Since I'm at work and can't draw anything I'm making a headcanon post to just spew shit about my gk ocs LOL

Kume Hijikata and Arata Hijikata are born 1885 in Kyoto. Their father the son of Toshizo with Okoto. (Historically they were arranged to be married, but Hijikata had already resigned himself to the Roshigumi, therefore making his son a bastard out of wedlock. In this lore it's implied Okoto and Hijikata loved each other, and had made love at least once.)

They are raised in Kyoto, only moving to Tokyo after Kume's acceptance to the peeress school. Kume and Arata live with a family friend, Mokutaro Kikuta. Arata joins the Military. Kume meets and befriends Kaeko.

Arata and Kume meet Sugimoto, Kikuta has them prepare Sugimoto for the wedding interview. After the plan goes awry, they go their separate ways. Kume has multiple wedding interviews that are ultimately fruitless due to her boyish appearance and as Tsurumi would note "her violent eyes would turn the fiercest away" Kume drops from the Peeress School in 1904 suddenly.

Arata serves in the 7th division during the war in 1904, but is killed in action shortly after enlistment. Prior to his death he reunited with Sugimoto, and lamented about a "golden curse" on his family.

It is unknown how Arata discovered the search for gold, but in his writings, he claims to have discovered the startings of a plot but had no evidence to present to the central government. Not realizing Tsurumi was the spearhead of this search, Arata confided in him with his findings.

Older Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles doodles I forgot to upload! First one is just Rin being.... uh, magical, I guess? Second one is my friends character in all of her cute swan-like glory, Nynaeve. She carries a bird in her exposed caging, which is hella cool imho. Then another friends character, Maiz, who is absolutely charge-in happy go lucky kid and I love him and will protect him. The two other friends characters, Irving and Onion! Last, is my design for my Lilty, which is just a more cocky version of Rin!Yordle. She’s a spikey friend. Enjoy!

"Welll, there have been some that included an electric chair, but for the most part, the killer's execution style tend to be themed around their talents. And yep, that's right: pretty crazy, huh? That's why everyone is always hellbent on exposing the true killer!! And yeah, that's right: you practically turn into a completely different person once you enter the game. It's basically like becoming your OC! That's why everyone busts their butt to make the cut..." And why none seemed to mind that they were basically erasing their identities in the long run... Seiichi included, if he ever gets onto the show. Aside from Kaeko, his uncle and aunt; nothing else was exactly great about his life, anyway...

Then realizing he technically just spoiled something for her, he gasps in disbelief, letting out a small meep at the forehead flick. "Heek! O-Oh crap, sorry!! Ah, um, f-forget you heard that just now!! Forget forget beaaammm!!!"

Mimicking a certain morals committee student from the show who did that same 'forget beam!' chant. "D-Don't worry, I'm sure you'll still love her just as much, eh heh heh....and because she is!" Then he turns his face for a second, muttering under his breath: "....not as much of a goddess as you are, though...." Then turns to face her, again, blushing for some reason. He was too shy to outright say that to her....

"A-Anyway!! That is true.... it's a very risky role to play with that in mind....but hey, it's the gamble they take, I suppose! Or maybe they just choose the role for the love of the game and don't care about winning of even surviving.... Hmm, that, I'm not sure... I imagine you've got to be a pretty special exception if you're trying to be a mastermind of all things.... Ah, I wouldn't be surprised! I mean after all, even if, I assume, Team DR gives them files or whatever detailing the people they used to be before the game.... they're not that person, anymore... It'd probably a really bad eye opener for them, even with all that money and fame...."

Like a lifelong effect of trauma, confusion, and an identity crisis.... But everyone is different; maybe for some they could try juggling two completely different lives with much trouble. Would his "other" self be able to do that, he wonders....? Well, not that he'd plan to survive, anyway...

When she agrees to give it a try, he beams! "Y-You'll watch it with me? Really?!" He cups her hands in both of his own. "Y-Yay!! I'm so happy....! I promise I won't make it boring for you, Kaeko.... n-nor spoil anything else!! And, hmmm... I think I could see you.... liking the protagonist and the pop idol characters! The latter because you really like music, right? Plus she's pretty bubbly and sweet! I don't know, seems like the type of character I could see you liking....and as for the protag... he's very optimistic, but pretty unlucky and finds himself pretty plain and otherwise no notable traits that makes him special...." In a way, he kind of reminded Seiichi of himself in some ways....

"...But he's really kind and can befriend even the most closed off people. I feel like....something about him would make you grow on him, Kaeko. I know they might sound like characters that are completely different from you, buuut that's exactly why~!" He chuckles; really, he meant it. To him, he felt that her growing on the type of characters that were opposite of her, made sense....like how he grew on her, despite it seeming like he'd never be the type of person she'd seemingly grow to care for....

Watching Seiichi switch up, he was like a whole new person when it came to talking about Danganronpa which seemed to be his absolute most favorite thing of all time! As she had heard of the series here and there from the other students during classes, she never really bothered to look deep into it. Especially considering the name just sounded so damn weird to bother. Seiichi did make a point of children to potentially come across anything if they were or weren't supervised, as if it would happen to almost any kind of child anyway. Yet it just felt a little off about it, even if it's just all fictional and an anime in itself. There was no need to go deep into it when she didn't care to know about it in the first place, right?

It looked like he could practically explode while he was bouncing from his seat, it was almost pretty cute to see him reach further his nerdiness. But God does it really add more fuel to the fire of her need for picking on him even more for this. At least…not right now though, she kind of wants to savior this side of him a little more first. If this anime is that addicting for him to share, then it could be that good of a story, right?

Finally he started sharing about the plot of Danganronpa, and boy he wasn't wrong about it practically being fucked up! It really was nothing but a murder mystery to kill off others for a game and escape. Even as much to put on a whole class trial to find the culprit be it leading for the killer to escape or have an execution. "An execution? H-how bad can they be, they'd do like an electric chair or somethin'? What the…and if they're wrong they can all die? This is more insane than I thought…" Kaede muttered, biting the nail of her thumb as he continued on. "And their memories are wiped to play the part of the roles…

At the mention of his favorite character, it was like Seiichi had gone deeper into his infatuation describing her as the ultimate detective with no memory of it at the start. She snickered, leaning over and flicking his forehead. "You know you just spoiled that for me, dummy. To think I could have fangirled with you about her too if I'd seen her." she teased. But to see him that excited over a girl character instead of a boy was a little unexpected too--as often as she'd seen boys have their heroes, Kyoko must be a unique one for Seiichi. "Still, from the way you describe her, she sounds like a freakin' goddess." In continuation to the mastermind of the game, she then hummed in thought about it. "As interesting as it would be to be one, would the person chosen to that role would miss out on the prize anyway if they always fail? Or do they just choose the role separately from those who audition? And for those who survive...you don't think they're still around and probably messed up in the head after all that?"

Maybe she was asking too deep into this, it's all fake after all, nothing real to come out of it in the first place. And those who audition are ones who chose to be a part of it, that's all there is to it. She came back to Earth from her thoughts once Seiichi offered to introduce her to the show by sharing a watch of the first episode together. She would have instantly rejected the idea and be grossed out by his offer if she were among her 'friends'. Although, that curiosity she just couldn't shake out of at all stayed the strongest. She rolled her eyes and let out a heavy sigh, mindlessly playing a strand of blonde hair.

"Uggh...y'know what? I guess I'll bite and give it a try. But you better not get me bored watching this with you or you'll regret it. And don't nerd out or spoil anything else while we do. It does get a little boring lately so this'll be something different I suppose. I wonder though, what character would you think I'd like the most? Let's see if you'll know my taste in characters!" she smirked.

Okay!!!!! Here's my Devilman oc, Kaeko!! She's pretty ordinary, is overly naive, and has pretty bad luck 😔. The demon that merges with her during a violent car crash was subdued thanks to Kaeko's innocent heart. After the merging she still keeps her innocence but turns into somewhat of a pyromaniac. In her Devilman form she finds herself to be fireproof and with a whip like tail. I'm pretty shy about sharing my ocs usually so I hope you like her!!!

#1. What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?

I’m sure Kaeko could go up to an hour of sitting idly. She’s able to get lost in her mind for hours on end, but I’d give it about an hour before she starts to wander onto dark thought patterns and has to jostle herself out of it, naturally looking for some distraction.

#2. How easy is it for your character to laugh?

Not easy. She doesn’t have much of a sense of humor. She takes most things at face value either because she is oblivious due to being seriously dispassionate at the moment or due to being incredibly anxious at the moment.

#3. How do they put themselves to bed at night (reading, singing, thinking?)

I think Kaeko needs to put herself to bed by doing something up until she’s ready to fall asleep. Just laying idly and letting herself drift off never works out for her because her mind will drift to thoughts that keep her from feeling comfortable enough to sleep. So she might play game on her phone or read or hum along to some music or something, anything to occupy her mind until it is numb and tired.

#4. How easy is it to earn their trust?

Not easy. It takes a lot for her to trust someone.

#5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

Ehhhh. She won’t initially write you off as a bad person without giving a chance to prove that you’re not, but she also won’t give many chances to prove that you’re not a bad person.
