saw this comment on a tiktok about the apollo kids singing songs on the half-blood bus when all of camp half-blood was driving to meet percy before the battle of manhattan. and i'm actually so in love with the idea of all of the campers singing upbeat songs before heading into battle. boasting each other up. getting in the right headspace to give their all.

We are having a birthday party for the 8 year old and his class mates tomorrow.
It will be a minecraft themed party with a game my spouse and I made for the garden. We sort of turned our garden into a "boardgame" and the kids will be colouring their characters and moving them around on the board. Then they will go to different biomes and collect a token, come back to the central crafting table and roll some dice to see what loot they got.
The shared goal is to collect all the ingrediens for two cakes. Those will then be swapped for actual cakes for the kids.
I hope it goes well tomorrow.

I highly recommend carrying a tiny bottle of bubbles around with you at all times. Entertain yourself and the kids around you!

Thinking about how funny it would be if baby Vash from tristamp was just a big fan of action-packed sci-fi movies...oh he doesn't like cowboy movies and whines when they're on but he loves whenever he gets a chance to put on The Thing or Alien or Slither when Rem isn't looking (meanwhile Nai complains to high heaven when Vash picks a movie because he hates the spooky scary alien monsters that aren't easy to kill)
And then on the flipside when Rem tries to show the twins star wars thinking they'll find common ground they instead both end up hating it lmao

If anyone ever asks me to compose a dictionary, I’ll just include a recording of my manager complaining about how expensive it is to hire an entertainer to amuse her child’s entire class at her birthday party straight under ‘middle class problems’.
