Ya know what I don’t fully understand...?

Why we, as humans, waste so much time wanting what we’re not...young kids want to be grown ups already and try to look and act older than they are and in a rush to grow up, and older folks are wanting their youth back or to be young again or tap into the proverbial “fountain of youth”...and it’s all about anti-aging...like wtf.

I don’t see them promoting ”let’s age already and be done with this shit” products to all those kids who want to be grown ups, so why create an entire industry telling old people how they should try to obtain something they lost long ago and will never get back — their youth.

Why send the message to anyone over thirty that aging is bad and you shouldn’t do it, when everyone on planet earth knows the act of aging is inevitable and you indeed WILL do it.

So, why not send the positively reinforcing message of ”aging is amazing and should be embraced for the beautiful process it is.”

The process that shows you were a kid who accomplished the dream of growing up.

And growing up doesn’t end when your body gets big.

Growing up doesn’t even end at the point of so-called ”human death”

Older humans still living on Earth are indeed still growing up, too.

Instead of perceiving aging as this wretched process that we should do everything in our personal power to avoid, we should see it as the milestone of living a long and fulfilling human life.

Age really is more than just a number, it’s a badge of honor saying...
