out? 😢
Doubtful seeing as Anna Wintour has had a stick up her ass since she came out of the womb and the whole purpose of the Met Gala is to raise money for various charities (Kind of a slay to be honest!)
Did any of the celebrities actually follow the theme this year? The answer is yes, for the most part. The theme of the met gala this year is ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ obviously honoring the late, great designer, creative director, artist and photographer Karl Lagerfeld. Did you know he left £1.3 million to his beloved cat Choupette? How.. sweet?
I could get into why Karl Lagerfeld is thought of as an artistic visionary but I can’t be bothered and Google is free.
So let’s just get into my favorite picks of the night! I have to be honest there were many celebrities at this years Met Gala that I just couldn’t care less about and looking through each and every outfit was exhausting to say the least. Many were.. unremarkable.
Here we go—
1. Jared Leto dressed as Choupette, Karl’s beloved cat. The furries must be in heaven. The whole get-up made me laugh, the thing looks pretty realistic. I understand why people would want to join this mans cult. He’s hot and he’s got a good sense of humor. Fun. Great. Next..
2. Ava Max in custom Christian Siriano, she brought the drama I’ve desperately been craving. Also I’m a sucker for a beautiful headpiece. She looks positively radiant and angelic.
3. Dua Lipa in a white and black tweed ballgown from Chanel’s fall 1992 couture collection. “The girls that get it, get it and the girls that don’t, don’t.“ as they say. Every girl on the planet wants this dress in her closet.
4. Jenna Ortega in a custom Thom Browne ‘Wednesday’ inspired black corset dress. Outfits that lean more on the goth side tend to be incredibly cheesy looking or elegant and romantic, this dress is the latter.
(Honorable mentions: J.Lo, Kylie Jenner, Anne Hathaway, Madelyn Cline, Conan Gray, Vanessa Hudgens, Glenn Close, Lily Collins, Anitta, Brian Tyree Henry, Lila Moss, Anok Yai, Emily Ratajkowski) ..and Kim K, please try a different silhouette.. We get it! You’re curvy.
Writing is hard. Excuse my many grammatical and punctuation errors, I would try harder but I don’t want to.. Goodnight.
Ciao, bitches.

Tell us why you ship Jeon, coward ❤️❤️❤️
WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME
Alright so i guess im actually doing this after all (i think i already answered a similar question not long ago but it was very cluttered)
So instead of going full analysis mode on you guys im gonna write down the main points (note that i am discussing RE2 Leon here) :
The chaotic evil/lawful good ship trope, where person A abides by a set of rules, wishes to help others and right all that is wrong, and person B is the embodiment of chaos, entirely focused on their own needs and desires and completely lacking empathy
It makes for an interesting dynamic, the constant back and forth keeps people like me
invested for a long time
Now there might be some of you who might be wondering - why Leon specifically? Personally i don’t have an exact answer to that since you could argue that there are several characters in DbD who contrast Ji-Woon’s colorfulness
But somehow Leon stands out the most, with his nearly obnoxious self-righteousness and naivety (not using this as a way to describe him as dimwitted by the way)
I should also add that Leon seems to be fascinated by mysterious flashy people, so denying that he wouldn’t be curious about Ji-Woon would be funny to me
I’m a firm believer of “opposites attract” (be they as enemies, friends or lovers)
Ji-Woon is naturally playful so he’d enjoy messing around with someone like Leon (no i’m not talking about s*x)
Just imagine batman and joker but if batman was a rookie with the personality of a golden retriever (he can still kick your ass) and joker was a self-absorbed idol (insert the joke of him being “jared leto joker’s handsome twin” here)
I like to believe that jeon is interesting mostly because of my (and other people’s) portrayal of them :) that includes the aus i come up with anddd my modern setting thing where they re grossly in love with each other (plus ji woons reactions to leons affections)
I worked a lot on fleshing them out as a ship instead of going the bland “canon” route
That doesn’t mean that i did it by myself of course! I appreciate all the love and support on both my fics and art and i hope everyone following me enjoys my future content with them!! I haven’t a clue how long i’ll keep shipping jeon but as of now they re on my mind 24/7 and i hope it stays that way hahah

rest in peace river, twenty nine years later,
Tumblr media
river, i’m not going to lie… it breaks my heart when halloween comes around because then, the thought of you leaving this earth arrives into my brain.
as a kid, halloween was something i thought was fun particularly with trick or treating and costumes but now, it’s such a bittersweet day especially with being a fan of yours.
halloween truly will never be the same to me again, i wish with all my heart that there was a chance you got to survive that moment. there will always be a lot of “what ifs,” for me when it comes to you, just like i say of my cousin and of selena quintanilla among others.
whenever the subject of actors and actresses or celebrities overall who had great potential but suffered an unfortunate fate especially whom were total sweethearts, you are no doubt the first to come to mind. it hurts to wish and hope that this is just a dream and that you’ll be alive but i remember it’s not.
oftentimes, i’ll have very vivid moments of dreams whether in sleep or daydreams and they’ll include you in quite a few. some of them involve of an alternative reality where you along with selena are alive, the thought of what hollywood would look like if it was true.
and to have the envision of you as big time actor who is so well known, continually withholding the best friend and soulmate bonds with keanu and martha as well as costarring with little brother, joaquin.
whenever, i think of things like this, the theory that leonardo got your career cannot seem to leave my mind once it was entered. it makes me curious if it’s truly true, i could definitely see both sides on why some people believe it and others do not or are unsure.
i find it admirable when i remember that leonardo himself had mentioned how you were an acting influence to him especially growing up, like other various actors had such as jared leto. especially when it came to leonardo as he’s considered among some of the best actors in hollywood, something i no doubt believe that to be true of you and dear keanu.
you will forever be kept in many of our hearts, forever beloved and forever thanked for the beautiful person and soul you were. i hope that in the future of having kids, i get the opportunity in telling them all about you, like i will of exactly that regarding my cousin and selena.
and with that said, thank you dear river for the tremendous influence and life lessons you taught me throughout my nine years of being a fan of yours. i will always continue to hold you in my heart and rest your heartfelt soul, rest in peace river jude phoenix.

I wish you could help us to understand how much truths are on that Matt's article and him as journalist generally. because harries are acting like It was revealed to him by Lord personally. They also claim it was written by a well-established journalist who wouldn’t publish defamatory pieces without a credible source. Wow! I found it very strange and conflict, how ndas works? I CAN'T trust that fans and they're not the right people to learn about how Hollywood works. I wants to look at bigger picture. Not what being written in media. And you said that you knew people who were working there so you can clarify this man's claims and I found timing odd.
Nothing he said was groundbreaking or new or narrow enough to trace the source to one specific person. Cheating? Everyone knows that. On set conflict? Everyone knows that. Olivia is unprofessional? Everyone knows that. If you break an NDA you know the repercussion. And if you work in the industry, you know how to skirt around an nda enough not to be traced.
The problem with people here is when people say it’s pr you all think everything is fake when obviously it didn’t start that way. It also doesn’t seem to ring that people on set can have different experience. I know people who worked on Suicide Squad who had a good time because they never had to work with Jared Leto in any capacity for example. One of my friends who worked in dwd said his experience was normal and nothing unusual. The other was more negative. That’s it.

“Think that makes him... fake. 🤷🏼‍♀️”
I can’t agree that not making public confessions in failures make you fake 🤷🏼‍♀️ Do you like admitting when you fail to prove something and are wrong? We know the answer
I can name many things I have failed at!
I failed finding a "purpose in life" so I ended up in a job that was nowhere on my childhood wish lists. 🤷🏼‍♀️
And I was goo lazy and talentless and ambitionless to do anything about it. 🤷🏼‍♀️
I have handled MANY situations in real life extremely poorly, and some I can never fix and some I could but again I am too lazy and thoughtless to do so. Some have cost me money, some have cos friendships.
Do I LIKE admitting these? Nope.
But if someone asks Jared Leto a specific example of smthg he has failed at and he can't answer or just evades it completely, then that shows exactly what type of man he is. 🙄

Skarsgardbro definitely reads your blog every day (coming from her latest story)
The picture she used just proves my point. Bill's hair doesn't look anything like the comics and a lot of people are complaining about that. Not to mention a few other things. If they were going for the comic adaptation (which I already said way before she posted this) they could have done a better job. He doesn't look like that he looks like a wish version of that. Hence all the Jared Leto Joker memes being made about it. They 100% could have done a better job if that was the look they were going for.

Helena Bonham Carter and Edward Norton in Fight Club (David Fincher, 1999)
Cast: Edward Norton, Brad Pitt, Helena Bonham Carter, Meat Loaf, Zach Grenier, Holt McCallany, Jared Leto. Screenplay: Jim Uhls, based on a novel by Chuck Palahniuk. Cinematography: Jeff Cronenweth. Production design: Alex McDowell. Film editing: James Haygood. Music: Dust Brothers.
What if Dr. Jekyll didn't know he was turning into Mr. Hyde? Fight Club is essentially an exploration of that premise, turning Robert Louis Stevenson's sci-fi into psy-fi, a fiction based on a fantastical psychological premise. But Chuck Palahniuk's novel, and the adaptation of it by screenwriter Jim Uhls and director David Fincher, is more than that: It's also a satire on corporate commercialism and the grip it has on the soul -- particularly the male soul. The Narrator (Edward Norton) is a nebbishy corporate everyman, stuck in a job he hates, doing work that morally revolts him -- he calculates whether an auto manufacturer can get away with dangerously defective parts, whether a recall will be more expensive than paying off accident victims. He's insomniac, and finds that he can sleep only when he goes to support groups for people worse off than he is, sufferers from serious illnesses. At one session he meets Marla Singer (Helena Bonham Carter), beautiful and frazzled, who also goes to these support groups because she wants to feel something that she can't find in her own routine life. Then on a business trip, during which the venality of his job becomes particularly clear to him, he meets a devil-may-care type named Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt), handsome, clever, and completely amoral. Returning from the trip he arrives to find that his apartment, the only thing he feels some pride in, has been blown up in what seems to be an accidental explosion. He has no place to go, so when he finds Durden's card, he moves in with him in a dreadful rundown old house on the edge of nowhere, and becomes drawn into Durden's life, including the formation of the titular club, in which men of various professions gather to beat one another silly. It's the ultimate catharsis for meaningless corporate drudgery. He also introduces Durden to Marla, and lies in his bed listening to the two of them having raucously noisy sex. Eventually, the sex and violence escalate, and when they reach the pinnacle of rebelliousness against establishment values, the Narrator has a revelation: He's Tyler Durden. Fincher beautifully finesses any literal-minded explanations, relying instead on Norton's ordinariness and Pitt's good looks, as well as some careful staging and cutting, to keep from turning this into a tale about dissociative identity disorder. Instead, it's a fable about the ordinary male's repressed desire to become a Brad Pitt, or as Durden puts it, "All the ways you wish you could be, that's me. I look like you wanna look, I fuck like you wanna fuck, I am smart, capable, and most importantly, I am free in all the ways that you are not." The first viewers of Fight Club were often distracted by the violence and failed to respond to the ideas the film is working with. Since then, it has grown in esteem, perhaps because its violence has become more routine in movies, but also because its apocalyptic ending irrupted into real life on Sept. 11, 2001. The film's power to provoke, to appall, and to stimulate argument makes it some kind of minor classic.

Jared Leto stays young by sucking all the blood, water, nutrients, and oxygen out of any and all nearby objects, people and animals in his vicinity. He won’t stop. He’s just gotten through a groundhog. Make him stop.

please answer at least two of the following in character :
* what was the last song you listened to on spotify ?
“don’t judge me but… patbingsu by billlie. I can’t help that it’s so damn catchy even if it’s just about how much they love the dessert! it’s a certified bop and I won’t hear any criticism.”
* who’s a celebrity you hate ?
“hate is a strong word but I really really really don’t like… jared leto. he’s just really weird and has like a cult or something? strange vibes especially when he sent margot robbie a dead animal? no thank you.”
* what is something you love about yourself and something you wish you could change about yourself ?
“is it weird if it’s the same answer for both? it just depends on how I feel about myself. sometimes I love my freckles and moles and other times I want them all gone! that’s for physical at least. i definitely wish I wasn’t as sensitive as I can be sometimes. someone raises their voice at me and I just instantly tear up. that’s all I think.”
* tell us two truths and a lie !
“oh I love two truths and a lie! okay um… i wanted to be a ballerina when I was 5 and even took a few classes but the teacher made me cry so bad one day I never went back, I wasn’t allowed to watch barbie movies for some reason when i was younger, and im lactose intolerant but still have at least one milkshake a week.”
