Fratmosphere ask: Kaolin angst?
Say LESS!
Kaolin has a very complicated relationship with himself. He feels very deeply and uses humor to cover up how sad he feels. Classic class clown syndrome.
He feels the most Alien out of his brothers, and struggles to make connections with them. He often makes them upset with his insensitive jokester attitude. Kaolin doesn’t particularly enjoy upsetting his brothers, but he’d rather make them mad than open up about how he feels inside.
As the glass middle child, he is not used to positive attention. He’s more comfortable getting negative attention for things he’s doing wrong, which kind of just feeds the whirlpool of self loathing.

I got a Pixel 8. I was going to get an 8a but I found a good eBay deal on the 8. I'm fiddling with the bespoke Google stuff they have. Fascinated to discover that the on device audio captioning system is totally allowed to caption swears! They don't even give you the option to turn off the censoring on YouTube. You can tell this one to censor itself but I'm not sure why you would. It's extremely handy to be able to caption any arbitrary video or podcast reasonably well. Reassuring that running the captioner causes noticeable performance drops.
It's a pretty nice phone. I wish that they still made good phones with capacitive fingerprint scanners but at least this scanner seems okay. It would be so easy to do this the good way! You don't have to develop all these clever guidance features to help people learn where to put their fingerprint if you just put it in the button!
This is my first near-flagship phone I've had at release, which is probably going to matter more in two years than it does now. Interested to see what their image processing stuff looks like, I find a lot of that bizarre because I'm expecting the appearance of a little phone sensor image and then they throw a bunch of processing and simulated optics at it and it looks weird.
The bubbly UI is weird but fine. Very low density at times. I haven't used a stock launcher in ages.

Clay pipes, often called kaolin pipes, are common at historic sites. Some are plain, while others have decorations that help in determining age or possible manufacturer. Decorations or inscriptions can be on the bowls or stems. These examples are from a site in Crawford County, Wisconsin.

Comic of a scene in episode 25 of the Three of Hearts Podcast. Image description and dialogue written below cut. Meant to be read starting in the top left going down.
Panel One, Top Left Corner: All drawings are done in black/grey pencil with computer text as an overlay. We see Spar’s hand resting on Vellum’s.
Spar: I know this isn’t the time um or the place, but like just in case there’s, I don’t know another bomb threat or bomb or whatever um…
Panel Two, Bottom Left Corner: Spar is running his hand through his hair while speaking to Vellum.
Spar: I’m really sorry, about the past day. I didn’t…
Nothing I said about you being a bad agent or bad in the field, that was –
I just-
I was too scared to let you come with me.
And…you should-
You should talk to your uncle. I’m gonna go see um-
Panel Three, Top Middle: We see Vellum grabbing Spar’s wrist to stop him from leaving.
Vellum: Wait! But -
Panel Four, Bottom Middle: We see Vellum tucking a strand of hair behind his ear while speaking to Spar.
Vellum: I-I appreciate you saying that. Um…why where you scared?
Panel Five, Top Right: No dialogue. We see Spar shoes as he rises to his toes.
Panel Six, Bottom Right: No dialogue. Spar presses a gentle kiss to a surprised Vellum’s lips.
