Ichiro

Jiro and Saburo still ask of you. He hasn’t told them that you’re never going to go to one of Jiro’s football games again. He doesn’t have the heart to tell Saburo there’s never going to be another chess rematch between you two.

Seeing the effect your presence had on his brothers is almost too overwhelming to bear. He feels guilty not telling them of your break up, but he knows he’d feel even guiltier if they knew it was his fault they’d never see you again.

When the two call out to you in the streets, excitedly yelling your name as Ichiro internally cries in the background- you look away. Seeing the excitement in their eyes die out and hurt settle in at the realization is one of the worst things Ichiro’s ever seen.

Sasara

Rosho looks at him and guilt from years past resurfaces. Sasara’s reaction is all too similar to one of years past. Denial of pain, overcompensating with humor, and binging of harmful habits. Rosho can’t help but feel helpless. He can’t even be mad at you, after all he did the same to Sasara once before.

Rei sees Sasara and feels partial guilt for playing into his bad habits. He doesn’t know how to comfort him other than offering to pay for drinks or a meal- so they go out more than they already did.

When he’s drunk, Sasara spills it all. The hurt, the pain, the old happy memories. Rei and Rosho wonder if there’s hope for you two to rekindle your love, all so they can see their friend smile once more.

Jyushi

Hitoya is the one that immediately notices his change of behavior. No matter how much effort he puts into his Chuuni persona, the underlying message of his words is clear.

He tries his best to cheer him up, just like he did before. He tells Jyushi stories of his own romance troubles but it only seems to remind him of old memories. He takes Jyushi out to places, but again it just reminds him of things he used to do with you.

Kuko wants to confront you for breaking his friends heart- Hitoya having to physically hold him back from stomping to your house and challenging you to a rap battle. Both of them just hate seeing Jyushi this way, and want to do everything they can to help him feel just a bit better.

Bonus

Dice notices that Gentaro doesn’t tease him as much ever since you broke up with him. Maybe it’s a win that he’s not being exploited just to get some cash- but it’s odd seeing the eccentric writer solemn and distant. Ever since you left, it seemed like Gentaro forgot how to have fun with life.

Samatoki’s stubbornness is the biggest source of pain for Jyuto. Samatoki grumbles whenever he sees something that even reminds him of you- which unfortunately is a lot of things. Which were once associated with fluff and happiness- now linked with bitterness of a love lost. It makes Jyuto’s job much, much more difficult, much to his annoyance.

Ichiro makes a small comment about Jiro not staying out as late anymore. Saburo follows it up saying that he noticed Jiro stopped making such large lunches for school. It makes Jiro stop eating, pausing as he thinks of an excuse. Of course, his brothers didn’t know of his secret romance. And they didn’t know of your secret break up either.

She smiled back at him. “Such a nice boy! Thank you for helping me!”

His smile never faltered as she left the flower shop and he gave a self-satisfied sigh when she was gone. As he started to wipe down the counter, his coworker slid up next to him.

“You’re such a nice boy, Jyushi!” Kuko cooed, pinching his cheek.

Jyushi pouted. “Kuko! Stop being so mean to me!”

“Leave him alone, Kuko.” Hitoya, their manager, yelled from the back room.

Kuko rolled his eyes. “You people are no fun.” Setting himself down on the stool behind the counter, he asked, “So, do you have today’s flowers all picked out and ready?”

Jyushi felt his cheeks burn hot at the mention of the special flowers he set aside once a week for a very special customer. Almost a year ago, you started coming into the flower shop with a giant encyclopedia. After a couple of weeks of trying to talk to you but being too shy, Jyushi managed to learn that you were studying botany, specifically flowers, and were taking notes on the different flowers the store had. So he took it upon himself to help you out. Every week since then, when you came in with your notes and dazzling smile, he would hand you a flower and spew out facts about it from the research he did during the week before your visit. It soon became his favorite part of the day, not that he would ever tell you that.

Nodding, he pointed to a wrapped bundle of white flowers. “Yep. I have magnolias already prepared for today.”

“Magnolias, huh?” Jyushi nearly jumped out of his skin, seeing you at the counter, your smile almost blinding him.

He nodded again, a bit more bashful, causing Kuko to snicker before leaving the two of you alone to talk. “Yeah. Magnolias. Did you know that the flowers bloom before the leaves appear on the plant?”

Your eyes widened and you quickly jotted the fact down. “I do now! Seriously, Jyushi, what would I do without you? With your help, I’ll be able to become a professional botanist and work with flowers everyday for the rest of my life.”

“That would be wonderful.” He couldn’t help but smile. You always get so passionate and excited about your future. Your optimism always wore off on him, not that he minded in the slightest.

Taking one of the flowers from the small bouquet, you held out your hand. “May I borrow the scissors, please?”

After Jyushi handed them to you, you cut the stem shorter and tucked the flower behind your ear. Little did you know, but the cheeks of the boy in front of you exploded in pink. Did you even know how cute you look right now? You looked like some floral goddess. His heart skipped a beat.

“You look so pretty.”

Both of you were speechless, but Jyushi was panicking. He didn’t really say that out loud now, did he? Please tell him he didn’t just embarrass himself in front of you! He would never be able to live this one down! His life was effectively over.

However, you laughed. It was a pretty sound that seemed to make the sun shine brighter and the flowers around you both began to glow. “Aw, thank you! You’re pretty handsome if I do say so myself.”

Again, his cheeks darkened. “Oh, ah, thank you.”

Jyushi’s heart jumped into his throat when you gently took his hand in yours. He looked at you confused, shocked, and desperate, while you just grinned softly. It was then he thought, perhaps your heart was beating just as fast as his at this exact moment.

You had been nervous to drop Jyushi off for his first day of school. Since there was nobody else around to help you take care of him, it really had just been the two of you together. You couldn’t remember the last time the two of you were separated aside from a few hours of day care, and although it was nice to be able to schedule work again to do a full-time job, you had been worrying about leaving him at school.

Despite your fears though, it seemed to have worked out alright. Jyushi had been crying when you dropped him off, but he seemed okay now so something must have gone right.

“We did some coloring…and puzzles,” Jyushi mused, as if he were deep in thought. You nodded down at him and hummed along.

That morning, you had dressed Jyushi in his favorite blue shirt and a nice pair of jeans. Now, those clothes looked worn out, and you could tell they were a bit dirty, most likely from when the kids were running around during recess. He patted his clothes down in place and you smiled at his tendency to make sure he was still put together.

“Well that sounds like a lot of fun!” you exclaimed, stopping at the crosswalk. You looked down at your son to find him staring up at you with big blue eyes. “Did you make any new friends?” you asked, your voice softening a bit. There was something in his gaze that looked almost sad and it hurt your heart to think about him being in any amount of pain.

“No…not really,” Jyushi responded with a small sniffle. You pulled out a tissue that you had stuffed in your jacket pocked for this exact reason and squatted down so that you were just a bit taller than eye level with your son.

“It’s okay, baby. I’m sure you’ll make new friends as the year goes on, okay? This was just the first day,” you reassured him, wiping away at his eyes and nose before pressing a kiss onto his forehead. He looked like he could burst into tears at any moment, and although the crosswalk was green, you took another moment with him.

“Okay,” he sadly said, turning away from you. You held back the urge to throw your arms around him, wanting to wrap your arms around him protectively and never let go. It was so difficult to send him out into a world of hurt and pain, knowing that you could keep him with you at home and not have to worry about any of that.

But you didn’t want that for Jyushi either.

You wanted him to grow and learn, to make friends and go through the ups and downs of being a kid and eventually being a teenager. You knew that it was going to be difficult but you hadn’t exactly known just how tough it was going to be until now. So you pressed another kiss to his cheek and took a deep breath.

“Jyushi,” you said, making him turn towards you. “I promise you that by the end of the week you’ll have a new friend,” you declared. His eyes widened a bit in excitement, and you couldn’t stop the smile from growing on your lips.

“Really? I’ll have a new friend?” he asked, hopeful and with innocent, child-like wonder. You nodded to him and reassured him that he would, watching as his mouth twitched slightly. “What if no one wants to be my friend?” he asked, his eyes dropping a bit. It was amazing how expressive he could be for such a young kid.

“You will. I’ll make you a friend myself if I have to,” you said with determination. Your sewing skills were a bit lackluster, but if Jyushi hadn’t made a friend by the end of the week, you were sure you could stitch him something small and cute to be his new friend. Maybe a stuffed bear or a stuffed dog.

The first time Jyushi had asked them to change the day for their weekly practice, Kuko didn’t think anything of it. Jyushi told his teammates he had to cover the shift of an ill coworker and that explanation was enough for him.

As weeks passed and Jyushi’s requests became more frequent, doubt and curiosity began to grow in the monk’s mind. Each time he inquired to have more information, Jyushi would blurt out an excuse with an unsure voice. 

“Jyushi, have you found a…” Hitoya had asked one day after yet another request. He hesitated for a second, not sure of which word to use. “...partner or something like that?”

“Eh? N-no! It’s not that!” Jyushi protested, blushing a little.

“You know there are two things that I can’t stand. First: people who lie to me. Second: people who lie without being convincing.” He glared at him while putting on his leather jacket.. “We are family, right? You should be honest and tell us the truth.”

The young man looked at him with his eyes wide open before dropping his head. “Well… I’ve been taking ballroom dance lessons…”

It was Kuko’s turn to be surprised. Hitoya spoke before he could make any comment about that.

“Oh, really? That’s cool, Jyushi.” The lawyer seemed sincere. As he searched for his cigarettes, he showed him a small smile. “I attended a dance class for a few months as well when I was in middle school.”

Kuko almost giggled. “Wait, what?”

“A small family-run dance studio had opened right behind my school and all the mums thought that their kid could be the next dance star. I remember I went there with at least five of my classmates.” Hitoya grimaced at the thought. “The truth was that only one of us had some kind of talent.”

From his face, the monk understood instantly who the person in question was.

“But, Jyushi, ballroom dancing can be quite… competitive as a sport. Are you sure it’d be okay for you?” Hitoya asked then.

Jyushi nodded a little. “I’m not focusing on competitions yet. I’m attending the lessons to improve my stamina and…” He straightened his back a little. “...posture.”

“Good choice then, kid.” The lawyer ruffled his hair before saying goodbye to the both of them and leaving the temple.

Left to themselves, Kuko and Jyushi finished cleaning and fixing the room they had used to practice in silence. The monk couldn’t stop thinking about Jyushi dancing around a big salon, with rich clothes one and classic music in the background. He knew he loved to dance thanks to their silly moves during Bad Ass Temple performances, so he was sure Jyushi would at least be decent at that. But he needed to see that with his own eyes.

“Jyushi.”

“Yes, Kuko-san?” He titled his head.

“As your guide, I want to be sure these dancing classes are actually useful for your growth.” He declared, crossing his arms. “I will come with you to your next lesson.”

“To… dance?”

“No, dummy. To observe.”

Jyushi looked at him, surprised, but then smiled. “Ok, I have to ask for my teacher’s permission though…”

The teacher had enthusiastically replied that having a viewer wouldn’t be a problem so, after an entire week, Kuko found himself sitting on a plastic chair in a small practice room. The long wall covered with mirrors helped the monk observe Jyushi and the other students doing their warm up and stretching exercises. They were all wearing the same black pants with tight t-shirts, but he couldn’t help but focus on Jyushi. His long hair had been braided and then pinned at the neck in a chignon, keeping them out of his face. Seeing both of his blue eyes was kind of… captivating in a sort of way.

“Okay. We can start.” The teacher, a middle aged woman with kind eyes, proclaimed after some minutes. “Get closer to your partner. Today we’ll practice the Waltz again.”

Jyushi’s partner was a young girl who looked a few years older than him. She was probably the only one tall enough to dance with him. When the two held each other, Kuko had expected Jyushi to blush, but a focused expression appeared on his face instead.

Then the music started and the four couples present started to move, but Kuko couldn’t care less about the rest of the students. No, his eyes were glued to Jyushi and his partner.

There was not a single sign of hesitation, fear or self-doubt in Jyushi movements. He carried the girl with security and care, as if he was the king of that small ballroom. They spun and swayed in perfect coordination without losing their hold or posture.

“So, what do you think?” The teacher asked him suddenly. She had moved next to him while he was busy ogling his teammate. “Can this be useful to our Jyushi-kun?”

Kuko nodded slowly. “It’s rare to see him so focused and serious.” Out of his chuunibyou’s moments, at least.

“Well, Jyushi-kun is always like that, but today his eyes carry something different” She smiled, knowingly. “Perhaps your presence had awakened a new fire in him.”

“A fire..?”

Kuko’s amber eyes moved from the woman to Jyushi once again. The couple had stopped in a slow elegant dip with the girl bent backwards a little and, in that moment, Kuko understood what the teacher was talking about. Jyushi and Kuko made eye contact thanks to the mirror since the vocalist wasn’t looking at his partner at all.

Fiery blue eyes challenged Kuko to focus his attention only on him and the monk wasn’t the backing down type. Not that he had other choices anyway. Jyushi was so majestic when dancing that it was impossible for him to look away.

Osomatsu-san High School Timeline (Classes and Years)

So I was rewatching the Osomatsu-san Movie and I noticed a few things while crying to the credits!!

1st Year - 10th Grade

The Matsunos are all in one class, they get into their antics and daily lives together as six! They introduce themselves and they’re all p much the same person just like in osomatsu-kun where each sextuplet could be exchanged for each other.

Same Classmates, same exams, same sports class, same lunches! At first everyone found it endearing.

But then they slowly started finding it weird, this is when the matsunos realize that they should start differing themselves from each other.

And then they start distancing themselves from their classmates, feeling ostracized.

2nd Year - 11th Grade

It’s a new school year and the Matsunos are split into two different classes, (i’m gonna call them Oso’s class and Choro’s class). They start dressing differently and acting very different from each other, and Jyushi has awakened to his jyushi personality!

Season 1 Episode 17 says he has his jyushimatsu debut during his high school debut in the 10th grade, but this got retconned for the movie, where he gets his personality in the 11th grade.

The blu-ray release also has this exclusive photo of Jyushimatsu wearing his Gakuran to school. Just like his jyushimatsu debut, this got retconned from 10th grade to 11th grade. (iirc this was added post-cinema to a) add a funny memory b) explain the discrepancy between the movie and the yearbook)

Even if they have deviated from each other a bit, they’re still on good terms with each other, they go to school together, hang out when class isn’t in session and go home together.

Choro, Jyushi, Todo and Takahashi-san are all in the same class lmao, Choro allows jyushi to copy his homework and totty and choro play around while class is in session, at some point, hatabou and chibita barge into their class lmao.

Sports Festival

and during the sports festival, Oso’s class goes up against Choro’s class in the cavalry battle, (and yes they are all very good friends)

(oh btw, Atsushi and Uchikawa are in a different class from Choro’s class, and this is probably when Totoko and Takahashi became friends)

Cultural Festival

Oso, Jyushi and Todo must be either in the same club cause they’re all in the maid cafe exhibit or Oso is filling in for Choro in their class exhibit (could also be Jyushi filling in for Ichi and Todo filling in for Kara).

Kara is in the drama club as a Tree and the others + Takahashi watch him

Also unless the Matsunos are 27 years old (they were 17 years old during 2nd year + 10 years = 27) , then this moment from Season 1 Episode 3 with Jiguzo probably got retconned (most likely considering that Karamatsu isn’t even the leading role in the play, and it’s unlikely he became the leading role in 3rd year cause his confidence plummeted by then)

There are some events I didn’t cover (Like the snowball fight, trip to kyoto, cooking class, library visit, Karaoke, sports class) (most of these come from the Anan Magazine, Bonus art cards that came with the Blu-ray version and some parts i was too lazy to resize from the credits)

3rd Year - 12th Grade (Graduating Class)

I go into miniscule detail about the events of the day before graduation and the Letter and Graduation day and the incident. I’ve put it under a readmore cause it’s just too long.

But for the Year and Class they are

Oso, Ichi and Takahashi-san

Kara and Jyushi

Todo and Choro

Evidence is also under the readmore.

They eventually start drifting even more to the point where they don’t even eat dinner together. The only one’s still willing to talk to the others are Todo and Kara

Oso, Ichi and Takahashi are classmates, it is unknown if Totoko is their classmate since even though she’s standing behind them during graduation, she talks about them in a distant way.

Kara and Jyushi are classmates

Meanwhile Choro and Todo are classmates, they’re the closest out of all the sextuplets

(todo would hide behind choro and this trait would follow them to adulthood, in Season 1 Episode 3, Todo clings on to Choro while they head to the restroom)

Near the end of the school year, with them still being distant from each other, Takahashi writes a letter filled with her feelings about the matsunos, unable to hand it to them personally she leaves it at the matsuno residence the day before graduation

The Day Before Graduation

Karamatsu finds the letter after class with an ambiguous address, around the same time, the adult matsunos get transported to the memory world and the Hatabou Incident happens (Elephant chases after him, causes a pile-up accident, takes a plane down and ends up at the hospital)

Looking for his brothers to discuss the letter he heads up into their room and almost runs into the adult matsunos.

Around the same time the adult matsunos are making their way throughout the city, observing the younger matsus (Choro and Todo had just left school, ichi was out with friends, jyushi was hanging at the strip mall and oso was being a little shit trying to find someone to spend time with, that’s why they weren’t at home). Karamatsu has left home to look for his brothers / think about the letter

Ok sO I KNOW THIS POST IS GETTING REALLY LONG!! but!! here’s the very very very miniscule details of the timeline, Choromatsu and Todomatsu head home first, Todo heads to the living room to watch TV while choro heads upstairs to “Study”. Oso, after getting beat up by the girl heads home, as he is heading upstairs Jyushi arrives home as well, the two ignore each other. Jyushi heads to the living room, while Totty tries to strike conversation, Jyushi ignores him. Oso heads upstairs to read manga and Oso and Choro ignore each other. Ichi, after leaving Yanagida and his buddies, rests at the park (this is where he went to while Yanagida karaoked with adult totty and ichi). Kara finally heads home and heads to the roof, thinking about the letter, he sees Ichi head home as well.

The Next Day: Graduation

Kara tells Oso to gather everyone on the roof

Miniscule detail time! again! Todo and Choro arrive there first, then Oso then Jyushi then Ichi and finally Karamatsu. Takahashi, not seeing the matsunos at all, head home. Totoko sees Choro and Todo and goes looking for them asking Chibita and Hatabou about where they are.

Now, depending on whether or not the timeline got rewritten, the matsunos fight and go home crying

MINISCULE DETAIL TIME: Choro is the one twiddling his fingers and tapping his foot impatiently. As Karamatsu struggles to talk about the letter and suddenly Ichimatsu snaps and shouts at choromatsu, as they’re arguing, Oso tries to calm down ichi, but Ichi snaps at him too.

Jyushimatsu joins in and starts arguing against Choro as totty watches helplessly. Oso and Ichi start going on a full blown argument

With the way Oso’s eyes are twitching, he seems to be expressing his annoyance and ichi has tossed his facade out the window. the convo prolly went something like 

“you talk a lot of shit for someone who fakes his personality to make friends”

“that’s rich, coming from someone who’s just utter full blown garbage”

Totty tries to stop the fight, and Kara fed up screams

“YA-”

“-ME-”

“-RO!”, telling them to stop.

As he’s trying to break choro and jyushi’s fight, totty, who was rushing forward to stop the fight as well gets knocked down on the ground due to his smaller stature.

Choro goes to help totty up, since everyone is worried about totty, jyushi, ichi and oso gang up on kara, In the cat’s eye’s reflection, Jyushimatsu punches karamatsu, Karamatsu in turn headbutts ichimatsu.

Oso beefs with Kara, Choro helps totty up and Ichi has Jyushi in an arm lock

The fight from the memory world differ from the flashback of the real event

Ichimatsu is the first one to shout, but instead of arguing he straight up punches choromatsu

Osomatsu is again, the first one to try and stop them from fighting, you can see in the photo that jyushi and todo are on the very right (red slippers and smaller frame). Choro fights back and it becomes a mess and who’s who starts to get jumbled. The letter is lost by the end of the fight and they head home, kara in tears cause of the regret

(btw the reason why ichi has the strongest disgust is because he knows he’s the one to start it lmao)

But if the timeline got rewritten then:

the Matsunos don’t fight at the roof top. (note that they don’t have injuries) Karamatsu was able to tell them about the letter, they reconcile and take a picture with takahashi-san, two copies are made, Takahashi has hers framed at her bedside table and the matsunos keep theirs at their yearbook.

There is speculation on whether the photo was taken at her house like in the memory world or at the rooftop since her memory self visits the rooftop as her last location.

- Dice wanders into ‘Bukuro accidentally (He was on a gamble spree at night, went drunk, took the wrong trains, ain’t got shit for money to get back to Shibuya), he tried calling Ramu and Gents but they decided to “After a lot of very very very important talking with Gentaro! Your gamble punishment is to spend a day with no money in ’Bukuro! Okay have fun byeee~”

- So yeah our piece of shit was basically cockblocked for a while

- After a few hours of groaning on the streets, he walks into one of these do it yourself lunch stops

- I’m not exactly sure what they’re called but they’re like a simple restaurant where you get whatever food and drink combo you want from the stalls then pay later

- Anyway this man found a wallet in the park and took literally a few bills, not enough to hurt anyone and not enough for him to thrive (stealing is fucking bad don’t ever take this advice EVER)

- He was so hungry he instantly hit the first place with food which of course happened to be the restaurant thing I talked about

- Dice goes in and realizes he can get a small meal and drink, the meals have a line by them and he WONT wait his stomach is eating itself goddamnit

- So he jumps to the what looks like it’s semi empty drinks stop

- But apparently it’s out of order for shortage of cups as the staff get them from the storage, there were even two particular ravenette and red-head standing by and waiting

- But, Dice gave zero shits

- overall i realized "yeah most of these seiyuus fit their chara so well" i look at basically all of them and go "yeah mhm thats them" with the exception of kimusuba because he sucks and ichiro deserves better

- i felt kinda underwhelmed by showdown at first but its growing on me i think its a nice song and it does feel very fitting for the finals of the 2nd battle ALSO i lost my shit when ramuda used gentaro and dices names in his part

- i am pure shit at reading japanese so i have to rely on pasting it into google translate in order to read kanji a lot but i am willing to tough it out and translate showdown from the images people have of the lyrics online because theres a lot going on here that i want to fully process

as Juto’s younger sister, there’s a bit of an age gap between the two of you (5-7 years) but that doesn’t stop Juto from still being in your life

he was definitely a mischievous older brother when the two of you were younger and he always used to play pranks on you

whenever you would cry and run to your parents he would get scolded but it never really stopped him from poking fun

things were never malicious though, just small things that brothers do to annoy their little sisters 

because of the age gap, Juto started to get a bit distant from you when he entered high school, not wanting to hang around his young baby sister

this made you sad of course, but you were in totally different schools and the two of you just sort of did your own thing

even at home, you would barely see each other since Juto would always come back late from studying/partying and you were up early for school that started before his

so you don’t really go to him for advice or comfort because he’s already out of the house once you enter high school

after you finished high school though, the two of you suddenly became close again

with an increase in maturity, you were both able to connect about real world, adult problems and because you didn’t have any other siblings, you used each other to reminisce about the old days

whenever you go home for the holidays, the two of you are always laughing and joking with each other

and Juto’s always giving you amazing presents for your birthday and Christmas 

even if you don’t agree with each other, you always back each other up to your parents or to anyone else who hates on either of you

you always make sure to keep in touch and even though the texting chain can go silent for a week or two, it always picks back up

because you both love each other and really do want to be a part of the others’ lives

you hype him up for the police academy and although he was hesitant to tell you about the hypnosis mic stuff, you actively root for MTC

you always meet up for wine nights once a month and that’s when you both drink and spill all the family gossip or happenings

while the two of you are never extremely close or best friends, you always make it known that you’re there for each other 

overall it’s a very constant, reliable sibling relationship that you’re both grateful to have

Jyushi Aimono

you and Jyushi are extremely close as you’re only two years younger than him and everyone mistakes you for twins

although you’re the younger one, you’re always looking out for Jyushi and standing up for him when he needs you

growing up, you were always careful to make sure he had Amanda and that he was feeling okay in any crowds you were in

the first two years of high school was hard for him because you weren’t there, but as soon as you come in, he feels like he can be himself again and stand up for himself

of course, you have a reputation and everyone knows as soon as you get into high school that if they bully Jyushi they’re going to have to deal with you

at home, it’s the same way, whenever your parents are out or too busy to take care of you or Jyushi, you step up to the task and make dinner or comfort him 

on the other hand, whenever you’re having a bad day or if you’re feeling overwhelmed, it kind of forced Jyushi to step up a little too

he wants you to know that you can rely on him too so he’ll force himself out of his box and comfort you and give you a shoulder to cry on

the two of you were definitely inseparable when you were younger

always singing songs together in the basement on the old karaoke machine, pretending you were rock stars

the fact that Jyushi was able to have a safe space around you was a main reason he was able to create his stage persona

he was able to be comfortable with you and you helped to give him the confidence he needed to really come out of his shell, even if it was just for a crowd of stuffed animals in your basement

even as the two of you get older, you continue to support Jyushi, always going to his concerts and to his hypmic battles

you’re proud that he’s come so far and likewise, as Jyushi gains more confidence, he starts to be able to look after you more

you’re constantly texting each other and Jyushi’s always encouraging you in school and to do what you’re passionate about 

overall it’s a very close relationship that starts out as fairly codependent but changes into support that both of you offer to each other as you grow older and become adults

Flufftober 2022 - 18.10

This is stupid and silly, but I tried to write something different from what I usually publish. It's a Soulmate AU where a sketched colorless tattoo appears on a person’s skin when their soulmate is born. If two soulmates are able to find each other, their tattoos will get bigger and colorful.

“Don’t worry, Jyushi! This method is infallible!” His bandmate Kasei tried to cheer him up as the small group of people climbed the stairs that lead to the temple.

How was it possible that he had to try something like that to find his soulmate? It was just not fair.

He sighed and eyed the small dragon tattoo adorning his forearm. The rough drawing had accompanied him since his birth, reminding him everyday that someone out there was waiting for him. In the past twenty year though, he had seen friends, relatives and even enemies’ tattoos change from sketches to colorful masterpieces as they met their missing halves. 

But what about him? Didn’t he deserve to have a happy romantic life? Why couldn’t he have his occasion to be all cuddly with somebody else? 

He wondered if his soulmate shared the same concerns, if they were searching for Jyushi with the same craving… What if they were on another continent? What if they just gave up and found somebody else just so they wouldn't feel lonely? The thought terrorized him.

Worried for him, his coworkers and bandmates have discussed a lot about what they could do to help and, a few days earlier, one of them brought up a legend about the main Nagoya shrine. There was a hidden Buddha statue near a small pond and rumors said that if one prayed there for their soulmate to reach them, the love of their life would appear before the end of the year.

Jyushi was desperate. It was worth a try.

His family had often visited the small temple near their neighborhood, so it was the first time Jyushi had the opportunity to see the main shrine in all its splendor. It was a great building surrounded by a little wood. He followed his friends until they reached the pond they had mentioned earlier. He positioned himself in front of the Buddha statue and closed his eyes as they instructed him.

“Now, you have to think about your tattoo, envision that dragon in your mind…” Momoko, one of his coworkers, explained.

He did that and started to imagine all the things he wanted to do for his soulmate. They would become his muse for sure and they would spend hours singing and playing guitar together…

“Jyushi-kun!!! Open your eyes!!!” Excited voices forced him to interrupt his visions and prayer.

“Your arm, look!” 

His blue eyes moved from his friends to his tattoo. The small dragon was getting bigger and more colorful as seconds passed. Green and gold scales appeared and even its eyes started to show a pigmented reddish shade. Before Jyushi could say anything, a loud voice dominated his friends’ cheers.

“Aren’t you all a little too old to be so noisy?!” A short figure approached them. “If you have forgotten, you are still in a temple!”

Judging from his dark clothes, the young man was a monk… but he didn’t look like the ones Jyushi was used to seeing around the city. Fiery red hair. Multiple piercings. Many studded accessories. Cool, but definitely not a standard monk.

“Well?? Aren’t you going to apologize?”

His friends started to bow in respect, but Jyushi’s eyes moved on the monk’s exposed arms. They were toned, clearly a product of constant training, but there was something else that caught the singer’s attention. Just above one of those studded bracelets, he saw a tiny tattoo. It represented a cute fluffy bunny and, the more he looked at it, more details and colors appeared. Even from that distance, he could see that the rabbit had his same eye color.

No way…

He almost pushed his friends out of the way and stopped right in front of the monk.

“What do you want, uh?” He asked with an irritated tone.

Jyushi took one last glance at the dragon and the rabbit. They were so bright and big now. He could feel tears forming in his eyes. “I… I have finally found you…”

“What the hell are you talking about?”

“Oh, my… Jyushi-kun! You mean he’s the one?!” One of his bandmates exclaimed.

“Look at his tattoo! He has to be!” Kasei cheered.

The monk looked at them and then lowered his gaze. His golden eyes widened at the sight of the once colorless bunny. 

Still sobbing, Jyushi tried his best to find a cool pose to impress his soulmate. He coughed a little before speaking aloud. “Ah, the prophecy has been fulfilled! My endless prayers have finally been heard! Now, my love, let’s…”

“Ehr, Jyushi. Your love has run away.”

“What…?” The monk wasn’t there anymore. He took the chance to disappear while Jyushi was preparing for his speech. 

“He didn’t look that enthusiastic…” Momoko murmured.

“Maybe he got scared…?”

“He looked kind of scary himself…”

As his friends chatted, guilt started to fill Jyushi’s heart. Had he been too straightforward? If so, he absolutely had to apologize!

After explaining what he wanted to do, Jyushi left the group and began to search for the nameless monk in the big garden of the temple. He was a bit afraid of getting lost, if he had to be honest. Half an hour passed and the young singer thought that maybe he had to come back another day, when he heard the well-known sound of cats meowing. 

Three cats were resting around a short maple tree with the red haired monk. He was still eyeing his own tattoo, touching the small bunny in a caring way, and it looked like he was blushing. He was so focused that he didn’t notice Jyushi at all.

“Uh, hi..?” Jyushi tried as he got closer to the tree. “I… I came here to say I’m sorry about my behaviour. I just got… a little too excited…”

The monk glared at him. “You believe in this kind of bullshit?” He said after a long minute.

“You… you don’t?”

“Tzk, why should I…” The monk tried to hide his face a little and Jyushi tilted his head.

“Are you perhaps… embarrassed?”

“Don’t talk rubbish!” He protested. “I have never considered the possibility of… this happening. I am taken aback, that’s all.”

Never considered the possibility? How was that possible? “I have thought and dreamed about this day since I was a child…” Jyushi sighed, trying not to cry again. 

“This is ridiculous.” The monk grunted and got up from the ground. “You can’t love a person you know nothing about.”

“W-Well, we can change that, right?” Jyushi coughed as he straightened his back. “I’m Aimono Jyushi. I work in a conbini at the moment, but my dream is to break through with my band, ArgoξOrchestra.”

The monk just looked at him, unimpressed. “You’re too flashy.”

“Uh…”

“And too noisy.”

“Ah…”

“And you cry too easily.”

“M-Maybe you’re right…”

After taking a deep breath, he spoke once again. “Aimono.”

“You can call me Jyushi!”

“...Jyushi. You need to stop thinking about love and soulmates and become a stronger person first. I want to offer you my help. As a monk, my father would say this is my resp-”

While the other man kept talking about training and meditation, Jyushi’s brain registered only one specific piece of information. “Do… do you want to spend some time with me? To know me better?”

“Eh? That’s not what I meant!” The monk looked at him with a shocked face.

The vocalist grabbed his hands and smiled. “I will come here everyday if that’s what you want… uh… ”

“Kuko.” He finished his sentence without much enthusiasm.

“Kuko-san…” He whispered in a dreamy voice. “Just tell me the time and I’ll be here!”

“I usually start my training at dawn, but…”

“Ah! The first rays of the Sun will witness the start of our intertwined destinies!”

“For fuck’s sake…” Kuko touched his own temples, but there was a small smile on his face.

A classical melody interrupted Jyushi’s monologue and he started to search for his phone. “My friends are calling.” He stated, clearly disappointed.

“You should go, then.”

“You’re right, Kuko-san! But worry not: tomorrow we’ll see each other again!” He looked him in the eyes. “I’m so happy I have finally found you.”

With that, the singer ran away leaving the still embarrassed monk behind. His happy giggles could be heard in the entire garden of the temple.

he’s so two faced it’s hilarious. he presents himself as all prim and proper and you know he wants to be seen that way! but he’s a hot tempered diva of a bastard through and through like he wouldn’t get into as many fights with samatoki as he does if his temper wasn’t on par with his lol.

nothing really! however!!! i would like to know!!! why did he name himself 45rabbit when he gets annoyed when people call him bunny cop!!!! it’s your brand juto you literally call yourself a lonely only rabbit in your first solo what is your problem lmao

What i want to see from this character:

set aside your fear juto. you are stronger than that. remember what it felt like before, when your curiousity was strong and your heart still open. try rio’s cooking again ❤️

okay so my all time favorite juto moment is his entire part in the drama tracks, somebody gotta do it and don’t play no game that i can’t win, from the first full album. we learn about juto’s prerogative in life in the first track and it was the first heavy emotional content threw at us. and then we see how his past has affected him in the second one. boy is utterly unhinged when it comes to drugs man. his completely feral laugh when he was fighting gentaro in that track haunts me to this day!!!! juto is not okay!!!! there is a lot of anger in that man!!!!!!

and because i am apparently incapable of shutting up about the stage plays, please understand stage juto’s actor has a very sweet voice and he is unfairly attractive and this may be clouding my perception of his scenes but there’s this part where rio called samatoki and juto over to his camp but he didn’t provide a reason why. so of course, samatoki thinks it’s because rio wants to feed them something so he immediately tries to leave but juto stops him from doing so. so.

samatoki uses flattery!!! samatoki compliments juto’s appearance!!!!

lol idk if you could tell, but i have a thing, juuuust a tiny little thing for samajuto (2 of 3 fav moments were samajuto) they’re the epitome of the old married couple trope. like that time in hypquest event in arb!!!! when they got into a spat, instead of fighting with their mics like they usually do, they challenged each other to the game in an unnecessarily outlandish game of cops and robbers and dragged poor rio into their shenanigans. they are both actually 4 years old 😂

mtc poly is fantastic and i think juto/doppo is really cute!!! i really wanna see how juto, hitoya and hifumi would act in the same room tho. three high maintenance men in a room!!! whatever shall they do?????
