Photo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
#OOTD: Come up with five ten significant full outfits from your character’s wardrobe/life and describe them in detail.
Riley Anderson found fashion was a great way to express their fluid identity and, when they were packing for their dorm, they mused over how far they had come.
Palm tree button up, black tank top, black jeans, crescent moon necklace, & black jeans with a chain clipped to it. Not pictured are black Converse: When Riley started toying with masculine clothing a fun button up with an otherwise muted palette was encouraged to begin. Riley did learn they liked the look, that others did too, but it still felt strange whenever they got gussied up and headed out into the world with this new form of expression. This collection of items started to feel a bit small so Riley had cut the sleeves to turn it into a t-shirt so it could last longer.
Brown zip-up hoodie, plant t-shirt, brown belt, men’s jeans, & brown Converse: There was a brief stint where Riley had thrown away all of their feminine clothing and only kept what every teenage boy would wear. Meg deemed this the Dark Times and they try not to speak of it. This outfit did see the light of day quite a bit and Riley has retired the hoodie for everything but camping trips these days.
Purple checkered blazer, grey checkered trousers, no bra nor undershirt. Not pictured are grey kitten heeled shoes: This photo shoot was taken when Riley haphazardly chopped their hair off and announced to the world that they were nonbinary. No one was really shocked but the look was iconic, they’d scandalized the neighbors by not wearing a “real shirt” or bra, and they had never felt fucking hotter. They still share this photo as one of their best and it always boosts their mood.
Green Nike crewneck, grey track shorts, white running shoes, & reusable bag. Not pictured is the phrase “I’m not swearing! I’m using my Hockey Mom Words!” on the bag: Riley had initially bought the bag for Jill as a joke but then their mom unironically started bringing the bag literally fucking everywhere they went so then it kind of became Riley’s bag semi-ironically and God did it earn Riley some weird looks when they were out of town! Either way, Riley was seen wearing this ensemble quite a bit at the gym and on the bus to games and really just about anywhere. Sometimes you can still catch them in this at Olympus Gym. It’s iconic!
Yellow sunflower sweater and striped pants of pink, yellow, orange, and purple. Not pictured are the purple booties: Color had never been something Riley had shied away from (well, except in the Dark Times but we don’t talk about the Dark Times anymore) so when they had found not only this blindingly yellow top but also the over-the-top pants to go with it? Well, Riley had slapped their newly attained debit card down on the counter so fucking fast. It was the first overtly loud outfit they had purchased with the money they made at Minnetonka Diner and they weren’t about to hesitate! They wore that outfit once a week that summer to the point that Nathan had started calling Riley “Sunrayley” for about two weeks straight. Thankfully it hadn’t stuck!
Rainbow block button up shirt, black belt, and blue jeans. Not pictured are rainbow Converse: Now this is truly an Iconic Riley Look. Riley wore it very early on in their Swynlake career, it’s one of their favorite typical day outfit, and it is their Happy Day Look. Sometimes it’s a I Need A Happy Day Look too but usually not. Riley found that rainbow was really the best way to experience the world and this shirt really spoke to Riley when they saw it on the rack. Simple but fun, exactly how Riley liked it.
Drag King Fit: Pride at Pixie’s had really been something special for Riley. They’d made a bedazzle beard, sprayed their hair silver, and gotten a silver suit to go all out! Everyone had made that event seem like it was the one to be at no matter what! Like it was the biggest event of the year! There was no way Riley was missing that and the fact that Riley got to express themselves in a new way (they were pretty new to drag still) was so exhilarating! Riley hadn’t brought the outfit to the dorm but they definitely treasured it!
Brown pajama tank top and checkered brown pajama shorts: Riley has had a lot of adventures in this exact outfit. They met Nick in this outfit, Jess found out about their powers in this outfit, they wandered around the Boiling Isles in this outfit. This pair was one of the comfiest pairs of pajamas that Riley owned and they found that they had some of the best nights when they wore this. Their powers meant that they astral projected around in their jammies. Might as well make sure they’re both cute and comfy!
White button up, rainbow suspenders and tie, & black pants. Not pictured are black dress shoes: This little outfit was something Riley wore to the ice cream social at the local church back in Minnesota. Seems a little weird, doesn’t it? Well, Riley had recently come out, sure, but their friend Kennan had also recently come out and his grandparents at that church and it had... not gone well. So Riley had made sure to get fully dressed to the nines and go with Meg and Kennan and all of their friends in rainbows and other distinguished queer attire. It had been hilarious, even if they got kicked out without ice cream. They had decided to just hit up the diner anyway after. Kennan had ended the day with a smile on his face and that was all that had mattered.
Red leather jacket, black and white striped shirt, sunglasses, black pants, rainbow dot socks, and white kicks: Riley wore this outfit for the first official outing in the Boiling Isles. They really had no idea what to expect nor did they have an inkling for what they would get themselves into but they were so elated to have gone on that trip. Riley’s entire life would have been different if they hadn’t and they couldn’t have been more grateful for the experience. This outfit lives on!

Top 10 Female Characters
Rules: Name your top 10 favorite female characters from 10 different fandoms and then tag 10 people.
Tagged by @pchberrytea, with many thanks!
Okay, this is going to be good. Let’s see here... this is not and could never be an exhaustive list, but here are ten of my faves off the top of my head. (Warning, may contain *spoilers* for their respective franchises.)
1. Commander Susan Ivanova (Babylon 5)
Tumblr media
Second-in-command of the Babylon 5 station. Suffers no fools whatsoever, especially not gladly. Proudly Jewish, Russian and bi. I love everything about her, not least the fact that she’s played by the gorgeous and talented Claudia Christian. Perennial fave of mine. Needs more GIFs of her, there are never enough.
2. Judge Cassandra Anderson (Dredd)
Tumblr media
Played by the magnificent Olivia Thirlby, newbie Judge Cassandra Anderson demonstrates to her badass boss that you can be strong, capable and compassionate and that there is no true justice without mercy. Reads minds, kicks ass, passes the Bechdel Test. Even capable of rescuing herself. What more could you ask for?
3. Jill Valentine (Resident Evil)
Tumblr media
My zombie-killing heart belongs to Jill Valentine. She was the star of one of my very first favorite games and I just adore her. Strong, smart, just, compassionate and lovely in every way. I will incidentally ship her and Carlos for all eternity (Chris Redfield who?)
4. Morticia Addams
Tumblr media
Bewitchingly beautiful, morbidly lovely, full of style and grace. Adored and worshipped by her husband, Morticia is a woman of many talents. She fences, paints, writes, plays the violin, tends to a conservatory of carnivorous plants, makes black the new black, harnesses the forces of darkness, crushes the whole “being a mom” thing, and dances like nothing you’ve ever seen. 100% iconic.
5. Ellen Ripley (Alien, Aliens et al)
Tumblr media
World’s best space mom and cat-lover. Wasn’t trained for any of this, but since nobody else was capable of saving the day, she stepped up and made the Alien Queen her bitch. Interplanetary problem? Call Ripley. She’ll kill it with fire. (The franchise did her wrong and we all know it, but she will always be the best.)
6. Rose DeWitt Bukater (Titanic)
Tumblr media
A bit of a spoiled brat, I know, but my favorite poor little rich girl was born into an incredibly restrictive lifestyle that she never asked for, or wanted. The hell with table manners and tea parties and privilege - Rose wanted to be free to ride horses, fly planes, and do whatever the hell she pleased, instead of being married off to a jerk-ass millionaire against her wishes to save her mother’s sinking social status. Ironically, the only person for whom traveling on the Titanic was a literal lifeline. Faking her death and starting over so she could live the life she actually wanted is just #goals. (And so, incidentally, is her wardrobe.)
7. Empress Emily Kaldwin (Dishonored)
Tumblr media
Empress, assassin, heir to her mother’s throne, and the product of a doomed love affair - Emily is a fascinating young woman, passionate in every way, trying to walk the line between the call of duty and the lure of adventure. Although I usually play as Corvo, who is Getting Way Too Old For This Shit, I love a good playthrough of Dishonored 2 and seeing all the cool stuff that our favorite Lord Protector taught his badass not-so-secret daughter to do in defense of the realm - and herself. We learn along with Emily that her caring and dutiful mother had something of a wild, romantic streak (she hated her own iconic hairdo because she preferred having her hair loose and flowing, and would much rather have been off in a rowboat for a picnic with her beloved bodyguard than sitting through tedious matters of state), and as we get a good look at the young woman who now has to fight for control of her own damn Empire, we can kind of see where she got that passionate, rebellious streak from.
8. Sansa Stark (Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire)
Tumblr media
So you thought Sansa was a spoiled princess who only cared about dresses and sewing and boys? Well, she was at first. Unfortunately she was in for a very rude awakening, and since she isn’t a trained killer like her little sister, Sansa is forced to make etiquette her armor and play politics in order to survive. She endures (amongst other things) forced marriage, political imprisonment, the deaths of most of her family and friends, her own aunt attempting to murder her, a fucking zombie apocalypse in her own back yard, and having to put up with some very creepy bullshit from an older guy who had a crush on her mom (eww). Frankly, giving her a kingdom of her own to rule after all that was the least they could do. Long live the Queen in the North.
9. Edith Pelham (née Crawley), Marchioness of Hexham (Downton Abbey)
Tumblr media
Poor Edith! She’s always getting kicked around by her big sister, ignored or taken for granted by her parents, and being disappointed by suitors, who have an unfortunate habit of dying, running away, already being married - and in at least one instance, all three. Fortunately, she learns how to hold her own in the high society “scandal and quiet female rebellion” stakes. Over the course of the series, she eventually finds her own voice and vocation, and ends up bagging the best husband of them all... and she was cemented as my forever-fave when she finally snapped and told Mary what she really thought of her. Good for you, Edith.
10. Mothra (Mothra, Mothra vs. Godzilla, Godzilla vs. Mothra, Rebirth of Mothra trilogy, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, et al)
Tumblr media
No list of my favorite female characters would be complete without the Queen of the Monsters! Sometimes she’s on Godzilla’s team, and sometimes she has to show him who’s boss, but no matter how and where she appears, Mothra never fails to steal the show. A literal goddess. Last on this list only because she’s 10/10.

Prepare for Chalamania! Why Timothée is Hollywood’s ultimate new-gen golden boy
PEOPLE Don’t underestimate a pretty boy. As he blesses us with two new blockbusters, Timothée Chalamet is the real deal, says Susannah Butter
London Evening Standard
21 Oct 2021
FROM the moment Timothée Chalamet appears on screen in Wes Anderson’s new film The French Dispatch, the message is clear; never underestimate a pretty boy. Chalamet plays Zeffirelli, a chain-smoking, thoughtful young man who is leading a fired-up group of student protesters sending the government into a frenzy. We meet him when Frances McDormand’s character, a journalist, pulls back a shower curtain and finds him having a cigarette in the bath, naked but for an artfully styled towel turban.
It is an impeccably choreographed scene and sure to delight Chalamet’s cabal of fans, taking Chalamania to new heights. They have been in overdrive this week with not one but two new movies out starring Chalamet — as well as The French Dispatch there is Dune, director Denis Villeneuve’s $165 million adaptation of the sci-fi novel (also made into an ill-fated film by David Lynch in 1984) in which Chalamet plays the central character Paul Atreides and submits to so many close-ups of his sweaty upper lip that it may cause some kind of earthquake. If that is not enough, he is here in the UK filming Wonka, the chocolatier’s origin story.
He started this week at a London Film Festival party with his Dune co-star Zendaya, spectacularly suited in a blue mushroom print Stella McCartney number. Chalamet has form on fashion — he co-chaired this year’s Met Gala and reinvented smart casual, looking elegant dressed as a modern day knight in white satin; a tuxedo jacket, polo neck and Converse. Chalamet, 25, has been acting professionally since he was a child. But his trajectory hasn’t been smooth — he lost out on the role of Spider-Man to Tom Holland
and Dune’s director previously rejected him for a role in Prisoners. So how did Timmy, as his friends call him, become the man of the moment? “He feels authentic and bridges male and female sensibility, which speaks to current culture,” says Jessica Ronane, who cast him in 4,000 Miles at The Old Vic, which the theatre is trying to reschedule due to the pandemic. “He has innate charisma and his appeal is enhanced by the fact he exudes thoughtfulness, with a gentle, open quality, plus an inquisitive eye and that draws us in. His beauty is delicate and he has an easy physical style; the girls admire him!”
Yet after his role in 2017’s Call Me by Your Name, he is also an LGBTQ+ icon. For Art, a Chalamet fan who broke the internet when he spotted the actor filming Wonka in Dorset
this month, the actor inspires a very particular type of adoration. “He brings an electrical level of energy, shining a light on a different kind of masculinity in a way that feels long overdue; I know it makes me and a lot of others feel like we have a place in the world, and I think that’s why he has such a huge audience of young people, queer people and people who feel like they’re slightly outside. It’s become such a thing to talk about his androgyny as a fashion moment but behind that there’s a lot of people who feel enabled to make bold choices and embrace a less rigid approach to gender expectations, and still be embraced and celebrated for that, because of him.”
But this goes beyond beautiful bone structure. Casting director Jill Trevellick says: “He is an extremely good actor with a great deal of integrity as a performer. He is charismatic and unpredictable; a one-off.” He has also made shrewd choices. Trevellick says the roles he has picked show that he can take on a broad range of parts and make it impossible to predict how his career will go, “which is a good thing”. “Also, when market forces are at play, directors will want stars who have shown they can draw a big crowd.” There is a virtuous circle; Chalamet has more than 14 million Instagram followers, who comment adoringly under his often gnomic captions, and these numbers are attractive to directors.
The Standard’s film critic, Charlotte O’Sullivan, says: “Not getting Spider-Man gave him the opportunity to take the road less travelled. As demonstrated by Call Me by Your Name. Playing a trilingual teen who falls for an older man sounds niche. Chalamet isn’t scared of niche. He’s chosen his roles carefully, appearing in few generic movies. And even in so-so stuff (Hot Summer Nights or A Rainy Day in New York) he adds his own blazing spin to drab lines. His two best performances (Call Me by Your Name and Lady Bird) combine aloofness with openwound sensitivity.”
Chalamet grew up in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. His mother, Nicole, is half Russian and half Austrian and started out as a dancer on Broadway before going into real estate. His father, Marc, is from Nimes in France, was a journalist and worked at Unicef. He has an older sister called Pauline who is also an actor — she starred in Judd Apatow’s The King of Staten Island — and has a lively Instagram feed, sharing book recommendations about ethical banking as well as clips of her dancing. They are close and Chalamet says he is lucky to have a sister who has taught him about feminism.
They spent their summers in France and Chalamet is bilingual, he “dreams in French”. He went to LaGuardia, a performing arts school, where he briefly went out with Lourdes Leon, Madonna’s daughter. Then he studied cultural anthropology at Columbia, but dropped out after a year because his acting career was taking off. He started out playing people’s sons, first the vice president’s spoilt child Finn in Homeland in 2011 and then Matthew McConaughey’s son in Interstellar in 2014.
Call Me by Your Name was the role that changed everything. He was Bafta and Oscar-nominated for his emotionally intelligent performance, and launched a thousand memes for the scene where he does unspeakable things to a peach. From there came a partnership with Greta Gerwig and Saoirse Ronan — they worked together on Lady
Bird and Little Women. It was Lady Bird which made Wes Anderson want to cast Chalamet in The French Dispatch. He told GQ Magazine that he was impressed by how thoughtful he was while filming, “he would pause and find a new
angle… and surprise you with something new, completely unexpected and perfect”. Chalamet bonded with Frances McDormand and went for steak with her and her husband Joel Coen, grilling him about film. He seeks out the wisdom of industry elders, going for lunches with Larry David and bonding with Oscar Isaac while making Dune.
Wonka has been his most controversial film yet. He follows in the footsteps of Johnny Depp, who starred in a remake in 2005 (back when Depp was an uncomplicated actor). Chalamet went out with Depp’s daughter, LilyRose, in 2019 after they were in a film called The King together. He was upset when they were photographed by the press on a boat in Capri and people said their relationship was a PR stunt. Last year, he was linked to the Mexican actress Eiza González, who was in I Care a Lot and Baby Driver, but is believed to be currently single.
What’s next? O’Sullivan says “it’s hard to say if Chalamet is getting better as an actor. He’s been flawless from the beginning. It’s maybe truer to say that a prestige blockbuster like Dune doesn’t blunt what makes him special; that he is (as yet) incapable of appearing ubiquitous.” Dune is already the toast of the box office, making nearly $130 million so far, and there will be a sequel. He’s also filming a project with Succession director Adam McKay, co-starring with Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio. But Londoners are looking forward to when 4,000 Miles is rescheduled at the Old Vic. With Chalamet on board, it will be the hottest ticket in town.

We’ve got a Resident Evil reboot cast with lots and lots of familiar faces.
Me:😬😬😬😭😱
We can count how many good video game adaptations have been made so far, and the pieces in the Resident Evil film series certainly aren’t among them, although perhaps the cult of the first part of 2002, The Hive, has developed in some circles. But now! Netflix is also attacking with a series on the subject, which looks very promising based on the first info, and we’re also getting another movie that will re-emerge to win game fans on the big screens as well. The latter finally came to light in his cast, which is more than encouraging. You can see the names in parentheses with their previous movies / series and their iconic characters in the list below.
Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Movies) - Claire Redfield ⬇
Tumblr media
Hannah John-Kamen (The Ant and the Wasp) - Jill Valentine⬇
Tumblr media
Robbie Amell (Flash - The Lightning) - Chris Redfield⬇
Tumblr media
Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy) - Albert Wesker⬇
Tumblr media
Avan Jogia (Zombieland: The Second Shot) - Leon S. Kennedy⬇
Tumblr media
Neal McDonough (Yellowstone) - William Birkin⬇
Tumblr media
Fans of games certainly don’t need to introduce any of the characters, but for those who don’t know them, let’s say a few words about them! Claire and Leon were last seen in the Resident Evil 2 remake, they were the protagonists who teamed up in Racoon City to survive the zombie apocalypse and the appearances of Mr. X, who traversed everyone and everything as an unstoppable terminator. We also saw Jill Valentine again in the processing of Resident Evil 3, she was also the protagonist, as was Chris Redfield, who will play a more important role in the promised Resident Evil Village by 2021. Opposite them, Albert Wesker, head of a police force called STARS, is a returning negative hero who was the last major enemy in story 2005 in Resident Evil 5, but also appeared as a playable character 10 years later in one of the game modes in Resident Evil: Revelations 2. William Birkin is also an antagonist in games who was the protagonist of Resident Evil 2: he created the G virus and is partly responsible for the release of the T virus.
Based on the characters listed, it can also be guessed that Resident Evil’s reboot will be an origin story that is promised to faithfully follow the story of the Resident Evil game series since 1996. The film takes us back to 1998, a key night in Racoon City’s history, and the infamous Spencer residence will also be a highlight in it. (Source: Deadline)
The film is directed by Johannes Roberts (47 meters deep), who is said to be a big fan of the games, written by Greg Russo (new Mortal Kombat film) and produced by the long-established Constantin Film (Seventh, Sixth Sense, and of course The Hive). We hope you get off to a good start and forget about The Hives branded by Milla Jovovich and Paul W. S. Anderson!
Infomartion IGN hungarian web.
Me: happy who. but when I saw them they look like. "what the hell fucking choices are these!"
Tumblr media
I wasn’t happy to see these, but I only accepted some of them. So? I think you think so too, maybe.
Chris Redfield = very good!
Claire Redfield = maybe
Albert wesker = maybe good...
but these two! terrible very much!
Me if there was a Re6 movie then I would choose this actor! Alexander Skarsgård maybe
Tumblr media
I don't even want to see this actor in Avan Jogia! I do not need you! and Jill the same! they look even better @netflix !!!!
I really didn’t like why. because others sure don’t like it especially those who are character fans. I’m just saying better looking Leon kennedy and Jill Valentin!

20 MOVIES WHICH FEATURE BEAUTIFUL ARCHITECTURE
Part # 1: HOUSES
The purpose of this blog has always been to explore, through film, buildings that we may not have the chance to visit in person. With many of us stuck at home right now, that kind of cinematic escape feels more appealing than ever, so here’s a bumper list of some of my all-time favourite residences in movies.
1. I AM LOVE (2009) A Jill Sander-clad Tilda Swinton is the matriach of a wealthy Milanese family, living in Piero Portaluppi’s 1935 Villa Necchi.
2. A SINGLE MAN (2009) Architectural enthusiast Tom Ford teams up with a Mad Men production designer, and casts John Lautner’s 1949 Schaffer Residence in a starring role.
3. COLUMBUS (2017) Along with several other Modernist icons, this sylish indie beautifully showcases Eero Saarinen’s Miller House.
4. CONTEMPT (1965) Adalberto Libera’s Casa Malaparte stars as the island home of Jack Palance’s sleazy movie producer, and the venue for his seduction of Brigitte Bardot’s Camille.
5. BEGINNERS (2010) Neutra’s Lovell Health House (which also appears as the home of Pierce Patchett in LA CONFIDENTIAL (1997)) is here cast as a much-loved family residence, a role rarely assigned to modern architecture in films.
6. FRACTURE (2007) Peter Tolkin’s Sherman Residence stars alongside Ryan Gosling and Anthony Hopkins in this legal cat-and-mouse tale.
7. THE BIG LEBOWSKI (1998) Modernist architect John Lautner provides the villian’s Lair: Jackie Treehorn lives in the 1969 Sheats-Goldstein Residence.
8. THE GIFT (2015) This engaging twist on the home invasion genre unfolds almost entirely within David Clark’s Mid Century Sherman Oaks House.
9. BLADERUNNER (1982) Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1924 Ennis House provides the exteriors for Deckard’s apartment, and its Mayan-inspired blocks were used as a design cue for many other elements of the production.
10. NORTH BY NORTHWEST (1968) The Modernist Vandamm house remains one of cinema’s most iconic villain’s lairs. It was actually an elaborate set, designed to resemble the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, whose style Hitchcock wanted to evoke, but whose fee he could not afford.
11. THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO (2011) As per usual, the bad guy lives in a stark, minimalist mansion - in this case John Robert Nilsson’s beautifully-sited 2009 Villa Överby.
12. BOTTLE ROCKET (1996) In Wes Anderson’s first feature, “rich kid” Bob Mapplethorpe lives in Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1958 Gillins House.
13. GHOSTWRITER /THE GHOST (2010) The contemporary residence where this atmospheric thriller takes place was actually not a house, but a set, built amongst sand dunes.
14. FERRIS BEULLER’S DAY OFF (1987) Cameron lives in the A. James Speyer- designed Ben Rose House, built in 1953. The pavilion was added in the 70′s as a showcase for the actual owner’s sports car collection.
15. THE ICE STORM (1996) The Carver family’s 1970′s glass and steel residence is of the Philip Johnson knock-off variety, but still offers beautiful views through plate glass to surrounding woodland.
16. MON ONCLE (1958) In this, as in several of Jaques Tati’s films, modern architecture is beautifully showcased, yet simultaneously cast as the butt of the joke.
17. MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO (1988) The first time i saw this, I coveted the idyllic Japanese country house as much as any ‘real’ building i’d seen on celluloid, with its adjacent bathhouse and study opening into the garden.
18. EXHIBITION (2013) The story of two artists’ relationship with their Modernist London townhouse, this beautifully-shot film is striking in its austerity, minimalism and restrained pace.
19. PARASITE (2019) A minimalist hilltop mansion in Seoul becomes a vessel for a cinematic exploration of social inequality.
20. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER (1971) Reminiscent of a early-Bond Ken Adam set, John Lautner's Elrod House provides the venue for some acrobatic vengeance from scantily-clad villains Bambi and Thumper.  Photo: Casa Malaparte by Francois Halard
