Authors Note: Why hello there, Angel. Surprise surprise, haru is back with yet another random mini fic that they had absolutely no plans for but are too busy to write longer things! I made a custom wheel  to decide what I would write for you guys today! I’ll probably use said wheel a lot in the future since no one really sends in requests:<  I do hope you guys enjoy this fluff fic as much as I enjoyed writing it! <3

Warnings: None! Seonghwa is an absolute sweetheart, Clingy!Seonghwa, reader calls seonghwa “an angel sent from above” Triggers: none as far as I’m aware!

Park Seonghwa. Just hearing the love of your lifes name had a bright smile coming to your lips. That man. The man who swooped in and changed your whole life. For the better, obviously.

It was pure luck that Seonghwa just happened to walk into your cafe that fateful day right after your boyfriend of 2 years had dropped you. His reason? You weren't ready for sexual intercourse and he couldn't live with that. Instead, he had gone out every weekend for the past seven months and cheated on you with a woman named Kana.

Seonghwa risked scandal and saved you from a particularly mad businessman who claimed his order was wrong. It wasn't. It was a habit to reread not only a customer's order several times but also how to make the order. 

The man clearly just wanted to get his order for free, many people had tried the same thing before. You always gave them the same response though. That you were sure it was right, but if it wasn't, you'd toss the current and replace it with the right order without a refund.

This made the customer angrier, threats spewing out of his mouth at you until Seonghwa stepped in.

You were grateful his usual cafe was shut down on that day, because otherwise you never would've met him.

You wouldn't be where you currently were. Laid in Seonghwa's arms as he slept. Just laid there admiring his beauty. He had beautiful pink hair when the two of you had met, but over the years together he had done so many different things with it before leaving it black.

Black was definitely his color. His hair felt so, so soft as you ran your fingers through it. Burying your face further into his chest.

It was moments like this you treasured most with him. You didn't get them often anymore. 2024 was Ateez's year and unfortunately that called for your sweet boyfriend to be away more.

Making as much time for you as he could, which you appreciated more than he could ever know. There had been plenty of relationships before for others that hadn't worked out because one partner was too clingy and the other had no time for them.

You and Seonghwa weren't like that though.

Gently unraveling his arms from you to go start on breakfast, just for him to snatch you back to him. Looking down to him to see if he was awake, but he wasn't. Or so you thought.

Attempting again, but stopping once his beautiful voice rung out, deep and raspy, filled with sleepiness.

“ Stop trying to leave me. ”, “ I was going to start on breakfast for you, My Love. ”, “ It can wait. Just lay with me for a while. I wanna spend as much time with my beautiful girl as possible. ”

You couldn't hold back the smile that immediately came to your lips at his words. Relaxing into his grasp and wrapping your arms gently around him.

“ You are a beautiful Angel sent from above, Park Seonghwa. ”, you spoke before shutting your eyes to sleep with your lover a while longer.

Unfortunately because of this the two of you slept through both breakfast and lunch, but you didn't seem to care much. You were both glad to have been able to spend a little extra time with each other. You and your Angel. 

Park Seonghwa, was nothing short of an ethereal being sent from above to care for you

I am working on the Jin fic slowly, but I don’t know when I’ll have that out due to moving, so hopefully this suffices for now! Kengo: His full name in kana is an anagram for Ichigou (U-ta-ho-shi Ke-n-go -> Ho-n-go-u Ta-ke-shi)

Yuuki: Straight up reference to Riderman (Joji Yuuki -> Jojima Yuuki)

Tomoko: Her last name, Nozama, is "Amazon" backwards

JK: Shares initials with X (Kaizou Jingu -> Keisuke Jin)

Miu: Also an anagram, this time for V3 (Ka-za-shi-ro Mi-u -> Ka-za-mi Shi-ro-u)

Shun: A bit of a wild one for Nigou- his last name, Daimonji, uses the kanji 大, a combination of the 一 from "一文字" (Ichimonji) and 人 from "隼人" (Hayato)

Gentaro: Now, this one is really a stretch, but his name is supposedly a pun on Stronger. I don't buy this one bit lmao

The Honey Jar Factor

Summary: Yukihira Jin finally had a chance to ask Hayama Kana out, and this time, he won’t take no for an answer.

Jin was never the one to make the first move.

It was hard to believe, but it was mostly because a lot of people read his charm the wrong way. There was no way in hell Yukihira Jin would whisper sweet nothings to a girl’s ear or lightly brush their skin in a sexy kind of way-- those were rumors he shook his head at.

Really, all he ever did was asking said girl, in a very low voice, how’d she make that godly zucchini puree, and spatted her arm playfully when she told him it was a secret unless he’d get down with her in the nearest janitor’s closet.

So it was quite puzzling when all those girls were barking up on him like they were fighting for territories, but the only girl he’d ever make a move on, did not even bat an eye.

He sighed at the thought. Head resting on a kitchen’s lab window pane, just a little behind a certain cotton candy haired girl so he could watch her move so gracefully. Whatever she was creating, he knew it was going to be wonderful.

But then he saw her struggling with a jar of… honey? That was his thought judging by the amber color. And it seemed natural for him to finally showed his nose chimed in casually.

“I can help with that.”

Jin said with such ease that it got her attention. It was pretty obvious that she was startled-- she probably thought she had been alone all this time.

“W-What are you doing here so late?” 

“I can ask you the same question.” He walked closer. “It’s almost 8, Kana-san.”

“We are not on a first-name basis, Yukihira-kun.” She reminded him.

“Why aren’t we on a first-name basis, then?”

“Because we barely talk?”

“Well, then I’d blame you.” He grabbed the honey jar she was struggling with earlier, “I always try to, but you keep popping out new tricks to swat me away like I’m some kind of fly.”

“I-I don’t--” Then Kana sighed, “Alright look, I have my hands full right now. Why don’t you just say what you want to say now?”

With a smirk, Jin handed her the newly popped jar. “Ah, so now you’re finally giving me the chance.” 

Kana shrugged, “So?”

“Yeah fine, I know. A girl like you may think I’m that hotshot who swings around doing bad things with his big Harley, woo girls, fool around with them for a while, and then ditch them before repeating the cycle. Probably the kind of guy your dad warned you about and want you to stay away from. Does that sound familiar?”

Yes, Jin knew he observed well, that was why Kana’s features turned sour as she folded her arms.

“And your point is?”

“You judged me way too fast, Hayama-san.” He confronted. “Please, feel free to argue if what I said isn’t true.”

“Well, I’ve heard rumors about your behavior with girls, Yukihira.”

Jin scoffed-- this girl really was stubborn, “C’mon now, those are called ‘rumors’ for reasons. And now that I know, it’s not fair for me because you’ve been judging my character all this time, yet here I am-- still unfairly attracted to you.”

Now, she was silenced. He’d like to think that it was her green eyes, that struggled to avoid his hazel ones, or simply because she secretly felt the same way.

“You know we’d be great together, Hayama-san.” Jin tried to convince her, “Our moms are best friends too. Imagine if we finally get married and--

“Alright, alright! Would you please back up waaay further?” Kana attempted to hide her blush by massaging her temples, but fine, he went too far with that one.

“So is that a yes? So you’d go out with me, right?”

She shrugged-- so much for being hopeful, alright. “I’m not sure, Yukihira-kun. I don’t know if I can trust you.”

“Okay, how about one dinner?”

“What?”

Really, he wasn’t the type of guy who’d just give up, “Yeah, one dinner to change your mind. Free dinner doesn’t sound bad, eh?”

“And then what do you expect to get out of me?” Kana lifted her chin.

“Absolutely nothing!” Jin reassured, “One dinner, and then feel free to choose if we’re good together or not.”

“How would I know you’re not going to put something in my drink and, I don’t know, take advantage of me?”

He thought his offer was pretty good, but it took him aback when Kana still questioned his intentions like so, but he laughed once his mind processed how ridiculously paranoid that sounded.

“Gee, Kana. What kind of movies have you been watching? And don’t you realize what kind of hell my mom would put me through if I do things to you?” 

“I guess that’s right.” She said.

“Soooo? What are you waiting for? For real though, I’m a decent guy, and I don’t just say it to convince you. Ask around if you must.”

Now that must be somewhat assuring, or at least his marketing made her think about his offer, and to him, it looks like she was seriously considering it. Once again, she refused to meet him in the eyes.

“You’re not… gonna give up until I say yes, are you?”

He confidently shook his head at that.

“Fine. One dinner.” Kana sighed, “But that is it! Not a date!”

“Yessss!” Jin balled a fist, obviously not trying to hide his excitement, “You won’t regret it!”

“Did you hear me just now?”

“Loud and clear, Ma’am.” Jin winked.

“Then you shouldn’t be too excited. My dad would have rules.”

“You’re already talking like we’re dating. I’m not complaining.” He chuckled, dipping a spoon in the honey jar, “Which we are, right?”

And he knew just to flee before Kana’s eyes popped out of her face.

The setting is VirtuaLand, a cyber world in another dimension—.

The story begins when the “Goddesses,” which consist of Neptune and friends, and the VirtuaLand idols Mewtral are summoned as saviors by “Fair,” the cyber goddess of the planet EMO in VirtuaLand—.

The crisis that occurred on EMO was “invasion and destruction of content by the Anti.” This disturbance has also affected real-world networks, and even real Virtual YouTubers have ended up in this world.

Dec. 12 - Anime Log

Since I started/finished a few anime today, I decided that I wanted to list my thoughts for each of them. I was debating whether I should’ve put this on my spam account, but I decided that this account might be better.

 Anime:

I’m going to work backwards starting with Zetman’s first impression. 

The art was pretty good. TMS Entertainment is a studio I don’t actively search through, but I found out that I watched a lot of their anime. They definitely have a lot of hits including the Detective Conan series, Yowamushi Pedal, Megalo Box, and since we’re talking about it, they did Kamisama too. 

The music didn’t stand out too much, but it’ll take some time to grow on me. This part always goes like that since I find that a score grows more with the progression of a series.

Okay, but the biggest letdown was probably me finding out that Romi Paku was going to be replaced with Daisuke Namikawa for the main character’s child vs adult voice. If Romi can be Edward, she can be Jin. Besides that, Mamo and Kana Hanazawa are solid picks for literally any roles.

The story, characters, and presentation seem a bit like a mix of Code Geass and Devilman. Hear me out. Devilman is probably more obvious (I’m referring to Devilman Crybaby). They both are a bit on the explicit side, they both depict violence with demon-like creatures, and they both use the common thing of, “You see this mortal you like? It would be a shame if something were to happen.” Code Geass was brought up because of the two protagonists. One is a bit of an anti-hero while the other has an arguably warped sense of justice. Let’s just see how this plays out. So far, this seems like a far more palatable but different version of Devilman. I couldn’t even finish that series because it scared and scarred me too much.

Kamisama took me a really long time to finish. I kept picking it up and dropping it because I found the characters to be a bit... lacking. I heard this was a classic shoujo anime, and I’m not necessarily the target audience, but I find myself enjoying it from time to time. 

I find that art palettes always look a bit pale for some reason. I find a lot of anime during those years did though. The character designs made a lot of characters look more emo than they needed to be, and their eyes look like they have that pencil stuff (edit: eyeliner). Their eyes are also already very large. 

The story is more on the lighthearted side. There are some overarching stories, but it’s mostly episodic with outside conflicts. Like a lot of shoujo anime, it’s mostly about the growth of the relationship with the two romantic interests and the futile efforts of anyone who isn’t the main love interest.

We have the cold-tsundere-ish Tomoe, the playful seems-like-they-can-be-a-cutesy-yandere Mizuki, the average heroine Nanami that becomes head-over-heels for the main character, and a few other side characters here and there including that dad who went out to buy milk and never came back and the feminine guy who fabulously wrecks things up. Other characters appear episodically. There’s also a fish guy with the underappreciated wife (that episode made me laugh a little), a purple-haired supernaturally being who falls in love with that mortal who’s voiced by Ryohei Kimura.

I paused watching it three episodes in then stopped again after episode seven then took it to the end. It really wrapped up nicely at the ending, and I really like series that end well. That usually boosts it up in my books.

I wanted to save Dame x Prince for last because it’s something that surpassed my expectations, and that’s because I thought it was going to be terrible.

Just like many reverse harems, it’s based off an otome game which means it’s about a bunch of ideal guys with the same faces competing for the same girl while trying to remain true to their trope.

But this anime doesn’t take itself seriously, and that’s where it makes itself different. None of these guys are ideal except for maybe... Teo? But even then, he’s not even listed in the main cast. Let’s go through some cast introduction:

Not Your Typical Otome Protagonist (VA: Sayuri Yahagi) - She’s realistic, she calls out these guys on their bullshit, and she even says to the guy, “I don’t want your self-portrait.” She’s immune to all the guys’ so-called “handsomeness”.

Feather Boa (VA: Kaito Ishikawa) - egotistical bastard who has servants follow him to give him lighting, mirrors, and confetti. He’s the first in line to the throne, but all he cares about is making women swoon and getting an artist portrait of him literally every month.

Flower Boi (VA: Yuichiro Umehara) - take a shot every time he says, “My little flower (ohana-chan)” then you will die from alcohol intoxication. Personally, I prefer Umehara’s lower voice because it sounds more badass, but this role was... something else. He’s a womanizer as well. Also, if you call everyone pet names like that, you don’t have to remember their actual names. Good to know. 

Sunny Child (VA: Soma Saito) - I thought he was a girl. I was wrong. Even the main character thought he was a girl. He’s so bright that they didn’t even censor his dick, he just censored his whole body in a glowing light. He looks creepy.

Every Tumblr User Ever (VA: Ryohei Kimura) - He complains about the sunlight melting him, he has a waifu, he’s directly creepy regarding his waifu, he would protect his waifu at all costs, he stays up reading manga, and he is socially awkward. Yes, Ryohei voices both his character and his puppet waifu. 

Manure (VA: Tomoaki Maeno) - He’s the only normal otome-standard guy here, and he’s supposed to be like that. He also fills in the childhood friend trope.

Ugly Blob (VA: Ayaka Saito) - She’s supposed to be the cute mascot, but the protagonist summons her through a self-described vague (seriously, the characters say, “This stuff is vague as hell”) process. She even says, “You’re ugly... in a cute way though!”

Most episodes actually made me laugh because of the writing and how stupid it was. They don’t have an actual overarching story until... maybe near the end? Everything is mostly antics and whatnot. There’s a stereotypical onsen episode in there too. They even say, “Great, a hot springs episode. Just what this anime needed.”

Music was pleasant enough. The OP was standard and forgettable, and the EDs were too (but they were sung by certain seiyuu). I don’t remember much about the score. The animation wasn’t bad because it didn’t demand that much. Usually, these adaptations have ridiculously bad animation quality anyways.

Seiyuu did a good job. This was probably due to the fact that the writing wasn’t something straight of a Twilight fanfic or something. Pretty much all the seiyuu that were cast have a good amount of experience, so I’m really not surprised.

Score: 7.4/10 (that’s pretty darn good considering the genre)
