Carter goes into archaeology, becomes a professor like his father. Gets well-versed in things outside of Egyptology just to expand his range. He loves dig sites. In only a few years he goes from Carter Kane, son of Julius, to Carter Kane, a scholar in his own right with a shadow to cover the world.

Walt opens up an online jewelry store. Sadie posts photos of him working. His following increases in a matter of hours. He does online tutorials and occasionally comes in a guest for sculpting classes. People speak highly of his work. Five star reviews across the board. He has a side shop special to witchcraft. Magicked trinkets to help for the little things - sleeping, anger problems, money issues, chronic pain relief. They can never last forever, but he keeps them cheap. It helps his supplier manages to dig up metals at no cost.

Jaz leaves for the first nome. She takes up stock among their healers and becomes revered among the trainees there. She's the woman who kept a cursed boy from dying, from pain and anguish every moment he was alive. She's the one who held the Pharaoh and his sister strong, who kept them breathing. She is skilled, even outside her path, and soon they all know it.

Sadie keeps training the babies. She loves them. They're basically all her children. She would never leave. She takes a few college classes here and there in her free time. She becomes Walt's self-imposed social media manager. And then Carter's. She's never wanted to be tied down to one thing before but she loves her family, so she keeps taking care of them.

Felix takes up placement at an aquarium part-time. The other workers don't know how he can vanish for months and still come back to work like nothing happened but it helps he has a fish friend on the inside. When he's not working, he's on his degree. Marine biology. Zoologist. When he's not studying, he's hard on conservation efforts. He loves his penguins the most but he needs the rest of the ocean to stay clean, populated. How else will his penguins eat the finest of fish?

Julian stays with Sadie. He expands his skills outside of his dual khopesh. He expands his knowledge of ancient military techniques. He's been a warrior since birth. Learning how to fight thrills him. He schedules a few hours at a small studio. He teaches young kids self-defense. He teaches older students how to fight in the old ways. He loves it. On the days he wants to be clouded in magic, he teaches the newbs with Sadie or visits Jaz at the First Nome and teaches them there.

So we all know how Jaz takes care of everyone when they're sick but what about Cleo and Julian taking care of her when she's sick. Like, Cleo's probably done some studies on medicinal herbs and medicine in general and Julian doesn't like it when his friends aren't feeling well. Whenever Jaz has a fever Julian lays her down on his bed and puts a cool cloth on her forehead before Cleo comes in with the medicine.
