Prowler's Scrap Yard used to be home to one of Moonwood Mill's local residents, Percy Prowler. But Mr Prowler has since passed, and with no one to take on his family business, the Scrap Yard has been left to the elements. The main building has now been condemned due to safety concerns and the yard has become overgrown, making it the perfect place for wanderers and drifters wanting to keep a low profile.

More salvaging.  I’ve been sticking with the salvaging because it actually works in this save/world.  Usually, the Sims “salvage” the item, but it never goes into the family inventory.

Why is salvaging so broken?  Once they salvage the item from the junk yard, they have to pay full price to replace it, then sell it for a loss.  I had a mod that supposedly fixed this, but it never worked in my game.

So, once I “replace” the item, I recoup the money to the household account using MC.  Then I can sell the item for less than full price and still make a profit that way.

Dingo has since gotten another dishwasher from dumpster diving.

Dumpster diving, and even rummaging in trashcans, is actually more lucrative without cheating the funds back into the household.
