It’s The Sugg Life (Part 2)- Joe Sugg

A few months later…

Life had been different without Joe, it had been slower and calmer. You hadn’t heard from him since you’d split up. After that you’d taken time away from everything, social media mainly. Your way to tackle hate was to avoid it. After everything that had happened you left London, deciding to visit a few places that you’d never been to before. You travelled the length and width of the country, visiting Inverness, Cardiff, Norwich and Jersey. In fact, it had been the best month of your life so far. Just switching off had been good for you.

Now though, you were making your final stop in Jersey. It was the last place you’d visit before heading back to London to carry on with your life.

As you boarded your flight, you sent a message to your friend Chris. He was supposed to be picking you up from the airport once you’d landed. The flight to Jersey was a short one, an hour over all, therefore, it gave you very little time to contemplate what you’d say to Chris once you saw him. After the whole thing with Joe, you weren’t sure about how he’d react to you even though you’d been friends for years now.

Soon enough, your plane had landed in Jersey. You felt the nerves begin to build up, you were irrational. You knew that, but there was something bothering you in the back of your mind. Almost like the what-ifs were becoming too much. Before you knew it, you were through the airport and outside in the fresh Jersey air. You glanced around for a few moments before spotting someone flailing their arms at you, it made you laugh quietly. Walking over, you embraced Chris when you were close enough. He returned your hug tightly.

“Hey (Y/N), how’ve you been?” He asked caringly. You smiled at him.

“I’ve been alright, it’s been nice to take a break from everything, you know?” You replied.

Chris guided you over to his car and placed your bag into the boot. You hopped into the passenger seat and buckled yourself in. Chris soon joined you and began driving. You could feel the elephant in the room.

“So, how are things?” Chris started. You sighed a small sigh, you knew that this was coming.

“Honestly, not great. I miss him Chris, but I don’t know if I can ever go back to that part of my life. I don’t know if I want to.” You looked down at the floor of his car, taking interest in the trim of the floor mats.

“Then don’t. If it’s not what you want, then don’t do it. You need to take care of yourself (Y/N).” Chris replied. You saw him let out a small, reassuring smile. It made you feel slightly better to know that one of your good friends still supported you. You’d lost friends over the past few weeks, it just proved to you that sometimes you really don’t know who your true friends are.

Soon you arrived at Chris’ house. You grabbed your bag out of the car and followed Chris inside. He showed you the guest bedroom and left you to get settled in. You popped your bag down on the floor and pulled your phone out, sitting down on the bed.

You scrolled through some of your messages, replying to those that were important like the ones from your family and ignoring others. One message caught your eye though. It was from Joe, simply saying,

“Hey, can we talk?”

You stared at it for a moment, you didn’t know how to feel about it, unsure on whether you should reply or not. Taking a breath, you decided to reply.

“What do you want Joe?”

You replied, annoyed after everything that had happened. That was when your phone rang. It was Joe. You deliberated your options before hitting the answer key.

“Hello, Joe.” You said in a flat, disinterested tone. You heard him sigh.

“Hey (Y/N). How-how have you been?” He asked with a small falter in the middle. You could feel a sadness inside of you reappearing that hadn’t been there for a while.

“I’ve been ok.” You lied, you couldn’t tell him how you’d really been. “What about you?”

You heard him sigh. “I’ve been ok too.” There was a pause for a few moments, it felt like an age to you.

“(Y/N), I’m sorry for what happened. I really am. I should have stood up for you, but I didn’t. I never meant to make you feel the way that I did.” He blurted out. Your breath caught in your throat, not knowing what to say you let out a small squeak.

“Thank you. But I don’t know what you want me to say, Joe.” You replied, your voice trembling slightly.

“I didn’t want you to say anything, I just wanted you to listen.” Joe replied, he sounded relieved in a sense but also sad. You made a noise in acknowledgement, allowing Joe to keep speaking.

“I miss you (Y/N), I want you to come home.” He said genuinely. You felt a sinking feeling in your chest. This is what you were unsure about.

“Joe, I don’t know about that.” You said, your voice laced with sadness. Joe’s breath caught. You could hear it.

“Please. Just please come home.” You could hear his voice crack as he asked.

“I’m sorry Joe, I can’t. I’m sorry.”

You hung up the phone and threw it on the floor, not wanting to look at it anymore. The pain you felt was intense and raw, tears streamed down your face. Your breath catching in your throat as a sob escaped. You couldn’t believe what had just happened.

It was a new beginning, you just weren’t sure if it was for the best.

Sorry I've been MIA

Thank you everyone who still looks at my blog and reads my stuff. It really does mean a lot to me. I took a break from writing because I couldn't keep up with all the requests, my work (I work 38 hours a week, that's 5 days a week, with lots of overtime and 24 hour shifts.) and because I started a Youtube channel, which is something I've wanted to do for years so was taking time to focus on that. I'm in the process of moving house and the change has really invigerated me to get back to my writing. I've honestly missed it and missed talking to you guys. So writing will be slow. I'm honestly going to try my best and get back into writing so I might be a little rusty and things might not be tagged in the right places. To start with I'm not taking on any new requests, ships or prompts (sorry guys) I want to try and get out some of the ones you all sent. Hopefully soon I will be posting a brand new promt list with some new promts on once I'm back in the game, I will be writing for the same group I do now, maybe even adding some people ;) Once again thank you all for sticking around and I can't wait for you to see whats coming up!

I took inspiration from this prompt - Take your favorite couple and write one (or more) one-shot(s) describing “the first time and the last time” they did something together.

The First Time You See Each Other

It was a sunny day in London, odd for British weather as it was normally raining, therefore you were making the most of the warmth. Sitting on a park bench, pondering over the most recent book you’d read, questioning certain aspects of the plot line and the personalities of the characters was something that you enjoyed doing, especially when you were outside. It did, however make you much less observant so when you heard someone sit down next to you, it startled you. You turned towards the sound and were met by the gaze of a man who seemed to be around your age.

“Hi.” He said slightly awkwardly. You smiled at him, taking in how he looked. His blond hair caught the sun making it seem even blonder and his eyes were a sparkling blue colour. He was handsome, you couldn’t deny it.

“Hello.” You replied, you were curious as to what his motive for speaking to you was.

“I’m Joe, and you are?” He asked, giving you a cheeky grin.

“I’m (Y/N).” You glanced down at your hands curled up in your lap, feeling slightly awkward. You’d never been the most social person, finding small talk and conversations with new people to be uncomfortable. Joe smiled and tried to reassure you.

“Hey, I just wanted to see if I could get your number. Would that be ok?” He questioned. You bit your lip in thought. You hardly knew him but a part of you wanted to take this chance.

“Sure, can I have your phone?” You asked. Joe handed it to you. Quickly, you typed your number in and handed it back to him. He smiled widely, it was sweet to see.

“Thanks, I need to get going now. But I’ll text you.” He stated before standing up. With one last quick smile he turned to leave. You watched him walk away, down the street and into the distance. This was out of your comfort zone to say the least, but you hoped it would be for the best.

The Last Time You See Each Other (For Now…)

You had been walking through the streets of London with Joe when a few of his subscribers spotted you both and came over for pictures, you had no issue with that and even offered to take the photos for them to which they agreed, but not before making a few comments about you. They referenced your weight and your appearance while they were stood with Joe, yet he said nothing. Not a word to defend you, so you did it yourself.

“Please don’t speak about me in that way while I’m stood right here.” You stated, they all turned to look at you and giggled slightly, one of them raising an eyebrow at you. She walked over to you and muttered so only you could hear.

“You’re a slag, we all know that you’re just using him for his money.”

You felt something snap inside of you, you wanted to go for this girl. No one has the right to speak to you like that. Words were exchanged that turned into a shouting match in the street. You saw Joe walk away relatively quickly, leaving you to fend for yourself. Once it was over you walked away, heading back home. It only took you about ten minutes to make it back there but it seemed like so much longer. You eventually stepped through the door into your flat. You were met with silence. You walked through the flat, looking for Joe. You needed to explain fully what had just happened.

You walked quietly towards your shared bedroom where you saw Joe perched on the edge of the bed. You knocked on the door and slowly entered the room. He looked up and caught your gaze. His face turned sullen, returning his focus to his hands.

“Joe.” You went to speak but he didn’t look up, he didn’t even acknowledge that you were in the room. You frowned, slightly confused.

“Joe.” You repeated, again he didn’t acknowledge you. You could feel yourself getting frustrated with him.

“Joe! Will you just listen to me?” You spoke with a louder tone than usual, his eyes snapped to you. His face was a picture of annoyance, blue eyes sparking with anger. Two and a half years after meeting and two years into a romantic relationship, this was becoming a regular occurrence, the hate from subscribers, the fights it caused, it was all becoming too much.

“No! I won’t listen to what you have to say. You had no right to do that.” He practically yelled back at you, squaring up to you. You glared at him.

“I had every right, I will not be harassed in the middle of the street anymore. I’m sick of being treated like this.” You retorted, referring to the situation that had caused this.

“Well maybe you deserved it.” He seethed, you could see him shutting you out, rebuilding his defences and alienating you. You felt pain, the pain of losing someone you love. Your heart was breaking, you couldn’t do this anymore. You couldn’t go on like this.

The hatred, the arguing, it needed to end.

“Joe. I’m-.” The words stuck in your throat, a lump forming. You could hardly breathe but you needed to get this out. “I’m done.”

Finality. That was what this felt like. You turned and walked away from Joe when you heard a mumble. You looked back over your shoulder and saw that he was watching you.

“I’ll come get my stuff in a couple of days.” You stated and then walked away, refusing to look back this time. You knew your resolve would crumble if you did. You needed to get away, and that’s exactly what you did.

summary: where things between you and joe heat up word count: 1k+ a/n: part two???? hmmmm,, also ive never rly written anything smut related (theres barely any in this) so im just getting used to it sorry if this isn’t up to par x  // He was just a friend of a friend, for the most part anyway.   Casual encounters at parties, or nights out in the many clubs their circle of friends ventured to.  It was always small jokes and the occasional innuendo, never anything more.  Everything you knew about him came from other people, because in all honesty, he was quite impossible to read.  He could be broody, lighthearted, and anywhere in between within the span of an hour.  With Joe, you never knew what to expect.  He was dubbed a mystery in your mind. But that was the fun in it. Trying to piece together the most minuscule bits of him was exhilarating.

 As weeks turned to months, you found yourself thirsting for his presence.  You jumped at any opportunity for even a few short minutes around him.  Whether it be to watch the Maynards, who had introduced you to him in the first place, make an appearance in one of his videos, or a quick bite to eat where you tagged along, a day in the park —anything. You kept your curiosity hidden behind your smirks as best as humanly possible. But still, you were worried you were becoming obsessed with what secrets were held behind those blue eyes.  I mean, who wouldn’t?

As time went on, the two of you began spending so much time around each other that a real bond was beginning to form.  Although you were still more than intrigued by him, he was becoming a friend of your own in the process. You no longer needed a middle man to make plans.  The excess company was no longer necessary.  Even with the comfort that came with a friendship, you still walked on eggshells around him.  One wrong move could potentially ruin it all, and it was a risk you weren’t willing to take.  The friendship, as fulfilling as it possibly could be, wasn’t what you craved.  You were positive he hadn’t ever looked you in that way, and it was a torturous reality you had to face.  Having him in your life as just a friend was better than not having him in your life at all.

 You knew Joe and Jack had plans that afternoon to film something together, another one of Joe’s outrageous ideas that somehow worked.  As terribly as you wanted to invite yourself over, you stayed cozy in your bed, intertwined with blankets, listening to the soft hum of the television all morning.  You couldn’t make your fascination any more noticeable than you already had, making plans had to be on Joe’s term from then on.  

Mid afternoon, the familiar buzz of your phone went off on your nightstand.

Joe: Can you come over to Jack’s? It's important.

Confused, you quickly replied, agreeing to his request.  It wouldn't have been an usual text if he had given some context, which he almost always did. Nonetheless, fifteen minutes later you were out the door.

The ride was under 10 minutes. You admired the scenery of your favorite city as the driver tried to make small talk.  You thanked him before paying your fare, and walking towards the familiar building.

 You had hardly knocked on the door when it swung open to reveal Joe, with a grin on his face.

“You good? Where's Jack?” You asked, adjusting the fabric of your shirt.

 “He wanted to shower really quick before we started, and I thought some company would be nice,” he replied.

 “I thought something happened!” You said, playfully hitting his arm. “You said it was important.” You walked a few paces in front of him, heading towards the couch.

 “My loneliness is important, Y/N, and I knew you'd jump at the chance.”

 Stopping in your place, you felt your heart drop into the pit of your stomach. What the hell was he on about?

Spinning around, you locked eyes. But before you could get another word out, you were backed up against a wall, his arms pressed against it.

 “I know what you’re up to,” he murmured, his breath hot against the edges of your neck. “I know what you’ve been up to all this time.”

 Flustered, you played the innocent card.  “I don’t know what you mean, Joe,” you replied shyly.

 He let out a small laugh. You watched intently as he parted his lips, gliding his tongue over his front teeth.  Electrifying every sensation throughout your body, he pressed your figure further against the wall.  His fingers playfully traced the curve of your hip.

 “I see the glances you think I don’t, I’ve always seen them, you’ve never been very careful, Y/N. I don’t mind them though,” he whispered.

 You heard the water from the bathroom come to a halt, signaling Jack would be out in no time.

 “So what if I have?”

 “Like I said, I don't mind. Just wish you'd stop being such a tease,” he whimpered. His hands were making their way under your shirt, the warmth of his palms dancing around your skin. “I know you want to.”

 You peered around the corner, anticipating Jack’s arrival at any second. “Not here, Jack’s gonna be out any minute.”

 He was lightly sucking on the skin above your collarbone as you try to withhold a small moan. “Joe,”

 “Y/N…” he mocked, “come on, we can tell Jack we have to run to the store or something.”

“We can't,” you protested.

 Why after all this time did he have to start something now? At Jack’s of all places, he really couldn't have initiated it any other time?

 The knob to the bathroom door turned, and you jumped out from underneath Joe, trying desperately to fiddle with your hair to cover up whatever remnants was appearing on your neck and chest.

 The first thing that came from Jack’s mouth was, “Y/N’s here?”

 You shot him a friendly smile, waving. “Hi, sorry. Joe just texted me he needed help with something.”

 “Alright, let me just get changed and we can start filming,” Jack added.

 You and Joe nodded in unison as he sneakily placed his hand on the center of your ass. He pressed his face close to yours before whispering “just so you know, we’re finishing that later.”
