Macaque definitely seems like the type to have a thing for himbos, particularly powerful ones(Sun Wukong for Shadowpeach shippers.) Kafka fits the bill alright but is more humble in current standings. ShadowKaiju sounds like the perfect ship name too. Lol

Okay maybe that last one’s a bit specific but if you said yes to even one of these you should watch this movie

It’s a really fun watch with funny jokes and cool action with absolutely no romance. It includes fan favorites such as Nezha, Ao lie (but like, evil) and Sun Wukong as well as new characters like the best character in the movie

Haha. (Yes that is his actual name and it’s pronounced just how it sounds. His name is an unintentional joke) that brings me to the real reason I want more people to watch this film. This boy is the bestest of boys and he deserves the world. He is a dog boy, he is a comic relief who is actually funny, and his dream is to eat the moon. I’m serious he actually says that.

I can’t say much without spoilers but he deserves so much more than the film could reasonably give him and I need people to talk about this with please tell me someone else has watched this movie.

What if she hurt herself?” Zhu Bajie asks, his eyes frequently on the golden hair baby; it amazes him how one night of bender in the women’s kingdom and Pilgrim Sun feeling frisky about cutting off his head and then dunking it in the mother-child river. Strangest of all, the old severed head would crack open like an egg with a hairy baby girl inside, everyone had their jaws open until she started crying; now Xiao Sāniàowáwa was the newest addition to the party. (Everyone is still arguing on what her name will be once 100 days have passed, so far Shifu has the best name).

“Foolish Idiot, no one has been able to lift my staff since it came into my possession. The little fluff ball is no different, besides she's a baby, not like she's going to pick it up and eat it.” Pilgrim Sun with a puff up chest and a self assured smile reply.

“My dearest brothers…um..ah…Xiao Sāniàowáwa…just ate brother Sun's staff.” Sha Wujing's murmur with horror

“Are you so certain now?! She picked it up like a grain of rice and ate it, you just had to make it that size too didn't you! Shifu is going to be furious when he hears about this!” Zhu Bajie's voice booms.

“Maybe if we pat her back, she might burp it out.” Sha Wujing gently scoops the baby up, resting her stomach against his chest.

“Or! I shrink myself down to size and get it myself!” Sun Wukong said matter of factly.

“Or can someone explain to me what's going on?” The three disciples' eyes land on the owner's voice, Tang Sanzang himself standing there waiting for an answer.

Goodness, jttw will never run out of different ways the story can be expanded. I don’t know if there are any other books like this. I think something that helps is that there’s no ip law and religious people are more relaxed (I mean when Chinese take creative liberties, it gets iffy when it’s non-Chinese).

Xiyouji has been going on strong for nearly 100 years of media! It truly is a work of art that embodies the human spirit and can be adapted and relatable to any generation to any person. Not matter where you are from or how old you are there is always going to be something so human and so touching in Xiyouji that just captures people for years to come.

Here's to another 100 years of Xiyouji media!!

The closest thing I can think of to another book or franchise that is this widely known could be like Shakespeare but that sadly has been teetering in the past few years. I kinda miss the modern adaptions of Shakespearian plays. And they don't even have games so another disadvantage.

It helps that Xiyouji mostly cameos Daoist and Buddhist figures in its story, hence while it does have a lot of religious messages and is a religious pilgrimage leads to a lot of fantastical worldbuilding and a great way for both patheons to be included. The only other story I can think of that has that kind of storytelling in like Dante's Inferno which while it is well-known certainly doesn't have that much of a media presence.

Hey this is my first time asking a question so excuse me if anything wrong with this, but how do you think Sun Wukong would react to Ben Tennyson. Considering the fact that Sun Wukong is also shapeshifter do you think he would feel a connection to Ben and try an take him under his wing to train and keep him safe or something similar?

For your question, Sun Wukong would definitely be interested in Ben. Monkeys are curious creatures and he's no different. What peculiar yaoguai this young boy can turn! All of them from such a strange artifact. There so much that Grandpa Sun can learn and teach!

Ben would no doubt be confused by this sorta eccentric monkey but he figures the Monkey King means well. Also the Omnitrix will scan Sun Wukong alongside any other yaoguai so you can imagine the chaos that's gonna stir in the Heavens. The Jade Emperor is guaranteed to have a stroke.

One troublesome monkey is bad enough but two? Oh boy.
