my biggest problem with dark is that the show didn’t explore the characters enough for the audience to care about them. They had a lot of characters with a lot of potential but choose to follow ONLY Jonas and then Martha. And even with those 2 we just saw different version of them (young - middle - old) but never a character arc in which one could understand their development.

none of the characters had an arc. We watch and know what a character eventually becomes but never how they evolve and actually become. I feel no empathy nor sympathy with a person that doesn’t evolve.

Nobody grows or changes or learns from their mistakes. They just ARE. And yes we can fill the gaps with hypotheses, headcanons etc but you know if the show has so many characters adding maybe an episode to watch those people evolve (or even just doing things different than asking what year it is)

I liked dark but they focused too much on Jonas and Martha relationship cutting all others characters’ stories.

I mean you don’t really care if half the population of Winden disappears if you didn’t had the chance to care about them.
