Collin Clarke é um bodybuilder como qualquer um, inclusive, já até competiu em campeonatos de fisiculturismo.
Porém, nasceu com síndrome de down.
E isso, para alguns, poderia ser um um fator determinante para que ele não fizesse ‘muita coisa’ em sua vida e tivesse limitações.
Mas quem pensou isso se enganou, e muito, pois Collin é um exemplo para muita gente, sendo conhecido em diversos estados norte-americanos.

Collin Clarke tem 25 anos, atualmente, e começou no levantamento de peso aos 12, mas sem muita ambição, até os 21.
Entretanto, apesar de treinar, levantar peso, não tinha o físico comum de um fisiculturista.
Alguns anos atrás, Clarke pesava 91 kg e estava com 37% de gordura corporal. Não estava nem um pouco em forma.
Estava desmotivado e depressivo, precisava encontrar uma razão, um objetivo para todo seu esforço como bodybuilder.
Ainda por cima, estava com um alto risco de desenvolver diabetes.
Foi quando ele compareceu a um evento de fisiculturismo, apenas para assistir. Ele ficou fissurado.
A mãe do bodybuilder foi que uma das maiores dificuldades no começo foi fazê-lo mudar a dieta.
Sua mãe passou a preparar sua comida, com clara de ovo e farinha de manhã.
Frango com proteína, arroz e muitos vegetais.
Pouco tempo depois, ele já estava com 62 kg e com apenas 7% de gordura corporal.

A primeira competição

Foi então que ele se inscreveu no Kentucky Muscle Bodybuilding. E foi aí que ele se tornou uma sensação virtual.
“Foi algo inesperado, mas sentíamos que precisávamos responder a todos que mandavam mensagem”, disse a mãe dele em entrevista.
Por causa disso, criaram o Collination, uma ONG para ajudar pessoas com necessidades especiais.
“Utilizamos as mídias sociais para interagir com os seguidores e fãs de todo o mundo”, finalizou.
Collin competiu no Kentucky em 2015, 2016 em 2017. Competiu também no Indiana Muscle & Expo.
“Estar no palco é incrível, quando você pisa nele e sente a emoção… Eu não faço por mim, sabe? Faço pelas pessoas que me apoiam”, disse Collin.
Inspiração para os Estados Unidos

Após fazer sucesso na competição em Kentucky e de ganhar muita visibilidade, ele partiu para outros estados norte-americanos.
Tudo isso para divulgar o Collination e, claro, inspirar outras pessoas. Ele foi para a Flórida, Dakota do Norte, Califórnia, entre outros.
Quem ajuda são seus irmãos Courtney, de 24 anos e Connor, de 23. Todos nasceram com 11 meses de intervalo, o que permitiu que fossem bem unidos.
Então, todos se ajudaram e incentivaram nas horas de brincar e também se exercitar.
Por isso, já crescidos, desenvolveram o programa Five for Five, que consiste numa aula de exercícios gratuitos para crianças com necessidades especiais.

Apesar de já ter competido, Collin não é profissional, o que é um grande sonho dele.
Por isso, treina pesado para evoluir e poder competir em eventos nacionais.
Para finalizar, um outro grande sonho do bodybuilder é estar em cima de um palco com ninguém menos que Arnold Schwarzenegger.
