The 29 July of this years will be the second aniversary of my first mystic prince fanfic and first mystic prince fanfic on AO3.

And i kinda want to celebrate it.

So i was thinking that since we are now a small amy of mystic prince lover we could have a mystic prince week starting the 29/07 and ending the 04/08.

I am so glad the new kdramas are bringing back the specific brand of loser men. You know which brand I'm talking about. The Ahn "min min" Minhyuk brand of loser men and I'm loving it. The "I worship this goddess and I'm so in love with her and I can't believe I get to love her. Oh my gods I love her so much" brand of loser men. And we're being fed so well with lovely runner, love next door, no gain no love, my demon, Cinderella at 2am, Hierarchy, Midnight Romance in Hagwon, doctor slump, Queen of tears, welcome to samdal-ri and even good partner (yes it's one sided but the dedication and yuri's couple too).

Jeong Gu-Won didn't understand why he was feeling this way about you, about a useless and stupid human (as he used to call you). He didn't understand these feelings, why he, a demon, was feeling this way.

He tried at all costs to deny his feelings, to keep his mind busy with other things, but he always came back to thinking about you. He couldn't get you out of his head and it drove him crazy.

Jeong Gu-Won gradually became involved in your life, in such a subtle way that neither he nor you realized how involved he already was with you. Sometimes appearing where you were and watching you, protecting you in his own way or just spying on you. Even though he will never admit it.

He didn't want to accept that he was falling in love with a human, that he cared about a human, that he cared abot you. Gu-Won had been in denial ever since he noticed his heart racing when he was close to you or how he came to care about you.

He tried to fight against these feelings, against the urge to kill when someone else got too close to you, with the burning jealousy that consumed him from the inside out, but he couldn't. He tried to stay away from you for your his good, but he always ended up coming back.

Jeong Gu-Won couldn't stay away from you, he tried but he was worried. What if something happened to you? If you ended up being robbed or murdered? You were a human, you could get hurt easily and he couldn't have that.

Basically he became your bodyguard, although he doesn't use that term. He follows you everywhere and when he can't do it, he sends someone he trusts to follow you. He's just protecting you. To say he is overprotective is an understatement. For him, because you are human, you are exposed to risks all the time and must be protected at any cost.

Gu-Won will never admit it, but he is very jealous, bordering on possessive most of the time. He will be seething with jealousy inside when you are around another person, his gaze hardening and he will use his powers against them if they bother him too much. From something harmless, like making them trip, to something really lethal.

He is very polite with you and always tries to be courteous to you, but his bad mood always ends up getting the best of him and he ends up coming off as rude. He doesn't like other people, just you so there's no reason to be polite to them. You are all that matters, in the end.

Once he lets himself accept his feelings for you, Jeong Gu-Won won't let go of it. He really cares about someone other than himself after 200 years of being a demon, he won't let something happen to you. He can't let that happen.

He likes to use his powers to please you, as a way of showing his affection, something he's never really been good at. Whether it's cleaning your house with your powers, cooking for you or taking you to incredible places at any time of the day. He might feel uncomfortable about it due to his ego, but when he sees the amazed look on your face, he knows he won't regret it.

Jeong Gu-Won doesn't know how to deal with what he feels for you in an exactly healthy way, he's a demon and he's been alone for 200 years. He just knows that he cares, that he likes and loves you in a burning and passionate way. He had never felt like this before, not even when he was human. There's nothing he wouldn't do for you, from punishing people who cross you to even murdering anyone who gets too close for his liking.

You are his, after all. And Gu-Won won't let anyone take what belongs to him. Trying to steal something from a demon never ends well.

In the soft morning light filtering through the curtains, Y/N stirred awake to find Jeong Gu-won's gaze fixed on her. His eyes, usually so strong and determined, held a gentle plea that was rare to see. From the moment she opened her eyes, he was there, a persistent shadow fueled by an uncharacteristic need for her attention.

"Please, just stay with me today," he begged, his voice a soft murmur that seemed out of place in the mouth of a man who rarely asked for anything.

Y/N tried to resist, to remind him of the mountain of work awaiting her attention, but Gu-won was relentless. He followed her like a second shadow, his pleas growing more endearing with each passing moment. It was unusual for him to be so vulnerable, so openly in need of her company. After all, he was her husband, the one who had promised to stand by her side, but never to impede her path.

As the hours ticked by, Y/N found her resolve weakening under the weight of his cuteness. Gu-won, the man who had faced down boardrooms and business rivals without a hint of hesitation, was now using every adorable trick in the book to keep her from her work.

Finally, with a laugh and a shake of her head at his antics, Y/N surrendered to his charm. "Alright, you win," she conceded, and Gu-won's face lit up with the victory of a child granted his heart's desire.

They spent the day wrapped up in each other, doing all the little things that couples do when the world outside ceases to exist. They cooked together, the kitchen filled with laughter and the delicious scents of their joint efforts. They walked hand in hand through the park, basking in the simple joy of each other's company. They watched old movies, curled up on the couch under a shared blanket, their laughter mingling with the on-screen dialogue.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the world, Y/N and Gu-won sat side by side, a pair of contented silhouettes against the fading light. the loona situation

there are some things that i think need to be said in the wake of the dispatch chuu article, and that i haven't seen anyone else directly address.

tldr for those who didnt see: loona had a system with blockberry where they shared costs equally, but revenue 70-30 in bbc's favor. this means that if the cost was $100, and the revenue was $100, loona and bbc each paid $50, but bbc earned $70 and loona earned $30, so loona went $20 more in debt to bbc despite the project recouping all of its expenses. these numbers only get worse the higher the cost/revenue ratio is. loona even pays bbc if there is zero revenue, because they get loona's portion of the cost.

functionally, this means that loona stays in debt. forever. according to bbc's numbers, the loona members - even after all of loona's successes and the fact that it makes a net gain now - are all still around $150,000 in debt to the company after 5 years. this is in addition to the other abuses standard to the idol industry, like starvation and mental abuse.

what i want to talk about is this: a series of facts.

1. many of the girls' families were concerned about the promises bbc made to their trainees and thought loona was a scam at best and a trafficking scheme at worst.

2. yves was promised debut within weeks of joining bbc. olivia hye trained for one day. loona 1/3 was flown all over the world for teeny tiny teaser videos. all of this was pre-debut. many of them talk about it seeming too good to be true.

3. go won and olivia hye have admitted they were already starstruck by older members of loona like heejin before even considering joining bbc. they saw their ads at the bus stop on the way to school. they wanted badly to be friends with them.

4. all contracts are individual. any revenue from one girl was given solely to her and applied solely to her own debt.

4a. chuu is the only member who's escaped her trainee debt. her revenue was not applied to anyone else's debts.

6. when a member is in debt to the company at the end of her contract, she can be compelled to renew to pay it back.

7. loona had the most expensive predebut in kpop history.

8. of the 12 members, only haseul, vivi, jinsoul, and yves were over south korea's age of majority — 19 in international age — when they debuted.

8a. of these 4, only vivi, jinsoul, and yves were 20. haseul had turned 19 less than four months ago. 9. kim lip was 18 when she debuted with 'eclipse.' chuu was 18 when she debuted with 'heart attack.' choerry was 17 when she debuted with 'love cherry motion.' go won was 17 when she debuted with 'one and only.' hyunjin was 16 when she debuted with 'around you.' olivia hye was 16 when she debuted with 'egoist.' heejin was 15 when she debuted with 'vivid.'

So I binged Hierarchy on Netflix and OH MY GODS. It's so good. I see people lashing out on the drama because they want UK and Spain type of high school drama but can we please acknowledge that THIS IS ASIA. The standards and morals are DIFFERENT here. Why are you expecting the UK and Spain kinda storyline in a country that's NOT UK or Spain.

It makes each character so very morally grey that you cannot help but root for all of them.

Kang Ha is driven by revenge but truly cares for Jae-i. He also wants to make amends (I think. I don't think he's the one who sent the last message).

Jae-i is a tortured heroine and will go to any lengths to protect the people she loves and I'm here for it. But she's also someone who acknowledged her mistakes and that of her friends. She's also very steady. Like a rock.

Ri-an, again is someone who is accountable. He takes responsibility for his mistakes once he's aware of it but he's also arrogant. But he's so selectively loyal that it just gives Slytherin vibes. He's also a tortured chaebol and loves loves loves Jae-i.

Woo jin is a mastermind. He's kind but he'll do anything and I mean anything for the person he chooses. It's so cool to see him choosing one friend over another. And he's so artistic. He's a kind face but a wicked mind. So morally grey

Yoon He-ra is jealous and prideful. She herself admits that she's a bitch but she's a bitch with morals. I absolutely loved the dynamics between her and jae-i and the way it ended. And seriously. You will grow to love her.

I loved the way they absolved the love triangle also. They made a case for each one of the characters. They didn't make Jae-i indecisive. She was headstrong and steadfast. And it didn't downgrade one love interest over another. Both love and care for jae-i in their own way. Jae-i also doesn't lead anyone on.

And the way Kang Ha made the school take responsibility- it wasn't your typical revenge drama. That's why I think that the last message wasn't sent by Kang Ha. He's not the type to do it.

All the characters are so morally grey. Especially Ri-an. I loved every single one of them. I would totally recommend it because it really is very good. I genuinely hope this gets a season 2.

Jeong Gu-Won may seem like a cold and insensitive guy/demon and that's true, but only to people he doesn't like or know because to you he's a big softie and totally clingy.

He's completely clingy. He hates it when you have to get out of bed and leave him because he wants to cling to you and never leave your embrace. He definitely tries to convince you not to work/study. He has enough money to support you, so why not cuddle with him?

He loves going out with you, taking you on dates and just being close to you. His smile convinces you easily because of how adorable he looks when he's like that for you.

Gu-Won is always keeping an eye on you, in a friendly way of course. His hard gaze softens and there could even be hearts in his eyes, like an emoji, of how in love he is with you.

He loves to hug you! Lots of hugs, from behind, side and front! Any opportunity he gets to hold you in his arms, he will do so immediately. He also likes to put his head in the crook of your neck and smell you.

Gu-Won is always spoiling you and if you like sweets, especially cake, as much as he does, you can be sure that you will never miss them at home. His smile when he eats cake or when he sees you happy are absolutely adorable.

It may seem controversial, but I think he would want to wear couples' clothes. Maybe something not so in-your-face, but a matching blouse or even matching accessories. Maybe even tattoos. Everything to feel closer to you.

He will definitely give you nicknames, some strange and others more loving. Maybe jagiya or something more sappy, but he likes it, one more way to show his immeasurable affection for you.

Gu-Won gets jealous very easily and will make faces, act like a child. In addition to using his powers against those who made him jealous. It could be something harmless or something more... Definite, but he gets clingier than ever when he's jealous.

He loves you, very much. Jeong Gu-Won never thought that he could love someone so much, that he could let himself be carried away by human feelings, but he did it and he couldn't be happier. Because he met you. You are his and he is yours. Plus, he's adorable, isn't he?
