✰ he enjoys most of cannibal corpse’s discography but his preferred/main albums are tomb of the mutilated or gore obsessed along with enjoying thy art’s infinite death EP

✰ because of the soundtrack of the movie, clearly vincent/the sinclair brothers listen to rock music and because of the time period & the way he dresses, vincent definitely listens to more nu-metal and alternative stuff

✰ his go-to bands are koRn, slipknot, type O negative, sometimes deftones if he’s feeling good, and ofc you can’t forget mcr

✰ vinny loves all the koRn albums (up until 2005) especially follow the leader since it was the first album he heard by them and has several shirts for the band such as this

✰ this is the one character i’m tossing the movie time period out for since obviously there wasn’t any metal music in the 60s, so, we’re setting this in the 2003-2006 era since that’s when tommy’s movies were made

✰ another thing before we get started, i’m fully aware of the history of mayhem & burzum and if you don’t i encourage you to look it up read up on it since it’s very interesting let alone important to understand the black metal genre (and to pay respects to dead & euronymus)

✰ so, because of the hectic household, tommy really needs something to drown it all out while he’s in the basement and when he was introduced to black metal and death metal, it was perfect (and yes i know some black metal bands are satanic and i don’t hc that tommy listens to it for that reason)

✰ his go-to bands are mayhem, cradle of filth, cannibal corpse, a little opeth, and possibly dying fetus

✰ honestly, he’d probably pick and choose albums he puts on his playlist if he liked one song so his playlist(s) would be long enough to listen to it at least twice in a day while he works

✰ [modern hc] tommy would probably fall asleep to something like xasthur’s screaming at forgotten tears

✰ 100% owns a mayhem tank top/muscle tee and wears it when he wants to get out of his “work” clothes plus he thinks the art on it is neat

✰ much like vincent, he’s constantly told to turn down his music. hoyt’s always yellin’ at him and callin’ him names since the music is “distracting” him from his chores when really it’s what’s keeping him going

0104 is like my favorite slipknot ship and in this post I will elaborate on their sillyness <3

✦ they are mostly fwb with heavy crushes on each other. sometimes they act as if they're dating even though they are not and probably won't ever. they don't know each other's sexualities

✦ jim often sits in on joeys self-harm sessions and helps with aftercare. nothing feels better than jim wrapping bandages around joeys arms or legs.

✦ jim likes to pin joey over the drum set for shits and giggles. make outs go crazy

✦ 01 often lays in bed with all encompassing pain that no pain killers can help and that just doesn't go away and 04 just sits in. makes sure he doesn't do anything drastic

✦ they call each other when they're in distressing situations or are on the edge. they have talked each other down from suicide a few times now

✦ joey loves texting jim stupid shit at 2 in the morning and while jim doesn't understand most of it he appreciates the effort

✦ jim loves to serenade to joey during practice and sometimes even shows.

✦ joey constantly fights with jims nicotine addiction and keeps trying to get him off of smoking. not to much avail

✦ joey has asked jim to put out cigarettes on him and while he complied for a while, eventually joey's arm was covered in blisters and jim refused to continue

✦ when they're off tour joeys place often overgrows with trash and useless things and jim comes over to clean it up and pull joey out of his depressive state

✦ joey has often calmed jim down from panic attacks by holding his hands and forcing him to look at him. it works better than some may think

✦ jim loves jokingly blowing smoke into joey's face. as an invitation to fuck even though joey often misses the hint.
