hi kit! long time no see lol jk I spend so much time on your blog and ko-fi its not even funny (in a nice non-stalkerish way I promise) I subscribed to your kofi and was wondering if you planned on continuing any of those AUs or were they meant to be sorta one shots? because I *literally* cannot stop thinking about healer anakin going about this day with that brightest blue silk blindfold?? oh all the potential for pining and hurt/comfort and ALL THE ANGST here?? ooof pls I need more - 🦊

hiii kit it's 🦊 again I am back because I just had an epiphany about the healer anakin AU I am obsessed with currently. so is the blindfold like a hijab where your close family (so other healer peers in private I suppose?) and your significant other is able to see you with the blindfold off? I started thinking that keeping it on 24/7 is probably not ideal and there has to be some time that it comes off, and who gets to see you then.. I am south asian so I kinda dig this tbh! 😊 (2/2)

hello hello this is such an interesting ask!! for the first part, i'm really not sure - i think there are fics on ko-fi that i would love to expand and write more for (the healer anakin au being one of them) but at the same time, i think while i am running the ko-fi fic thing, then those stories need to exist only on there - or i need to talk to everyone who supports me monthly on there and see if they would be ok with me posting those stories somewhere else (like on ao3 or tumblr) and expanding on them more. as of right now, they're really just one shots that act a bit like slices of life in the au - just enough information that the characterizations are apparent and just enough setting and premise that it feels like a story but overall stand alone

but yes i too am sorta obsessed with the idea of healer skywalker showing up to healer functions with a bright blue silk bandana over his eyes while everyone else has the standard issue gray or white cloth. of course they wouldn't know, but just imagine like. mace windu attends to give a debrief of the next few battle plans and anakin is just...sticking out like a sore thumb lol

as for the second part, in my mind i'm sort of waving the logistics of keeping the blindfold on for long stretches of time because im leaning more into the fantasy side of star wars tbh - i think it's more angsty as a concept if healers sort of...give their eyes away forever/until they retire and never open them. they change the bandages and shower without them on, but the force is supposed to act as their eyes for menial daily tasks like telling apart shampoo from conditioner and cooking (and they just get used to it)

like that feels so much more angsty because obi-wan will never ever get to see anakin's eyes again and he has to just. make his peace with that which he's obviously struggling to do in the ficlet on ko-fi. he has to figure out how to love anakin as he is, with his vows, or he won't get him at all and obi-wan wrestling with that is a key part of the ficlet. im not sure how strongly that angst would hit if they could reach a certain point of closeness and then he could get anakin the way he had him when they were in the creche, sight and all you know? he needs to accept who anakin is to really have a chance at loving him without getting some other version of him back

but that being said i also do dig the idea of the blindfolds being taken off in the company of one's family or loved ones and am open to it--it explains a lot of logistical questions for sure lol

i just also really like the angst and acceptance that comes from the idea that obi-wan must become ok with never seeing anakin's eyes again....only for anakin, who loves him so much, to break his vows because obi-wan is dying and needs him or obi-wan is dying and asks to see his eyes one last time (only for obi-wan to categorically survive)

Fix-it AU idea, where Mercy is asked to give Padme a second medical opinion. The whole confession ended with Hero with no Fear getting a couple days long mental health leave after Mercy heard all about Anakin's sleepless nights and anxiousness from his wife.

Some thoughts about my All Is Well AU I’d like to share (This is a Jedi-centric AU, so it’ll only involve them):

Palpatine and Plagueis die because of a failed experiment that turned on them (ironic, isn’t it?)  

Since Palpy is dead, no War! But also no clones :(

Sifo-Dyas does not get mortally paranoid since no war is happening!

Him and Dooku get to be two old men in love.

Q’Tark, on one of her visits to her tribe on Tatooine, finds Anakin when he is 2 months old, too little to get his slave chip implanted, and so Shmi is able to give him to the Jedi.

When the Nightsisters gave Asajj away (like in canon) they also gave Maul with her. But their ship was intercepted by the Jedi, who saved them from the criminal and brought them to the Temple.

Reva Sevander becomes the second Padawan of Obi-wan  

The Disaster Lineage is less of a disaster, and they’re all fine!

Anakin becomes Obi’s Padawan at 13, and gets knighted at 25 instead of 19.

So Ahsoka becomes Plo Koon’s Padawan.

Maul becomes Mace’s Padawan.

Ezra is still Kanan/Caleb’s Padawan.

Them, Depa, Maul, Mace and Cyslin (Mace’s master) all get together to drink tea and chat every two weeks.

Ahsoka eventually becomes Grandmaster of the Order when she’s 130 (I like the idea of Togrutas living for a long time)

BARRISS IS FINE AND IS A HEALER AND IS A RESPECTED MEMBER OF THE ORDER AND KISSES AHSOKA AND HAS HER OWN PADAWAN AND–

I read your sithspawn Obi-Wan au and I can't stop laughing it's so good 10/10. All I can think of is Qui-Gon walking in to find Obi-Wan staring at a wall being like "I can't tell if I got drugged or if I can see in UV now." and Qui-Gon not being sure if he should laugh or rush him to the healing halls. Or Anakin looking at old pictures of Obi-Wan and seeing more and more features show up as he gets older and Anakin being just so confused. Or what Cody's reaction to that would be.

(and my other fics) but also l m a o yes 100%, obi-wan is always very casual with the 'so I might be dying or this is a fun new trick I can do now, 50/50 odds' and qui-gon always reacts with hahaFUCK. They get very familiar with the healers. There is talk of putting in a special code for the door, given how often master jinn has come bursting in, carrying his padawan over one shoulder, then flung him at the nearest bio-bed for scanning for some new exotic poison/allergy/weird reaction. (on the other hand, padawan kenobi is possibly the best vaccinated being in the temple, under the assumption that his genetics are so goddamn weird he might as well get the shots for mon cala mumps, montral pox, correlian bantha flu, and furred dropsy.)

There is at least several missions where they both get to play 'which of these cups/meals is poisoned' where the answer is either: a)neither (qui-gon is just Allergic to Random Local Ingredient); b)both (obi-wan is immune to Random Local Poison); c)One But Not The Other (which realistically is 'qui-gon's is poisoned; obi-wan's isn't', because if obi-wan's is poisoned it's basically the same as if neither is poisoned and qui-gon's not allergic to random local ingredient)

Anakin 100% sees holos of baby-wan and is like who tf is this random human kid?????? he does Not believe it's obi-wan until someone puts together a slideshow of like, here's babywan with teeny tiny claws. here's babywan with slightly bigger claws. here's babywan when he started growing his first set of horns! here's babywan--

Cody is fine and cool about this. he is absolutely not stressed out that his jedi is of a species he doesn't recognise (even after delegating some slicers to traul the holonet about it) and is also best described as having a diet of 'yeah whatever'. he's totally fine that his jedi will run up a wall and skitter across a roof hanging by his claws. it's fine. this is fine. the man is a walking talking force powered radar dish that can see infra red and ultra violet and tracks things by scent as well as the undrana beasts the retreival corps use, it's fine, this is fine, he's can fit another antenna or radar or sensor on somewhere, there's space on his left bracer maybe.

Star Wars au where the Force includes hammerspace.

The 212th is really confused as to how Obi-Wan keeps such a reliable stock of tea of hand until they see him yoink a bazooka out of nowhere one day when he's dropped his saber (again) and is particularly pissed at Grievous.

Anakin mostly just pulls tools out of nowhere and ends up with a pile as tall as he is because this gadget needs one particular type of screwdriver no one uses anymore and he keeps getting the wrong one.

Ahsoka one day pulls out a mallet larger than she is and squashes Ventress into a sithly pancake. Several troopers are very shocked and very jealous they want giant portable hammers.

Mace Windu seems calm and collected but he has been known by some to pull kazoos out of nowhere to annoy politicians if he can get away with it.

Plo Koon pulls out giant stuffed wolves that double as pillows for the Wolfpack.

There's a long-standing tradition of Jedi using hammerspace (saberspace?) for snacks, a deck of cards, and sometimes an extra lightsaber. The shadows use it to become that gag of a character being told to leave all their weapons and ending up with a pile as tall as they are. The healers use it to keep bacta patches, water, and snacks on hand.

Maul/trans!Obi, post-TPM pre-AotC

Maul just follows around waddling Obi-Wan with gnashing teeth and hands clawed in frustration.

They took away his lightsaber 🥺

any au where Obi-Wan is pregnant with Maul’s baby is hilarious because on one hand that is Maul’s nemesis and he wants to kill him/ruin his life but now he’s pregnant with his kid and he can’t do that any more Savage and Feral end up at the temple because of Maul has to suffer through this so do his younger brothers they are delighted by this

Obi-Wan: Would you like to feel the baby kick? Maul:

I want Qui-Gon to have survived, and Maul ran off, ditching both the Jedi hunting him and Sidious.

He and Obi-Wan have been playing cat an mouse for a few years before they start falling into bed together (or a wall, or a table) whenever Obi-Wan catches up.

And after a few incidents, Obi-Wan decides to do something stupid and gets rid of his bc, and a few months later…

(I think Zabraks should be able to smell if their partner is pregnant.)

Sparrow:

Maul goes to fight him then catches the scent and his brain immediately makes the record scratch sound

He tries to kidnap Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan refuses to be kidnapped, goes back to the Temple.

Maul follows him with confused and slightly horny rage.

With Qui-Gon still alive, Dooku maybe hasn't left? So Obi-Wan's dad and grandpa are circling Maul like You Are Not Good Enough For The Second-Babiest Lineage Member.

After a certain point, Anakin learned to just Leave if Maul is there.

Because things are about to get either really dangerous or really weird.

He's thirteen and has been volunteering in the creche and building cribs to be ready for the New Baby Sibling.

Anakin bothering bb healer padawan Barriss for Anxiety about whether or not half-zabrak babies have horns that are a danger to the pregnant parent if the parent is human.

(Anakin has. So many anxieties about things like pregnancy.)

I was having some post Padawan Lost and Wookie Hunt feels so I decided to give a lil snippet from the after math in my au :)

Ahsoka felt Fives’ bright and ecstatic presence before she saw him. By the time he shoved through the blast doors to the hangar he already had to duck to avoid the ceiling. Upon laying eyes on her he let out a cheer and charged towards her.

With each step he seemed to grow taller until he was right in front of her. He crashed down to his knees to hug her, lifting her off the ground completely. 

She let out a breathless laugh as he squeezed her, she was grateful for the pain medication the Jedi healers had given her for her bruised ribs and claw marks.

“You scared the osik out of us commander.” He told her. “If you ever do that again I swear to the Maker.” 

Ahsoka huffed a laugh as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

“I don’t plan on it any time soon.”

“Alright, Fives let her down so the rest of us can see her.” Jesse barked.

Fives lifted one hand to flip his brother off but gently set her back down onto the floor. She was quickly swept up into another embrace by the scout. Over Jesse’s shoulder she saw that Rex had taken up a place beside her master. He was standing formally but had a small smile on his face as he watched her. She also noted that he was currently a couple inches taller than Anakin. 

Fives hadn’t regained enough control to fully shrink back down to his regular size so he stayed seated on the floor as she recounted what had happened to her.

Ahsoka followed Rex to his office and private bunk, occasionally stopping to greet a trooper as they went. The force rang with happiness and relief throughout the barracks, they really had missed her after she’d been taken. That knowledge made her warm inside. 

Rex palmed the door open, quickly shucking off his vambraces and chestplate as she leaned out to wave to Ridge. 

As soon as she stepped into the room and shut the door, she was swiftly swept up into another embrace. The sound of a desk sliding across the floor and the clang of something heavy hitting the durasteel wall filled the room as Rex’s oversized knees shoved furniture out of the way. One arm supported her while his other hand was wrapped around her middle as he clutched her to his chest. Only now did she see how tightly he’d been keeping his emotions under control seeing as he was large enough to completely fill the room now that they were alone. 

She flung her arms across his chest. 

“I’m alright Rex, I’m here.”

She felt his head shake next to her. 

“We looked for you for days vod’ika, but all we found were your kriffing lightsabers. We didn’t know where you were or what had happened or if you were even still…” his voice faltered and his hand around her clenched. 

She pushed back enough to see his face. 

“I survived. Thanks to Anakin and to you all, if you hadn’t trained with me as much as you all have, I don’t think I would have made it. But I did and I helped two other padawans make it home to.” Ahsoka attempted to keep her face straight as Kalifah’s face flashed to the front of her mind. “So thank you Rex, for all you’ve done for me.”

The captains force signature sang as he tucked her back against his shoulder.

Ahsoka let the the warmth around her seep into her mind and calm her, the part of her brain that had been on survival mode finally relaxed and a bone-deep tired took its place. 

“Are you going to let go anytime soon?” She asked around a yawn.

“No.” Rex answered. “Not after that karkshow.”

“Good because I think I’m too tired to stand.”

His chuckle rumbled through her whole body. 

Slowly the ache in her middle began to make itself present again. She winced when Rex’s thumb ran over her side, right over a couple of claw marks courtesy of the trandoshans. 

He must have felt her tense because his grip quickly loosened. 

“Are you alright?” He asked, pulling her back a little bit. 

“I’m fine, just a few parting gifts from the Trandoshians.” She told him with a sheepish smile. 

His Force signature flashed with rage as he carefully set her back down onto the floor. When she stumbled he was quick to fit his hand back around her middle to keep her upright. 

“What happened?” He asked.

In Reincarnated Vader X Todoroki Enji AU, would the kids have Force abilities aside from the capacity of inheriting Enji's Hellflame? If yes, Natsuo could be a brilliant healer. More so if Vaderkin makes those high tech Medical Droids that the Galaxy had. Those droids could be a great help in the Medical industry. As for Fuyumi, I imagine she might be a freelance underground hero and use a lightsaber. Shouto would have a brilliant big sis fighting badies.

Force abilities requires training for them to actually be used on command.

Anakin... kind of tuned out on that training. Most of it all came instinctual to him. Also being a metal suit man for a couple decades plus PTSD really also fucked up his memory.

What he DOES remember though is... space monks. That's a close enough descriptor of the Jedi Order.

So he ships his kids off to a temple to learn how to be monks as their summer camp activity. Also gets him some much needed privacy and quiet time with hubby as one does.

based on this au where anakin died in childbirth and obi-wan is left alone to raise the twins, but he can’t bear to be near them without breaking down because he misses anakin too much.

6 years had passed since Anakin gave his last breath and Obi-Wan had come to realise that people lied when they say ‘time heals all wounds’. His wounds were as fresh as the day when he had held Anakin in his arms as the twins were born, only to be ripped apart from his side when the healers tried their best to save his life.

In the end it had come to a decision between Leia’s life and Anakin’s, and Obi-Wan wasn’t proud of himself to admit that most days than not, he wondered if they had made the right choice after all. 

On good days, he could be there for the children for some time before the wound in his heart started bleeding and made it impossible for him to look at them, let alone spend time with them. However, on the bad days… He was grateful every day that Anakin had had the foresight to program C-3P0 and R2-D2 with everything child care related, in case he or Obi-Wan ever got overwhelmed with parenting and Jedi duties.

He was also grateful for the Jedi, who had stepped up on his worse days. When Obi-Wan struggled to exist or be the parent the twins needed, the Masters around him helped him out by feeding them, changing their diapers… They had stepped up in a way that made him tear up, hateful of the fact that Anakin would never witness the way their family had embraced their children.

As he covered himself up with Anakin’s robe – which had lost his scent months after his passing – the door of his room opened up, the sound of little feet tapping on his floor. He made himself smaller, gripping the robe closer to him.

“Dad?” a small high pitched voice asked, poking his side. “Dad, are you awake?”

“I think he’s sleeping, Leia,” another small voice murmured, sounding sad. “Master Mace says he needs to sleep.”

“It’s our birthday, Luke!” the first voice said, making Obi-Wan wince with its volume. “He never spends our birthdays with us!”

“He misses…”

“I want Dad with us on our birthday!” Leia’s voice exclaimed, making Obi-Wan flinch with the harshness of her voice. “He should be…”

“Leia, he’s gonna wake up and be mad!”

“I just want…”

“Oh, Masters Luke and Leia!” 3PO’s voice exclaimed from the door, startling the children, “what are you doing? You know your father needs his sleep!”

“*beep beep boop boop beep boop boop beep*”

“R2! You know this is a difficult time for Master Obi-Wan! Master Anakin…”

“Get them out of here, 3PO,” Obi-Wan said, his voice rough from all the crying he had done the night before. “Now.”

“Dad!” the children exclaimed at the same time, making him wince.

“Tomorrow,” he said, turning away from the children’s pleading eyes, pulling Anakin’s robe closer to him. “Tomorrow.”

“But… Dad…”

“Now, now, Master Leia, Master Luke, come along. Your father… your father needs his sleep.”

“But 3PO…”

“*boop boop beep beep beep boop*”

“You’re so very right, R2. Children… Senator Organa has brought you presents!”

As the children left his room, Obi-Wan made sure to lock the door with the Force, hoping it would let them know he needed a little time to himself. Tomorrow wouldn’t be a better day for Obi-Wan, as every day without Anakin proved to be more challenging than he’d ever believed. But tomorrow, tomorrow he’d look into whatever it was the children wanted from him.

More Kitsune Thots

This AU was originally going to be Anakin being a bit of a slut throughout the galaxy but then Captain Rex happened. Ah. Anakin committed hard with the whole ‘I’ll wait for you/the war to be over’ once they both clocked how they felt for each other and couldn’t do anything about it.

So, instead I have more thots on how Anakin's handling the Kitsune transformation and some world building. tl:dr Anakin gets transformed by a Force Temple to reflect the strength of his force connection right before the events of AotC and this has a lot of run on consequences.

To the Jedi, Kitsune are considered beings of myth but there's a basis for them having actually existed once upon a time as extensions of the Force. Beings whose existence were so tightly woven within it that they were deemed embodiments or spirits of the Force itself, with Lightside and Darkside variants. So to have the highly debated Chosen One turned into this Fox Spirit? Yeah, it raises several eyebrows and quite a few Masters begin to panic because oh shit. This lends some credible weight to the argument of the Prophecy. While others are like, maybe the ‘missing father’ was actually just a Kitsune that’s been hiding in human form that the mother didn’t want to talk about.

They do not mention this to Anakin.

His genetics/biology no longer make the Healers want to cry because he’s not half-human and half-midichlorians anymore. The identification system just straight up returns with ??? on his species markers because it hasn’t got a clue. Kitsune markers were not in the system before. They are now.

They do mention this to Anakin. Along with what they suspect might be new food intolerances.

One of the first things Anakin notices about his new form is his enhanced sense of smell and hearing. Initially, very distracting as he tries to focus in the Force but he gets used to tuning it out like he did with his regular senses before. But, Ahsoka notices. Ahsoka who is a predator species and fully coming to terms with the fact that her new Master is also, basically, a predator species. Even if he’s the only one of his kind that they know of.

It takes a little bit of encouragement for Anakin to get the memo that his new Padawan wants to go hunting with him but once he realises he’s all for it. His full fox form with three tails is about the size of a Great Dane so he isn’t massive yet and doesn’t overshadow her during their hunt. It’s a nice little bonding experience for them. It comes at the cost of freaking out some shinies when they return with prey but free meat is free meat.

The next thing Snips and Skyguy work on is how Anakin can still wield his lightsaber while in full fox form. He doesn’t have opposable thumbs so he can’t hold it with his paws and his tails are not prehensile enough to swing it around either. The solution these two geniuses come up with?

As you can imagine this causes some amount of concern from the other Jedi. Captain Rex also takes some convincing.

I've already talked about Anakin's issues with excess force energy but a funny mental image in this AU is to just have him run an obstacle course. Over and over like training drills to wear himself out. It's much easier with four legs. I feel like there must be species-specific enrichment rooms in the Jedi Temple, kind of like there is in Beastars, in order to settle oneself in their body. It’s not healthy to ignore what the body needs even if the Jedi are trained to not let it control them.

Once Anakin grows more tails he gets bigger (Shire Horse size at four, twice as tall as a clone at five) and realises that his full fox form is quite strong. This is both a blessing and a curse for him because he finds it cumbersome but also bigger is more intimidating. Then he starts working out its utility purposes, like hauling cargo, or carrying wounded/exhausted soldiers. Big crates can be moved using the Force but he can move more in one go with less focus just by physically shunting them around. Carrying people is basically like letting them lean on him in humanoid form or giving someone a piggyback so it doesn’t bother him as much as people expected.

Rex may or may not often situate himself on Anakin’s back when charging into battle because they’re both insane and it looks cool af. Bigger target to hit but he’s willing to take that risk because it means his men get hit less.

He gets annoyed with himself for being so self absorbed all this time, thinking his larger form was a hindrance rather than seeing how it could be useful, until Rex points out that he’s worked it out now so the self pity doesn’t really do anything for anyone. He’s good like that.

Rex: [grabs Anakin’s fox face in his hands] What are you? Anakin: [pouting] An idiot sandwich

Next thing he notices is that his tails fan out instinctively during his fights with Asajj, which completely blocks her view. Usually, he’s having to fight against his tails, trying to keep them from getting in the way rather than making them work for him. I’m thinking of that Kung Fu Panda fight with Shen the Peacock who uses his tail fan as a distraction/block during fights. Obviously it takes some time for Anakin to be that fluid with it and they discover in the process that singed fur smells awful.

Which brings us onto the downsides of the transformation. Namely, he’s now susceptible to ticks and mites that just love to latch onto furry tails if he goes through tall grasses or jungles during a campaign. He's already had to deal with flea jokes (mostly from Ahsoka) and now he actually has parasites on him.

Anakin: It would be a misuse of the Force to just kill them all at once wouldn’t it? Obi-Wan: Extremely. Anakin: [whinges] But doing it by hand is such a pain. Obi-Wan: Consider this a trial of patience then Anakin: You are so not my favourite person right now.

Standing in the rain is a lovely experience for him even after all these years but now that he has fur it comes with the caveat of smelling like a wet dog afterwards. The troopers do not thank him for that. Even less when he shakes to get all the water off, spraying the hangar.

A bit of world building I’m adding to this is that the Kitsune’s powers are expressed through their tails. The more tails a Kistune has the greater their connection to the Force/the more power they control, etc (same in Japanese Mythology, the more tails a fox spirit had the more powerful they were). Except, people worked out that the tails themselves hold power and if removed from a Kitsune that power can be harnessed to influence the Force for whatever purpose. Like elongating one’s life... (Gee I wonder who could do with that who is very close to Anakin -eyes emoji-). The tail disintegrates once all the power it once possessed has been used. A kitsune that has a tail cut off will never be able to regrow it as each tail is its own connection to the Force, which has now been severed. It is why the Kitsune disappeared from the known Galaxy.

I’m thinking Obi-Wan eventually discovers this because as soon as Anakin turned into one he immediately dove for the Archives with whatever spare time he had to learn whatever he could about what Anakin might have to face now. He does not like the implication that they were hunted into extinction, or at least hunted to the point of exile. Already he’s picturing his padawan getting hunted for sport. He does however make a TL:DR version for Anakin to skim through, looking like he hasn’t slept in five days and Anakin is very touched by this display of care.

Obi-Wan is just not a words of affection kind of guy.

hiya kit! hope all has been well with you! are the fics on your ko-fi meant to be one-shots or would you write more for any of these they're all very very good but some feel very complete as they are now while some feel like there might be just a *bit* more? even if its just random thoughts or headcanons?

yeah of course! Most of the fics on ko-fi are based on AUs I’ve created on tumblr - they’re all meant to be more slice of life than fully-fledged finished fic for the most part, as some of these ideas can’t be compressed into 5-7k of a Google doc (like the superhero anakin au or the Jedi healer anakin au) and some of them are just another story amongst the ficlets from tumblr (the princess diaries au: Christmas edition is a good example of this!)

i will always welcome thoughts and questions on the AUs on kofi!! I think a lot of them could be very rich and detailed AUs and I fully expect to carry on with some of them - i just won’t be writing the exact same scenes from ko-fi on here cause that feels unfair…but I won’t make anything on lo-fi absolutely integral to read to understand the au cause that also seems unfair

Barriss Day fanart collages

As I can no longer access/post on my original Tumblr account (under Polgarawolf), due to a dead computer during home rennovations and issues with the internet that resulted in losing the email attached to the account (and the apparent inability of Tumblr to do anything to help me), I have made a new account, Polgarawolf1. I'm the same person, though, and I'm still a big SW fan, though I generally lean more towards the old EU than the new DISNEY!SW version of SW canon. I tend to have elaborate headcanons for the things that I write or otherwise create in fandoms like this but I'm also an AU girl at heart, so I can and sometimes do entertain multiple possible headcanons for certain characters. I'm hoping to get something written for BarrissDay before the deadline, but that might or might not happen, due to real life issues. I'm not a techy person, so I hope that the person (or people) who has (or have) organized BarrissDay and the Barriss Offee Appreciation blog will know how to find this, based on the BarrissDay tag!

Please be aware that my version of Barriss Offee is based largely on the original version of the character, as she appears in cut scenes, etc., from AotC and RotS (and therefore has very little to do with Filoni's Star Wars: The Clone Wars nonsense, except for what I've modified to fit with my headcanon version of Barriss. Apologies, though, for the one image of Barriss with her hair loose/uncovered - it's how they drew her for the cover art of one of the MedStar books, during an unexpected attack, and unfortunately I'm just not artistically talented enough to believably alter it to try to cover her head/hair!), and as she was originally written in EU books such as The Approaching Storm and the MedStar duology. My Barriss is closer in age to Anakin Skywalker than Ahsoka Tano and is most emphatically not a terrorist who willingly helped bomb one of the hangars in the Coruscanti Jedi Temple, just in case anyone is wondering!

In any case, the collages are behind the cut! There are some just for Barriss, some for Barriss and Luminara as Padawan and Master, and a few based specifically on the MedStar books, with Barriss and Kornell "Uli" Divini (I have filled in for him as best I can, since there aren't any good images of him online. For those who are unfamiliar with the character, Uli is from Tatooine, attended Coruscant Medical, did his internship at "Big Zoo" or Galactic Polysapient Medical Center on Alderaan, and is something of a wonderkid, as he's already a fully qualified surgeon when either still eighteen or just nineteen, during the events of MedStar II: Jedi Healer, and is maybe barely 20 when the Clone Wars ends. Uli has something of a baby face but is extremely good at sabacc, which the various Healers - Jedi and otherwise - and surgeons and nurses of Republic Mobile Surgical Unit 7 often play with their friends during downtime. Uli's mother, renowned mudopterist Elana  Divini, is known for collecting "Alderaanian flare-wings" and one of his first meetings with Barriss happens when she's out doing a lightsaber kata and accidentally injures herself while he's in the swamps of Drongar looking at the local insects, sees her, and helps deal with her injury), who were at the very least written as good friends with the potential for more (if not for Order 66, etc.).

Apologies in advance for repetitiveness - I figured more would be better, even if it meant that I basically had to keep using the same scant handful of official images for Barriss from the films over and over, plus a few from the various animated shows. I'm aware that hex signs are a form of Pennsylvania Dutch folk art, but I've had it in my head for years (since long before Star Wars: The Clone Wars was made) that Mirialan art and particularly their folk art involve very similar motifs and also often the use of colorful stained glass and tiles, which is why I've used several of them here along with images meant to evoke stained glass artwork. No disrespect is meant to anyone and if anything bothers anyone, please let me know about it and why, so I can try to fix it or offer an alternative!

I've been brainrotting over this for weeks because Overwatch and Star Wars are two of my fave content to consume and I've been in both these fandoms for so long so-

Overwatch Star Wars au, where Overwatch were the Jedi Order, Blackwatch were Jedi shadows/sentinels.

Reyes as a Jedi Shadow and his little unconventional padawan Cole Cassidy, former teen criminal with enormous potential in the force that Reyes decided to pick up and train despite his age and past.

Ana and Jack are Jedi Masters and part of the council.

The fall of Overwatch would happen very similarly to Order 66, where most of the members get killed and hunted down.

Gabriel Reyes "dies" similarly to Anakin Skywalker and in his place emerges Sith Lord Reaper. As does Talon, similarly to the birth of the empire. Not all Talon members would be Sith ofc. I imagine Doomfist at the very least would be. While Widowmaker is the wife of Senator Lacroix, similarly to in game lore she gets kidnapped and brainwashed. Sombra is probably a mercenary working for Talon. Moira is an inquisitor, former Jedi sentinel, she enjoys capturing former jedi and torturing/experimenting on them, she's responsible for the fall of many former jedi turned inquisitors.

For our Overwatch people, they're also not all going to be Jedi. Ana and Jack, obv. With their respective padawans Fareeha and Lena. Winston as well, plus Angela as a Jedi Healer. Reinhardt and his padawan Brigitte.

Genji would've been part of the Shimada clan, a group of force users that kept themselves separated from Jedi or Sith. Same as in Canon he'd be cut apart by Hanzo and saved by Angela, after which he joins the Jedi. He leaves a few years before the fall to find himself and goes to the monks in the temple of Jedha, where he meets Zenyatta, a force user who is neither jedi nor Sith, not good nor evil, he's in the balance and so he decides to study under him. Hanzo on the other hand completely abandons his lightsabers, same as he stops using his sword in game after "killing Genji".

Post Recall members:

Baptiste as a former Talon Inquisitor, joins the reformed Overwatch and learns how to heal instead of killing.

Cassidy takes on Hana as a padawan and with her he rejoins Overwatch (who he had ditched a little before the fall after having grown disillusioned with them and seeing the corruption that was brewing inside). He does however spend a long time as a merc before taking back his lightsaber and accepting himself as a jedi.

For now this is all my little peabrain could come up with. Mind that the story revolves mainly around Jack, Gabriel and Cassidy. As they kind of replace Obi-wan, Anakin and Ahsoka. (No Jack was not Gabriel's master but they had a strong brotherly bond like Obi-wan and Anakin so I think they fit the roles pretty well).

I do however have some more details on the characters I managed to fit in.

Ana and Fareeha are not mother and daughter but they're from the same clan and they're both Mirialan, they do have a mother and daughter relationship tho. They both have blue lightsabers.

Jack also has a blue lightsaber and he's the order's grandmaster.

Gabriel wields two lightsabers, one purple and one blue, they both turn red after his fall.

(I'm considering making Jack and Gabriel the children of the prophecy. Which they both fail by fighting eachother instead of being in balance. Jack as the light side of the force and Gabriel as the dark side. Kinda like on mortis we have the son and the daughter and the balance gets upset by the son killing the daughter- So yeah Gabriel has completely fallen to the dark side and intent on destroying the light side while Jack is grey-ish and obsessed with revenge and justice, they're terrible at their jobs.)

Cole wields one lightsaber, green. His skills in the force far outclass his lightsaber skills, especially since he greatly favours wielding a blaster in his other hand. He was actually discovered as force sensitive because of his pin point accurate shots. Which he later discovers to be guided by the force and that for years he's unknowingly used the force to guide his aim as well as even maneuvering the blaster fire (basically giving him the equivalent of deadeye in this universe).

Hana has a blue lightsaber, though with her being a pilot and being trained by Cole she's also an accelent shot and doesn't rely too heavily on her lightsaber.

Winston is a lasat, he wields a green bladed saberstaff, though he's more of a scholar than a fighter. (Like Plo Koon he can use the jedi technique of electric judgment)

Moira never made her crystals bleed and she wields a purple and a yellow lightsaber. While she is an inquisitor she's not Sith. She doesn't use the dark side to fuel her, preferring science and force techniques from either side of the force, knowledge is knowledge and she wants it all.

Lena has a blue lightsaber and a blue shoto. She's also an accomplished pilot and it's usually her or Hana that are flying the crew around. Though Hana specialises in combat flying much more compared to Lena.

Baptiste has a white lightsaber, after having healed his own crystal.

Angela has a green shoto, she really only uses it in self defence since she heavily dislikes having to result to violence and her abilities are much more focused on force healing. She's strong enough to be able to bring someone back from the brink of death (which is what she did with Genji).

Genji has a green lightsaber and a green shoto, tho he also uses various tools at his disposal, like traps or smoke bombs.

Hanzo used to have two blue lightsabers, but he's since put them to rest and now favours an energy bow. Similarly to Cassidy he uses the force to guide his aim, making him a formidable sniper.

Doomfist has a red Saberstaff and he's a kiffar! (He's always wearing gloves or gauntlets of some kind since he has psychometry)

The Saga Begins, and how it seamlessly fits into the Pop star wars AU

I feel like the Saga Begins is the perfect song to represent @nevertheless-moving's Pop Star Wars AU, bc… it's sung by obi wan! From his pov! During the exact time period he travelled to! Makes references to the future obi wan shouldn't know yet! Is somewhat upbeat with an undercurrent of sadness which is the epitome of Obi-Wan – but more than that, I can envision this weird Al youtube video organically existing within the Pop Star Wars universe!

So, the temple knows the Obi Wan had a huge, life changing vision that changed his behaviour and personality somewhat, but they don't realise he also has an Anakin shaped glob of unresolved trauma with a helpful side of survivors guilt and depression that he is very good at hiding from everyone.

And he is somewhat successful at Naboo. Like, he was 100% expecting Maul (and it was a little pathetic how easily he defeated him this time) so he was able to dissassocate from the situation and miraculously not have a flashback of Qui Gon's death mid-lightsaber swing.

So other than being eerily skilled at Soresu, no one notices him or his trauma, just how he likes it.

But on the trip back to Coruscant, someone manages to stab Qui Gon (who was mildly concussed from the fight with Maul so he's just like "oh my it appears i have been stabbed").

And Obi-Wan had only just begun to start relaxing a little bit now that Qui Gon was safe, so he was taking a nap when the stabbing happened. (he hadn't slept for the entire week long mission, or he would not be taking this nap)

So Obi-Wan wakes up relaxed, does a few stretches and contentedly strolls out of his room then freezes.

He can't sense Qui Gon (because Qui Gon is unconscous). He strains to find him and when he does, he can only sense a weak force presence, and when he sprints to the presence he finds the floor covered in blood (mainly the attackers blood bc a concussed qui gon accidentally stabbed the attacker back while peacefully arresting her) Qui Gon lying down on the floor with a stab wound on his stomach and medic tending to him.

Obi-Wan loses it. He screams a guttural "NOOOO!" that's 10 times more grief stricken than the one in his original life. Qui gon couldn't die! Not again! NOT AGAIN! He was sent back to fix this, wasn't he? Why did everything he tried to fix break? Was everything going to be the same this time? Even with him trying his hardest to stop it?

At this point he's cradling Qui Gon's head against his chest like he's already dead and having a full blown panic attack in front of the shocked pikachu face medic and shock pikachu face qui gon who got shocked awake by the scream (the stabbed attacker gets woken up by the third gutteral scream and resolves to rethink her life if she survived this oredeal)

When Obi Wan comes to he sees his dead master and does the whole you're not dead Master!!! Routine

Long story short, an extremely concerned Qui-Gon sends Obi-Wan to the mind healers at the Jedi temple.

So the mindhealers engage in the usual forms of therapy, but Obi-Wan has had time to collect himself and gain his composure (using the tried and true gaslight gatekeep girboss away your trauma method pioneered by Ben Kenobi)

So realising they're not doing anything other than making Obi wan more closed off and in denial, the mind healers decide to try art therapy which kind of works! he paints his feelings and his visions (and in this AU he's not the best painter so he draws things like 2 stick figures fighting with lightsabers with a lot of fire surrounding them and when the mind healer asks him to describe it his eyes fill with tears/he disassociates and gives classic Old Ben cryptic platitudes.)

Obi-Wan doesn't realise he's acting like Qui-Gon when he retreats into his Old Ben persona, but the healers do. And they think he's emulating his master to escape his visions. What they do know of his 'vision' is:

1) Qui Gon Jinn dies somehow

2) something bad happens to little anakin skywalker

Anyway so that's the reason Anakin and Qui-Gon are roped into his therapy sessions. When they're in the room they can reassure him that nothing has happened to them, that recalling a vision of a future that hasn't happened isn't going affect them in the present.

By this point Obi-Wan is not in denial about his trauma anymore (well not as much as before) and he's willing to try new things. But he draws the line at sharing all the details of his 'vision' with anyone. So he goes "can't we go back to the painting? I liked doing the artistic stuff, it helped me process a little bit without hurting too much" even though it was more of him painting and crying and going in circles with the mind healers

And Qui Gon has this epiphany. He has spent 10 years listening to Obi-Wan singing pretentious indie rock in the shower, humming old jedi lullabies while he watered the plants, crooning a soothing tune to their latest pathetic lifeforms, caterwauling emo metal while blackout drunk and giving Qui Gon a migraine–

The point is that Obi-Wan obviously enjoys singing.

"If you can't say it, why don't you sing it?"

And so Obi Wan finds himself writing a song for the first time. Maybe space Don McLean has already released Space American Pie by this point, so he makes a parody of the lyrics. Should he write about everything? Nah, that's too dangerous. Maybe he should write about the events of the past few weeks, but from the old timeline. Just to process everything that happened so far.

Smol baby Anakin is with him while he's drafting the song and he can't help but compare this rosy cheeked Anakin to Vader. And that's when he finally gets the chorus perfected

Oh my, my this here Anakin guy

Maybe Vader someday later, now he's just a small fry

He left his home and kissed his mommy goodbye

Sayin', "Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi"Soon I'm gonna be a Jedi

And smol anakin pretends to be angy that Obi wan called him a small fry but secretly is delighted that the entire chorus is about him.

Obi-wan performs the song for Qui Gon and Anakin one night. Anakin is in bed and begs Obi Wan to sing "that cool song you were writing about just now!"

Cue some Master Padawan angst after Anakin falls asleep and Qui Gon realises he was supposed to die during the mission to Naboo.

Fast Forward a few weeks and it's Anakin's favourite lullaby because its about him! And it has his name! And obi wan looks so fond when he sings the chorus to him! (Qui Gon secretly records it and uploads it to his space youtube channel that no one watches)

And it's on one of these nights when Obi Wan has an epiphany. Bc... didn't space Don McLean make like a billion credits from this song alone? And what about that other annoyingly catchy song that hasn't been released yet?? Etc, leading to the Pop Star Wars AU premise

Ok now, fast forward to the war and General Kenobi has a lot of… dedicated fans. And a very small niche of these fans found the old spaceyoutube video and are like, omg the general is smol, the general can sing! Which leads to the conspiracy theory that general kenobi and the elusive BK are the same person. But it's a fringe theory, unknown even within the fandom and you'd have to dig pretty deep into the cross section of the Kenobi and BK fandom iceberg to find this theory.

Among the hardcore fans who know of it, it's considered a hilarious crack theory that makes a little too much sense (like the Sith Lord Jar Jar Binks theory)

Fast forward again! Another 30 ish years! Big identity reveal! Omg Kenobi and BK are the SAME PERSON! The video blows up. It becomes a meme.

And now, Space Weird Al who specialises in parodies makes an official music video of the song!

He's done extensive research into how everyone from the time period would look like and even managed to source authentic vintage jedi robes for it.

And that's how Obi Wan Kenobi gets shown this video by a gleeful Anakin while Qui Gon sips tea in the background like it's not his fault all of this happened.

And they all lived happily ever after, except obi wan who jumped out the window in mortification.

Introducing - Jedi Commander Kanna Rae

19-22 years old during the course of the Clone Wars

Apprenticed to Jedi Healer Vokara Che at the age of 8 (save for one specific AU where she's apprenticed to Qui-Gon Jinn at 11)

Trained as a Healer with a specialty in Trauma, though she also had Shadow training. When the war began trauma healers were needed more than Shadows.

Several months younger than Anakin Skywalker, but their paths rarely crossed.

Something of a gremlin, but looks sweet and innocent so no one ever blames her for things that are definitely her fault.

One of the few Jedi who are aware of how cursed Coruscant is (the others are Mace and Anakin)

She learned of Coruscant's cursed-ness when she was 12 and decided to go on a jaunt to the lower levels. While on the lower levels, she came face to face with a demon and it took her 3 days to escape his game.

She has a very open crush on Commander Fox of the Coruscant Guard. Open because it's nothing to be ashamed of, and also because she finds it kind of hilarious at how flustered he gets in the force when she blatantly flirts with him.

That's all I have on her right now.
