Kim Hanbin - RaeBin (2018 - 2019)

First loves, they had been good friends since the day they met and mutually liked each other for many years but did not date because of the strict rules their company had. Despite the rules, these two ended up hanging out one day in 2014 after splitting away from the other trainees and spent the whole day doing fun activities. When the night was about to end, they confessed to each other and shared a sweet kiss but decided not to go further with anything as they feared being kicked out.

When both of them eventually debuted and gained a little more freedom, they decided to take the next step forward and date. Their members and fellow friends were ecstatic with the news as they had known about their lingering feelings for years and were just waiting for them to finally end up together. They dated for about a year and a half and had the loveliest time together, sharing many firsts.

Unfortunately, their relationship came to an end in 2019 when Hanbin's allegations became public. To protect her, he broke up with her and left his group. Rae was heartbroken, and many people noticed her tears and sadness during their ongoing tour. Speculations arose, linking her emotions to the situation. When Hanbin eventually returned to music, he referred to a failed relationship in his songs and expressed remorse for leaving. Many believed it was about Rae and made theories on their relationship.

Now that many years have passed, they both have a mutual respect for each other and are grateful for being each other's first loves. Rae contacted him on Instagram and congratulated him on his songs in 2022, and they both had a nice chat, filling each other in on things going on in their lives now. They have moved on from that relationship and are much happier in their current situations, but they still will always have that love and respect for the other because, before anything else, they were best friends.

Song Kang - Mikang (Early 2020)

Met in 2018 when they filmed 'Village Survival, The Eight' and ended up becoming good friends. They kept in touch throughout the years and hung out a lot with their mutual friends. They got closer after her breakup with Hanbin and officially started dating during covid when they had a couple of weeks off work and hung out, leading to him staying the night.

They dated for 3-4 months but ultimately decided to break things up. Despite a physical attraction, they realized there wasn't as much of an emotional connection as they had hoped for. She also hadn't moved on from Hanbin and felt that she was using him as a sort of rebound. Feeling terrible about it, she expressed her concerns to him.

Nowadays, both have moved on completely from that situation and try to forget about those couple of months of romance. They realize they click much better as friends and are happy things ended on a good note.

Seo In Guk - RaeGuk (Late 2020 - 2021)

The older boyfriend, Inguk, and Mirae met in 2020 at a salon, immediately hitting it off despite their 10-year age difference. She admired his work and sought something different in her life, while he, getting out of a previous relationship, found her quite beautiful, sparking a nice year-long relationship.

Their relationship was generally great, marked by a mutual respect for each other's careers and a commitment to making time for each other amid busy schedules. However, the age gap eventually posed challenges, as they had different plans for their upcoming years. Inguk, at 33, envisioned something special with Mirae, who, at 23, couldn't fathom such commitments until she was at least 30 herself.

Despite numerous discussions attempting to overcome this hurdle, they reached their one-year anniversary, and when Inguk turned 34, a significant shift occurred. His friends settling down prompted a desire for a similar future. While he wasn't ready at that moment, he discussed his plans for maybe 2-3 years down the line. However, Mirae knew that even then, at 26, she wouldn't be ready. With aspirations for more in her career and a clear expression that she wasn't prepared for that phase, it inevitably led to their breakup.

Nowadays, they are both much happier and thoroughly enjoy their current lifestyles. Since their breakup didn't result from a big fight but rather from the realization that they wanted different things, they often run into each other and say hello without any awkwardness.

Kim Mingyu - Raegyu (2022 -)

Her forever boy, they had known of each other since their debuts but officially became friends in 2022 through their shared friend Yugyeom. They instantly clicked and ended up hanging out as more than friends a couple of months later. He had always harbored a small crush on her since her debut, and after they became friends, he expressed his feelings to her, and she decided to give it a try.

Their relationship is very pure; both of them are well-acquainted with the pressures of being idols, allowing them to be there for each other more effectively. Despite their busy schedules, they always try to make time to see each other and schedule various vacations and trips away.

They balance each other out very well: he is the energetic, extroverted boyfriend who helps bring her out of her shell, while she is the soft, introverted girlfriend who grounds him and keeps him calm. Both share a love for cooking and often find themselves in the kitchen together, experimenting with recipes and trying new things for each other to enjoy. (and Wonwoo)

They both have similar tastes and styles, accumulating a vast collection of matching clothes, rings, and necklaces. This has led to many fans speculating about them, but nothing is confirmed to the outside world.

This couple is currently savoring their time together, having similar goals and dreams they want to achieve before eventually settling down. Overall, she feels that he truly is the one for her and is thankful to have found someone so perfect and is excited to spend many years by his side.

Nevertheless Ep 1: “This jerk talked to much for me to just blame myself”

All the spoilers. All of my feels.

Hoooooolyy shit, I forgot how bad this scene was. Han So-Hee is amazing. Understated, subtle, and very, very real.

It starts with Na-bi walking into an art show.  She approaches an absolutely beautiful, very sexual sculpture.  It’s obviously her, and equally obviously a complete shock, done entirely without her knowledge or consent.

And the motherfucker named it Na-bi, so when he calls her name across the room EVERYONE FUCKING KNOWS the life size sculpture of the girl bent over a table obviously being fucked is her. 

OOOOH I’m so mad.

There’s a bunch of scenes of him being a predictably pretentious, exploitative, controlling twat,  including him being a manipulative little bitch about a condom.

There’s a great little side plot of Yoon Sol and Seo Ji Wan getting together, which is great to see in a kdrama, but it’s also cliche "lesbian falls for straight girl, OPE not straight after all!" and uninteresting, esp since I hate Ji Wan so much

Na-bi has a random encounter with Jae-eon in a pub-he mistakes her for his tinder hook up. He’s hot af, she's instantly smitten, and she’s cute and fumbly, first love vibes

He’s smooth AF, and a little slimy in a way I hadn’t caught before. Like, he mentions wanting to travel and she’s like “with who?” and he gets all weird and quiet and just says “with anyone.” Strange moment.

Anyway, they hang out for a minute, and at one point she hears him talking on the phone to someone who could be a gf. She dips without saying good bye, or getting his name. Eventually she’s finds out he’s her junior at school and gets a surprise intro

Girl is DOWN BAD. Can barely talk around him. And this is the bit that made me think, oh he’s perfect.

She’s obviously RADIATING “I have a crush on you,” like literally all of their friends can see it to the point of openly teasing her. 

And he is so gentle.  Like he reads her like a book, and approaches her like she's a skittish stray cat. Gives her space. He’s friendly, approachable, kind. Makes his interest known, but he doesn’t push. Very soft dom vibes.

If that’s what fuckboy means these days, damn. Send them all my way.

Na-bi gets on my fuckin nerves. Like. He literally gives her a bunch of opportunities to flatly reject him. His approach is seriously perfect. And she’s just fuckin WEIRD about it?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone literally give mixed signals before. SHIT OR GET OFF THE POT, BITCH, YOU'RE HOLDING UP THE FUCKIN LINE.

To be fair, she’s like 21 and traumatized by the Elderly Fuckboy. But like. Come on.

My Demon Episode 8 Recap: A Rollercoaster of Emotions

The tension rises as Gwang-chol attempts to finish what he started, but Bok-gyu comes to Gu-won's rescue, saving him from further harm. Amidst the chaos, reporters capture the moment of Gu-won's vulnerability, documenting the scene with their cameras.   Meanwhile, at the police station, Detective Kyung-soo recognizes Do-hee's innocence but is unable to intervene due to pressure from his superiors. Determined to support Do-hee, he helps her escape and visit Gu-won at the hospital. Seok-hoon drives Do-hee to the hospital, where she is relieved to find Gu-won recovering from surgery.  

A Fragile Recovery and Unsettling Revelations

  The doctor informs Ga-young and Bok-gyu that Gu-won has lost a significant amount of blood and his heart valves are damaged, making his recovery uncertain. Despite the grim prognosis, Gu-won wakes up and teases Do-hee, bringing a sense of relief and joy to her. However, it becomes evident that Gu-won's powers are not enough to fully heal him, leaving him vulnerable and questioning his identity as a demon.   As Do-hee stays by Gu-won's side, tensions rise between her and Ga-young. Ga-young blames Do-hee for Gu-won's condition, but Bok-gyu intervenes and allows Do-hee to stay with Gu-won. Seok-hoon notices the intimate connection between Do-hee and Gu-won, sparking curiosity and concern.  

A Troubled Relationship and Looming Threats

  As Gu-won's condition stabilizes, Ga-young begins to come to terms with the special bond between Gu-won and Do-hee. Even in his sleep, Gu-won calls out for Do-hee, deepening their connection. However, Gu-won's dreams haunt him, as he envisions himself combusting and dying. These nightmares foreshadow the challenges he will face in the future.   Despite his weakened state, Gu-won insists on going home with Do-hee, longing for the comfort of their own space. However, lurking in the shadows, the Arabica woman hints that saving Gu-won will bring trouble for Do-hee. Meanwhile, Do-gyeong receives a message from Gwang-chol, revealing that Gu-won has seen his face. This revelation ignites fear in Do-gyeong, who hides in his room, anticipating his impending death.  

The Power of Love and Sacrifice

  Back at their apartment, Gu-won and Do-hee continue to navigate the complexities of their relationship. Gu-won's powers continue to flicker, and he confides in Bok-gyu about his fears of losing his demonic abilities and becoming more human. These uncertainties weigh heavily on Gu-won as he grapples with his identity and the potential consequences of his changing nature.   Amidst the turmoil, Ga-young confronts Do-hee, urging her to stop using Gu-won and take responsibility for the chaos surrounding them. Ga-young accuses Do-hee of being a trouble magnet and blames her for Gu-won's entanglement in the killer drama. Their confrontation further complicates Do-hee's emotions and decision-making.  

A Heartfelt Confession and New Beginnings

  As Gu-won and Do-hee lie together, their minds filled with thoughts of Ga-young's words, they struggle to find peace. Do-hee's sleep is restless, and she is plagued by internal conflict. Seeking solace, she stands on the balcony and encounters the ghost of Cheon-sook. In their conversation, Cheon-sook advises Do-hee to protect and care for the living, encouraging her to make choices based on what is best for her and those she loves.   Driven by her newfound clarity, Do-hee contacts Seok-hoon, signaling her intention to discuss an important matter. The next day, Gu-won conceals his use of painkillers from Do-hee, and they attend a board meeting together. To everyone's surprise, Do-hee announces her decision to renounce her candidacy as chairperson and give up her inheritance. This revelation shocks Gu-won, leading him to seek answers from Seok-hoon about Do-hee's motivations.   In a heartfelt conversation, Seok-hoon reveals Do-hee's true intention—to protect Gu-won from harm. Overwhelmed by the love and sacrifice Do-hee has shown him, Gu-won finds Do-hee in Cheon-sook's garden and passionately kisses her, solidifying their commitment and love for each other.
