Byler Cinderella!AU, except Mike wants nothing to do with the ball, so he purposefully gets in trouble to stay home, (his parents also punish him by telling him to do the chores), and Will is the Prince who (temporarily) runs away from his own ball, not wanting to “marry a nice woman and settle down”, as Hopper put it. (No one in his family knows he’s gay… yet)
Will successfully escapes from the Kingdom, making sure to leave behind no trace of where he was going. And why should he? He’ll just be back later anyways. Now, Will has never really been in the eye of the public, not being as extroverted as his adopted sister Jane, (they called each twins though), and not having to be out there like his reluctant older brother.
He sits there for a while, before the other wakes up, and then begins the interrogation, starting with, “Are you hurt anywhere?” Will is at first flabbergasted. He doesn’t know where he is, where wouldn’t he be? He shifts uncomfortably, before shaking his head. “Are you mute?”, comes the next question, and Will just gawks. After a few more weird questions, Mike finally asks the other for his name, and what he was doing passed out in front of his home. “My name is Will, and as for your other question,” he makes up an excuse for it, not wanting to know he’s a prince. After all, it might be a freeing feeling. They actually hit it off after that, and although Will does offer to help with the chores, he’s completely useless in that area - all off the servants normally do all the work, the only thing he really excels at is painting and drawing. So Mike just eventually tells the other (after many mistakes), to sit down and he’ll take care of it himself.
They get to know each other a bit more, and they find out each other’s hobbies, and interests, and dislikes. Mike tells him about his in royalty, Wills says they are not bad, “pushy sometimes, but not bad.” Mike just shrugs at the comment and moves onto something else. “Hey. Do you think you can show me one of your paintings sometime?” Will nods ecstatically. He was glad to have recognition for his hobbies and not his status for once. Poor Buff Byers. :(
Will then looks at the grandfather clock, it was way past midnight - the ball has ended. He turns back to Mike and smiles. “Well, I better go. My family will be worried, and they are a bit overprotective of me.” Mike snorts, “Why did you sneak out if you knew your family would be worried?” Will’s smile widens. “I already told you, I wanted some space from home.” Then, after a beat, he says, “hey, do you think I come over tomorrow?” And thus becomes the start of a beautiful romance.
Also, Jancy happens at the ball because I say so, and they are so adorable together, just like Lumax, Rockie/Vibin and Duzie. TwT
Plus, another plot device! :0
It’s not like Will and Mike could get publicly married anyways, but Mike would definitely be freaking out about it for no reason. (Mike also checks out Will’s muscles on the second visit, lmao)
Another throw away prompt, I’m getting good with these spontaneous ideas.
Anyways, use this as you wish, and again, I’ll be stalking AO3, waiting! UwU

Bittersweet
Steve Harrington x Fem OC
pairings: Steve Harrington x Indie Holland
synopsis:
Indie Holland has harbored a quiet affection for Steve Harrington since childhood. Known around Hawkins High as 'King Steve' for his effortless charm and enviable locks, he's remained blissfully unaware of Indie's distant admiration.
However, the mysterious disappearance of Will Byers, the younger brother of Indie’s best friend, shatters the small-town calm. Initially dismissed as a simple case of a lost boy, the situation grows more alarming when Indie's sister, Barb, vanishes under similarly strange circumstances.
Thrown together by fate, Indie joins forces with Jonathan Byers and Nancy Wheeler to unravel the unsettling events unfolding in Hawkins. As they dig deeper, they uncover a dark and sinister reality far beyond their worst fears.
Steve, too, is drawn into the chaos, his path colliding with Indie’s in ways neither could have predicted.
warnings: cussing, smut, angst, smut, violence, death, blood, gore, the upside down

The soft hum of the chatter among other students was a constant backdrop to Indie’s life, a steady reminder of the mundane yet comforting routine she clung to. The worn pages of a book she occupied herself with her sanctuary—a place where she could be alone with her thoughts and escape from the world that often felt too big for her. The dim light cast a warm glow over her features, illuminating the quiet contemplation that was a frequent visitor in her life. Her back tucked into the corner and her head down as she hid behind her long hair, waiting for Johnathon Byers her best friend, to arrive.
She’d known the Byers boy since they were in elementary school, both having been bullied by the other kids at school for being outcasts, so they stuck together. Finding a friendship with one another as they tried to navigate high school. Jonathan was a year older than Indie, in the beginning of his senior year while she was just a junior. Soon to be completely alone once he graduated.
Indie’s older sister Barb was best friends with Nancy Wheeler, a popular girl who had always been nice to her. Yet not nice enough to invite her to sit with them at lunch. Since Barb started hanging out with Nancy, Indie had seen less of her sister. They’d been close her entire life until Barb started high school. Nancy got closer with the ‘cool kids’ and would drag Barb along, not that she was ever accepted fully into the group. The popular kids didn’t like girls like Barb and Indie. They were geeky.
Indie was 5’3 and chubby. She had long curly orange hair that fell to her lower back and thick glasses. She was extraordinarily normal, not a thing about her stuck out. And she preferred it that way. If she could stick to the sidelines then she’d never be hurt, staying away from people would keep her safe. She liked sticking to her daydreams, where she could imagine her life differently, like she was the main character in her book, and her hot warrior boyfriend was the one and only -
Steve Harrington, on the other hand, was a fixture in Hawkins High’s social scene, the epitome of popularity. His world was one of bright lights and high expectations, a realm where his effortless charm and easygoing nature made him the center of attention. Yet, despite the many people around him, there was one person who remained firmly on the periphery of his awareness—Indie.
Indie had been in love with Steve Harrington for as long as she could remember. It was a love that had blossomed quietly, hidden away. Steve, with his tousled hair and carefree smile, had always seemed like a distant star—beautiful, untouchable, and forever out of reach. The depth of her feelings was something she carried with a kind of resigned acceptance, understanding that the love she harbored was a one-sided affair. She had long accepted that Steve would never spare her a glance, let alone know her name.
Steve Harrington, oblivious to the heartache he unknowingly caused, moved through life with an air of confidence that seemed impenetrable. His world was one of parties and laughter, of friends who flocked around him like moths to a flame. And Indie? She was a ghost in his world, an inconspicuous figure that existed only in the background of his life.
As Indie sat alone in her and Johnathon’s favorite spot in the cafeteria reading her romance novel and trying to forget the weight of her feelings, she caught sight of Steve across the way. He was with his friends, laughing and joking, completely unaware of the quiet turmoil that raged within her. It was moments like these that reminded her of the chasm between their worlds—a divide so vast that it felt insurmountable.
Yet, despite this, Indie found solace in the small moments she allowed herself to imagine—a world where Steve noticed her, where he saw beyond the facade of her shyness and recognized her for who she truly was. These daydreams were bittersweet, a mixture of hope and heartache.
In the grand tapestry of life, Steve and Indie were threads that rarely, if ever, intersected. For now, Indie was content to remain in the background, her love for Steve a silent song she sang only to herself. She had come to terms with the reality of her situation, understanding that some stories were never meant to be told, and some hearts were destined to remain untouched.
As she watched Steve from afar, a soft sigh escaped her lips, a silent prayer for the impossible. And in that moment, Indie felt a quiet resolve to embrace her place in the world, no matter how invisible it seemed. The world might never know the depth of her feelings, but that was a reality she had learned to accept. For now, she would continue to find comfort in her small corner of the diner, away from the glaring lights of Steve Harrington’s world, content in the knowledge that some loves are meant to remain unseen. The invisible string theory holding their souls just without of reach until the time is right.

✦ THE WAY YOU SAID “I LOVE YOU” — JONATHON BYERS X READER
Tumblr media
warnings: angst !!!! lots and lots!!!!
a/n: not proof read :)
Tumblr media
You looked at Johnathon, the guy you hadn’t seen in quite a while ever since you two broke up. He smiled at you softly, bringing you into a small side hug before letting you go. “How’ve you been?” He mumbled to you as you shrug, “I don’t know— decent, i guess.” You respond.
You didn’t know, actually. You really didn’t. It hasn’t been that long since you two broke up and he’s acting like nothing really happened— yeah, you don’t know what he’s going through deep down— but it still hurt to see him like this. You sigh and open up your bag, handing him his stuff back that you had borrowed from him.
He also gave you his stuff back, “Well, that’s about it, right? Have you got anything else?” He asked you as you shook your head. “No, i don’t.”
He nodded and gave you a small side hug once again, “Well, i’ve got to get going now.” He says to you before walking away. You caught up with him, “I’ve got to go this way anyway, sooo, do you not mind me walking with you?”
“No, i don’t at all.” He smiled to you as he looked down (or up if you’re taller). You noticed and looked over at him before he looked away. You asked him what his plans were for the day and he said that he was hanging with nancy and they’re going to be watching a show. You felt your heart drop a little but you didn’t let it bother you.
“I’m going this way now so, have fun with what you’re doing.” Johnathon says to you before walking away, not giving you a second glance. You stood to the side a bit and sunk down the wall, thinking about what he just said to you. Him and Nancy? I thought he wouldn’t wanna be with her but.. all of a sudden, he wants to hang and watch a movie?
You felt tears brimming your eyes, you didn’t want to cry in public so you did your best to hold it in. You remember the first time he said “I love you”. You guys were sat in an area of the town where no one really went, you were on his lap and he was chuckling over what you were talking about.
You were saying something then the words accidentally popped out of your mouth. “I love you more then that.” Your voice soft, immediately apologising afterward for blurting it out. Johnathon blushed and shook his head, “It’s fine it’s fine, I love you too.”
Then after that, every single time he said I love you, you felt your heart growing warm inside. When you went to go watch a movie with him in the cinema, hanging out under a tree on a hot day, cuddling in bed, before sleeping, while having intimate moments, after making you cry accidentally, when you were having a meal together and you payed.
You brought your knees to your chest and placed your head onto the top of them. Fuck.

New Fic Rules/Guidelines
I’ve been gone for a while now - I’ve been lacking inspiration.
But here’s an updated Fic Rules/Guidelines post. I will write angst, fluff and smut (no minor characters - they would have to be aged up at least to 20 but even then not for all characters)
As far as smut goes just about anything goes - this is an 18+ blog so if you are a minor I do not want you reading my works. If you choose to read my works you are doing so are your own risk.
Fandoms I will write for:
Stranger Things: Steve Harrington, Eddie Munson (obviously) Robin Buckley, Nancy Wheeler, Dustin Henderson (sibling reader), Lucas Sinclair, Mike Wheeler, Will Byers, Johnathon Byers, Joyce Byers, Max Mayfield (older best friend)
The Walking Dead: Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon
Marvel: Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Tony Stark/Iron Man, Steve Rogers/Captain America, Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Peter Parker/Spider Man (fluff/angst)
Horror: Ed Warren (The Conjuring), Billy Loomis (Scream), Laurie (Halloween), Richie, Eddie, Beverly, Ben, Stanley etc. (as kids fluff/angst. As adults anything’s game) (It Chapter 1 & 2)
Anime fics are on hold at the moment.
Asks are open and I am still working on my conjuring fic as well as cooking up a Stranger Things/ Mixed! Witch Reader fic.
I’ve been lacking motivation lately but things are coming! I will be following this up with a prompt list as well!

The Death of Will Byers
Bittersweet chapter six

The gentle rapping at the door echoed through Indie’s quiet house, pulling her from her troubled thoughts. As she opened the door, the sight of Jonathan Byers, his eyes red and swollen from tears, struck a deep, empathetic chord within her. Without a word, she stepped aside, allowing him into the sanctuary of her home, a place that had become a refuge for those battered by the inexplicable events engulfing Hawkins.
Jonathan stumbled in, his frame sagging with the weight of his grief. Indie quietly shut the door behind him, her heart heavy with sorrow for her friend. She guided him to the living room, where the soft cushions of the couch offered a small comfort for his shaking body. Jonathan sank down, burying his face in his hands, his sobs muffled but heart-wrenching. Indie sat beside him, her presence a silent offer of support, her hand resting lightly on his back, moving in small, soothing circles.
After a few moments, Jonathan lifted his head, his eyes meeting Indie’s. The pain reflected in his gaze was palpable, and it mirrored the ache in her own heart—not just for Barb, but for all the losses they were enduring. "It’s Will," he choked out, the words heavy with finality. "He’s... he’s gone, Indie. He’s really gone."
The room filled with a profound sorrow at his words. Indie felt a tear slip down her cheek as she reached out, taking Jonathan’s hand in hers, squeezing it gently to ground him—to remind him he wasn’t alone in his despair. "Oh, Jonathan," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I’m so, so sorry."
They sat in silence, the only sounds the occasional sob from Jonathan and the soft ticking of the clock on the mantle. Indie knew no words could mend the shattered pieces of a broken heart, but her presence could offer a solace, a shared grief that spoke louder than words.
As the initial storm of his grief subsided, Jonathan's tears slowed, and he looked at Indie with a fragile gratitude. "Thank you for being here," he murmured, his voice still raw. "I just didn’t know where else to go."
Indie had never felt the weight of sorrow as heavily as she did sitting beside Jonathan in the dimly lit living room of her house. Jonathan's tears had slowed, but the grief remained palpable, a tangible darkness that seemed to seep into the corners of the room. As they shared in the silence that followed his outpouring, Jonathan began to open up about the complexities surrounding his brother's death, complexities that added layers of confusion and pain to his grief.
“my mom, she’s not handling it well. She’s convinced that Will isn’t really dead. She freaked out at the medical examiner’s office because she didn’t believe it was him,” Jonathan explained, his voice a mixture of exhaustion and worry.
Indie listened intently, her heart aching for both Jonathan and Joyce. “What happened at the medical examiner’s office?” she asked gently, encouraging him to continue.
Jonathan rubbed his face tiredly before responding. “She started yelling, saying it wasn’t Will. She didn’t recognize his body… his face. But I was there too, Indie. I saw him. It was Will. It was his face,” he said, his voice breaking with the pain of the memory.
Indie reached out, placing a comforting hand on his. The situation was unimaginable, the kind of pain you read about in books or saw in movies, but here it was, unfolding in real life, touching the people she cared about most. “I’m so sorry, Jonathan” she whispered.
Jonathan nodded, swallowing hard. “Yeah, it’s just... it’s a lot. Mom’s holding on to this idea that there’s some mistake, or some... conspiracy. I don’t know. I wanted to believe her, but I saw him, Indie. It was Will.”
The air between them filled with the heavy burden of reality, the kind that suffocates hope and paints the world in shades of gray. They sat in silence for a long time, each lost in their thoughts and shared sorrow, finding a semblance of comfort in the mere presence of another person.
As the evening waned into the night, Jonathan’s demeanor began to shift slightly, the catharsis of shared grief giving way to a moment of quiet reflection. Before he prepared to leave, he reached into his bag and pulled out an old photograph, handing it to Indie with a tentative hand.
“I took this the day before… before everything happened. It’s Barb,” he said, his voice soft, hesitant.
Indie took the photograph with a trembling hand, her eyes immediately drawn to the image of Barb, so full of life and unaware of what was about to unfold. But as she looked closer, something else in the photo caught her attention. In the corner, there was a blur, something indistinct yet oddly familiar—a shadow or figure that didn't belong.
A flash of horror ran through her as she stared at the photograph. The figure, though blurry, had a haunting quality, a presence that she felt she had seen before, possibly in the woods or perhaps in the fleeting shadows of her nightmares. She didn't mention her discovery to Jonathan, not wanting to add to his distress, but her mind raced with possibilities.
Could Joyce be right? Was there more to Will's disappearance and presumed death than met the eye? The photograph in her hands might just be a piece of a larger, more sinister puzzle.
Jonathan noticed her distant look and mistook it for sadness. “I just thought you might want to have it. To remember her by,” he said quietly, misunderstanding her distraction.
Indie nodded, pulling herself back from the brink of panic. “Thank you, Jonathan. It means a lot.” She managed a small smile, her mind still racing with the implications of what she had just seen in the photo.
After Jonathan left, Indie sat back down, the photograph still clutched in her hand. She was alone now, with only her thoughts and the chilling suggestion of the photograph for company. Her resolve hardened; she needed to know what was really happening in Hawkins. Her sister's disappearance, Will's mysterious death, and now this photograph—it was all connected, she was sure of it.
Determined more than ever, Indie knew her next steps. She would start by finding Joyce Byers. If anyone could understand her growing suspicions and the terror that gripped her heart, it was Joyce. Together, perhaps they could uncover the truth, no matter how dark or unbelievable it might be.
