Drugs or plastic wrap or become my sibling?
(@cvs-pharmacy-real)
Sibling but to that you have to get adopted by @the-us-navy-offical. Oh yeah drugs don't affect me since am robot and plastic wrap more boring than gaining another sibling.

FOREVER AND ALWAYS
WARNINGS. sanemi shinazugawa x gn!reader, 0.6k words, fluff, au where everyone lives after the final battle (including y/n) so no spoilers
NAVI | KNY MASTERLIST | PT.1
Tumblr media
“daddy! daddy, look! i’m flying like a bird!”
“my airplane can fly better. dad, look at this!”
your hand reached for the knife by your side as someone yelled beside you, “look at the two of you go! i’m watching, i promise.”
“hmm, if i had to say, you’re not watching at all, sanemi.”
“genya and tokito are handling them fine. while they’re busy, i get to spend time with my partner.”
partner— the name sanemi called you still felt unfamiliar to your ears. 5 years ago, you thought the two of you would never be anything beyond friends. but during the final fight with muzan, you couldn’t help but confess. you thought it’d be your last few minutes alive, so, bleeding out on the floor, the two of you confessed your love for one another. more importantly…
“what if… what if we both lived long enough to see a world without demons?”
sanemi answered, “that’s simple. i would have married you in an instant, y/n.”
“then marry me when i meet you again. when you pass, in some decades, find me in the afterlife and marry me. i’ll still love you, sanemi. always and forever.”
although he promised to marry you in the afterlife, there was no need because the two of you survived. you remembered waking up in the butterfly estate, body sore despite the months you were asleep and left to recover
sanemi had already risen a month before and had been anticipating your awakening. the moment he heard, the former wind hashira had run straight for the room you rested in. and despite how irrational it was, and corny in his eyes, he told you he’d marry you as soon as you were able to leave.
albeit heavily injured, all the hashira had miraculously survived to see a world without demons. the demon corps disbanded, and sanemi decided to move with you into a house closer to town.
a few months passed and the two of you had exchanged your vows. then nearly 2 years later, the two of you were welcoming your first child into the world. your eldest was a boy who took most of your husband’s features, and your second child was a girl that looked like an even mix of you and sanemi.
both children, as much as they loved you, had favored your husband. they often nagged him and were attached to his hip. you always found it endearing and were more than happy to watch them cling to your husband. your son often hung from his arm, and your daughter hugged sanemi’s leg as he walked towards you, signaling for help.
“we best appreciate their clinginess while we can. they’ll grow up before we know it.”
the white-haired man hummed, snaking his arms around your waist, “yeah, but they always cut our time short. we’ll be too old before we know it.”
your eyes traveled down to your hand. the hand that once wielded a nichirin blade now held a kitchen knife, and instead of slaying demons, the only thing you had to cut was meat and vegetables. you adjusted your grip and began to cut some carrots.
“that’s how it goes, babe. isn’t it crazy to think it’s been 5 years since everything?”
“i guess, yeah. i’m more surprised that we all survived it,” his grip loosened. sanemi did not say it, but you knew he was referring to you.
“well, let us be glad that we’re here,” you placed the knife down and turned around to face him. you brought your arms around his neck and let your hands hang loose while sanemi placed his hands on your waist. “i love you, sanemi shinazugawa.”
the two of you were now living happily. all the hard training, the heartbreak, the struggles— all of it led to now. sanemi’s eyes briefly traveled to your children, who were now being carried on genya and muichiro’s backs with smiles on their faces.
you heard the children laughing before his lips met yours softly, “i love you, y/n l/n. forever and always.”

YEARS AND YEARS
Tumblr media
Paring: Charles Leclerc x Fem!Reader.
Genre: One-shot, fluff, secret relationship, friends to lovers.
Warning(s): use of Yn.
Synopsis: They had been friends since they were young, but soon that become more and people started noticing.
A/n: my first one-shot! Sorry if it’s bad, I didn’t know where this was going - not proofread.
Tumblr media
Yn Ln had been brought up around racing, she attended every race she could and participated in karting when she was younger. The Ln girl enjoyed her time racing against others and the adrenaline it granted her, but as she grew older she drifted from the race track and moved on to other things.
She still had a passion for racing, even if she wasn’t the one in the drivers seat.
Yn still stayed in contact with her racing friends, they often met up and participated in fun activities or just had chilled out movie nights in one another’s apartments.
The friendship she had with Charles Leclerc had always been a close one, her family had moved from England to their holiday apartment in Monaco when she was four years old to give her a better chance at a racing career when she had expressed her passion for the fast paced sport.
She attended the same school as the boy and they quickly became friends after bonding over their love for racing. The two children had ran over to their parents after school and told them about their newfound friendship which led to play dates and days out for the two families.
As they grew older they became more and more competitive and gained a friendly on track rivalry.
When Yn turned sixteen she started exploring other fields of work such as modelling and music. The time she had reserved for Karting decreased, while her friends were being scouted for bigger racing opportunities like Formula 2
By the time she was eighteen she had stopped racing altogether, spending all her time working on other projects. Charles and herself were still very close, though they did things that usually would not be put in the friendship category.
Every time someone would see them they would always be touching, ether holding hands or sharing to-long hugs. When someone would call the two nineteen year olds out on it they would deny the accusation of them being in a relationship.
The to-long hugs soon progressed into quick, secretive kisses in hidden places, and the hand holding became a permanent attachment.
Their friends shared amused glances with each other whenever they saw the two together (which was all the time), The group of racing drivers and their respective partners came together and devised a plan that would hopefully get the ‘friends’ to spill their not so secret relationship.
~~~~~~~~~~<><><><~~~~~~~<><><><~~~~~~~~~~
Yn Ln was in Ferrari hospitality getting herself a quick snack to eat while watching the race, as she walked out of the building with her Jaffa cakes and a bottle of cherry Pepsi in her hands she was stopped by Max Verstappen as she passed by the Redbull garage as she wandered about to pass the time.
“Yn!” The voice of the man dressed in navy blue called out to her, her head whipped to where the shout of her name had came from.
When the woman saw it was her friend Max a smile tugged at her glossy lips, “Max, shouldn’t you be getting ready for the race?” She asked with a tilt of her head, her words coated with the slightest accent.
The man looked over his shoulder quickly, making eye contact with Kelly, before looking back at the person standing in front of him waiting for a response.
“I am, I just wanted to ask if you and Charles wanted to join me and the others for a few drinks at our hotel.” He asked. “Everyone is coming, it would be a shame if you guys didn’t.” He added, looking over at Lando who was walking by.
The man in papaya smiled cheekily and waved at the two, before running off to his garage so he wouldn’t be late for the start of the race.
“Sure, thanks Max.” Was her quick reply, she always enjoyed when the group got together and had a laugh.
The racing driver bid her goodbye as he strode back over to the team of mechanics.
The race had been a good one, Max coming in at P1 and Charles P2 with Lando joining them on the podium with P3.
After the team celebrations and a quick trip home for outfit changes, Yn and Charles were on their way to Max and Kelly’s hotel, they were both ready to wind down after the busy and successful day they had surrounded by their friends.
They were greeted by the other racers and their parters who had also been invited with hugs and congratulations in Charles’ case.
The group huddled together to get comfortable on the double bed and the few chairs around the room and started to watch a generic action movie picked by one of the racers.
The movie was about an hour in when the snacks that had been brought for the movie night looked to have been ravaged by a pack of wild animals, some of the packaging had even been ripped to pieces by Lando and Carlos who fought to get the last Reece’s (Lando won).
“We need more food.” Lando whined, throwing his head back to look at the others from his place on the carpeted floor.
Oscar nodded in agreement and looked to his girlfriend Lily, who was tucked into his side, to see if she wanted anything, she requested a drink quietly to him, still focused on the movie playing on screen.
“We could go for a few bottles of Coke and a some of chips.” The McLaren driver added his own order to the group.
Everyone looked at each other as to determine who would leave the confort of the hotel room to go and buy the requested food and drink. Soon every pair of eyes except for two landed on Yn and Charles who were cuddled up on a tucked away loveseat.
Yn sighed before standing up to stretch her back “Fine, fine we’re going.” Her voice came out ragged due to tiredness and having not been used for a while.
Charles look up at her from his spot on the couch, the two seemed to be having a conversation with their eyes before he too joined her in standing up.
“We’ll be back soon.” The man stated, his words thick with accent due to lack of use.
As the two left the room, quiet chatter started behind the closed door.
“Did you see the way they were cuddling! They can’t keep denying they are together if they are doing things like that in front of people.” Lando started in a whispered exclamation.
Carlos nodded, agreeing with the McLaren driver, “I noticed that too, they were clinging onto each other since the movie started.”
Charles and Yn walked alongside each other, a bag full of snacks and beverages carried by the man. They had been stopped a few times to take pictures with fans along the way.
“Do you think we are being to obvious?” Yn asked quietly as to not be heard by passers by.
Charles thought for a moment before answering in an equally as quiet voice, “maybe, but do you think it’s time to tell them? I mean we have been dating for almost three years.”
“We should probably tell them.” Yn mumbled, she hadn’t realised it had been so long since they had started dating, times flys when your having fun I guess.
The two reached the hotel room, stopping outside the door to go over the plan to tell their friends they have been together for as long as they have been.
Leclerc and Ln walked in with their hands clasped together. “We have something to tell you all” Charles started.
The group inside the room looked at their hands and glanced at each other. “Is it they you two are dating?” Lando blurted earning wide eye looks from the couple.
“Uh-yeh, yeh we hav-.” The two stumbled over their words having not realised their friends had caught on.
Max let out a wheeze at the sight of their caught out faces, Kelly softly hitting the back of his head before letting out a chuckle herself which caused the rest of the group to laugh at the pair still stood by the door.
Yn and Charles gave a sigh of relief at not having to tell the group of drivers and parters themselves, rolling their eyes at the laughing figures of their friends.
As the laughter sobered up max spoke up “so how long of you two actually been together?” The others staring at them intently also wanting to know.
“Three years….”Charles coughed out.
“Jesus!”
“Did you just forget to tell us or something?!”
Were some of the outraged answers from their close friends. Max looked at Yn’s face and realised that that was actually what had happened. “You really forgot to tell us didn’t you?” He laughed out.
Embarrassed nods were all he got from the pair.
The forest had been your whole life it was where you had been born and took your first steps, it had made you happy and also broke your heart. It had become the place where it held all the people that you love so dearly, and who saw you for you. Sorrow had come from the place when you had been blamed for actions way out of you control, and later on banished from the place you call home. Still holding close the memories and some keepsakes from your old home and life. When there comes sorrow there also comes new beginning and you had stated your new beginning.
y/n" my eywa my great mother my guidance in the dark" Right now you are sitting in the home that you have made with kawwney. It had been nearly three half years since she was exiled and disowned. She had been able to make a new life here among the reef navi, yes it did take her time to adapt but she soon become one of the people.
y/n " thank you great mother for the blessing you gave me in life" you are singing your song chord. Life had changed so much for you since you had left home and become metkayian.
????? " ma y/n" you soon stooped singing and soon looked up to see your husband kawwney standing there.
y/n " hello my husband how was the talk with your father and mother"
Kawwney " it had went well my love I had been even asked by my father to join him, on scouting missions and I agree if that well with you"
y/n " that perfect with me ma kawwney it good you and your father, are helping and sharing the clan responsibilities"
kawwney " thank you yawntu" kawwney soon brought you into an warm embrace and kissed your forehead, making you smile and kiss him back as well.
kawwney " now tell me where are our wonderful children"
y/n " they are fast asleep my love"
kawwney " here I was hoping to have some time with them before I had to leave"
???? " baba"
y/n " well it seems like you get that wish answered my love" kawwney smile brightly and laughed, as she soon walked off into another room of the home.
y/n " do you need help in there"
kawwney " I'm good" kawwney soon came into the room carrying three navi children in his arms, all of them smiles brightly and happy.
y/n " they are growing up so fast ma kawwney"
kawwney " well they are ours in no time they will be walking around here and talking in compete sentences with us"
y/n " our perfect sons and beautiful daughter"
kawwney " yes our perfect children just like their mama and they will do amazing in the future" You had started a family with kawwney not that long ago and had triplets two boys and one girl, and triplets are rare among navi sending the clan into celebration due to the boys birth. They are named Kewia, Roili, and Aeyla names that you and kawwney had picked out for them.
warrior " kawwney and y/n hello I'm sorry for interrupting"
y/n " it okay has something happened"
warrior " yes tonowari has called us we will be leaving now for scouting and some other matters"
kawwney " tell my father I will be there shortly I need to put my children down"
warrior " yes I will make sure to tell him" the warrior soon left leaving the family of five in the home.
y/n " here let me take Ayela for you so you can put kewia and Roili down"
kawwney " thank you" ayela had soon went into your arms and smile, as you held her for a bit until you put her down on a mat, soon being joined by her brothers.
kawweny " I will be home in time for dinner so don't worry"
y/n " I always worry"
kawwney " I will be safe you had helped me learn more about these humans and their ways, take care of yourself and the children as well ... I know you will not be alone today as my mom and siblings will be here with the rest of the clan"
y/n " that what I love now go dont keep your father and other waiting any longer"
kawwney " yes my love" kawwney had grabbed his spear and soon kissed you and the kids goodbye before he took off and left. You had soon watch him leave until you could no longer see him, and you soon sat down with the children.
y/n " my children you will always be love by me and I will make sure the three of you are treated fairly and no ever feels alone, I will not become like them"
kids " mama" the children smile towards you making you smile at them, as you soon started looking at them as they play with their wooden toys and crawling around trying their best to walk.
tsireya " hello"
y/n " tisreya come in" tsireya soon smiled as she walked into the home, you and her become very close after the days of your arrival here. She had been happy to finally meet the girl her brother had been crushing on and telling her about as well.
tsireya " I came to check up on you and my nephews and niece how are they doing"
y/n " I'm guessing your brothers are not that far as well"
rotxo " good morning"
aonung " good morning y/n and little ones" the children started speaking in gibberish and laughing after seeing their uncles and aunt arrive in the home.
y/n " it good to have you kids here today but sadly you missed your brother as he went off with your father"
tsireya " oh we saw him when he was with our father and as we going to come see you anyways"
y/n " that sounds like your brother"
aonung " come here kawie lets do more with your walking I know you will be a mighty warrior like my brother" aonung soon reached out his hand and started helping his nephew walk a bit.
rotxo " come on roili we can't let them have all the fun" while the boys were doing some walking practice on the other side of the room, leaving you with ayela and tsireya.
y/n " these boys are so much like kawwney"
tsireya " do you mean the older boys are the babies"
y/n "both" you and Tsireya had laughed as the both of you are helping ayela with her walking.
later that afternoon
ronal " hello everyone"
aonung " mother"
ronal " hello I came to speak with y/n and see my grandchildren"
rotxo " yes mom but I thought you will be busy all day"
tsireya " yes with clan responsibilities"
ronal " well I got some time off and now I came to have some words with y/n"
tsireya " yes mother"
y/n " you all can come see the children later it almost time for their nap"
aonung " okay will we are off to deal with our task mom"
ronal " that good my children" the kids had left as you had put the triplets down for a nap, once they are asleep you are now sitting with ronal.
ronal " I came here to have some words of importance with you"
y/n " sure"
ronal " as you know my son will start taking a more serious role as the future leader of the clan, and sharing responsibilities with his dad"
y/n " yes he told me that this morning he very happy about it and I'm happy for him"
ronal " I'm happy for him as well but I wish for you to take over some roles of tshaik as you being his mate, you will share the title with tsireya"
y/n " I wish not to take away her birthright"
ronal " no need to worry y/n reya has benen told and agree with it, as you had helped her learn as well you healing ways have helped the clan in many ways and your connection with the great mother is mighty and beautiful ... tshaik was your brith right was it not"
y/n " yes but everyone wishes for my sister and my brother future mate over them as I was seen bad child or demon blood"
ronal " there no demon blood in you I was shocked when my son said he was in love, and I was hoping to meet the girl who stole his hair but we did meet ... in a way I was not hoping for"
y/n " I don't think anyone hope we will meet like that' you and ronal laugh a bit.
ronal " you are perfect learning the ways wonderful and soon making. name for yourself, and soon becoming one of the people and starting a family here as well"
y/n " thank you and I will like to take the responsibility and tile of tshaik"
ronal " good" well it was agree as now you will be taking over the some of the responsibilities of tshaik, an announcement had been shared with the people and soon enough word had spread around the village. As life in the village had become peaceful and clam at the moment that all changed when you heard horn blow.
y/n " has someone come or have the Scouts return" you had went to check on the children to see they were still asleep, as you soon went to see what was going and it seem like the rest of the clan is doing the same thing as well.
navi " new arrivals have come to the village"
navi 2 " yes it seems like they all have traveled a long way to get here"
navi 3 " they look similar to y/n they are from the forest as well ... oh y/n hello"
y/n " hello it seems like we have guests from the forest I'm going to see them" you had soon made you way through the crowd it was not the hard as they had made room for you, soon enough you had seen the newcomers bit by bit until you were close enough. Until you stopped walking as you reach the front, looking at the male navi who was at the front.
Jake "hello we come in peace we mean you all no harm" it was your family and old clan, even due it had been many years you could still remember them very well but it seems like they did see yet. Soon enough tonowari and kawwney had retune shocking the new arrivals, as they landed their creatures in the water and soon walked onto the beach.
Jake " I see you tonowari and I see you kawwney"
tonowari "Jake sully" soon enough ronal had made herself know as the crowd made room for her as well, she was now standing with her son and mate.
ronal " ......."
tonowari "why have you all come here"
Jake " we came here seeking refuge for my family and clan ... we seek uturu"
ronal " uturu"
Jake " yes for my family and clan please that all I ask for" ronal was walking around your family she soon noticed three of the kids, are just like you and her granddaughter. She knew of the history of your parents and was staring draggers at them.
ronal " there arms and tails are weak they will have a hard time adapting here"
Jake " we can adapt right everyone"
everyone " yes"
ronal " these three kids have the blood of sky people in them"
Jake " yes they are just like me two of them my kids and other one the adopted son of my right hand man Tsu'tey, but I was once sky people and become one of the people"
Tonowari " we all know tale of toruk makto but you are not the only one who has come here from the forest"
mo'at " what do you mean"
ronal " many years ago someone from the forest had made their own journey here
Jake " who we never knee someone from the forest had come here"
????? " hello it has been a long time hasn't it Jake sully" you soon showed yourself looking at your family and old clan, they all looked shocked to see you standing there.
tonowari " y/n as you had once been form the forest and one of omatacayia clan, do you think we should let them stay"
y/n " yes we should let them stay it the will of the great mother, it will be horrible to send them away after all the way they came here"
Jake " y/n you are ...." Jake had tried to take a step near you but had been hissed at by kawwney who was glaring at the war hero.
tonowari " you and your family along with your clan will be allowed to stay here, we have some home and extra space for you all to use ... hut during your time you will be learning the ways of our people"
Jake " yes what do we say everyone"
everyone " thank you"
tonowari " my childern from my sons and daughter will be helping with your children and the boy with training, and y/n as well if she wishes to"
kawwney " y/n"
y/n " I will help them as I still hold my clan and old home close to my heart, even after all these years"
aonung " we will help for the sake and honor of y/n"
rotxo " yes we will do our best to help to our guests learn the ways"
Tsireya " yes we will"
tonowari " my people the sully family and their clan members will staying here with us as we see them learning the ways, but we will need to help them as they are babies taking thier first breathe" the clan was not that happy that much of helping the adults as they knew of your past, and hated how much pain you had been put through.
y/n " come with me I will show you around the village and where you all will be staying"
tsireya " I will help as well"
rotxo and aonung " us to"
y/n " then grab what we can and help them move come along so, you all will have enough time to settle in" there had been no time for words to be spoken, as the group had soon followed you as you showed them around village. Your family was now standing near their new home.
There was this feeling in the air that your family and clan were feeling after see you after so long.
That night
kawwney "I love you"
As You Wish, Chapter 14
Tumblr media
Summary: When arriving at Camp Silver Star, Abby Floyd was anticipating a summer of adventure with an ocean separating her from the three people she loved most: her mom, her Uncle Bob and her Aunt Natasha. But after a run in with Charlie Seresin, an extremely familiar looking and irritating camper in a different cabin, her summer plans take a turn that neither girl ever could have expected.
Trigger Warnings: reader's children are described as being blond with green eyes because genetics are wild and Jake's genes are strong, reader is canonically Bob's sister (but biological relation is never discussed), reader goes by Buttercup and is tattooed, angst, drinking, sadness, reference to divorce, kids doing sneaky things, swearing, references to the loss of a parent or parents, reference to past bedroom activities
Seresin Ranch, Clifton, Texas, Now
The ride home was spent in silence. The girls had quickly packed their things and mounted their horses after Savannah had shrieked at their father that she wanted to go home, right that second. Jake had nodded at them that they were going home, and they were all fully packed within a half an hour.
Savannah hadn’t made a peep since, only hissing at their father that his ‘chances’ with her father were now impossible before plopping herself onto a boulder and ignoring them all. Jake had only huffed a sigh and packed both of their bags up before tacking up the horses.
They had taken the short trail back to the ranch and took no stops, so they ended up back at the ranch just before dinner time, their mother peeking her head out of the curtains and frowning at them.
Savannah clumsily dismounted, Angel stomping her foot in discomfort until the petite blond had her designer cowgirl boots on solid ground. With a huff, Savannah whipped her hair as she turned towards their father and hurled her engagement ring at his chest.
“You could’ve been so much more than this,” she hissed at him, jerking her chin at his girls. “We could’ve sent them to a boarding school or to live with their mother, and you could’ve joined the Navy again like you wanted to! Instead, you’ll never be anything but some…some…farmer!”
Jake shook his head slowly at her, his eyes locked on her with a look that Charlie was very happy she had never seen directed at her.
“I would never have let you send my girls to boarding school. Being their father is the best thing I have ever done. And if you can’t see that, then it’s your fault,” Jake’s voice was calm and cool, but Rooster recognized it as he and Buttercup emerged from the house, trying and failing to look nonchalant as they rushed towards the tense looking confrontation. It was Jake’s mission voice. His Hangman voice. The same voice he had used when he had confronted Rooster about the Uranium Mission, about him not having what it takes to fly, about how he was only there because Maverick had flown with Rooster’s old man. Hangman was pure arrogance and jet fuel, with none of Jake’s tenderness and homespun, golden boy manners.
“Or is it your fault for not telling me there were two of those little demons?” Savannah sneered.
“Watch it,” Buttercup stepped forward. “Nobody gets to talk about my girls that way.”
Savannah rolled her eyes. “You can have him,” she scoffed as she turned her back on them all and strolled towards the big, black SUV that was thundering up the drive. “Nobody will want him now anyway.”
Rooster moved to stand next to Jake as Savannah clambered up into the SUV that her father was driving, offering the retired Air Force Colonel a sarcastic salute before crouching and retrieving the fallen diamond ring.
They watched in silence as the SUV roared away, a collective sigh of relief rippling through them all as it disappeared into the distance.
“I feel like I should burn this thing,” Rooster mused, staring down at the platinum band. “Y’know, douse it in holy water and set it on fire so it doesn’t attract any more hell spawn.”
Jake groaned, running a hand through his hair. “Shut up, man. Hey! Slow your roll, you two!”
Rooster peered over his shoulder at the twins, who were trying to make a sneaky exit into the house. Rooster chuckled as they glanced at each other and slowed their footsteps but didn’t stop.
“Freeze, ladies!” Buttercup barked, striding towards them. “You know what your father meant.”
With a sigh that heaved their shoulders, Abby and Charlie halted on the porch and turned towards their parents.
Jake crouched in front of them and scanned their faces with his pilot’s precision.
“Someone better start talking…” he murmured into the still air.
“Well, you see—”
“We didn’t actually do anything wrong—”
“It’s only that—”
“Nothing dangerous—”
Jake held up a hand and the air went still again.
“Chipmunks don’t just miraculously appear in a closed saddlebag,” he started, staring between them. “They have to be placed there. And I don’t know anyone better at handling rodents than my daughter Charlie, who has been helping remove chipmunks and squirrels from the hay loft since she was a toddler.” Charlie flushed, kicking at a stone beneath her boot. “And while I appreciate the concern you both had about Savannah having an allergic reaction, that doesn’t explain this.” He pulled the open packet of itching powder out of his jeans pocket. Abby gulped. “And don’t think I didn’t notice the hay around the tent spikes of Savannah’s tent either.” He looked between them. “All I want to know is why?”
He stared at them for a long moment, green clashing with green, until Abby groaned and crumbled. “I’m sorry, Dad, but Savannah was awful. She bragged about being a champion rider, but anyone with eyes could tell she had never been on a horse! And she was always hanging off you like she couldn’t do anything by herself. And…”
“And her vibe was way off, Dad,” Charlie added, stepping forward. “And I think you knew that. That’s why you didn’t introduce us until after you proposed.”
“I didn’t introduce you because you were off at camp,” Jake argued, biting back a groan as he stretched back to his full height. “And I’ll admit that I should’ve told her that you’re twins, but at the time, I thought you didn’t know about each other.”
“So, you kept Abby a secret from me, and I kept my feelings about Savannah a secret from you,” Charlie grinned slyly. “Sounds like we both did the wrong thing, old man.”
Jake rolled his eyes. “Maybe…but I’m the adult here. Which means I’m the one who gets to dole out any punishment for unnecessary pranks pulled on the trail ride.”
Charlie gulped. “You’re not going to make Mom and Abby go home early are you?”
Jake’s eyes softened. “I would never do that, Charlie-girl. But you and your sister are going to be doing extra chores around here. You’re going to have to muck out all the stalls in the morning, feed the horses, and polish the tack.”
Abby and Charlie grinned at each other. “Is that it?”
“Restricted phone time,” Buttercup shot them a stern look. “You can have your phones for an hour in the morning and an hour at night. But that’s it. I have no doubt you used your phones to help coordinate these schemes of yours, so this is just a natural consequence.”
“Can Abby still sleep in my room?”
Jake met Buttercup’s eyes and nodded. “We’re okay with that.”
“And we can still go to Uncle Javy’s football game?”
Buttercup grinned at Jake and rolled her eyes fondly. “I suppose that’s alright.”
The girls cheered and hugged each other. “We’re okay with that!”
They grabbed their backpacks and ran into the house, chattering away, and Buttercup sighed before following along behind them.
“Not so fast.”
She blinked and turned to him. “What did I do?”
Jake folded his arms across his broad chest and cocked an eyebrow at her. “You know what you did.”
Buttercup’s hands met her hips as she shifted her weight to jut a hip out. “Do I?”
Jake rolled his eyes as a smile played on his lips. “What exactly did Savannah say to you to make you bail on the trail ride? I know you. Spending time with Abby, getting to know Charlie, the opportunity to see me potentially make an ass of myself? You were ready and willing to go on the ride until I went outside to get the horses ready. So, what did my ex-fiancée say to my ex-wife to scare her off the ride?”
Buttercup scoffed. “I wasn’t scared. I figured it was a good opportunity for the girls to get to know their stepmother.”
“And if their stepmother got the chance to get to know them, and didn’t like what she saw?” Jake’s grin was sharp with challenge.
“Then that would be her loss, just like you said.” Buttercup tossed her hair over her shoulder and raised her eyebrows at him. “I don’t know what you’re implying here, Hangman.”
Jake’s answering chuckle sent a small thrill through her. “I’m implying that I spent three months with Savannah, and the only way she would get near a horse would be if there was a risk of her losing face. And the only person who would be willing to put her in that situation is you. But you wouldn’t do that without reason, so c’mon, darlin’. Out with it.”
Buttercup sighed lightly. “She asked me to write her wedding vows for her. Her vows to you.” She could’ve giggled at the way Jake’s eyes nearly bugged out of his head, but the whole situation had left her with an uncomfortable feeling in her stomach. “It was a power play, plain and simple. So, yeah. Maybe I got the feeling that the girls didn’t like her and would probably make her life hell on the ride, so I might have suggested to Savannah that she should go on the ride because it would make you happy and she would be able to bond with the girls.”
Jake chuckled in spite of himself. “You’re just as diabolical as they are, you know.”
Buttercup shrugged delicately. “They had to get it from somewhere. Too bad for you, I’m an adult too and you can’t dole out any punishment to me.”
Jake shifted on his feet, his quiet chuckle sending tingles through her body as the air around them spiked with…something.
“Not like I haven’t before,” he breathed, mostly to himself.
Buttercup folded her arms across her chest, almost as though she were afraid that her heart would beat right out of her chest. The memories of them, the things they had done together, surged through her brain, her bloodstream, lighting her up like a firefly. But he was still Jake, and any fire between her and Jake had been doused a long time ago, and it had to stay that way. For the good of everyone involved.
“Um,” she swallowed. “Rooster made chili. He said it was some sort of post-trail ride tradition. We were just setting the table when we heard the commotion.”
Jake nodded and patted Firewall’s flank. “Let me just take care of these guys, and I’ll be right in. Make sure you save me a bowl, alright? Charlie would eat the entire pot if we let her.”
Tumblr media
Jake groaned as he pushed his bowl away.
“That was your best batch yet, Uncle Roo,” Charlie grinned a sleepy smile, inching towards food coma territory.
“I’m still pissed you couldn’t cook like this when we lived together,” Natasha grumbled, though the smile on her face stole any bite the words might have held.
Bob nodded in agreement. “The whole squadron would be shocked that Mr. Ramen and Burnt Toast has a degree from culinary school.”
Rooster grunted at them. “I only burnt my toast once. You two just won’t let me forget it.”
“More than once,” Javy grinned at him, leaning back in his chair, and Jake smiled. It seemed like, for tonight at least, Javy and Nat had called a truce. They hadn’t glared or shot thinly veiled remarks at each other all night. Of course, they hadn’t spoken or looked at each other either, but Jake found himself grateful for the lack of anything between them.
“Alright, well maybe I should prove my badass kitchen skills then, huh?” Rooster leaned forward, a smirk tugging on his lips. “I think it’s high time for a Daggers Reunion. What do you say? We can celebrate the fact that Jake isn’t gonna marry that absolute pain in the ass he called a fiancée.”
“Rooster!” Buttercup looked shocked. “I know you didn’t like her, but Jake wouldn’t have asked her to marry him if he didn’t have feelings for her.”
Javy scoffed. “More like feelings about his future. Your boy here didn’t want to have an empty nest when Charlie grows up, so he was gonna—ow, shit!” Javy winced as Jake’s foot connected with his knee. “Dude, what the hell?”
Buttercup felt the blood rush to her cheeks. “It’s alright, Jake. I get it. They’re almost 12. In six years or so, they’ll be off and we’ll be left on our own. I don’t know what the future holds for me either, and it’s a scary thought.”
“Don’t worry, Mum,” Abby yawned, leaning against her sister. “We’re not going anywhere.”
Buttercup grinned. “Thank you, baby. But I do think maybe you two should go upstairs to bed. You’ve had a busy day.”
Abby nodded and tugged Charlie off her chair before hugging her mother, then her father.
Charlie followed suit but stilled at the landing of the staircase. “I like Uncle Roo’s idea. A Dagger’s reunion sounds like a lot of fun.”
“Alright, kiddo. We’ll see if we can make it happen,” Jake smiled softly at the girls as they ascended the staircase.
“Can we also go out to dinner tomorrow?” Abby paused a few steps from the top. “Just the four of us? As a family?”
Jake nodded. “Sure, baby. Whatever you want.”
“Okay. Night, Dad. Night, Mum. Love you.”
“Love you, too,” their parents chorused.
“Dude, you’re such a softie now,” Natasha smirked at him over the lip of her wine glass. “They just cost you your fiancée, Bagman. And you’re letting them call the shots.”
Jake fixed her with a look. “I’m not soft, Phoenix.” He grinned. “In fact, everyone else on this ranch have been pulling their weight, except you two. So, I’d really appreciate it if you and Baby On Board would do the dishes while Javy and I go make sure everything is locked up tight.”
Natasha gaped at him. “What about Buttercup? Or Rooster?”
“Rooster cooked,” Jake shrugged. “And Buttercup’s been working on her novel. What have you and Bob been up to? Other than drinking my wine, eating my food, and eating up my Wi-Fi?” Natasha glared and he grinned. “Enjoy. C’mon, Javy.”
The two men rose from their seats and left the room, clearly headed to make sure the ranch was locked up for the night. Rooster rose with a groan and mumbled something about watching the football game in his room, leaving after patting Buttercup on the head.
Natasha looked around at all the dirty dishes and grumbled. “Your husband is such an asshole.”
“Ex,” Buttercup clarified quietly, running her finger over the lip of her glass. “Besides, you shouldn’t have shot your mouth off with the softie comment. You had to have known he’d retaliate.”
“Yeah, but did he have to bring me into it?” Bob sighed, already gathering dishes and taking them into the kitchen.
Buttercup giggled as her family disappeared into the kitchen, the soft sounds of their bickering carrying through the archway as she stared at the darkened front door, waiting for Jake to return.
Tumblr media
The next day passed smoothly, and the four occupants of the main house (plus the grumpy uncle living in the attic) fell into a rhythm of sorts. Jake and the girls were out of the house by the time Buttercup woke up, jetlag and a sleepless night weighing on her mind. However, she found a breakfast of cinnamon oatmeal and fruit salad waiting for her on the stove and a box of her favourite tea sitting next to the kettle. Buttercup settled into the desk in her bedroom and cranked out a few more pages of her book, the characters finally deciding to play along and follow the plot, though the plot wasn’t turning out exactly the way she had imagined it. By the time noon came around, she had wandered down into the kitchen, where she helped Rooster prepare barbecue chicken Ceasar wraps for everyone before going out into the ranch and calling her family home to eat. After their meal, Jake stole them all away to the local high school, where he assisted Javy with coaching their football team. Even when they had been together, Buttercup hadn’t been much of a football fan, but she found herself enjoying the time spent in the bleachers, especially when Jake would demonstrate a play for the rookie quarterback (though she would deny that last part to the ends of the earth and back).
By the time they got back to the ranch, the girls were hustling their parents into their bedrooms to change for their family dinner.
“Babe, we didn’t even make a reservation,” Buttercup sighed as Abby shoved her make up bag into her hands and pushed her towards the ensuite bathroom.
“Any place that would dress code me for not wearing a suit would be booked up months in advance, kiddo,” Jake protested as Charlie tossed his navy-blue suit onto his bed.
“Don’t worry about it,” both girls had reassured their parents. “Our aunt and uncles took care of everything.”
The statement had been less than reassuring, but both parents were determined to play ball. Buttercup had conceded to wearing her aqua coloured midi dress (a dress Charlie had insisted she pack once she had seen it in her mother’s closet back in London) and had even put on the diamond necklace that had been a joint Christmas present from her family last year. Jake had begrudgingly put on his navy suit and the silver and blue aviator watch he had bought on a whim a few years back. The girls had dressed up in matching black dresses (no doubt a gift from their Uncle Bob) and ushered them out of the house before they could say goodbye to Bob, Rooster or Natasha.
“Alright, ladies,” Jake grinned, spinning his car keys around his finger. “Ready to tell me exactly where we’re going?” He started as Charlie clamped onto his wrist, dragging him down the dirt path towards the dude ranch.
“Right this way, old man.”
Jake craned his neck back just in time to see Abby take a much gentler grip on her mother’s arm, steadying her as the heels of her shoes sunk into the dirt.
“Charlie, your mother is going to break her neck out here without much light.” In truth, the sun would be going down in a few hours, but the way it hung low in the sky had shadows painting the path in darkness. Charlie blinked up at him, a challenge gleaming there, and Jake sighed. “Let me go, kid.”
He shook off his daughter’s grip and strode backwards until he could offer Buttercup his elbow. “C’mon, darlin’,” he murmured. “Can’t have you breaking an ankle out here. Don’t want a lawsuit on my hands.”
Buttercup chuckled as she wrapped her arm around his. “Thank you…” she whispered as Abby pranced up the path to join her sister. “Honestly, I don’t know how they come up with so many harebrained schemes.”
“You think they’re scheming?”
She shot Jake a knowing look. “Do you know any family friendly restaurants where the diners dress up like this?” She gestured to their semi-formal clothing. “And if you do know any, are any of them located down this dirt path?”
Jake nodded his head towards her, conceding her point. “They’re your daughters, alright.”
She elbowed him lightly in the ribs. “I’m not the scheming parent, thank you very much.”
“Seriously? Wasn’t eloping in Vegas your idea?”
She bit her lip to hide her grin. “That wasn’t a scheme. That was taking advantage of the air show in Vegas and the fact that everyone we loved was there. Besides, that didn’t run the risk of potential bodily harm.”
Jake shook off the zing of pain that ran through him at the memory and forced the smile to remain on his face. “Maybe for you, but I have only the haziest memory of the morning after our wedding. Rooster and Fanboy kept pouring marga-beers down my throat even though you told them to stop.”
Buttercup giggled, and something warm flared in Jake’s chest. “Maybe they get it from them then. Rooster, Javy, and Natasha are all pretty heavy handed with the schemes, aren’t they?”
“Oh, more than you know,” Jake laughed as they approached the gazebo that overlooked the manmade pond. They’d put both features in a few years previous, trying to make the dude ranch more attractive for people who wanted more of a vacation than a chance to prove themselves on a ranch.
“Girls?” Buttercup called as they jumped up onto the gazebo before ducking out of sight. Within seconds, the whole structure was lit up, the tiny fairy lights glittering off the water.
“Speaking of schemes…” Jake muttered, guiding Buttercup over the rocky terrain and up onto the gazebo.
In the center, a small, round table for two sat invitingly, a vase of fresh wildflowers pushed to one side to make room for the plates, cutlery, and linen napkins that waited to be used.
“Hoo boy,” Buttercup whispered as he pulled out one of the wrought iron chairs and helped her sit comfortably.
“Girls, what are you doing?” Jake turned to find them standing by the stairs of the gazebo.
“We…wanted to thank you!” Charlie grinned. “Y’know, for being so nice about us switching places.”
“And blackmailing you,” Abby added.
“And blackmailing you,” Charlie nodded her agreement. “Oh! And we wanted to apologize for chasing off Savannah.”
“And you decided that a romantic dinner for two was the best way to do that?” Buttercup’s face was filled with such bemusement that Jake had to laugh.
“Well, if you’re going to coparent, you need to be able to get along,” Abby chirped cheerfully. “Consider this our way of trying to make that happen!”
“We’re going to leave you to eat,” Charlie grinned. “I really hope you can make it through a simple dinner without arguing. That would bode really well for all of us.”
Jake groaned as the girls skipped away, then groaned again when a shadowy figure stepped into the gazebo, carrying two serving trays.
“Hey man, don’t groan at me. Those two little demons are your spawn,” Javy muttered as he set the two trays of food on the table. “They’re better at finding information and using it to their advantage than the freakin’ Navy.”
Natasha scoffed as she stepped up beside Javy, brandishing a bottle of wine in each hand. “If they weren’t so damn cute, I’d want to kill them.”
Buttercup blinked at them. “You got sucked into another one of their schemes?”
Natasha shrugged. “Apparently, I need to watch what I say when Abby and I are watching trashy TV and eating junk food. The kid’s got Fort Knox as a memory. Don’t know what his excuse is though,” she added, jerking her head at Javy. “Now, do you want red or white? Because Rooster said either will work with the food, but Abby will throw a hissy fit if I don’t play along.”
“They got Bradshaw into this too?” Jake turned to Javy, who shrugged.
“You two somehow managed to raise two extremely intelligent blackmailers, with zero input from the other person and an ocean between you. It’d be impressive if it wasn’t kinda terrifying.” Javy sighed. “Natasha and I will be watching from the cabin. Buttercup, as much as you may want to, please don’t drown him in the lake.”
Buttercup stifled a giggle as their friends strolled away. “Well, at least they’re not arguing anymore,” she mused before lifting the lid off her meal and smiling. “Penne a la vodka with a side salad. How did they know?”
Jake gulped and hoped the dim lighting did enough to hide the redness in his cheeks. They had gone for Italian food for their first date, and that’s what they had both ordered. Buttercup because it was her favourite, and Jake because he’d been so taken with her that he had just said “Same” so that they could get back to their conversation without the waiter being present.
“I might’ve mentioned it once, I guess,” he murmured, taking the lid off his dish and picking up his fork.
“Should we toast or something?”
Jake smiled softly and picked up his glass of red wine. “To…fresh starts?”
Buttercup smiled so sweetly at him that his chest ached with it. “Yeah, fresh starts sound good.”
Tumblr media
Buttercup couldn’t remember the last time she had laughed so hard. Her sides ached and her cheeks hurt and she desperately hoped that she had put on waterproof mascara because, otherwise, she would have racoon eyes from the tears of laughter she had shed.
She had to keep reminding herself that it wasn’t real. This was the part of her relationship with Jake that had been easy. Falling in love with him had been as easy as breathing. He could make her laugh until she cried, and he would hold her while she cried until he could make her laugh. He made her want to pull her hair out, but one look at those bright green eyes and that sinful smile, and she would forget all about why he frustrated her. She always counted herself lucky that he was there to frustrate her. It hadn’t taken her long to realize that she would rather run the gamut of emotions with Jake Seresin than risk not feeling anything so strongly with another person.
Loving him was easy. Making it work with him was another story. And now, they had two young daughters who were depending on them. She wasn’t about to risk letting them down again. Still, she found she couldn’t quite keep her guard all the way up around him.
“…and that is why I will never take Charlie to another baseball game,” Jake finished his story to Buttercup’s peals of laughter.
“Oh my god, I can’t believe you two,” she giggled breathlessly.
“Hey, she’s half you. She doesn’t get those nerves of steel from me.”
Buttercup rolled her eyes. “Oh please. How many confirmed air-to-air kills do you have under your belt?”
“Hey! That’s totally different. Having nerves of steel in the air while facing down enemy aircraft is completely different from having your six-year-old daughter try to beat the shit out of the opposing team’s mascot because it kinda looked like a monster from her nightmare.”
Buttercup snorted. “I don’t know about that. Sounds like you were both protecting yourselves with those nerves of steel.”
“You were too,” Jake said quietly, taking a sip of his wine.
“When?”
“When you left…” Buttercup froze, and Jake almost regretted saying anything. Almost. “It took guts to leave. I didn’t want to admit it at the time, but you were doing what was right for you.”
“I…” Buttercup took a fortifying sip of wine. “I hope you know I didn’t leave just because of you. I mean, I hope you know that I didn’t leave to hurt you. I never wanted to hurt you.”
Emboldened by the wine, Jake reached out and took her hand. “C’mon, darlin’. Of course I know that. I know you never wanted to hurt me, and I know it felt like you were ripping your own heart out to leave Charlie behind.” He gave her hand a firm squeeze and something squeezed in his heart when she returned the gesture.
“I wish the pandemic had never happened,” Buttercup sighed. “It would’ve been so much easier to keep to the custody schedule if air travel hadn’t become so dangerous.”
Jake nodded. “I wish the court lady hadn’t transcribed our phone numbers wrong.”
Jake had called his lawyer earlier in the day and found that both of their numbers had been written wrong in the paperwork. It had happened to a few other clients, and that’s how they had come to realize that the court stenographer had been drinking on the job.
Buttercup scoffed. “Yeah…the odds were stacked against us at every turn.”
“You really think so?”
Buttercup blinked at him. “You don’t think so? Your deployments, my diagnosis, the pandemic, the clerical error? You don’t think that was fate stamping a big red X on our family?”
Jake leaned forward, close enough to her that she could smell the sharp tang of his cologne and the deep woodsy undertones that were pure Jake. “I think we had a hell of a lot going for us but neither of us knew how to handle the bumps in the road and we fell apart. Tell me, Buttercup. If we knew then what we know now, would we have made it?”
The question made her pause, made everything inside of her freeze. If her past self had all of her present knowledge, would they have made it? Would they have been able to dig through the tunnel of bullshit and make it out clean on the other side? She could imagine it. The open communication, the therapy, the fights they’d have, but together, not against each other.
She shivered at that imaging and met his green gaze. “I’m getting cold,” she whispered. “I think it’s time we go inside.”
Jake sighed but nodded, taking off his suit jacket and draping it over her shoulders. “Yeah, I think that’s a good idea.”
Knowing that Javy and Nat were on dish duty, he offered Buttercup his elbow and slowly guided her down the path, the silvery light of the moon illuminating mere feet in front of them. She leaned against him more now than she had when they had initially walked the path, but Jake knew that was the jetlag and wine working against her.
“We’ll have to thank Rooster for dinner,” she mumbled as they strolled. “That was probably the best penne I’ve had since—shit!” Her heel caught on a rock in the path and she pitched forward. Quick as a flash of lightning, Jake had her secure against him, one arm wrapped around her waist and one pressing between her shoulder blades.
“I’ve got you, you’re okay,” he murmured into her hair, only realizing how close they were when the scent of Hawaiian orchid wafted over him.
“S-sorry,” she whispered, leaning into his chest more as she steadied herself. She looked up and met his gaze, their noses almost brushing. All it would take was a tilt of her head, and they would be—
Buttercup abruptly pulled away from him, leaning down to take off her shoes and dangling them between her fingers.
“Sorry,” she murmured again. “I didn’t mean to…I can’t…”
“Hey, it’s okay,” Jake’s hand warmed the middle of her back. “No harm done, right?”
Buttercup gulped back the knot in her throat as she nodded. “Yeah…no harm done.”
What will happen when Jake learn from Neytiri and his sister how before the war there are some Navi men and women from different tribes try to court his sister and even after the war they still try to ask her as a mate but still gotten shut down each time
Tumblr media
Pair: Human reader x neytiri x jake (family moments)
Warning: None, neytiri and reader being bestie. More auntie content <3
AVATAR MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
"Do you remember that guy…what was his name?" speaks Neytiri. As they both laughed and worked on the family dinner. Watching their children run around the hut and play. Jake was sitting next to his partner, also helping to prepare everything. His sister didn't live with them, but used to spend time in the family home. "The one who had given you that nice necklace, a couple of months ago" says neytiri.
"Ohh are you talking about Lewaymä, yes I remember him. He was cute" you chuckle a little. While neytiri pats you on the shoulder. "You're talking like he's dead…I'm asking you if you remember him. Because he asked me about you" says neytiri, laughing mischievously. "Ahh yes?, I thought he had a mate" you say as you continue to cut some fruit.
"Well no…he's single and he told me he was still interested in you." Neytiri looked excited about it. It could have been a long time since you two met. But when you were together you felt like children again.
You two had met years ago, even before Jake came to Pandora. You were one of the youngest humans to arrive at pandora, at the age of 16. Your intelligence and dedication helped you get a scholarship. Joining grace's team, and living with the navis. There you met all the Omaticaya clan and were quickly accepted. Still having your human body. You couldn't have an avatar, because of some DNA complications. So you were also one of those humans that were taken as a sample to see how the navis and humans behaved.
You and Neytiri became very close friends very quickly, you were both the same age. And you liked to talk, walk and learn from both of you. It hurt you very much when you had to separate, it was like another loss for Neytiri. You had spent so much time together, that when you saw each other after a while, when jake was entering the clan. Neytiri's emotion was unique, hugging you and giving you lots of kisses. Even mo'at and her father embraced you, calling you daughter, welcoming you as part of the clan. Even tsu'tey got excited when he saw you.
"What man are you talking about?" asked Jake, now he was the one who was surprised. His little sister had lovers? He couldn't believe it. It wasn't that you were ugly or anything. You were a beautiful, talented and kind woman. But he was surprised that Navi men were interested in a human. "Lewaymä he's been after Y/N for years" says neytiri.
"Are you kidding me?" says Jake, turning to mock you. You give him a quick punch in the arm. "What's wrong with you, you idiot!!!" you yell a little, throwing a piece of food at your brother. "Even if you don't believe it, I have my lovers…very good lovers" you say snickering a little. You can hear how jake laughs out loud, looking at neytiri who was looking at him with a bad look.
"Laugh all you want…but Y/N has made the best warriors of some of the clans fall in love with her. Remember when Tìnzaik had started to seduce you?" says neytiri. You blush at the memory. A navi girl from the war clan had tried to court you. It was not a common thing, but for her you were so interesting and beautiful. You had been in that clan for a while, doing some tours with grace. Of course you rejected the proposal, you didn't feel ready. But Neytiri had been teasing you all week about what happened.
"Are you serious?" Jake still didn't believe it. You decided to ignore him, while you and Neytiri kept talking about your stuff. You weren't going to lose your patience with your brother. After a while, Neytiri ordered jake to go get some things so we could finish dinner. Jake came out of the house, picked up what neytiri ordered him to pick up. But he stopped for a moment, when he saw a tsu'tey approaching. Always with that perfect posture, stunning. Jake noticed that the man had some object in his hand.
"Jakesully" says tsu'tey, laughing a little as he approached him. "Is something wrong?" asks jake, the man can see how his colleague is getting a little nervous. The more he talked to him the more he could notice how he kept moving anxiously, until he interrupts him out of nowhere. "Jake…mmm I don't know if you can" says tsu'tey, lifting the object he had in his hands. Handing the gift to jake.
"And what is this?" asks jake. Tsu'tey swallows hard. "It is for Y/N…. I would like you to give it to her" says tsu'tey. He is sure that his plan was going to work. "And what's in this?" says jake. Tsu'tey becomes nervous. "You just hand this to her…she'll understand" says tsu'tey, waving goodbye to jake. Walking as fast as he could, jake watched as tsu'tey even stumbled a bit as he walked away.
Jake arrived at the hut, approaching you. You and Neytiri were joking, while you were holding lo'ak in your arms. "Love here are the things you asked for…and Y/N tsu'tey told me to give you this" says Jake handing you the wrapped object. It was very beautiful, you could see that everything was handmade and with a unique delicate touch. "And this?" you were surprised. Tsu'tey had never given you anything before.
"He didn't say why he sent it?" said Neytiri, coming closer to you. To look at the new gift. "No…he just gave it to me and then left. He looked a little nervous," says Jake. Neytiri lets out a cry of excitement, hugging you and wiggling like a little girl. This surprised Jake, Neytiri never acted like this with him…it was always with you that she shared these emotions. "Open it…I think I know what it is" says the woman, watching as you slowly open the gift. You had to admit that you felt a little nervous…after all it was tsu'tey.
Opening the gift, you could see that it was a top. It was so beautiful, it had beautiful rocks, you could see the details of the vine patterns that probably had been chosen with care. You took the piece carefully and placed it on your chest. It was your size, it was perfect. "It's very pretty…aunt y/n" says lo'ak, touching the gift carefully. "I know…it's beautiful" you speak, still admiring the gift.
"Ahhhh it's a courting gift..tsu'tey is courting you!!! you have to say yes!!!!" neytiri says, your sister-in-law was so excited. "I don't know…" you start talking. "Tsu'tey?" says jake a little surprised. You quickly turn around to take a look at your brother. You laugh a little and give a complicity look to neytiri. She laughs and understands what you want to tell her.
"You know what…maybe I did accept this gift" you say. Jake settles down and gets a little upset. "Ahh no, no…tsu'tey no" jake says. You raise your hand and place your index finger on your brother's lips making him shut up. "Shhhh you shut up" you speak, taking the gift in your hands again. Neytiri starts laughing hysterically, teasing her mate. Jake gets upset, taking lo'ak from your arms.
"I think he's upset now," Neytiri says, laughing as you stick your tongue out at your brother.
Natasha Romanoff, once known as the enigmatic Black Widow, and her partner Y/n —a woman whose own story of resilience and love complements Natasha’s—welcome us into their private sanctuary.
Join us as we delve into the personal and poignant, revealing the human stories behind the headlines and the remarkable journey of Natasha and Reader in their serene, hidden haven
***********
As I step into the living room of Natasha Romanoff and y/n, I’m immediately struck by the serene atmosphere that contrasts sharply with their high-profile pasts and celebrity. The space is meticulously curated, with soft hues and tasteful decor creating an environment that feels both intimate and inviting. All around us, there are subtle hints of their life with children, including the American Girl doll seated directly in front of me.
Natasha and y/n are seated on a large, comfortable sectional sofa, their closeness evident yet subtly restrained. They are dressed in coordinating outfits—Natasha in a sleek navy blouse and dark jeans, y/n in a navy dress that complements Natasha’s attire without matching exactly. It’s an understated coordination that feels more like an effortless choice rather than a deliberate statement.
They sit close enough to show their connection but maintain just enough space to breathe. Natasha’s posture is upright, her demeanor calm but attentive, while y/n exudes a quiet, steady presence beside her. There’s a natural ease in their interaction, a palpable mutual respect.
I take my seat across from them, feeling the gentle shift in the room’s energy as I prepare to dive into the questions. With a quick glance at my notes and a brief check of my recorder, I open the conversation. "First of all, I want to start off by saying thank you for accepting Time Magazine's interview request. It's a pleasure being able to be in your presence and get to know you a little more. Can I ask what made you think this was finally the time to do a sit-down interview?"
"Thank you. You're welcome. It's critical that we show our children how important the truth is and the importance of telling it," Natasha says, her gaze unwavering. "We felt that, now, after everything, it was the right time. I am being honored for my transformation and redemption so of course I wanted everything to be in my words."
Y/n smiles, nodding her head as she turns to face me. "We've always been open and honest with our kids about who we are. We didn't want to have some magazine or journalist telling them something about us that was untrue, so we figured why not do it ourselves."
"The last few years have been... a lot," Natasha adds, her voice softening slightly. "We've had some ups and downs, and we thought it would be a good way to tell our side of the story."
"That's wonderful and I definitely agree with getting your side of things out there," I say. "How did you two first meet, and what drew you to each other despite your very different backgrounds?"
"We met in a coffee shop actually," Y/n begins with a subtle smile. "It was about thirteen years ago give or take a year. I was sitting and studying for a law exam. I was in law school at the time. Natasha frequented the coffee shop but I never noticed her until one day I decided to look up and there she was. She caught my attention immediately. We didn't speak until the next time she'd come in and sat at my table. I was her cover."
Natasha nodded her head with a smirk. "I was on a mission and I had to use her. I was supposed to be subtle but I wasn't and I got made. So I sat with her to pretend to study and the rest is history."
"What do you mean by 'the rest is history'?"
"After she'd realized I wasn't going to hurt her, which was obvious because she was a civilian, we began to talk and we just hit it off," Natasha explained.
"She was the most interesting person I'd ever spoken to. She was different, a breath of fresh air," Y/n said. "It was an immediate connection."
"So you've always felt this instant connection between you?" I asked.
"Yes," Natasha responded. "From the moment we met, there was something special between us."
"We both knew it was more than just a physical attraction. There was an instant emotional connection as well," Y/n added.
"What would you say is the biggest challenge of being married to someone who's faced the kinds of hardships and challenges you've faced, y/n? You're a lawyer. How has it affected you both to be on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to the law?"
"It's been difficult," Y/n started, her hand sliding closer to Natasha's. "I've had to watch her go through a lot. The media portrayed her as this monster, but they don't know her. Of course, I don't make excuses or ignore what's in her past. I'm not a person that can simply weigh in on someone's life when it was basically laid out for her."
"There were times that I thought I wouldn't come home to her, but I was lucky enough that she's seen past all of that," Natasha explained.
"She's done a lot of work on herself, and she's changed so much."
"Which brings me to our next question, In what ways has your relationship evolved since you first started dating?"
"We're still best friends," Y/n replied, looking over at Natasha with a soft smile. "Our relationship is stronger than ever. I'd like to think that we've grown up together, and that's been a great gift."
"I agree," Natasha said, returning her smile. "Our relationship is still growing and changing, but I think that's normal and healthy. We've gone through a lot, and we've grown together."
"What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced together, and how have you overcome them? Within reason of course," I assured them there was no need to get too personal if it wasn't necessary to the conversation.
"Well, we've lost a child, my best friend too," Y/n said.
"It's been a lot of trial and error," Natasha stated.
"There are ups and downs with every relationship. It's a journey, and it's about figuring out how to grow and evolve together," y/n explained. "So in the beginning we were both these strong women who didn't really understand the magnitude of what our love meant. So we struggled a lot. I'd like to think we figured things out."
"We're working on it," Natasha laughed. "We've come a long way. It hasn't been easy, but we're working on it."
As the conversation delves into their relationship's evolution and the challenges they've faced, a lighthearted interruption brings a touch of domestic warmth to the interview. The soft chime of a phone ringing cuts through the room’s calm. Natasha glances at the screen, a tender smile spreading across her face as she sees the caller ID.
“Excuse me for a moment,” Natasha says, her voice gentle as she answers the call. "Paige, what's up baby?"
On the other end, a small voice can be heard, clear and earnest. “Mama, can we have ice cream?”
Natasha’s smile broadens, and she exchanges a quick, knowing glance with Y/n before responding with a playful, “We’ll see, sweetheart. What kind of ice cream are you thinking about? Chocolate chip cookie dough. Don't you think three scoops is a lot?”
The response of the child must be one aligned with their personality as Y/n chuckles softly beside her, the sound rich with affection. The brief call, though mundane, offers a glimpse into their everyday life—a moment that underscores the balance they’ve struck between their public personas and their private family world.
As Natasha hangs up and returns her focus to the interview, the atmosphere in the room shifts slightly. The interruption, though brief, adds a layer of intimacy to the conversation.
“It’s these small moments, like a child’s call for ice cream, that remind us of the everyday joys of family life. How have your relationship and your experiences influenced your approach to parenting and managing your family? Especially given your background in the Red Room, Natasha. Has that affected it at all?”
Natasha and y/n exchanged looks, a silent communication passing between them. Y/n reached for Natasha's hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "My experiences have definitely shaped me and helped me grow as a parent. I think for a while, I was afraid to be stern. I was afraid to be anything but gentle. That was an issue, and we had to work through it," Natasha began. "I had to understand what each of my children needs and listen to them. I had to stop walking on eggshells and set boundaries. We had to find our flow."
"But once we did, we were able to find our balance and our rhythm as parents. We're very much a team," Y/n continued.
"You've said you're a team. What do you mean by that? What is the dynamic like between the two of you?"
"We support each other, and we communicate. We're both involved in all aspects of our children's lives. We're both present and involved, and we make decisions together. That's the most important thing to us."
"Do you agree with that, Y/n? Do you feel like the two of you work well together as parents?"
"Yes, I think we work really well together. We're both invested in our children, and we're both committed to giving them the best life possible. We've worked through a lot, and I think that's made us stronger as parents and as a couple." Y/n said. "As for being working parents, it's easy for us to feel guilty when we have to be away. I work corporate now and the hours are much more lax than being ADA in New York but they still keep me busy. I try to be home every night for dinner. We trade off on pickups and drop-offs. We help with extracurriculars. It was important to us to not have nannies in their first few years of life. Natasha's parents help us out a lot. With four adults tackling six kids, it's been a pretty successful journey."
"It sounds like you've both been through a lot, but that you've managed to find strength and comfort in each other. What do you think has enabled you to endure these challenges, and what advice would you give other couples facing similar situations?"
Natasha's expression is thoughtful, her voice warm as she speaks. "I think we are the wrong couple. We would give the advice not to have six kids. I'm only half joking. Truthfully, don't bite off more than you can chew. Laugh sometimes. Understand that your children have their own personalities and lives. "
"We would advise you to communicate. Find ways to laugh and find balance. It's important to spend quality time together, and it's also important to prioritize individuality and personal space," Y/n advised.
"One of your children was recently diagnosed with autism. How has this affected your family, and what steps are you taking to support them?"
"Our youngest son was around two when he was diagnosed as level 1." Y/n began. "We've had a lot of support from the community, and we've found that having a network of people who understand has been invaluable. Our older children are incredibly supportive and understanding. They're doing their best to adapt, and they're learning about autism and how to support their brother."
"For you what were the signs you'd noticed in the beginning?"
"We noticed his lack of speech and the fact that he wouldn't make eye contact sometimes," Y/n answered. "A lot of his story is his to tell when he's old enough. We simply noticed that the way he sees the world and how he navigates it was different than what we had encountered previously. The speech was a big indicator for us. He wasn't necessarily delayed. He did have words later than we've seen but he started talking a little after his first birthday. Then the progress was stagnant for a while."
"It was an uphill battle to get him diagnosed," Natasha added. "A doctor we had seen referred us for an evaluation but then there was a process of everyone denying services simply because he seemed "normal". Their words, not mine. So we had to push for second and even third opinions."
"Once he was finally diagnosed we had to wait and then get a referral. So it was a long journey. But we are happy with his care and happy that we got it." Y/n explained. "He's such a happy kid. His favorite thing to do now is drive. So we got him a little electric car."
"We're lucky. He's been given a diagnosis at such a young age. It's given us a lot of time to prepare and get him the help he needs. There are still some struggles, and we're learning how to best support him, but he's a happy and healthy kid. That's the most important thing."
As they both pause, reflecting on their son’s progress, a quiet sense of gratitude fills the room. I notice the subtle shift in their expressions—while the joy they share in their child’s growth is evident, there’s also a deeper awareness lingering beneath their words.
“It sounds like you’ve worked hard to get him the care he deserves. But I imagine not every family can navigate that journey as successfully. Have your personal experiences influenced your involvement in advocating for children who aren’t able to receive such services as easily?”
Natasha speaks first. “Absolutely. We know that not every family has access to the resources we’ve been fortunate enough to find. And we’re deeply aware of how broken the system can be—how difficult it can be to get a diagnosis, let alone services.”
“That’s a huge part of why we’ve become so involved in local charities and programs. We wanted to find ways to give back and support those who might not have the same opportunities we’ve had. Some so many children go undiagnosed or whose families can’t afford the therapy or services they need. It’s heartbreaking.” Y/n added. “We’ve partnered with a few organizations that focus on providing evaluations and therapy to kids from low-income families. No child should be left behind because of a lack of resources.”
“It’s about creating equity in care. We’ve also started working with a program that connects families with community support, helping them navigate the same bureaucratic challenges we faced. It’s so important that families don’t feel isolated in these experiences.”
"I imagine there are times when it can be difficult to balance your activism and advocacy work with your responsibilities as parents. How do you strike a balance between being hands-on and present for your children and the work you do for children who aren't yours?"
Natasha nods, her eyes softening. "I've had the opportunity to meet a lot of amazing people over the years, and I've learned a lot from the mothers I've met."
The interview continues for a while after this, they are willing to offer more than we thought at this point.
"Natasha, you’ve made a significant transition from being a covert operative to becoming a beloved public figure. How has this shift impacted your personal identity and daily life? Are there any changes you feel are still needed to create a more balanced world?"
"I'd say I'm more grounded. My priorities are my family, and I've made peace with who I was," Natasha said.
"What has been the most challenging aspect of your reformation, and what have you learned about yourself through this process?"
"Honestly, learning to be comfortable in my own skin," Natasha replied, her tone thoughtful. "I spent so many years trying to run away from who I was, and now I'm learning how to accept myself for who I am. It's a process, and it's not always easy, but it's worth it."
"Do you see yourself as a different person today than you were a few years ago? It's really a task to go from Avenger and spy to mother and housewife. If so, how would you describe those changes, and what role have your personal experiences played in shaping them?"
“Absolutely, I’m a different person now,” Natasha said, her gaze thoughtful. “The shift from a life of constant action and secrecy to one focused on family and personal growth has been profound. I’ve gone from being a figure in the shadows to someone who finds joy in the simplicity of daily life. The experiences I’ve had, both the triumphs and the struggles, have shaped me into someone who values authenticity and connection over secrecy and solitude.”
“It’s been a journey of rediscovering who Natasha is beyond her past roles. I’ve seen her grow into someone who truly cherishes family life and finds purpose in being present. The transformation hasn’t been easy, but it’s been incredibly rewarding.”
As Natasha finishes her thought, there’s a brief silence, the weight of her words hanging in the air. Her transformation has clearly been a deeply personal journey, but it's one that also impacts the life she and Y/n have built together.
“Your personal growth is so evident, and it's clear that family plays a huge role in that. Speaking of family, you’ve chosen to live in a nondescript town for safety reasons. How has this decision affected your family life and your sense of community?”
Natasha and Y/n exchange a quick look, both understanding the unique circumstances that brought them to this quiet, unassuming place.
“It’s been a big adjustment, honestly. We chose this town because it offers us a level of privacy and security that’s hard to come by, given Natasha’s past and our family’s unique needs.”
Natasha: “At first, it was difficult. I mean, going from the world we knew—constantly on the move, always in high-pressure situations—to a quiet, suburban life was a huge shift,” she admitted, her expression softening. “But it’s given us a chance to just... breathe. To focus on our kids and our life together without the constant worry of the spotlight or danger.”
“And as for the sense of community, it’s been surprisingly strong. People here don’t pry. They respect our privacy, but they’ve been incredibly supportive. Our children are growing up with a sense of normalcy that we never really had back in New York."
“It sounds like this decision has given you a lot—both the space to focus on your family and a deeper connection to your community. Looking ahead, what are your goals and aspirations for your family and your individual careers?” I commented.
“For our family, I think the biggest goal is to continue creating a stable, loving environment for our kids. We want them to grow up feeling safe, supported, and like they can be whoever they want to be. We’ve faced so many challenges together, but our focus is on moving forward as a unit.”
“Yeah, it’s all about giving them the opportunities we didn’t have growing up. Whether that’s through education, or just being there for them every day. As for careers, I’m still figuring it out, honestly,” Natasha added with a laugh. “I’ve spent most of my life doing one thing, and now that chapter’s closed. But I’m not in a rush. I’m more focused on being present for the kids, supporting Y/n, and maybe finding ways to give back—whether through advocacy or community work.”
“I’m continuing with my legal work, but the focus is more on balancing that with family. We’ve talked about doing more together, maybe starting a foundation to support families with children who need additional services, like our son. That’s something we’re both passionate about.”
Natasha: “We’ve both changed so much over the years, and I think our goals have evolved too. Right now, it’s about keeping our family grounded and finding meaningful ways to contribute to the world.”
As our conversation wound down, Natasha and Y/n shared a look that spoke volumes—an unspoken understanding that their lives, once dominated by secrecy and survival, had shifted into something more tender, more hopeful. They thanked me for the thoughtful questions, and I couldn't help but admire the quiet strength that radiated between them. It was clear that their bond had weathered many storms and that their family was the center of everything they did.
As I left their nondescript home, nestled safely away from the chaos that defined much of Natasha’s earlier years, I couldn’t help but think of the millions of fans who’ve followed her journey from mysterious spy to dedicated mother and advocate. Online, the love for Natasha and Y/n is as strong as it is in person, with fans showing unwavering support for their family.
On Twitter, the response to their candidness in interviews like this one is overwhelming:
@MarvelFanGirl99: “Natasha Romanoff’s transformation is so inspiring. From Avenger to mom of six? She’s proof you can rebuild your life no matter where you start. #RoleModel”*
@JusticeForNatasha: “Hearing Natasha talk about her family is everything. She deserves all the happiness in the world after everything she’s been through. So proud of her! ❤️ #StrongMom”*
@YNatasha4Life: “Y/n and Natasha are the definition of power couple goals. The way they’ve built a life together and support each other? I’m emotional. #LoveWins”*
@AutismAdvocates: *“Kudos to Natasha and Y/n for speaking openly about their son’s autism diagnosis. Representation matters, and their advocacy for services is so important. #Awareness”*
My grandfather was born in 1919*. When he was a child, he worked in a mine in central Pennsylvania. He was a "breaker boy," according to the various sites you'll find online, but when I was a kid, Granddaddy referred to his job as "a picker."
He joined the Navy at 17* to get out of the mines.
It hasn't even been a hundred years. I remember his stories, I remember him telling us how glad he was that none of us could ever end up in that situation.
It hasn't even been a hundred years.
What the fuck.
This is the same state passing laws to protect children from medical care, referring to that medical care as "toxic chemicals," while also voting to send children into fucking mines.
Mines! Known far and wide to not have any "toxic chemicals" in them at all!
Just fucking say "I think the trannies are icky and we need a new wedge issue now that people got used to the faggots," you fucking assholes.
Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Chapter 2
The ballroom was unbelievable, even grander than most of the events you had helped Gojo prepare for. Shimmering chandeliers hung above your heads, casting a warm glow along the men and women below them. An orchestra was spread out playing all over, violinists in balconies, cellists and bassists joined the dance floor, along with waiters and waitresses serving hors d'oeuvres and champagne.
As your heels tapped along the marble floor, you both  made your way into the ballroom, Gojo on your arm. You couldn't help but notice the way heads turned to you both. His charisma was undeniable. Women swooned as they passed, men nodded in respect. Men’s eyes went up and down you, and there were whispers abound at the sight of you two.
“Told you that dress is killer.” Gojo murmured in your ear. You felt your cheeks overheat into a blush.
“They’re looking at you.” You mumble. Gojo looks down at you with a smirk.
“Not only me. But it’s true, I do just walk and make women wet.” He winked at you, and you rolled your eyes, unable to hide a smile.
“You’re too much.” As the words fell out, you saw his grin, and cursed yourself.
“Shit, not like that…”
Suguru Geto came up to you both, then, tall and elegant in a navy blue suit, long dark hair tied back in a top knot, the bottom half flowing. He always looked good, just like Gojo. The two were partners of Kamo tower, and owned a casino together, long friends but they also had a lot of banter between them, as if there was some competition the two held.
Geto was bowing over your hand, taking it and kissing it, like you were in some 1800’s movie. You smiled. Gojo scowled. Geto’s eyes took in your outfit, lingering at your chest, and then peeking over at Gojo, who tensed next to you. Geto had a smirk on his face before looking back at you with dark brown eyes.
“You look exquisite, my lady.” He teased, and you giggled, making Gojo’s grip on your arm tighten.
“Thank you very much, Sir. How are you this evening?”
“Better now that you’re here.”
“That’s enough.” Gojo’s voice cut them off, and you and Geto couldn't help but grin at each other. “Shitheads.”
“You!” Geto and you grinned at each other.
“It’s like two children.” Gojo sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose with frustration. Geto and you always got along well. He was Nanami’s boss, so you know he overworked his employees too, but it seemed he was easier on them than Gojo was with you. No 2AM coke binge rescues or the like.
“Dance later?” Geto asked you. You nodded.
“Of course. We’ll see if the old ballroom courses of my childhood are still any good.” You mused with a little wink.
“And me? Your date ?” Gojo whispered.
“Fake date. Kinda.” He scowls at you. “Yes, you too. I guess.”
Geto snorted at you. “Catch you two later. Gojo, try not to embarrass yourself please.”
“Never.” Gojo held two long fingers in a salute, yanking you away and sauntering over to a waitress. She melted as Gojo smiled. Bastard had charm.
He hands you a glass of wine. “Thank you.”
He nods his head and you take a sip of the pink liquid, tart but sweet, letting it hit your tongue, moaning in delight. When your eyes open, he’s staring at you, intensely with those damn devil eyes. You tilt your head curiously, but before you say anything, one of the main donor couples comes up to you both. Older couple, stuck up but obviously, they regard you.
“May I introduce my assistant, and date, tonight.” Gojo tells them your name, then, and they greet you formally. “She’s a Yale grad. Law school. Don’t ask me how I convinced her to work for me.” Gojo gave a charming grin.
“It’s so lovely to meet you, we’ve heard a lot about Mr. Gojo’s mysterious assistant.” The woman says, and you tried not to show how uncomfortable you were under the scrutiny. Gojo just… talked you up? Wow.
“Indeed. You’ve helped catapult Mr. Gojo in quite a manner. Makes sense that you’d be in law.” The man agreed.
“Oh, thank you two. It’s such a pleasure.” You shake both of their elegantly gloved hands, smiling cordially. “It definitely has been a good partnership for us both. We have been making moves.”
Gojo stiffened. “I will catch you two later.” He unceremoniously dragged you to a balcony, then, as if you’d teleported it was so fast.
You blink, taking in your surroundings, the cool night air hitting your bare shoulders and back, making you shiver. Gojo had backed you up against the railing, an arm on either side of you on the balustrade, leaning down to peer into your eyes, his own shimmering from the moonlight outside. You briefly just let yourself lose it in them. But only for a moment.
“What’s wrong?” You ask softly, and try to peer behind him, however he’s too tall, shoulders too broad, trapping you.
“You said it like you’re leaving.” He bit out the words.
“Well, I probably am.”
“Give me a chance to change your mind.”
You sigh. “Gojo, this show you’re putting on or whatever… like acting as if you’re interested in me now… it’s weird. Let’s not end on horrible terms.”
You reach out to his shoulders, and he pushes forward, intimidating, towering over you even as he bent at the waist. You lick your lips. His eyes darted to them like a hawk.
“Give me the two weeks to change your mind. If you still want to leave me, then I will not complain. Deal?”
You sigh, hating the nearness, the way he made you ache. Your body came alive with his nearness. “Fine. I will give it some thought. Also I wouldn’t leave without finding and training someone.”
“I want you, though. To work… for me.” He trailed off, looking to the side, as if even he was confused at his words.
“I’ll give it some time, okay. Back off psycho.” You shove had his hard chest, ignoring how good it feels against your palms. He grins, glinting in the night, as did the silver of his hair that fell low over his brow.
“Good girl.” He teased you, and you sighed, reaching up to slick back the little spike of his hair that had fallen. It grew quiet between you both, your hand pausing there, breath catching in your chest.
“Your hair was…”
“Yeah.”
“Mmm.”
The thudding of your hearts melded together, the noises of the music and chattering distant.
“You gonna dance with me too? Or just Suguru.”
You laugh a bit, letting your hand fall. “I’ll dance with you too.”
“Bet I dance better than you.”
“Bet taken.” You shoved him off, and he let you go finally, walking back into the decadent hall.
You two talk to numerous donors and other CEOs, breaking off at a certain point so he could tackle the older ladies, you the older men. Nanami pops into your field of vision, then. You grow embarrassed, thinking about what had just happened in the limo, what you’d said…
Nanami’s glasses are off, a rare sight, similar to Gojo’s shades, and his light green eyes were showing. He smiles at you, with a little glass plate of treats in one hand.
“Hungry?” He asks. You nod, popping a little tart into your mouth.
“Delicious. Ugh thank you! I forgot to eat anything.” You nibble on another, and he gives you a tired half smile.
“Working on the birthday hmm? Fucking Gojo.”
“I know. It hasn’t been the worst, though. I really… didn’t have any plans anyway. But I wanted to relax.”
“No plans… sounds like me.” He sighed with a little chuckle, and then his eyes narrowed, and you noticed Gojo’s scowling across the room at the two of you. “What’s his deal today?”
“He found out I may quit and he’s super fucking pissed.” You grumble.
“Quit? And leave me alone in the shithole?” Nanami frowned, and you felt bad suddenly.
“I wasn’t a hundred percent yet, but now Gojo wants to try to convince me to stay here.”
“Well yeah, you do everything but change and feed the little asshole.” You cover a laugh with your hand, and Gojo walks toward you all, thankfully getting stopped by one of his colleagues, but he manages to shoot a piercing gaze your way. “No, he looks mad at me. Hmm.”
You want to fall into the earth as you think of what you had said in the limo once more, and Gojo was back on the prowl, standing tall in the sea of swaying bodies.
Fuck don’t say anything, Satoru.
“What’s wrong?” Nanami calls your name, shaking you out of your reverie. You plaster on a fake smile.
“Oh, nothing.”
“Hmm.” He eyes you then. “You look beautiful by the way, birthday girl.”
You flush under his praise, looking down, shy like some little school girl again. A compliment from Nanami was always sincere. “Thank you, Nanami.”
“ Thank you, Nanami .” Came Gojo’s silken voice, higher pitched as it mocked you openly. Nanami grimaced next to you.
Nanami tensed, nodding. “Gojo.”
“Kento.” Gojo practically bit the word out.
They scowled at each other for a long moment, and soon Geto had joined, enjoying himself thoroughly. He called out your name.
“Dance, love?” Geto holds out his hand, and you watch as Nanami and Gojo both scowl at him.
“She’s promised me one.” Gojo snatches your hand up. You glare up at him, snatching it right back.
“I was going to ask for one with the birthday girl.” Nanami was so sweet, you think to yourself, even if he looked like he wanted to punch Gojo. You also wanted to punch Gojo.
“My my, you’re the lady of the evening.” Came another voice, and you turned to see Ieri Shoko, Geto’s partner. She also wore a black gown, shorter, cinching in at the waist. Her dark circles rivaled yours and Nanami’s, no, they were deeper. But it kind of suited her pretty face.
“Hello, Shoko.” Gojo winked at her. She rolled her eyes.
“Gojo… you’re…. Here. Hmm.” Shoko shrugged, irritating Gojo to no end, and you lived for it, unable to conceal your grin. “Who will you dance with first, hmm?” She asked you.
Shit.
You looked at them all, then looked back at her with a smirk. “You, Shoko?”
She laughed softly at that, rubbing your shoulder, shaking you just a bit. “I’d pick Nanami.”
“Bitch.” Gojo got a stomp on the foot, and grunted, scowling over to Shoko. “Ahem. My apologies. I’ll dance with Shoko, she’s begging me, you know, and get a dance after.”
“Fuck I don’t want to…”
Shoko got led out to the floor by Gojo, then, and you watched on in amusement, ignoring some odd budding feeling that joined that.
“You two dance first. I will catch you after. I’m quite enjoying this show.” Geto winked at you, popping a snack into his mouth and heading on, leaving you with Nanami, which grew more awkward as you struggled to keep your mind off of earlier. Nanami holds his hand out, and you put yours in his.
You two step out, amongst the crowded ballroom floor, and before you know it, you are gracefully dancing with Nanami Kento, his steady hazel gaze upon you. Yes, they were hazel, you determined.
As you twirled and swayed, you felt a sudden surge of unease wash over you for some reason. You glanced towards the far end of the room, where Gojo watched you, his piercing blue eyes fixed intently upon you as he danced.
A flicker of anger flashed across his handsome features, his usually playful demeanor replaced by an icy glare, directed where Nanami’s hands rested on your waist. Your heart pounded in your chest as you continued to dance with Nanami, your every move seemingly observed by Gojo's watchful gaze.
“You’re quite the dancer.” Nanami said softly, and you focused back on him, then, your feet moving in sync with his own in a fluid, slow motion.
“You’re always so nice to me.”
“You’re a good person. Not too many in this industry. Or the world, for that matter.”
“Always so serious.” You teased, hand tightening a bit on the tan jacket he wore, feeling his well muscled arms underneath. “But thank you. I always appreciate you, it’s nice to have someone at work to feel comfortable with. I think we would hang out and be friends if allowed to have a life.”
Nanami’s eyes took you in, seriously, appraising you. “I think I could squeeze in time to… hang out… as you say. If you stay.” The words sounded so odd coming from Nanami, as if he were just too elegant to say ‘hang out.’. You smirk.
“Netflix and chill, you mean?” Nanami turned red, clearing his throat and spinning you around. “I’m teasing!”
“Ahem.”
“You’re blushing. The Nanami Kento.” You flutter your eyelashes at him, and his grip tightens just a bit as he lets out the smallest laugh.
“I would…”
“Song’s over.” Gojo came sauntering up, then. “You know, Kento, my little assistant here said that out of anyone in the office, she-”
Gojo’s next words were muffled by your hand, one hand yanking him down by his shirt so he could bend far enough for your hand to reach. Nanami blinked, confused, and Gojo licked your palm, making you yank it back. You let out a fake laugh, nudging Gojo with your elbow harshly.
“Aha I said you were my best… co worker!” You proclaimed proudly.
“She said you’re hot as-”
“Hot as a friend! Sure did!” You shoved Gojo away, or tried to, however he was surprisingly heavy for being skinny. He didn’t budge, amused expression, practically fucking devious. He raised a brow, one side of his mouth tilting up.
Nanami frowned. “Hot as a friend.” He carefully repeated. You wanted to smack yourself. Would Gojo really ruin the one possible crush you had by making you super awkwardly ruin it?
He sure would.
“She means to say she’d ride…”
“Ride a… horse sometime! It’s a dream of mine.” Nanami blinked. “Ahem, Satoru, care to dance?” You asked, your voice high pitched, crackling. Gojo's lush lips curled into a smirk as he extended his hand, his grip surprisingly gentle.
“As the Lady commands.” He gives you a mocking bow, eyes looking up at you, and you smile at Nanami apologetically, knowing you’ve confused the ever loving shit out of him.
“Thank you for the dance, Nanami.” You smile, and his eyes narrow at Gojo before he nods, walking off. As you step into Gojo’s embrace, you jerk, for it’s like a hum of electricity when his hands hit your waist. Big, giant hands, wrap around your small waist with ease. He made you feel extra small.
“Never thought you’d ask.” Gojo took you and spun you by the arm, in a fancy little pirouette, before bending you backwards over his forearm, slipping you back up and making you gasp.
“Jesus… you sure can fucking move.” You murmur, in confusion, but you had to admit you were impressed.
He knew, too, with his self satisfied grin. “You haven’t seen shit yet, baby girl.” Gojo spun you again, bringing him against your chest, lifting your leg to wrap around his own, bending forward.
“Baby girl again, hmm?” Your voice was breathy. It was hot to be just tossed back and forth into and out of his arms, as the music played. “Why call me that?”
“Because I like to.” He stood you up to where you were back against him, and small applause shot out, making you realize they’d watched you all.
“I stroked your ego too much.”
“You should stroke other things.”
“Satoru!” You huffed, vivid imagery of what at the moment was hard pressed against your tummy. You gulp. “You’re amazing though. At dancing.”
“I’m amazing at everything.”
“And so modest.” Your eyes roll back, shaking your head at him. Gojo eases you against him as the song changes, and your hands go up against his chest, finding him warm, firm, heartbeat slow and steady.
“Fuck modesty. It’s bullshit.”
“Is it?”
“Mmm.” Why did the man basically purr and moan his words? It made it difficult to stay irritated with him. “So… since it’s my job to convince you to stay, why don’t you come on the boat with me tomorrow?”
“Your boat?” You ask, confused. Gojo would take girls on his boat over the weekend and party. That was about all his boat got used for.
“Yes, my boat.”
“I can’t swim.”
Gojo laughed then, shaking his head. “I’ll get you a life jacket, princess. No worries. I’m an excellent swimmer. If you fall I’ll catch you.”
You both paused, because for a moment there was something there, something sincere. You studied him, swaying side to side. “Will you?”
He gave a little nod. “It occurs to me though you’ve spent non-stop time by my side for over two years, we hardly know each other. Maybe… maybe we should try to fix it. Before you leave… if you leave, you should actually know me. Yeah?”
You nod. “I think I’d like that. You’re being oddly mature. Are you feeling okay?” You teased to ease the tension, but Gojo was rather serious.
“I didn’t like you dancing with Kento.”
You grin. “Oh?”
“Oh.”
“You almost told him… ugh!”
“Lucky I didn’t. ‘I’d fuck Nanami’ I swear…”
“He is hot.” You shrug. His hands tighten around you, fingers digging in tender flesh.
Your eyes shot up, drinking in the beautiful man, those blue eyes doing things. “Bet you beg me to fuck you on the boat..”
“Bet I never do!” You hiss back. There was the Gojo you were used to.
“We’ve danced for three songs, you know.”
“I…” You sighed, realizing indeed they were surrounded by different people, different melodies. “Huh.”
“I could give you a birthday orgasm in the bathroom. Oof!” You punched him subtly in the stomach, shaking your hand and wincing as it tingled. “The fuck! You’re such a bitch.”
“You’re a pervert. Dick.” You turned from him, but he followed you, much to your dismay, gripping you by your wrist, standing behind you.
“I am so generous and you just abuse me.”
“Child.” You did not leave the embrace however.
“Deep down…” He whispered, bending down, caressing your bare back, all the way up your spine, slowly. You felt pleasure surge through you. “You want this. Maybe you always did.”
“Did not. Do not.” You let out a tiny little cry, covering your mouth, whirling to look at him, bent down, wild fucking look on his face.
“You melt with a touch. Imagine me trying.”
His voice was husky, pulling you back into an embrace. You were toward the hall, now, away from most of the guests. Some had started to head out. Had you lost time in his arms? Just what the fuck was going on with you…
“I told you, fucking me won’t make me stay.”
“So I could?”
“No! Ugh.”
“You’re not even trying to get away.”
You shut your eyes, and you realized you were exhausted, but also just fucking intrigued. “Why’d you never… not that I wanted you too! But…”
“Because you are a stuck up bitch. Not because you’re not hot. You are. Very… very hot.”
“Fuck you I am not stuck up!”
“Let me rephrase. You come off that way? You’re kind of scary.”
You laughed, then, realizing you were losing your shit. “Scary? Me.”
“Kind of. Intimidating.” Gojo was laughing with you.
“Me?”
“Mmhmm. Probably why men don’t hit on you much. You’re so fucking… nerdy and so serious. Look like you’d tie me up and force me to watch your powerpoint presentations or some shit. That’s probably your kink.”
At that you lost it, shaking your head, laughing so hard tears fell from the corners of your eyes, holding your tummy. You walked off, and Gojo followed, a confused smile on his face as he watched you lose your mind.
“Fuck off… I don’t have… a kink.”
“None?” Gojo followed you out to one of the balconies, leaning his back against it as you leaned forward with your arms. The twinkling stars glittered across the black expanse of the sky. “How do you not have any kink? Breeding, CCNC, bdsm…”
“Uh… no clue.”
“Well, when’s the last time you had sex? The 1800s?”
You snort loudly. “Um… basically. College.” Gojo’s eyes looked like they were about to pop out of his head. “Stuff it, Satoru.”
“My assistant is a whole nun!”
“Am not!”
“Damn near a virgin.” He taunts you, hand sliding across the railing, against your own hand, resting atop it.
“No… though I’d take back the couple of experiences I’ve had. They were… shitty to say the least.” You shiver in disgust as you think of the drunk couple of evenings, which was about all you had to judge by.
“That’s tragic. No wonder you’re bitchy.”
“I’m not a bitch!”
Gojo gave you that crooked grin. “What kind of boss would I be if I didn’t offer to lick the bitchiness out of you?”
“Oh my god!” You buried your face in your hands with a chuckle. “You’re ridiculous. This only works with women because you’re hot, you know.”
“I’m hot, huh?” He wiggled his brows, and you glared.
“You’re exhausting.”
“Want me to take you home? Or… my place?”
“Home sounds good.”
“I’ll text Kiyotaka.” Gojo whipped out his phone, thumbs hitting with quick precision. “He’ll be here in a few. Now, boat?”
“I thought I would get a day off tomorrow?”
“You do. Get off all over-”
“Oh god. I’ll go wait out front.”
You push off, shoving him out of your way. “I’ll have Kiyotaka pick you up tomorrow night.”
“I didn’t agree?”
“ You know you want to. ” Came his sing-song voice. “Come on, live a little.”
“Fine. But forreal bring a lifejacket.” You head toward the entrance, saying your goodbyes to those you knew. Blushing like a mess when Nanami evaluated you with curious eyes, and when you apologized for not dancing with Geto, whose gaze was amused.
Fucking Gojo.
Who was following you, by the way, hands in his pockets, heading down the stairs to where the car already was. Kiyotaka really looked tired. You slid into the open door with a thank you, but Gojo did not let Kiyotaka shut it. He held it open, leaning against the opening, making you look as the white dress shirt stretched over his lean chest.
You shift in your seat, and he catches you like a hawk. “I’d love to leave but I do have to finish a conversation or two. I would take care of that for you.”
“That!?” He looked to your lap, making you shift again, crossing your legs, then uncrossing them with a huff.
“Oh. Happy birthday, assistant.” He leaned in, far too close, tucking a lock of your hair behind your ear. You thought wildly he may kiss you…
How would you react?
Push him away. Right?
Right?
Gojo leaned back, grinning like the devil that he was.
“Thank you, Satoru.” You sigh, leaning back and shutting your eyes as Gojo shut the door, tapping the hood.
What the fuck.
KAYDENGARETH HEADCANNONS
Tumblr media
I like to think their book could've been called God of Misery. Why? I don't know. It just sounds cool.
Gareth has extreme OCD. As children, Killian used to mess with his things, hide them or displace them from their original place which made him develop an obsessiveness with knowing where all his things were kept.
Kayden inhales copious amounts of black coffee in a day. I'm talking 8-9 ventis.
Gareth is blackmailed convinced by Kayden to become his teaching assistant.
Kayden wanted easy access and to have tabs on Gareth the whole time, but it backfires when Gareth organizes his entire schedule, all his coursework and makes additional notes for him to go over.
Kayden is a tie hoarder. Navy blue, scarlet red, violet, turquoise, beige, you name it, he has it.
Asher thinks he's Gareth's inspiration to become a lawyer, but Gareth watched Suits.
Kayden wears suspenders.
Gareth's aim is better than most Heathens, even Jeremy. But he doesn't enjoy hurting people. The accuracy with which he throws a pencil at a teacher flirting with Kayden is impressive.
He's equally good at fleeing situations.
Kayden is the kind of professor who challenges his students to do something ridiculous to get out of writing the final exam. His students think he's cool, but Gareth knows he just hates grading papers.
Gareth's handicap in golf is +1. He has been his grandfather's golfing buddy for ages.
Kayden has a license to fly planes. Don't ask him how he got it though.
Yes, they join the mile high club.
Gareth is extremely good with cheating at card games much to Kayden's chagrin during strip poker.
Kayden is acquaintances by association with Kyle, Gareth's uncle.
Gareth has lost count of the number of times he's caught himself drooling every time Kayden takes his suit jacket off.
Kayden is more flirtatious by nature but sometimes Gareth says suggestive things that make him speechless. Most times, Gareth does it accidentally.
Kayden: *complaining about how his body is aching from sitting in a chair all day* Gareth: I can help you relax if you'd like. Kayden: Gareth: Kayden: Gareth: I have a massage therapist license.
Gareth wears reading glasses because he is a reader by nature. He can read instructions off a shampoo bottle day after day, year after year just to have something to read while he showers.
Kayden has to physically stop himself from reacting and ask for strength from greater forces the first time he sees Gareth pull out gold-rimmed glasses and put them on while he was helping grade assignments. He does fantasize about helping Gareth take the glasses and more off.
Killian is the last of the Heathens to find out about Gareth's involvement with his professor. And it's not in a fun manner.
He catches Kayden being pushy with his older brother, misunderstands and nearly pummels his face in.
He has to be thrown off Kayden who is one second away from rearranging his boyfriend's younger brother's face.
Killian is gaping when he puts two and two together about what is happening.
Before he can make a joke at his expense, Gareth gives him a look that dares him to say something or deal with consequences like never before. Killian stays quiet mostly because he's never seen that murderous look on his brother's face, no matter how far he pushed him.
"You can do better than him" he's telling Kayden as he leaves. "Not in this lifetime, no" Kayden responds, pulling Gareth closer.
Kayden participates in the initiation to pull an uno reverse and chase the green mask down. It makes some of the participants stop and stare in bewilderment.
Gareth is competitive to a fault. Like- I would edit an entire Wikipedia page to win an argument- competitive.
Kayden is not as competitive and doesn't particularly care about winning but he loves egging Gareth on till he gives him a reason to put his tie collection to good use (:
They have been caught in a situation where someone was knocking at the door to Kayden's office, opposite which they were making out.
Gareth watches Kayden roll his sleeves up with hawk eyes and almost groans in torture when he sees the protruding veins.
Once Kayden finds out about Gareth's obsession with watching him undress, he puts on a show every. single. time.
But then Gareth, Gareth with his long, slender fingers and perfectly cleaned, shaped and filed nails, helps undress him one time and Kayden is a goner.
Gareth wears a chain with Kayden's ring around his neck, something Kayden goes feral whenever he looks at. He's pulled Gareth closer with it on multiple occasions.
Kayden puts his hand on Gareth's thigh while driving.
Are Asher and Reina surprised when Gareth brings a boyfriend home? Yes. Do they care about the gender of their son's partner? No.
Even Kayden gets along better with Asher than Killian does.
Kayden is loved by Reina. Like she would adopt him the moment Asher looks away.
Killian never apologizes for what he said but he does ask Gareth if he'd like to go hunting together sometime. It's a truce that Gareth is more than happy to accept.
Kayden takes Gareth out flying to propose when they'd be over the crystal-clear waters and passing through clouds only to realize he forgot to bring the ring with him in his anxiety and haste.
He improvises and proposes to Gareth in bed, rehashing the entire thing making him laugh and accept.
Gareth then reaches into his nightstand and pulls out the ring he was planning to propose with.
"You can just pretend to be surprised tomorrow at your surprise proposal" Gareth is telling him between kisses. "I can pretend to do anything as long as I'm doing it with you."
Brainrot is kicking in, work has me by the throat, I am so tired
Enter: self indulgent sillies
Shanks and Buggy both were kidnapped very often as children - be it by Marines, enemy pirates, Whitebeard on occasion, random ass guys targeting two unattended children, whatever.
They both have gotten so desensitized to it that they don't even get scared anymore. It becomes more "I'm not held here with you, you're stuck here with ME" type of situation.
Buggy is sassy, snarky, rude and sarcastic. Shanks pops in now and again with some completely out of pocket shit that sends Buggy into hysterics. Think that scene from Helluva Boss with Blitzø and Moxxie being kidnapped.
This complete lack of care extends well into their adulthood - Shanks because it's honestly kind of funny that someone had the audacity to try him, Buggy because sarcasm and sass is his defense mechanism.
Enter: Cross Guild.
Marines try an infiltration mission to Cross Guild, but they severely underestimated the organization. Mihawk was off island at the time, so they thought that the biggest powerhouse who could identify them via observation haki was gone. Buggy notices immediately both because his haki is oversensitive and he's gotten scarily good at reading body language. Crocodile, when informed, proposes they give the squadron what they want with interest.
A series of unfortunate events lead to Buggy and some of the crew shackled and in the plaza. Buggy's got seastone cuffs on wrists and feet both, and has failed to mention the mini transponder in his hair piece. The Marines made the mistake of cuffing him behind his back, thinking it would limit his knife skills. They don't know that Buggy's anxiety and paranoia has lead to him having a secret pin in his boots specifically to pick locks.
Buggy then proceeds to roast the men with all he's got while he works.
The others present are both confused and fighting laughter as the commanding officer gets more and more pissed off before he finally backhands Buggy dark enough to split his lip. Then a hand clutches his throat, lifting him slightly. Buggy splutters. The marine grins, a nasty thing, demands Buggy apologizes, complaining about the blood on his white sleeve. Buggy tries to speak and can't from the lack of air.
"Oh," the officer coos, "what is it? Finally going to beg forgiveness?" He loosens his grip just enough for Buggy to get some air, lowers enough for the other to go on tiptoes to get a strangled breath. Buggy cracks an eye open, a smile blooming on his face.
"H-Harder, daddy~"
The Marine drops him in disgust.
No matter what they try, Buggy has a come back. Crocodile is listening in, and Mihawk, upon arriving back, has joined him to avoid the navy presence. They're both a bit stunned, a little intrigued, and mayhap rethinking some preconceived notions of the clown.
Especially when there's sound over the transponder snail, a little clink, thump, a shout, and something wet.
"Well," Buggy's voice carries over. "Who's next? Come on, I haven't got all day, you already made me miss two appointments, you dull Neanderthals."
There's a sound like a sword being drawn, a war cry, and Buggy chuckles. "Ohh. You're stupid, huh? That's okay, Buggy likey dumby~"
Turns out even in seastone cuffs, even in twice as much as a typical pirate or criminal wears, Buggy is more than capable of taking out a squadron. He uses his surroundings to his advantage, fighting dirty and taunting them playfully, much to the admiration of the other's present. One cuff is off his wrist, but three more are still on him, cutting off his powers. He still manages to not get cut until the near end.
Even then, it's because one of the stragglers tried attacking his chained subordinates. Buggy gets a cut to the cheek, mild and harmless, maybe needing stitches, but he's furious. "No no no," he grits out, "You're playing with me right now." A stolen sword sinks into an opening with ease. Buggy leans in close. "Don't you ever fucking touch my children. Understand?"
No response. Buggy shifts the sword. There's a scream.
"Understand?"
"Y-yes..."
"Yes what?"
"Y-yes... s-sir."
Buggy snorts. "I was looking for your majesty." Then he yanks the blad up and out, leaving the body to slump to the ground. He turns to the few remaining. "Well?"
Buggy handles it on his own, the followers are even MORE fanatic, and Crocodile and Mihawk are facing a sudden and unexpected paradigm shift while watching Buggy happily eat a bowl of ice cream, kicking his feet happily and simply vibing like it's a typical Tuesday afternoon.
Stolen Wife - 2
Tumblr media
Synopsis – Tommy Shelby is married to Grace, but he becomes obsessed with Y/N, wife of Reuben Fitch, Tommy’s business partner in the U.S. who is unaware of his actual “business”
This blog supports Palestine. Zionists are not welcome here.
Tumblr media
You were both nervous and excited, when the nice lady invited you and Rueben, you could sense his hesitation, and you were ready to make an excuse to get out of it but when her son tugged on Rueben’s slacks and asked Rueben to come see and meet his friends, you could sense Rueben’s resolve melting a little. You smiled, seeing your big soft teddy bear of a husband accepting the invitation of little Charlie Shelby.
Rueben looked at you with questioning eyes, you smiled and nodded. Rueben promised that cute little boy that he would definitely come to meet him and his friends at the ball.
Your husband was an introvert and so were you, but he had the courage to ask you out after two months of fleeting glances in the local coffee shop you both frequented. You were pretty sure Rueben timed his breaks to come to see you during those two months just like you used to wait for him for a chance to see charming and handsome devil you now proudly called your husband. Destiny is weird but for you, Rueben was your destiny, and you were his…
His club business had brought him to the U.K., Birmingham specifically, but you had cousins in London, so you decided to tag along with your husband and visit them and then join your husband in Birmingham. It was a nice change of pace; both of your professional lives were hectic and so this mini vacation of sorts came at the right time.
Your husband is ex-Navy, and he does not trust many people around him or even his business anyone but his squad, and they even adopted you into their little family, something you are eternally grateful for. You asked your husband if his squad could join both of you after a weekend together in Birmingham and your husband agreed with no qualms, little did you know, half of his squad was already planning on joining both of you on this elusive business trip. Rueben always has backup, he never wanted to be involved directly but Tommy Shelby insisted on joining him at his mansion, Arrow House, as his guest but Rueben refused, you can never trust anyone in this business especially the new partners.
Half of Rueben’s squad had already landed in the U.K., prior to his visit to the King of Birmingham, and the other half was back at home. Rueben made sure to book the suite under a fake name, nothing that could be traced back to him or you…
Rueben picked you up from the train station, he loved your quirks, how you hated public spaces like clubs but loved trains, how you pretended to love coffee for him but in reality, you loved tea. How you always made sure to pack him lunch and always made him make dinner for both of you. Rueben never thought he could have a normal life, but meeting you made him believe he at least had to give it a shot, he dragged his feet for two months only to later succumb to his crush, infatuation, his desire to see you daily whatever you can call it. You were his world and he was yours…Your relationship was something true, something solid, something filled with love and determination, something only few people ever find in their life and you were the lucky ones.
At the ball –
Your gracious husband bought you a cool purple gown because he wanted to make you feel like a queen, his queen…Who would’ve thought for once in your lifetime you and your husband would love dressing up? Both of you were giggling like teenagers and acting like royalty.
Just like you assumed the ball was extravagant, more extravagant than anything you had ever seen before. You looked at the wastage of money, these assholes can easily donate money, but they need these stupid ass-kissing events to donate to children in need…
You held on to your husband tightly, out of your element but still giddy about dressing up with your king bear. Just like you, your husband did not leave you alone even while mingling with the people he knew…
“Good evening, Mr. Fitch, I did not expect to see you here…” Tommy commented in his Brummie accent as he joined your group of people, and they left both of you alone with this new person.
“Hello, Mr. Shelby…” Rueben greeted, and you could sense Rueben’s unease.
“I was convinced to join your charity ball by a very insistent Charlie Shelby, whom I couldn’t disappoint.” Rueben replied, you may have missed the implication, but Tommy didn’t, just like Charlie, you were not involved.
“And you must be Mrs. Fitch” Tommy turned towards you, his eyes consuming you.
“Hi, I’m Y/N” you say meekly as you extend your right hand to shake Tommy’s, but Tommy Shelby had something else in his mind, he brings your hand close to his eager lips, kissing the back of your hand much to your shock. You look at your husband clearly annoyed just like you. You feel a chill running down your spine. You take back your hand quickly, trying to escape this man. You lean on your husband to send him a clear signal and your loving husband grabs you by the waist and tugs you towards him, in his embrace… Rueben kisses the top your head to calm you down meanwhile Tommy Shelby watches the interaction enviously. Rueben is fuming with anger, but he is smart, he knows Tommy has his eye on you, something Rueben had been trying to avoid from the start. There is a tense atmosphere around the three of you, thankfully Grace joins in unaware of the charged scene and asks Tommy to mingle with other guests, Thomas Shelby leaves reluctantly with his wife while you plead with your husband to take you back to your hotel,  not wanting to endure the steely blue-stare of the devil.
Big Bay Boom
Tumblr media
Jake 'Hangman' Seresin x f!reader
Summary: It’s the Fourth of July and your family is spending it with the rest of the daggers in San Diego.
Warnings: vague mention of sex,
Part of the 'Spitfire' Universe
Can be read as a standalone but makes more sense if you've read some of the other stories.
You were learning that being stationed at the same place for an extended period of time came with a few perks. Not having to pack your things every five minutes was a big perk. Settling into your own home. Your husband’s Captain making friends with people who can arrange for your husband’s entire squad to watch the San Diego fireworks show on a ship in the harbor (and then later finding out Mav just asked Warlock and used a picture of your son looking sad and told him he would be responsible for your son’s sad face if he couldn’t make it happen. Where or when Mav got that picture is a mystery).
Getting to see the fireworks without having to fight the crowds sounded like an amazing idea. One year you decided that your family should see the fireworks in downtown San Diego and you quickly learned that had been the stupidest idea you had ever had. Jake and you taking Eli all the way into the city had been a disaster. There were too many people. Parking was a mess. You didn’t find much to eat that a toddler would even like. You were terrified you were going to lose Eli in the crowd despite your husband and you watching him like a hawk. The only person who had a good time was Eli and you had been thankful for that at least.
When Jake had come home the week prior and said the squad wanted to go to San Diego for the Fourth of July you were quick to shoot that idea down. A toddler AND a baby? No. No way. Not even with the extra adults.
Jake promised that you wouldn’t be downtown for the fireworks and that you wouldn’t even be downtown as it got dark. You begrudgingly agreed after you heard the squad decided to go downtown not for the fireworks but to take your children to the zoo. It still blew your mind that your husband’s Navy squad cared so much about your children.
When the day came around you packed up your two children along with all the stuff you needed for the day and headed off to the San Diego zoo.
Upon arriving you found the entire squad ready to help get your kids in gear for the zoo. Grandma Penny took your daughter from the car seat faster than you could even get out of your seat. She quickly covered your daughter in a layer of sunscreen before passing her off to Bob’s wife who was so excited to snuggle her. She then wrangled your son out of Bradley’s arms to do the same before passing him right back because nobody could keep those two separate for long except Bradley’s girlfriend who seemed happy to let him hold your wiggly boy.
It definitely helped your anxiety to see so many adults surround your children. Their own security team. You’re pretty sure you heard Javy growl at someone just walking by who just happened to glance in the squad’s direction. You knew in your heart that no matter what Javy would protect your babies forever.
By the time you made it into the zoo, everyone was acting like children from the excitement of the zoo. Poor Maverick had at least five adults yelling at him to get them ice cream before your son and daughter joined in which meant Grandpa Mavvie had to follow through. The day Grandpa Mavvie told your children “No” was the day hell froze over.
You couldn’t help but laugh as poor Maverick tried to wrangle his elite squad of pilots and wso’s as he attempted to get them all ice cream. Maybe one day you should record it so you can send it into “America’s Funniest Home Videos” because you’re positive you’d win.
You felt extra sorry for the poor worker who was trying their best to keep up with everyone yelling out their ice cream order before you quickly pulled out your phone and made everyone come and tell you what they wanted so you could have an accurate count for Maverick. Penny watched the entire ordeal while laughing at Mav as he tried to keep up with everyone.
Everyone finished their ice cream quickly due to the hot day and you were all off again.
Upon seeing the “Skyfari” that went high above the zoo your daughter started to demand going on the “ride” so that’s where you all went next. It ended up being her favorite part of the entire day. Jake decided it was because Ella clearly takes after him and wants to be in the air. You figured she just enjoyed the ride.
You enjoyed what happened beforehand.
Before getting in the little zoo tram car your husband easily folded Ella’s stroller. There was just something about watching a competent man easily fold a stroller and then lift it one handed that was just so attractive to you. You don’t even care that Jake gave you a funny look after he noticed you staring at him after he got the stroller ready for the ride. Maybe tonight you’d be able to celebrate with some “fireworks” of your own with your husband. Fingers crossed.
The zoo took several hours to get through and you were pretty sure you still didn’t see everything. You’re sure you’d have to come back another day to see it all and to go on Ella’s favorite part again since you knew your daughter well enough to know she would demand to go again soon.
You all decided to eat dinner at the zoo since trying to find somewhere that everyone liked that could fit such a large group would be impossible.
Penny decided that she was taking Ella home as you all walked back to your vehicles for the next part of your day after eating. She didn’t feel like staying up to watch the fireworks when she could instead go to bed early which was something that didn’t happen often being a bar owner. Plus one less child to keep track of helped your mama brain. You’re pretty sure Ella would not do well with the loud booms so you quickly agreed to Penny taking your daughter for some extra snuggle time with grandma that your daughter was not against in the slightest. You knew Penny would never play favorites with your children but being a girl mom made it much easier for her to bond with Ella than with your rough and tumble son who’s favorite thing to do at their house was to wrestle with Grandpa Mavvie. Ella was still happy to snuggle with Grandma Penny.
With one less child you moved onto the next part of your day.
Eating at the zoo gave you all just enough time to get to the base so that Jake could show Eli his plane- for the billionth time. Eli LOVED to see his daddy's plane especially since there was a picture of him in it so it was like he was flying with his daddy every time he flew. The other daggers tried to show Eli their planes too but he only sort of liked Bradley's because there was a picture of his teacher in it so it was like his teacher was flying too if Bradley and his daddy were flying together. All the other planes were less fun but he still looked at every single one so he didn't hurt his aunt's and uncle's feelings.
As Eli was occupied you took the moment with everyone else to really stress how someone needed to have a hand on your son at all times while on the ship. You were excited about seeing the fireworks in the bay but you also needed to know that your son was safe.
Maverick just rolled his eyes at you and gathered you into his arms for a hug before kissing your forehead and promising that nothing would happen to Eli and he personally would be the first one to jump off the ship to save him if the unthinkable happened, not that it would ever happen.
Maverick then nodded his head towards Bradley who had your Eli on his shoulders both wearing matching lifejackets, "Rooster didn't want Eli to feel singled out. Also I highly doubt Rooster is going to put your son down any time soon and if he does I don't think he would be on his feet long before someone else sticks him on their shoulders so he can see."
You take a deep breath and nod at his words. You know that none of the daggers would ever let anything happen to Eli, it's just hard to let go.
Once on the ship it wasn't long before everyone was laughing and dancing around to the music that the bay was playing as you all waited for the fireworks to begin. Eli loved watching the drone show that went on before the fireworks.
When the fireworks started you were amazed by how close you really were to them regardless of being a safe distance away. You felt the booms deep in your chest as they went on. From the water you could see the different barges in the ocean that were shooting fireworks off so instead of one show you got to watch multiple. Every few booms you made sure to check where your son was, finding him always on the shoulders of someone. Apparently now was Javi's turn as you see Bradley snuggled up close to his girlfriend much like you currently were with Jake. In fact you could see Bob and his wife in much the same position but when you looked closer you could see Bob's hand lightly rubbing his wife's stomach. He must not have meant to because he immediately stopped and quickly looked around to see if anyone noticed. Upon catching you looking he quickly put his pointer finger to his lips. You winked at him and made the same motion back to let him know you'd keep their secret.
"What was that?" Jake asked you, bending down to make sure you could hear him.
You shake your head, "None of your business. Super secret married people things, you wouldn't know anything about."
Jake groans, "But I am married. To you. I am married to you."
You shrug, "Doesn't mean you get to know. Sorry baby."
You smile as you look around at all the friends around you and lean back against your husband's chest as he holds you tighter. Holidays, including the fourth, are much better spent with your new found family.
Career Day Crush - Bob Floyd x Teacher!OC
Tumblr media
A/N: I was inspired to write this while prepping pictures of pilots for my class at work today and now, here we are, taking on two multipart fics at once.
pairing:  Bob Floyd x Teacher!OC (can easily swap her name for a y/n situation)
warnings/content: Bob being awkward and cute, Hangman's son being just like Hangman, Hangman as a dad, secondhand embarrassment.
word count: 1.8k
Tumblr media
“Alright, class, can we all thank Sadie’s dad for coming in to talk to us about being a firefighter? What an interesting career choice we could make!” You forced a smile as you politely clapped your hands for your guest speaker, the crowd of 7 year olds in front of you following suit, clapping and smiling as they chattered about how cool Sadie’s dad was for driving a fire truck.
You looked down at your agenda for the day and read the hastily handwritten list you’d prepared for yourself earlier that morning to see who, if anyone, would be joining your class next. You nodded your head as you read the name and smiled sweetly at little Boone in the front row of the room, laughing softly.
“Next,  we’re going to hear from Boone’s dad, Lieutenant Seresin about what it takes to be a fighter pilot for the US Navy!” You said with a somewhat forced enthusiasm to your voice, tired of trying to be the hype man for each parent as they came in to share what they did for a living to their child’s friends and classmates. You smiled warmly as Boone’s father, Jake walked in, dressed fully in his flight suit, his helmet tucked under his arm for emphasis. You noticed a second man, similar in height to Jake, follow in behind him. This man had lighter hair, worn longer than Jake’s and combed back into a military approved style, wire-framed glasses perched on the bridge of his nose, and a soft, shy smile as he waved to your class. His cobalt blue eyes were almost breathtaking as they wandered in your direction. As he met your gaze, he gave you a soft smile before folding his hands in front of him as he stood beside Jake.
“Hi guys!” Jake said with a friendly smile, waving to the group of eager faces watching him, “I’m Lieutenant Jake Seresin, and this, is Lieutenant Robert Floyd. We both fly in the US Navy, but we have two different jobs. I’m the pilot, so I actually fly the plane itself, but, my friend Lieutenant Floyd is what we call a Weapons Systems Officer, or WSO for short. He sits in the backseat of a two-seater plane and makes sure the lasers and missiles and all that fun stuff back there is working properly when we need it to.”
Lieutenant Floyd nodded his head in agreement as Jake spoke, before smiling at the children himself and beginning to talk.
“You might be wondering why we have names written on our helmets, these are called our callsigns, callsigns are how we talk to one another in the air when we need to. My callsign is Bob,” Lieutenant Floyd gestured to his helmet as he showed it to the glass, smiling proudly as the children ooh’ed and ahh’ed over it. Jake held up his own helmet as well, gesturing to the font splayed across the top.
“My callsign is Hangman, like the spelling game you guys might play in class sometimes!”, He explained enthusiastically.
You had to hand it to Jake, he had certainly captivated your students better than any other speaker of the day had. Maybe it was his charm and charisma, or the fact that his job was a little more unique than being a firefighter, or a teacher or a truck driver. You couldn’t figure out what it was, but something about him and his friend had completely gained control of your normally somewhat unruly group of children, certainly better than you could have done at this point in a Friday afternoon.
As the two men wrapped up their career day presentation for your class, fielding any and all questions your curious students had for them for the last thirty minutes, you couldn’t help but notice Lieutenant Floyd catching your eye, as if he was stealing shy glances over at you as he and Jake stood at the front of the room. When the bell rang to dismiss the children, Boone raced up to his dad and Lieutenant Floyd, giving them each a big hug.
“Dad, Uncle Bobby, that was great!” The little boy, a carbon copy of his father in terms of looks and determined, fiery attitude, said with a grin that nearly made his whole face vanish.
“Awesome, buddy, I’m glad we could come talk to you and your friends!” Jake smiled as he put his arms around the boy, ruffling his hair. Lieutenant Floyd knelt down to him and smiled giving him a hug as well.
“Any time, little guy!” he said with a smile.
You approached the two men and smiled, offering your hand out for them to shake, your way of showing thanks to them for taking time out of their Friday to come talk to your class. You smiled as Jake stood up to his feet, shaking your hand firmly as he returned the smile.
“Thank you so much for coming out today, both of you. It really means a lot to the kids. They really enjoyed it! The helmets were a good addition, they’ll be talking about those forever,” A laugh escaped your lips as you shook your head slightly, thinking about how many times you’ll hear about the fighter pilots and their helmets over the course of the next week or so.
“Anytime, Bob and I didn’t have anything going on today for training, so we were able to make the time to come visit! Plus that, I can’t miss an opportunity to be “Boone’s super cool dad” to a bunch of 7 year olds, right pal?” He let out a hearty chuckle as he ruffled Boone’s hair again.
Jake looked to Bob, who was now quietly standing behind Jake, a soft smile on his features as he waitied politely for the two of you to finish your conversation. Jake shook his head and laughed again, gesturing between you and Bob with a nod.
“Sorry, Bob, this is Boone’s teacher, he absolutely loves her to pieces, don’t ya, big guy?” Boone nodded his head, a big grin on his face as he looked between you and Bob, his tiny face seeming to take note of the way Bob was now looking at you.
“Uncle Bobby must like you too, Miss T, his cheeks got all red just now! Dad says that happens sometimes when you think a girl is pretty. D’ya think Miss T is pretty, Uncle Bobby?”
You and Bob exchanged uncomfortable laughs and awkward glances at one another before looking away. You knew Boone was just innocently speaking what he thought was true, but at that moment, you sort of wished the floorboards of the school would open up beneath your feet, the ground swallowing you whole so you could hide and shield your embarrassment. Jake looked down at his son and chuckled, breaking the awkwardly silent tension as Bob stole a glance towards the exit, looking as if he was contemplating whether or not he could just make a run for it and meet up with Jake and Boone later on.
“Bud, we can’t just say stuff like that, sometimes people don’t want other people to know if they find them pretty. Sometimes you gotta keep it a secret so they can tell that person themself, you know?”
“Oh, right, sorry Uncle Bobby, sorry Miss T,” Boone shrugged his shoulders, still not quite understanding why it had to be a secret if his uncle thought his teacher looked nice that day, but in the mind of a child, you supposed nothing about adult dating rituals made a whole ton of sense.
“C’mon bud, let’s get going, ok?” Jake put a hand on his son’s shoulder before giving you a friendly glance and departing the room, leaving Bob to his own devices. You could have sworn as you saw Jake leaving that he gave his friend a wink and a thumbs up, and if you hadn’t caught the mischievous grin on Boone’s face as father and son left together, you would have sworn that this wasn’t intentional.
A look of panic flashed across Bob’s features, shaking his head as he let out an awkward laugh, his hand resting on the back of his neck, scratching at his hairline as he shook his head, looking between the door and you.
“Sorry ‘bout Boone, he’s just like his dad, got a big mouth on that little guy, he’s lucky he’s cuter than Jake is, he can get away with it.”
“It’s ok, I’ve been told more awkward things by small children than hearing that their uncle might think I’m pretty,” You helped, trying to take away some of the tension between the two of you, “Jake didn’t properly introduce me either. My name’s Grace. Grace Taylor. Most people call me Gracie though.”
“Well, he did introduce me, but please, just call me Bob. I don’t even go by Lieutenant Floyd unless it’s a military event or something. Bob is just…more me. Nice to meet you, Gracie.”
He offered you his hand, shaking yours as they met in a handshake that was much more gentle and soft than the one exchanged between you and Jake moments earlier. Bob’s hand practically swallowed yours whole as he shook it, and you couldn’t help but wonder if part of the reason he was so gentle was that he feared he might hurt you if he shook too abruptly, like he simply wasn’t in tune with his own strength yet.
“I should probably get going, Jake’s my ride back to base, it’s a long walk if he leaves without me,” He chuckled before looking towards the door. His eyes landed back on you for a moment, and you couldn’t help but notice how deep a shade of blue they were. They were…indescribably blue. The olive green hue of his flight suit pulled out every hint of tan in his skin, making him appear even more sun-kissed than you imagined he’d look had he worn something else.
“Yeah, you probably don’t want to be left in a school on a Friday night, do you?” You smirked at him playfully as you leaned your behind against your desk as you faced him with your arms folded across your chest.
“It’s not ideal, especially with an 8am training tomorrow.”
Bob politely excused himself again and headed for the door before turning on the heel of his perfectly polished uniform shoe, a wide grin on his features as he pointed his finger in your direction.
“By the way, Boone was right. I do think you’re pretty, Gracie. I may have to come by to pick my honorary nephew up from school more often now.”
And with that, Bob was out the door, leaving you blushing like a schoolgirl with a little crush as you began cleaning up your classroom.
Jake " it seems like someone wants his mama" Jake soon handed your over lo'ak and you had taken him, now placing lo'ak in your lap looking down at him.
y/n " hey how you been behaving my baby boy or have you been causing trouble"
tsu'tey " he being like his dad"
Jake " hey let's not start the morning on bullying me" the couple laughs as they look at Jake, who was looking defended already. Soon everything had changed when kiri started reaching out to him.
y/n " it seems like you have someone who your biggest fan"
Jake " thank you baby girl for being on my side" Jake had helped up kiri making the girl laugh loudly, getting smiles from the whole family. You soon looked at your kids as they are all having a good time bring small children, and enjoy the finest this in life and laughing at things at everyone understood or only they understood. They are all your babies and will still be your babies no matter how old they get, they will forever be your babies.
