My collection of wormdas drawings from the jcs worm festival on their own (don’t worry, more are coming when I have the time)

The drawings have definitely improved since the first little doodle

(reference photos and some short rambles below the cut)

Ok so you can see that unlike the first two, the final picture is not a still from jcs, but it’s still significant and I’ll tell you why.

They are two characters from Commedia Dell’arte, Pierrot on the left and Columbine (sometimes written as Columbina) on the right. Now, in Commedia Dell’arte Pierrot is known as the sad clown because he loves Columbine, but she always leaves him in the end, choosing Arlecchino (aka Harlequin) over him, thus leaving him pining for his lost love

Sure Jesus didn’t leave Judas for another person, but he did still leave him in the end. I also just really love Pierrot and Judas so it was fun drawing one as the other

Watched Jesus Christ Superstar Austria 2005 abd I have so many feelings now (again!). Like Jesus signing "there's not one of you who cannot win the kingdom" directly to Judas? Judas pleading Jesus even after his final words in The Last Supper? Judas blowing a kiss to Jesus during Superstar? Okay, the last one was mocking, but it was Superstar 😭

So… I'm working on a funny (or hopefully entertaining) Jesus Christ Superstar video*, and for that I've been trying to transcribe the unique lyrics of this performance, but I'm struggling with it. So, if anyone has the lyrics or would like to help, it would've be greatly appreciated. The 73 movie is great! I think the most popular adaptation is the 2000 movie and they have wildly different aesthetics but they're both quite faithful to the intended storytelling. I have a google doc with quite a lot of links as well if you're interested in checking out more productions, but in short I would recommend the 2005 Amstetten production out of all the stage productions.

I've never watched or listened to Jesus Christ Superstar, but I want to for Reasons
