guys the kiss was so important especially from a narrative and storytelling perspective because it was literally Crowley taking everything that's happened between them, every unsaid intention and every unspoken promise, and making it physical.

He's taking their arrangement and every other bullshit excuse they've ever used to hide how they feel about each other and throwing them out the window to put their feelings into an undeniable physical action that holds a lot of meaning to humans in order to be absolutely sure that Aziraphale knows exactly what he means when he says "we could have been Us." He wants to be absolutely sure that there are no misunderstandings between them and know that Azirphale will be committing to this decision with absolute reassurance that he's been understood and rejected anyway.

he's taking a human action with so much meaning and so much importance, and he's using it as a way to desperately make Aziraphale completely and undeniably aware of what he's stating. No more charades and no more lies or cover-ups. There's no denying this thing between them now, and Crowley did it the human way. Because he and Aziraphale love humanity and it's everything to them in their own ways.

There's a reason we saw a kiss between Crowley and Aziraphale, and not Gabriel and Beelzebub, despite them both being undeniable foils.

Forgotten Note (found in the desert inside a huge Ruin Golem)

[A page torn from someone's notebook that seems to be hastily written and forgotten.]

... I can't believe what I've just witnessed. We spent DAYS traveling out here to the desert because Zandik wanted to tinker with that huge robot for ages. Me too of course, but that's not the point. Here he was just a few moments ago, brimming with excitement at being able to pilot it. It was cute...

... And then not even a minute later, he was hunched over, clutching his stomach and mouth. I was initially concerned, but he merely waved me off and began writing at the speed of light, still holding back the urge to throw up. And that's when I realized this fool was ███-███...

... Zandik was going to give it one more go but I quickly stopped him. I wasn't about to have him getting sicker than he already was. Tried to fight me on it but he was dizzy enough to take himself out. He's currently grumbling at me in the corner, but he'll get over it...

... Silly man, he let me put his head on my lap while he rested. Good thing I packed some light snacks... but note to self: for the foreseeable future, don't let Zandik into any kind of transportation. Hopefully, he'll outgrow it one day though...

... There is an area in the desert that provides a clear and close view of the neighboring nation, Fontaine. [Name] insisted on showing me it as we happened to be close by...

... I'm not particularly interested in that land, but there are some things that may be worth looking into. [Name], however, wants to get academic leave to do some research there - more truthfully, they want to try out the macarons. How typical of them...

I suppose it's not the worst idea. They are an excellent partner, plus the extra ███ would be useful for my ███ research, and I'd make sure those people would never know...

... Day 1 of my first expedition with Zandik. Of course, every course comes with a dreaded group project but I am happy to be paired with him. Zandik, however, not so much. He's barely spoken to me the whole time. Well, he barely speaks to anyone in general, guess that's part of the reason other students refer to him as ███ ███. But I literally live with him, don't I deserve some special privilege?...

... Day 2 of my first expedition with Zandik. I looked a bit at his notes last night so I could start drafting the research report, but then he snatched them away when he noticed. He's extra grumpy at me now. I wonder what kind of things he writes about...

... Day 3 of my first expedition with Zandik. We've gotten a lot of stuff done but he seems far more interested in ███ than looking at plants. There's this one ruin in the distance he keeps eyeing. I bet if I wasn't here, he'd be there. If I present him with a ███ ███ of each type, would he finally talk to me? Hmm, that'd be hard to hide from the sages though...

... Day 4 of my first expedition with Zandik. I lied and said there was a better spot to get samples and brought him to that ruin. Long story short and after a lot of annoyed Zandik later, we made it in. When the killing machines awakened, it seemed he had a bright idea and had begun instructing me to hit them in a very precise way. Well, he certainly knows how to use someone efficiently... After all of that, all of a sudden he had found his voice and began shooting off orders to fetch this tool or that textbook and so on. Never got a thank you but he compensated with some loud, excited mumbles...

... Day 5 of my first expedition with Zandik. Thanks to Zandik actually doing his share of the work, we finished the fieldwork quickly. I showed him what I had so far and he seemed pleasantly surprised, although his expression was still flat. As we worked, he wasn't as talkative as he was yesterday, but the silence wasn't awkward like before. Well, as long as I get paired with Zandik, I think I'll survive this semester, and it'll be a bonus if he warms up to me. Speaking of warming up to me, Zandik wants to come back to the ruin we went to yesterday - with me too!!!!! It'll be our little secret that no one will find out. I think I got on his good side a bit, he looks cute when he's smiling. His teeth are even sharper up close.....

... I ███ them. Why are they here? I told them I did not need help, nor was I interested in assisting them. But they're here anyway. Of course they are. When are they not? Is there ever a moment when they're not constantly chirping in my ear? No, of course not. I'm ███ to live with them after all...

... With their ███ smell wafting through the dorm after a shower, or the scent of their cooking that they specially make ███ ███...

...Alright, that's it. Zandik is banned from writing notes now. I'm drawing the line. I bought five pens with us, and he has broken four of them so far. It's barely been a few hours! I still don't know how he does it- okay well now he's tapping me impatiently to write down his thoughts. Best get on it before he breaks this one and starts using ███ as ink...

...After a series of ███ were conducted, it has been concluded that it may be ███ for a ███ ███ to be ███-███. Wait... all the ink is on my hand now! And it smudged more!! Ugh!!!...

Paimon and the Traveler reviewed the notes they found contemplatingly - it was definitely not all of them, considering how hidden many of them were - but they found themselves oddly intrigued by the multitude of notes left by these two characters. Paimon was more interested in the love story part.

"You know, Paimon's not too sure... she's getting some mixed vibes from Zandik here... he seems kind of a big meanie to [Name] to be honest!" The Traveler watched in amusement as Paimon got grumpy on your behalf.

"... But he does seem to lighten up sometimes. Maybe he's not as bad as we think. Guess we can't piece together their relationships just from some notes, eh?"

"Well, Paimon thinks they seemed like a cute couple, well, minus for some things. Mostly, um... Zandik's oddness which you can't really excuse but I guess it's okay because they're long dead! Still, [Name] sure had strange taste in men..."

And so all through Shakespeare, you see this pattern of the Fool being the only person who's telling it like it is."

Taliesin: "Jester was a paid position specifically to have someone whose job it was to be--to say something where they were not gonna be executed."

Kether: "The other thing about The Fool, is that he is like this guileless character without, you know--he doesn't have any plan, he doesn't have any things that he's trying to do. And if you look at the Rider deck, he's just got his head in the sky, and he's about to like walk over this cliff--"

Taliesin: "He's got a familiar too, if I recall--in the Rider deck. Is there-is it a little cat, a little dog--"

Kether: "A little dog. And he's about to walk over this cliff, and and it's like...I just know, that at the bottom of the cliff, is paradise. Because he can't--he can't go wrong. He's got the fate of...he walks his own path. He doesn't know how to get off his own path. And it's really, really cool, and I get goosebumps..."

Whitney: "It's very much, 'leap and a net shall appear'...Talking about the misunderstood cards of the tarot--I think the Fool is one of them, the Devil...and Death also--

Taliesin: "Fool is a big one...And for those wondering, the reason there's not a cliff in here--is cause we don't need the cliff. We have the Nine Eyes on the tombstone--that is the jump. Molly was also The Fool in the Oracle deck we made, where he's walking over a warring army."

Kether: "And he's also dressed like The Fool."

Prompt 31 - Countdown

Remus woke early, feeling oddly warm in his usually cold bed. He felt stiff, as if he hadn’t been able to move much during the night. He looked down and saw a mass of black, curly hair draped across his chest along with the rest of Sirius. 

He couldn’t quite believe he’d let this complete stranger wriggle his way into his bed in so little time and not even for sex and, even more unbelievably, Remus didn’t care. 

He turned his head to look at the time, watching the second's countdown until his alarm went off. He still had a few minutes before he needed to start getting up. 

Remus bit his bottom lip as he tentatively moved his hand from where it was wrapped around Sirius’s waist and began tracing patterns onto his bare back. His skin was silky smooth and the image of Remus licking every inch of it shot into his mind. He felt himself grow beneath the sheets and winced when Sirius began to stir. 

“Hmmmm, someone's happy to see me,” He grinned sleepily, his hip bumping into Remus as he shuffled to see Remus’s face better. 

“I need to go to work in a bit,” Remus said, ignoring Sirius’s words. 

“Oh, okay, I’ll get up and leave you to it,” Sirius’s smile didn’t quite reach his eyes. 

“You don’t have to go right away,” Remus blurted out quickly, his arm automatically wrapping back around Sirius’s waist. “Sorry, erm, I thought I could make you breakfast.” He felt the back of his neck heat and knew his ears would be burning red. This was confirmed when Sirius’s eyes flicked to the side of his head and he bit down on his lower lip to keep his face straight. 

“I’d love that if you’re sure,” Sirius smiled sweetly at him, lying back down, nuzzling Remus’s chest until he got comfortable.

Remus was a bit stunned again. This felt so easy, so right, but he didn’t even know this man. Sooner than he thought, his alarm began blaring. “Oh my god, Remus, is that the Ducktales theme?” Sirius jumped up excitedly. 

“Yeah,” Remus admitted sheepishly. “I had a clock when I was little that sang it when the alarm went off, and it’s the only thing that wakes me up.”

“That is adorable,” Sirius leant over and pressed a quick kiss to Remus’s cheek and skipped out of sight, presumably to get dressed.

“So all I have is cereal,” He told Sirius as he got two bowls out of the cupboards and rinsed out the mugs they’d used last night and made more tea. 

“Cereal's great, I don’t usually get it at home,” Remus felt a twang inside his chest. He didn’t know a thing about this man. He’d have to rectify that once Sirius was gone. 

“Choc-y hoops, alright?” He asked as he poured a healthy portion into his own bowl. Sirius’s face lit up as he nodded enthusiastically. He looked like a little kid getting sugary cereal as a treat. Remus poured on some milk and slid the bowl across the counter to him. Sirius grabbed it and took a mouthful before going to sit down on the sofa. He let out a happy groan before shoving another spoonful into his mouth. 

Before he knew it, it was time to leave for his shift at the hotel, cleaning all the used bedding in the massive laundry room in the hotel's basement.

“It was lovely meeting you," Sirius said, his cheeks pinking as they said goodbye on the doorstep of Remus’s flat. 

“Yeah, I had a great time,” Remus confessed, and Sirius’s face broke into the most beautiful smile Remus had ever seen. 

“Would you want to maybe meet up again?” Sirius asked, suddenly looking a bit unsure of himself. Remus’s heart twanged again, and he couldn’t say no even if he wanted to, and he didn’t want to. 

“I’d really like that, Sirius,”

“Great, I’ll come round tonight. See you later, Remus,” He reached up and kissed Remus on the lips. He walked away, hopping to the side when Rufus opened the door to the kebab shop just as Sirius passed it. Remus couldn’t stop the laugh that burst from his lips. Then, it hit him that Sirius had invited himself over again. He made a mental note to get some groceries on his way home so he’d have something to feed the man. He shook his head, put his earphones in, and started his walk to the hotel, thinking about how different Sirius was to anyone else he’d ever met.

I've noticed a reoccurring theme in your comics with killer. It's always no dripping and then something triggers a response from him and it causes him to leak while not showing his eyesockets or whole face. Just a smile. It's like he's not his own creature anymore (They do say the eyes are the window to the soul) I know you depict several killers in your art but you haven't specified which ones are really which, but they all have that moment it seems. The repetition makes me think it's intentional. I'm having Thoughts about it and theories.

I got way too excited when I went op shopping in Berlin and found Hawkeye’s Hawaiian shirt.

A whole three four (4) people have said they'd like for me to talk about Nirei, so here we go!!

Starting off with how he's first introduced! He falls face first on the floor. (Which I love him for, he's the guy ever.)

He's introduced as this really goofy, dorky guy. He still has the tags on his uniform, falls again trying to get them off, and asks Sakura if his looks are caused by stress.

He then proceeds to run into the doorframe as he's leaving, and trips as soon as he's outside of Pothos.

This all paired with how he talks about Bofurin makes Sakura disregard him as someone who's all bark and no bite, as someone who'll run soon as a fight breaks out, which Kotoha then argues against with her coffee bean metaphor about not judging people so quick.

(It's honestly a little crazy how this was Sakura's first impression of Nirei, considering how close they've grown throughout the manga! )

Nirei, however, proves this wrong immediately. He saves a girl from a bunch of guys that are harassing her, and he doesn't back down. Even when running away would probably be the wisest decision with his complete lack of fighting ability or self defence skills.

He clings on to the guy, continuing to get back up despite getting thrown across the pavement multiple times. His perseverance is something that Sakura quietly acknowledges as well!

Something we also get introduced to very early are Nirei's reasons for joining Furin (and Bofurin by extension) as well as his backstory!

Nirei is someone who's been mistreated in the past. He describes being beat up and used as an errand boy, talks about how he had no choice but to obey them, until someone from Furin stepped in and saved him. This sets up his reasons for joining Furin, as he wants to help others like how that student helped him back then.

This is also where we first get to see Nirei's insecurity. Despite his determination to help others, he unfortunately lacks any fighting experience or skill. This is something that plays a role in his insecurities and his low self-esteem.

Because Nirei is insecure. Or at least not as confident in himself as he could be. When Sakura saves him from the guys, Nirei is the first one to criticize himself before Sakura can even say anything. He thanks Sakura and immediately follows it up with how much of a disappointment it must be to have someone like him in Furin.

Nirei also downplays his usefulness and skills multiple times throughout the series.

He memorizes the names and faces of the entire school in what's implied to be a single night.

"I borrowed the school list yesterday."

He doesn't downplay it too much, just a little when Suo praises him for it. He does something similar after the fight with KEEL, where he doesn't seem to think him calling for backup was anything special at all.

It's not something that shows up a lot, nor is it something big. It's just him lacking the confidence to take credit for what he's done.

I think it's worth mentioning though, as I think him memorizing the names and faces of the entire school is incredibly impressive.

As soon as Nirei gets himself together after Sakura saves him, we get introduced to his notebook! A small notebook that he collects data of "the guys he finds cool" in. He asks Sakura questions about himself, such as his height, weight, blood type and birthday. He also seems to have data on specific fights people have been in.

His notebook, as well as his lack of fighting ability, set him up as something similar to your typical mission control, or "the guy in the chair" sort of role, as well as the coward. Though he lacks the tech genius typical of the former and is more geared towards providing Sakura and the others with relevant information on the opponent.

But what makes his growth so satisfying, that sets him apart from other similar characters, is his strive to become stronger and help others.

Something I find so satisfying about Nirei's development is him being the one to drive it. He's the one to seek training, to strive to be better.

He's never told to stay behind despite someone needing to protect him, never cast out for it. The others, especially Suo, are entirely willing to take on the workload of protecting him. The only person to say anything about it is Tone Hansuke when fighting Suo.

Nirei is also willing to put himself at risk in order to help someone else out. We see this in almost all the major fights. First when we meet him, again when against KEEL, when he takes over for Suo on the bridge, as well as when he volunteers to take on Endo at the school.

(Honorable mention for him attempting to stop Shizuka from giving herself up)

This all paired with his role as Sakura's vice captain, as well as his promise to help Sakura to the top, eventually lead him to ask Suo to teach him to fight. Not because someone told him to, but because he himself wanted to.

And the training has seriously paid off! I have to bring up the bridge again, just because of how significant that fight is for him! Because not only does Nirei manage to cover for Suo while he's busy fighting with Obiki Kaito, but he also throws his first real punch!!

Sure, it's not a good punch, barely does anything. But that doesn't matter, because just the act of him throwing that punch is so significant!

And that brings us to where we are in the manga right now! He hasn't really been in a fight since Endo, and is instead helping Sugishita out!

I've officially run out of things to talk about, but I'd be happy to talk more about specific arcs or moments for him if someone wants to!! I'm desperate to talk about Wind Breaker at this point!!!
