My Mother's Day, Jewish style. Celebrating Motherhood Proud Jewish Style. With Mother's Day approaching very soon, let's take a moment to celebrate mothers. Some years my mother let me know few weeks before Mother's Day not to get her anything. She is saying, "Mother's Day is not a Jewish holiday, right? Don't bother over it or me." And of course, what do I do? Ignore her comments :). Even that, she may have a point because, according to Tora, every day is supposed to be Mother's Day and to honor and revere our mothers at all times. So I'm approaching Mother's Day with the same approach as a Jewish holiday. I Show her my utmost appreciation and love, buying the most amazing card and flowers, take her out for a fun day or dinner because in every Jewish holiday we eat :). but I always make sure my mother continuously experience such feelings throughout the year, and it's not just a once-a-year occasion. Yesh, those are #onionrings I’ve been stress eating them the last couple days because I’ve had my mom when she got sick and was in the hospital a lot on my mind.
