I found a bracelet that was too small for me but fits her perfectly for her collar! I also have a matching blue one with a gold bead for my bashful bunny when he arrives!

Are jellycats sturdy for being carried around and cuddled? I tend to take a stuffie everywhere and want something different from my four legged ones so I got a bashful inky bunny ordered and maybe a toffee puppy coming but I wasn’t sure if it was safe to cuddle them and carry them everywhere

Sounds like a good choice to me! Most Jellycat toys are designed to be safe for babies, so they're made extra tough to put up with a lot of loving, being dropped, being swung around by the ear and such (having removed the ears from those bunnies, I can assure you they are extremely firmly attached!)

I think your choice of a bashful is also good as their fur, while nice and soft, isn't the super-ultra-soft kind you might be afraid to spoil. The medium ones are also a great size and shape to hold in your arm easily!

I really didn't realise how nice bashfuls are til I made Patchouli this year, but immediately I understood why many people are wild about them haha.

Do you happen to have any jellycats? Are they sturdy for cuddles and carrying? I’m getting a bashful inky bunny and maybe a toffee puppy but I’m not sure how sturdy there are yet

I have a number of Jellycats, but I've slowed my buying of them in the past while because I don't love how they fare after handling. I found that most of mine were beautifully soft and fluffy when bought, but after only a few days of minimal handling they looked ragged. The good thing is that they do wash up well and become fluffy again, and some types of fur don't deteriorate as quickly, but I also feel like I shouldn't have to stick a perfectly clean plushie in the washing machine every other week- I wish they'd just stay as soft as they are when you buy them.

I haven't had this problem with every Jellycat I have though, the newer ones actually seem a bit better than my older ones, so maybe they've fixed this issue!

The little pup pack that came with me to my dad's house! Schenk the Large Toffee Pup! Crumpet the Tuffet Dog! And introducing Scoots the Milo Shiba Inu! I got him BNWT on mercari!! He was definitely worth it and had been on my wishlist for a while so finding him was great! (A little gift from me to me for working so hard through the holiday)

Hello, my dearest Jellycat family. It’s been a while.

I haven’t been feeling myself lately, which explains my lack of posting. It feels like there’s so much going on at once, but at the same time nothing at all. Because I’ve been feeling off, I’ve also felt quite disconnected from most of my special interests, including Jellycats. I miss them and I miss you all. I definitely don’t miss the greedy collectors though, lol. I have quite a few requests in my inbox that I promise I’ll get to at some point.

But for now, I’d like to ask if you could send in some asks and share with me something that has brought you joy recently. It can be Jellycat related, you can send in photos of your best buddies, or it could be something else completely. Let’s spread a little joy and love. I need it. I feel like this community needs it.

Does anyone have advice for looking after jellycat bashfuls fur? my toffee puppy is getting quite well loved and wondering how i can keep his condition up for long as possible.. any washing/brushing tips? thank u

Hi Victor!!! I had the luck of running into what possibly could be a Bashful Toffee Puppy at my local thrift store!

I’m pretty sure it’s him, but I just want to be sure. His tag is cut off :C And if it isn’t a Jellycat it’s a pretty good dupe. What do you think?

That looks to me like a perfectly normal Bashful Toffee Puppy, good for you for finding him and rescuing him from the thrift store. He's a cutie!

Just for your information, people usually don't bother faking Jellycats like the Bashfuls unless they are (special edition) Bashful Bunnies. Fakes are usually also the huge dragons such as Dexter, Onyx, Snow etc. , as well as other super popular Jellycats like the Smudges and Wilf Wolf. If a Jellycat is currently "trending" chances are there will be fakes out there, so just be careful about that. Otherwise, don't worry and happy thrifting! (Forgot to say that you probably won't find fakes in thrift stores but you are much more likely to find them on platforms like Ebay, Mercari and similar online marketplaces!)
