something about specific parts of ben, philippe, and justin living on into new casts of the show. so like how liam’s romeo jacket has a new base but the sleeves are ben’s. or how nathan will have to wear glasses because philippe did. and also how justin’s stickers will be on the NAG mirror forever.

Something about May saying "I just have to understand that some things aren't going to happen for me" meanwhile Justin David Sullivan literally turned down Tony nominations because of the gendered categories.

Prologue
Ahhh Ahhh Life eternal (Life eternal) Youth everlasting (Youth everlasting) The unending bounty of heaven! Sounds nice, doesn’t it? Haven’t we all dreamed of living forever? But alas, according to many venerable ancient traditions, immortality is a strict members-only club. The ambrosia-guzzling gods on Mt. Olympus, the Victorious VIPS of Valhalla, the plumed pantheon of Tenochtitlan – none were…

This has nothing to do with May themself, it’s just their interpretation of the song that made me think this way, but “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman” perfectly represents being a demigirl (especially being a teenage demigirl, such as myself).
It’s the way the song repeatedly tells you that the singer isn’t a girl, but calls themself a girl anyway. It’s the lyrics, “It feels like I’m caught in the middle” of being a girl and not being a girl at all “and that’s when I realize, I’m not a girl,” and don’t you DARE call me one “not yet a woman” because I’m still becoming one, despite not being a girl. It’s the way the song sings “I’m not a girl, don’t tell me what to believe!” and the way I have to stop myself from screaming that when people misgender me 24/7.
It’s all of that and so much more. And there are things I relate to just as me, no gender required. We demigirls don’t get much/any representation in the media, so parallels and closely relatable is usually the best we can get.
So, for all of the demigirls out there, this one is for you. This is for anyone caught between womanhood and an empty void labeled ‘gender’. Go listen to “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman (I personally recommend Justin David Sullivan’s version, but I’m just a musical theatre nerd, what do I know) and feel seen. Feel heard. Feel like yourself. Because you’re not alone.
I’m not a girl, not yet a woman, either.
