The only person who should be allowed to have those stupid goddamn little tiny plastic hands is Jiminy Glick.

just a lil yandere phinks and feitan dream
I had an amazing dream last night where I'd been kidnapped by a yandere Phinks and Feitan, and they were dragging me from place to place in this city which was like... mostly indoor interconnected buildings. Occasionally there was an indoor hallway or public space but mostly it was just going from room to room. Sometimes you'd walk out of a book shop and it'd be someone's house. It was strange.
They took me to a thrift store and let me get some Babysitter's Club books but Feitan balked because i wanted to buy like... 40 of them, and Phinks argued that I should be allowed to have a lil collection since I was being really cooperative, and Feitan kept asking where they were going to keep several dozen Babysitter's Club books (a fair question, in his defense).
At some point though, I got lost because they told me to go out the front door of this lady's house and wait for them, but the front door led to some plane terminal where you had to sit down in these passing revolving seats right away or you'd get knocked off a platform (As is normal, apparently).
I sat down and tried to figure out how to get back where I came from, but it took me to (apparently) NYC. And I was freaking out because I knew that Phinks and Feitan would probably assume I'd run away, and I knew they threatened to kill my friends and family if I ever did, but since they used burner phones all the time none of the phone numbers I called were getting through.
I ended up on a film set with Jiminy Glick (bear with me, I binge watched Jiminy Glick clips while playing the Skip-Bo app right before I did my nightly yandere blog readings before going to bed) as the director, and he eventually got tired of my shoddy assistant job--because I was not a film assistant, I tried to tell him, but a lost captive trying to get back to what were going to be two very pissed off captors--and fired me so I wandered around the city looking for another terminal to take me back home.
Somehow I found my way back to the original city and I vaguely remember Phinks and Feitan finding me before I woke up because of my alarm.
This is still my favorite Feitan dream though.

I think you absolutely nailed it with your description of Drummond's Prime Eggman voice when you said it sounds flat. It's lacking the range and energy that Mike brings to Eggman. No hate to Drummond at all, I enjoy hearing his voice in a lot of other things and he obviously tried, but you're right - Mike has such great range and power in his voice that it's extremely difficult to copy that.
Yeah it's pretty expected to sound off already regardless of who does it after the really unique voice Mike has given to him for so long with a type of gruffness that's a lot harder to pull off than most, and how he's got the whole Jiminy Glick inspired peaks and valleys in his tone thing going on. The power and range in his voice is incredible, he's without a doubt one of the best actors the series has ever had in general and it's no wonder they've kept him around. 💜
Brian's kinda sounding like an attempted impression of Mike's isn't doing it favors as it emphasizes the flatness in comparison. His voice isn't bad of course, it just doesn't have the energy and power it like Mike's does. But it'd be better to see Brian try to change it up a bit and find something that works for him like Mike did after initially doing a Deem impression. I don't doubt his talent and I'm sure he has it in him to deliver something great.

Comedian Jared Goldstein: working with 5SOS was a “dream job from heaven”
'How did the 5 Seconds Of Summer sketch come about?
That was a dream job from heaven. As soon as I knew I was going to be writing sketches for someone famous, I immediately thought of Martin Short’s character Jiminy Glick. He’s one of my absolute favorites, and those interviews just kill me.
It was so fun to write it and then do the interview. They really trusted me, and I felt that. They’re so down-to-earth and welcoming. They’d suggest things for sketches, but so politely. These guys are millionaires! It was so exciting when it came out online because their fans are so in love.'
