can we talk about how so many of us practically grew up with noragami? many of us here are now adults who have liked this series since we were kids. we really stuck around long enough to see it through to the end. it's commendable, honestly. waiting in agony every month for whatever hell adatchitoka wanted us to go through was an experience in itself, and this comment made me chuckle thinking about it.

well, they weren't wrong! i have so much love for this series and the journey i had with it from start to finish. noragami is never leaving my heart and mind, and this sick empty feeling when a series i love ends will haunt me for the rest of my days. thank you for all these years. goodbye noragami <3

yato's abilities include, but are not limited to--

blood manipulation

blood contamination ( an infection or curse that makes your blood feel like it's literally boiling under your skin ). he can also turn those infected or killed ruing his rituals into bat like monsters.

blood magic / blood rituals

possession. it allows yato access to memories and emotions within a person, but he cannot possess the same body twice. it'd be too much for them i feel- and seems to be a rule set in place for himself anyway.

capable of manipulating and creating enshyoujo from himself. the enshyoujo are also known as Hinoenma, beautiful but wicked female yōkai, who feed off of the life force of men. they can grow incredibly powerful, but never stronger than yato. and when he needs to or wishes to, he can reabsorb them.

immortality? it is my understanding, that yato is an embodiment of blood, instinct, and affliction. and that whether he is sealed, defeated with no physical body to use or return to-- he will remain so long as there is intelligent blood. sort of where some of my headcanons come into play. yato will always exist, you can't get rid of him. you can however slow him down, if you know how.

possible ability to make... pocket dimensions??? hello???? the event took place in an area that seemed closed off to the world. and anyone there could not leave in any capacity, until the ritual was finished. i think so long as a ritual or 'deal' is made with yato-- he can do this. it is a place where he makes the rules, not only for those who participate, but himself as well!
