oh fuck yes baby boy NEEDS a snuggle so fuckin bad. Jay is SO motherfucking - his full name is Janasheen Lagmani Mufti btw (successor, born at nightfall, one who gives council or legal advice) - Jay is SO motherfuckin touch starved that he'll get injured on purpose just so he can feel you touch him up. After a while you start to catch onto this because you don't have the heart to tell him he's not quite as slick as he thinks he is. So OBVIOUSLY I have a medieval game OBVIOUSLY I have a jousting game the only way you're gonna get him to turn into your snuggly lil bunbun (yes he does insist you call him that after you say it once as a joke and he loses his mind) is to make him think YOU'RE really the one who needs cuddles. like of course you're feeling kinda sad and tired from all your schoolwork so of COURSE you need a big strong tough cool guy star of the tourney team to make you feel all safe and cozy. obviously it's TOTALLY for your benefit. not at all because Jay was not hugged once as a child! that's hilarious and true and totally not the reason at all! I just washed my hands that's why they're wet! no other reason!

but yeah once you actually start cuddling with him it's going to take approximately less that six seconds for him to become a total and complete velcro boyfriend. it takes longer to watch any vine in existance than it does for Jay to latch onto you like a small baby bird. he did not know that touchy feely stuff could be so... nice. especially when it's with you. he tried giving Carlos and Evie and Mal bear hugs between classes when he's away from you and it was good, but it wasn't the same. Maybe it's because Carlos still thinks he's going to get suplexed whenever Jay grabs him like that or maybe it's because Mal keeps asking if he huffed her spraypaint and that's why he's so huggy out of nowhere (Evie doesn't mind too much as long as he doesn't wrinkle her outfits or mess with her hair and makeup. she actually approves of you two and likes that you're bringing out Jay's more affectionate side. she makes a mental note to give you the friends and family discount on any future designs you order from her.) but shortly after that first time you snuggled up with Jay and had him tell you all about the video games he's been playing and about tourney practice he's full on addicted to your touch and cuddles. Coach sometimes has to pull you off your extra curriculars to give Jay hugs and kisses during practice when he cops an attitude or gets too rowdy. you're known as the Jay whisperer immediately and believe me the nickname sticks. Carlos asks what the hype is once and you give him head scratches and he understands.

Vettonso x Similar Helmets

SV Germany 2012 x FA Monaco 2013: Gold & Dark Red

I think a lot about Vettonso and their mutual relationship witn gold. They're both golden boys, they're both seen lit gold by the sunshine on many podiums throughout the years, both have worn golden boots, and as you can see here: both have worn golden helmets. The parallels in these particular helmets makes me feel insane. Both are: gold with dark red accents, both have their birthplace's coat of arms(Bergstraße and Asturias), both have team animal motifs, and both have symbols to represent their two championships(You by now know the signifigance of the ones on Fernando's helmet, but I think the ones on Seb's are actually a callback to his Formula BMW days when he used to put the smiley stickers on his car for every win.)

And did you know both of these helmets were designed by the same helmet design company? Yep, both of these are JMD helmets. I know JMD helmets are/were pretty popular, but still, there's something to me about Fernando commissioning the same designer that Seb has been using since he was a literal child. Parallels, am I right?

SV Japan 2010 x FA Japan 2023: White with Black & Red

Haha I remember @protocolseben and I discussing this a bit back in September when Fernando's helmet dropped. I honestly think Seb is such an innovator and trailblazer in terms of helmet design, and you can see his influence in helmet design as recently as this past season. I'm not sure if he was the first ever driver to don a matte white helmet with red accents as a representation of the Japanese flag, but it certainly envoked him in my mind when I saw Fernando's!!

I think Fernando's is pretty similar to all of Seb's 2010-2012 Japan helmets but I like this one the most so! I think if Seb wasn't restrained by the Red Bull logo, he def wouldv'e put the red circle where Nando put his so I think Fernando did a really good job, even if unintentionally, at emulating Seb's sense of design.

SV Singapore 2012 x FA Singapore 2012: Sparkly!

Like I said in the one above, it's crazy how much Seb influenced helmet design. He was pretty much the pioneer of sparkly helmets for Singapore, right? It drives me absolutely insane that there's actually pictures of them together in such similar designed helmets. It's kinda funny actually that even though they're pretty deep in the championship fight at this point, and Seb just got one up on Fernando; Fernando is wearing a helmet that is a direct influence from Seb!!! Is that not insane???

Also, Fernando trying to be camp with trying the now in vogue sparkly Singapore helmet, and Seb accidentally completely blew him out of the water with his outrageous light up LED constellation helmet. But god yeah....to have pics of them in matching helmets from this era particuarly makes me emotional ;;;

SV Hungary 2021 x FA 2022: Pink with Dark Blue

I really could've picked any of Seb's 2021 helmets, but I thought this one matched the best with Fernando's main 2021 helmet(with the color pallet.) Also one thing, it's crazy how much control BWT has as a sponsor, I don't think I've ever seen another sponsor go so hard at having a chokehold on individuality. I like that we got pink liveries and pink helmets, but I don't think they should have that much control.

I'm almost kinda sad there wasn't any Miami GP in 2021, because I think that was the only unique helmet Fernando had in 2022. But these match pretty well! Pretty in pink!! It's crazy that their parallels in the 2020s are ongoing even before Fernando actually takes over Seb's seat. Thanks BWT I guess?

SV Abu Dhabi 2022 x FA Abu Dhabi 2022: Fernando's Seb Tribute Helmet

AND HERE WE HAVE THE PIÈCE DE RÉSISTANCE!!! The ultimate conclusion, it literally couldn't get better than this!! This is still unbelievable, like how is this an actual thing that happened!? Fernando intentionally branding his helmet, the only symbol of individuality in F1, with his rival's flag colors, HIS FLAG!!!!! Not to mention the literal "Vettono Best Moments" collage he posted alongside it....and the hand-holding....and everything that happened with them at Abu Dhabi 2022....

But god, after years of incidentally making parallel helmet designs, Fernando decided to officially tie the knot of the red string of fate, and make a helmet directly referencing Seb's. I think it's funny because as I said with two of the previously mentioned ones, those Fernando designs are pretty much inspired by Seb's, and here he is openly making one directly inspired by Seb. I don't really have words for how this actually makes me feel because it's just. Yeah. The most open and clear declaration of love and respect and admiration one could ever make. TO ME.

As someone who's super into Superboy, do you have any reccs for curious beginners about what to watch/read to check that out?

( GOD I'M SO SORRY HOW LONG I TOOK TO ANSWER THIS, I LEFT IT HALF-FINISHED IN MY DRAFTS BECAUSE I MEANT TO LOOK UP SOME FIC RECS LATER AND THEN TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT IT, hahasob. Dangit, self! I don't know if this is even still a relevant question for you but screw it, forget both that concern and the recs-research, I am ANSWERING IT NOW. )

So as far as actual canon goes, in the comics I mostly read his original solo title from issue fifty to cancellation, which was about another fifty issues, and also all of Young Justice's original run and both the World Without Grownups and Sins of Youth events, as well as a few other YJ-related one-shots and specifically Young Justice: The Secret, which is I beeelieve only one issue and was the comic that first got me interested in YJ as a team to begin with. I went back and read some earlier issues later, but issue fifty of Superboy's first solo is actually a really good jumping-on point for him imo, it's the start of an arc about him being stranded on an island of beast-men with amnesia and repressed powers and it sets up a new status-quo for him after. There's also a later arc in the series about interdimensional travel through Hypertime where he meets a lot of other versions of himself, including the grown-adult version who's trying to invade half the multiverse, which I thought was especially good too. And like, just it was a real good run in general, I thought, I really dug it.

Also, he was originally introduced as a character after (or during?) the Death of Superman arc and featured reasonably heavily in the Reign of the Supermen event as one of the four replacements trying to become the new Superman, though I haven't personally read much of those. If I started anywhere as a newcomer, I'd probably start with either his original solo run or the original Young Justice. Or both! Both is good! Young Justice is especially choice, though, and also tells a full and pretty well-developed story over the run of the comic without anything in particular getting cut off prematurely. Like, I remember it wrapping up really well, especially for an ongoing American comic from the Big Two.

Other comics I know Kon's been prominent/important in but either haven't read or haven't read much of: Superboy and the Ravers, Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day, Teen Titans (2003), another solo Superboy title set in Smallville, Young Justice (2019), Dark Crisis: Young Justice, and Superboy: Man of Tomorrow.

There's also the Young Justice cartoon, which has a VERY different take on his personality, though I still really liked what I saw of the character and have written fic about that version of him, and then there's the animated Reign of the Supermen movie, which I still haven't seen but looks real good and seems to be more comics-accurate, personality-wise. And like, I absolutely LOVE his design in it, haha. He's just a lil' brat, it's great! In live-action there's both Titans and later seasons of Smallville, but I wasn't very interested in either of those myself and don't know much about them.

There's . . . there's a lot out there, haha, the character is like a good thirty years old now. And honestly I kinda play fast and loose with some of the canon, this is VERY much the kind of fandom where I just go for what I think works best for the story I wanna tell. It's comics, okay, canon is BARELY EVEN GUIDELINES AT THIS POINT, hahaha.

you follow jungwon, niki, and sunghoon as you enter the set. there are lights set up angled towards a white wall along with a few props set aside on tables on the left side of the room. “oh, it’s loose,” jungwon tugs at the scarf around his neck. “stylist!” you chuckle, watching as sunghoon pulls the fabric taut and tucks it back in. 

“okay, other team!” jungwon calls. behind the camera, a staff member silently gestures for the others to enter from where they’re standing on the side. 

“wow!” 

“they look so much cooler than us!” 

you laugh, tugging at your sleeves. “who styled who?” jungwon asks. 

“i styled sunoo and heeseung-hyung styled jake.” jay answers. he rolls the lollypop in his mouth. it’s a nice accessory to his outfit. 

“i like y/n’s style,” heeseung comments. “he looks really good.” 

“let’s explain how we picked the clothing,” jungwon prompts, gesturing to niki. “niki, please explain your style.” 

niki nods, quickly readjusting your outfit before he begins. “so, if you look here, the key point is the leather jacket. the name of his outfit is cool.” you let him maneuver your body around to show the different aspects of his design. 

“it looks really comfortable,” sunoo says. 

“it is,” you hum. 

“i picked a jacket that y/n would look good in,” niki continues, tugging at the thin silver chain around your neck. “and i chose the necklace because it matches his rings and because he is handsome. that’s it.” you tug the sleeves up a little, holding your hands up towards the camera to show the thin silver bands around your fingers.

“okay,” jake claps. 

you gently push niki forwards to be closer to the cameras. “about niki’s style. the name of this look is dark.”

“dark,” heeseung repeats. “i like it.” 

“i wanted to keep it light and comfortable,” you explain, gesturing to the jacket. “so the top is simple and the pants are loose jeans.”

niki holds his hand out for you, tugging you into a half-hug. you join the others in applauding when he lets go before jungwon and sunghoon begin, followed by jay and sunoo and finally heeseung and jake.

“we can’t go outside like this,” sunghoon says, looking down at his clothing, “but they could wear those out.” 

“i think they look nice too,” jungwon gestures to you and niki. “it's just the two of us…” sunghoon reassuringly pats his back.

“you’ll look good in the photoshoot,” you say. 

“ah, that’s right,” jungwon smiles. 

“it is photo time now?” 

“yes.” 

“who will take the pictures?” sunghoon asks. 

“we will,” jungwon answers. 

"really?"

“you’ll use the props to take pictures.” a staff member instructs from behind the camera. after a chorus of ‘okay’s, you begin. 

there are a variety of items set out on the table as you approach. you join niki as you look through the candy set out. 

“y/n, take a picture of me,” jungwon calls, standing in front of the wall. you hold the camera up, focusing it on him before snapping a few pictures. 

“how does it look?” sunoo asks, leaning over jay to see the image on the computer. 

jungwon joins him. “i look good,” he smiles. 

“there are reflectors,” jake calls as he pulls them out. the light bounces off of the silver film, creating a nice glow on anything it touches. 

“jake, let’s start now,” jay announces into a plastic megaphone. “everyone, please be quiet.” 

“we don’t know how to use these,” he laughs as sunghoon holds them up behind him. 

“here,” you reach over to grab one, angling it so the light hits jake’s face. “you use them to direct the light.” 

“woah,” the boys murmur in awe. you hold it in place, keeping the glow on jake’s face as niki takes the camera to snap a few pictures. 

“niki looks like a real photographer,” heeseung smiles. 

jake hangs his leg off of the side of the chair as he poses. niki kneels down to get a few different angles as he continues taking photos. 

“okay, next person,” jake stands up, joining sunoo behind the computer. 

“niki, you go next,” you urge, taking the camera from him. you hold it up, snapping a few pictures as he poses. he looks effortless as he angles his body in front of the white wall behind him. he tugs the hood of his jacket over his head and holds the lollypop between his lips in place with his teeth. 

“wait, should we use props?” jake asks. 

heeseung pulls the chair back out in front of the wall for niki to sit on. he leans towards the camera as he poses as you snap even more pictures of him. 

“y/n’s good at this,” sunoo comments. 

jay hums. “he and niki are like real photographers.” 

jungwon goes next, tugging on a pair of green gloves as sunghoon takes the camera. you lean over niki’s shoulder as he sits down beside jay. sunghoon kneels down on the ground to take pictures of jungwon from different angles. 

you laugh when sunghoon lays down on the ground, propping the camera up with his chest. “what is he doing?” sunoo laughs.

“it’s part of his process,” you defend, watching the new pictures he takes as they come up on the screen. sunghoon switches positions again, now sticking his leg up in the air. 

“why are you lifting your leg?” niki asks. 

jungwon sits down on the chair as sunghoon checks the pictures on the monitor. “we can’t use this,” jay chuckles. 

“we can’t?” 

“let y/n take the pictures,” jungwon calls. “he’s good at this.” he holds a giant lollypop in his hand as he poses. 

sunghoon goes next, dramatically pushing his body up on the chair. “is this performance art?” sunoo laughs. 

“take a close up,” sunghoon instructs, gesturing for you to come closer. you zoom in as he stands up, posing in front of the white wall. 

“director y/n,” heeseung calls. 

“director y/n,” the others agree. 

“okay, heeseung next,” jay instructs. “director y/n!” 

“relax,” you smile as heeseung sits down on the chair. “let’s change the props, they’re all the same.” 

“okay,” jungwon props up three poles as heeseung pushes the chair out of the way again. sunoo helps, holding a reflector up from the side. 

“wow,” they cheer. “you look really good!” 

“this is embarrassing,” heeseung laughs. 

“why don’t we use the stairs?” you set the camera aside, helping niki push them into frame. jay sits down on them as sunoo slides a pair of round, black sunglasses over his eyes. you quickly snap a few pictures of him before handing the camera off to jake for sunoo’s turn. 

heeseung pats your shoulder as sunoo positions himself on the stairs. he pulls one knee up, hanging an arm on it. “you look great!” jungwon announces into the megaphone. jake lays down on the ground to take a picture from underneath him as sunghoon holds a blanket up behind sunoo to create a makeshift wall. 

“group shot?” heeseung asks once they finish. 

“yeah, let’s take a group shot.” jungwon agrees. jake sets the camera on a tripod, preparing it as you join the others on the stairs. you kneel next to heeseung in front of niki's legs as the shutter goes off. niki repositions himself for the second shot, leaving his hand on your shoulder. 

after a few more shots, you finally settle on one where you’re all confident in your looks. jungwon claps as you wander around set. “good job!” 

heeseung joins in, applauding with him. “good job, everyone.”

My daughters boss didn't actually try to assassinate her, her just planned to do it and then did it in one reality but kept the reality where he didn't! So it's ok! I'm fine. Not worried at all that Coil knows Skitter was planning on double crossing him and that he found a way to screw with Tattletales powers.

I want to say I'm glad she got her full team on board, but given that there is a chance someone on her team ratted on her it might not be good.

Skitter goes a little bit far at the end with Triumph. Just a tiny itty bitty bit far. Child you almost KILLED HIM! And then you let him sit there dying when the threat isn't that he'll die now, but that you will come back if needed (mayor ain't going to say what you want him to say if you kill his son, the point is if he doesn't say it you'll come back)! I'm worried about you.

Brian I understand why you like my daughter and she seems to like you and I'm glad having someone you feel safe with is helping you process your very valid trauma (important note, you could have done the same with your sister, she was trying to help you but you wouldn't open up to her, you should open up to her). But please don't get in the way of her relationships with her girlfriends. Just understand in terms of long term stuff Chatterbug and Wolfspider 100% trump . . . Darkbug? Fuck what are you guys called?

Parian is one of my absolute favorite characters! Flechette is pretty cool as well. Being a hero hurts her. Stabbing my daughter also didn't build good marks with me, but I understand why she did it. Cause GAAAAAAAAAAAY. I have a hard time being too mad at a lesbian stabbing someone to protect her girlfriend.

I'm glad Parian isn't joining Coil full hog at least, she's too pure to be a villain (or a "hero"). I kinda wish she could just move to New York and be a fashion designer and live her best life, but I do enjoy the idea of getting to see her more.

And to be honest, I don't think anyone on Earth Bet is really going to be living their best life in the long run. Sorry guys.

The fucking shutdown the team gives to the Nazis is AMAZING! Like ya no Hookwolf or Purity this time, that obviously would have made it harder. But still, comparing the previous fight to this just really shows how much the team has increased in power. They didn't even bring Grue.

Skitter and Tattletale being able to work together to find all the people in a few block radius and figure out which groups are Nazis, all while just standing in the middle of the street, is so fucking cool. I fucking love watching them work.

I don't love the girlfriends fighting with the whole "Skitter wasn't told about the plan to have Regent yoink a Nazi". But they seemed to make up pretty quickly.

Skitter fucking running multiple bug clones, with cameras and microphones, all across her territory, and using them to talk to people and check in on things, WHILE getting surgery on her shoulder??! FUCKING HELL. Like ok yes, please love yourself child and let yourself take it easy sometimes. But also holy shit that is so god damn amazing. I am 100% convinced (I mean, I have been since like Arc 4 TBH) that she uses her bugs to basically offload her pain. Or offloads her mind to her bugs so she can ignore the pain in her body. Same idea. Like even if it's never confirmed it is true to me. And the multitasking! Give Taylor a Thinker classification!!

Just fucking attacking the mayor's family to intimidate him into telling people in Washington to not condemn Brockton Bay huh? I mean sure it kinda worked at the end (assuming he does what he said he would) but it really seems like a terrible plan. Like, the people in Washington are gonna hear about the attack and wonder about everything the mayor says. But fine, that's the plan.

Skitter making the bug clones complex enough that Trickster and Genesis don't even notice she's a clone at first is super cool! Also it does drive home that she is always just covered with so many bugs and using swarm speech so much that when a version of her shows up that is completely covered in bugs and speaks fully with swarm speech it doesn't throw anyone off.

Coil had to know that Triumph was the mayor's kid. The fact that he's the one who pushed to have them attack during family dinner.

I'm really proud of Skitter for figuring it out though! I pegged him as a cape pretty much right away and was able to figure out it was Triumph not long after, but she was in the heat of the moment. Also she got the girlfriend pegged as a either Prism or Ursa while I was still uncertain if she was a cape.

Holy shit that fight was so fucking cinematic! Perfectly built for Triumph to look cool by exploding bug clones with his shouts. And with Prism splitting and combining constantly. Just fuck. I'd love to see an animation of that fight. It was super cool.

And again, Skitter got dark there. And sadly I'm worried she's gonna get darker.

My Ghost(Simon Riley) Headcanons

He's not addicted to his mask. The dialogue between him and Soap about it is funny as hell("bet you sleep with that thing" "soundly.") But like he probably takes his mask off once he's home alone and what not. Sometimes forgets to wash it but he keeps a reminder on his phone to do it at least once a week. Has a few extras with his stuff, and carries at least one baclava in his uniform's pocket just in case.

He's not super insecure. He's confident, he knows he's hot. I could see him being a bit self conscious about his scars, and he likely doesn't like anyone touching them. But other than that, he doesn't mind how he looks(like his body weight, his height, etc)

Doesn't smoke(or very rarely does it). But he does drink. It's very controlled, though, and he refuses to have any more than 3 drinks because he doesn't want to be irresponsible. Some nights he's actually likely to be the designated driver if the team heads to a pub.

Eats regularly. At least two good meals a day, and he's fairly mindful about what he's eating. Sometimes he doesn't have the time or resources to get like a bunch of veggies or whatever, so he does settle for fast food or junk food. He doesn't starve himself, he knows he won't be able to do his job efficiently if he does.

I think he's not cold and emotionless all the time. He likes jokes and witty banter!! He probably doesn't mind listening to someone ramble for a while!! It might take him a bit to warm up to someone on his own, but he might feel better if there's a mutual friend(i.e. Soap). But he isn't a robot all the time it just takes him a minute to adjust to a new person. (He does always have that lingering fear of betrayal, though. He wishes it wasn't there always nagging at the back of his mind.)

Did go through a lot of therapy. Both for his physical health(after being hung by his ribs and what not) and his mental health(for basically everything). He wouldn't have been considered fit to serve if he hadn't done it. (I also think this would make him the type to make jokes about his own trauma sometimes just for the hell of it)

NSFW. It takes a solid couple of weeks/months into a relationship for him to feel comfortable with sex. He doesn't mind kissing/hugging/holding hands/cuddling, but in terms of intimacy he needs to know that he's safe with someone to actually do that stuff.

He's very nice about it. Checks up on his partner multiple times throughout to make sure he's not doing anything to upset them. If he is, he immediately backs off.

Manhandles by accident. Tends to get lost in the moment and so he just kinda,,, moves his partner around. Quickly apologizes and chuckles and asks them if they're alright in this position.

He's a little kinky. Not a whole lot, but I imagine he'd be okay with things like easy bondage, light impact play, and maybe some stuff with toys if that's what his partner likes. If his partner wants to do something new he does hella research first. Also he may be more leaning dominant but he's not gonna be a hard Dom.

Tends to pass out right after the fact. To combat this he usually tries to keep some snacks, drinks, and wipes in the room in case his partner wants any. Of course he'll make it up to them in the morning--I think he's really good at making proper tea and coffee.

TL;DR I see way too much mischaracterization of him. He's a little guy and he deserves better. :)

You mean to tell me that an almost immortal being is getting hate bcs he's loosing the closest thing he had to a friend and a father knowing that that'll happen to everyone he knows and can't take it like a mature adult ? When faes are canonically minors under the age of 200 and he's 178 and clearly struggling with his emotions since he was raised in loneliness ? Lmao. Okay. (I have to keep it short or I'll do a full Malleus analysis and no one wants that).

I CANNOT put into words how much realism he was made with, and I could FEEL it through his overblot. Overblotting because no matter how HARD you try you'll always be second ? Because people will always prefer the other option because you're SO hard on yourself that you legit seems overworldly to others and it makes them feel intimidated ? Vil better than me I would've overblotted SO MUCH more in his shoes. And him being disgusted with his own actions because HE KNOWS THAT THIS ISN'T HOW HE SHOULD ACHIEVE GREATNESS OH I'M SICK. And the aftermath when Rook voted for the other team ? While I understand that it was logical and I don't blame him for that, it legit hurt me, so can you imagine Vil ? He literally almost fainted, and that's a tame reaction if you ask me. Vil overblot was perfect.

3 - Riddle

No need to elaborate I think. His overblot hit too close to home and I IMMEDIATELY loved him. Also while I love Ace he kinda deserved to be punished for the tart tbh. Like just don't steal what's not yours ? Use your brain ? Riddle punishing him was EXTREMELY reasonable, even more so when you know that he LOVES strawberry tarts, and Ace refuting that AND coming after his position when he could have just APOLOGIZED, is def one of the reason I wasn't fan of him for MONTHS. Not surprised that Riddle got very mad at him (I def would have too).

4 - Leona

Now his reason was very similar to Vil, but the reason I liked it less (doesn't mean that I disliked it) is because he knew he would be second from his birth, that nothing he could ever do would change that while Vil has the possibility to become first, and he's yet unable to do it and I find that even more tragic. Leona was literally doomed from the start and yet he still tried his best for years only for the people he would have been a king to if the successor was based on skills alone to be the one hating him ? Kill me. It caused him depression and ruined his life, so much that he gets held back on purpose to not go home ? Killed me even more. He deserved so much and he got so little hiahdqirongbzkzhzo.

5 - Idia

Listen, I understand the pain of loosing a brother, I lost one of mine, but never in my 20 years of life would I have ever thought of building an IA OF HIM ?? He kinda went crazy with this one. I wished we had gotten his parents' reaction to robot Ortho tbh. Him being unable to move on from Ortho was so good, especially when we know that he blames himself for his death, and getting CORRUPTED by og Ortho is perfect. I don't have a lot more to say, sorry.

6 - Azul - starting from here, there's a huge gap between the classements. The 5 firsts were TIGHT together.

He's an achiever who lost the empire he built, I get it. But like, just build it again. Stop crying and rolling on the floor, and get up and act like a man. Of course, I know he's still a minor too, so I understand why he reacts like that, but Idk. I didn't feel as attached to his overblot as the others, which I'm kinda sad about since I REALLY like him, he's just so enjoyable.

7 - Last and least, the bitch himself, Jamil

Could have prevented the overblot if he learnt what communication was and I'll stand by that. Tried to kill Kalim because he couldn't take his anger on their parents, the yk, lmactual reasons why he felt like this in the first place. And he held Yuu captive too. He has no excuses.

Design :

1 - Riddle

PERFECT. LITERALLY UNMATCHED. The cards, the dress, the makeup, the eye color change, everything was PERFECT !

2 - Vil

I didn't know I needed nun Vil before but I do now wtf. He made me think of Mary so much it's insane I was in shock. The spikes were GOOD.

3 - Jamil

Since this on design alone, this is the only time he'll ever be in one of my top 3. The color scheme was on point and the snake design was VERY fitting.

4 - Azul

It was GOOD. And since it gave us Azul in merform it's 🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️. The color was fitting once again and he just overall looked good.

5 - Malleus

I'll never say it enough but NEON GREEN IS SUCH A BAD CHOICE FOR DIASOMNIA LORD ! Forest green would fit them all MUCH better, and it's proved once again by his overblot design. The purple is good, but the green is such a thrown off dude... I also didn't particularly like the hair choice but I did like the tail. The rest of the design is just not very special.

6 - Leona (he's fighting with Idia for the last place)

The hair... the hair was not it. (I did like how it kinda matched Cater's (especially when you consider that Cater had called him sweatheart minutes before... my Leokei shipper sense is in action...)). The rest of the design was just meh.

7 - Idia

I'M SORRY BUT THAT WAS JUST HIDEOUS WTF. Idia with short hair is my nightmare dude.

Can I suggest Iida from My Hero Academia?

My first impression: I thought he was funny as hell. I didn't see the first season until after my watching of season 2 and midway of season 3. So I caught his more comedic moments like the battle between him and Mei.

My impression now: Tenya is great, I like him! He's a good kid and means well.

Favorite thing about that character: I'll say this later, but I like that Tenya isn't too serious of a character. Instead, as the story goes on, he does loosen up, even though he can still be a little too much at times. At best, he just doesn't want the class to get too out of hand, but still have fun.

Least favorite thing: Watching season 1's first couple of episodes I was like "he is so serious..." I didn't exactly hate it and honestly, I didn't think I would care much for Tenya. Of course, my mind has changed since.

Favorite line/scene: There's a couple, but to choose... in season 4, Tenya actually mocks Izuku saying something like "in just one day, I have been completely left behind" and then called him "house arrest". I wasn't expecting that at all!

Favorite interaction that character has with another: I love how he interacts with Izuku, but I especially love the moments he has with Ochako. Kinda hate how some of the fandom forgets that Izuku isn't the only boy Ochako hangs out with. My favorite interaction with Tenya and Ochako is back in season 1 during their first team battles. Their exchange during that was funny as hell.

A character that I wish that character would interact with more: I know we got some flashbacks, but I would love to have seen more Iida Brothers scenes. (For those who don't know, Tensei is my favorite big brother of BNHA... and honestly, the best one, tied with Rody.) Scratch that, not even just them, but more scenes with them and their parents, too. Probably a spin-off of the Iida Family and how they became one of the top hero families.

Another character from another fandom that reminds me of that character: It's been years since I actually watched Free, but Iida reminds me of Rei. Blue haired, glasses wearing tall teens with serious, but not so serious personalities and voiced by J. Michael Tatum? Twinsies.

A headcanon about that character: I headcanon that Iida does have a couple of glasses that are in funky colors and/or have designs on them. Some even being different lenses shapes.

A song that reminds of that character: Ever heard of the Sonic X's theme song?

An unpopular opinion about that character: I don't think Iida is that much of a "stick in the mud" as some of the fandom thinks. Especially since sometimes he's just as silly as the rest of the cast and sometimes he's the one breaking the rules.

How long did you think about/prepare for the comic before you started the comic and did you ever worry that it might not take off?

I came up with the design for White Diamond Steven on August 4th, 2018. At that time, I also said this:

.......famous last words.

Going against my own advice, I DID think about how it all happened. I thought about it for a month, and then in September I sat down and banged out the very first White Diamond AU comic - the one about Earl and Steven leaving together.

To tell the truth, at the time I just thought it would be a neat little idea. I never worried about it 'not taking off' because..... taking off wasn't my goal. I had no diabolical plans to craft a 5-season story, the longest I'd ever done. I had no aspirations to make this AU incredibly popular or well known.

I just wanted to draw silly comics about White Diamond Steven and his Pearl wandering around together.

The original concept for all this wasn't an epic tale. It was just a slice of life.... a very odd slice of life, but a slice of life nevertheless.

Which is why the first season of the story is what it is! Some people complain that it's directionless and boring, but. That was kinda the point. It was meant to be a melancholy, atmospheric little comic strip.

There wasn't any specific goal. I had a backstory, of course, and I KNEW even back then what was happening. But I assumed the interest - both mine and the audience's - would wane and I would just leave it whenever its time had come.

But by October, we had already come to this:

And I think it was around this time (or shortly before it) that I realized that this story couldn't remain in a perpetual just-vibes state forever. I had teased some hints about where the Crystal Gems were, and what their situation was. I had hinted that there was more to the story than had been revealed. And I suddenly thought that maybe I could actually write it.

.... and I kinda did.

(It's still weird to think about how MUCH I've written/drawn for this.)

I think.... a lot of people believe that writing/planning a story is something that happens on command. You sit down, you take a blank sheet of paper, you start from the beginning, and write everything in chronological order, and maybe in a week, or a month, or a year, you'll have 'the plan to write a story'.

And sure, that's one way to do it! But a lot of time, the story comes to YOU.

Rebecca Sugar knew Rose was Pink Diamond before the first episode aired. Was Steven Universe a planned story back then? Arguably, no. But the team had a framework.

I also knew, before drawing a single comic, what WD!Steven's deal was. I knew within about a day how he had come to be. I knew how Greg got involved in all of it. I knew the answer to every single 'BUT WHY DID WHITE DIAMOND--' question you guys have asked me for the past 5 years before I even created this blog.

But that isn't really a 'plan' so much as a concept.

I continue to plan the comics to this day. I know the end, and I know the main story beats. But the middle stuff about how to get there elegantly - that part takes planning. And I never really stopped planning since that day in 2018.

I had SO MUCH fun playing Vol. 3 with my friend! She is amazing at doing impressions and gave YouTube and Twitch the perfect voices, I couldn't ask for anything more. But enough about her since she prefers to remain anonymous, today I am here to present my favorite screenshots from the latest release of Cloutchase!

First thing I absolutely loved was that Twitch is so expressive! The facial expressions were all so delightful. ALSO. CLUB PENGUIN. AND WIZ101. And of course Webkinz, Animal Jam, and Neopets are in the background as well hahah, love that too!

This minigame was SO AMAZING omg I am OBSESSED with these character costumes and the fight animation too. Love all the cameos but this Strife content was so awesome!!!! The buttons were a little non-responsive at times but I managed to beat Twitch first try heheh

This is a pretty awesome frame and I'd like to shoutout AJ who I'm pretty sure drew it but I don't have the time or computer charge to reopen the game credits to check. If I'm wrong lemmie know but AJ deserves a shotuout anyway

I love how the subs are sub-sandwiches and I love the design of the camera and chat

Peak good end, now I know how to tie a tie. I actually really liked YouTube's route as it was cleverly designed and I love all the many different endings. It was kinda like wading through YouTube's recommended section where you'd save each different possibility of choices in your Watch Later and visit them all when you have the time (which is usually never). So many options but what to pick? I picked them all!

So when I got to this point I started laughing because my friend does all the voices and I only play User and Miss Blog Runner so she was carrying this entire section of the playthrough... AND THEN-

AND THEN THERE WERE FOUR! SHE HAD TO VOICE ALL FOUR OF THEM HAHAH! AND SHE DID AMAZINGLY! I kinda wish she wasn't anonymous cause I wanna give her a shoutout, but maybe when all the routes are released I can convince her to voice them all in a fandub (well not them ALL but definitely Kik and YouTube)

SWEET SWEET REVENGE HAHAHAHAH!!!! Totally deserved as long as they're done here hahahah. I do hope they can all tolerate each other again tho but I love this ending

This volume was long but a lot of fun! I love the Strife minigame and kinda hope it comes back in the future with more mechanics. Maybe an entire spinoff game like Smash Bros idk. Everything was so well written and I love how complex the characters are

SPOILERS TO THE NEW SMG4 VID

I just finished watching the new video and honestly I had a good time watching it. I had a few good laughs but I just dont know how to feel about it. It was funny but I just feel kind of mixed about it. I dont know if this is because of how much I hate Mr Puzzles or if I just hate how they painted him in a "good light" in the video if that makes sense.

ALSO THE END??? I might be overthinking it, but at the end, when Meggy got her memories back and she smiled, I was just confused. LIKE WHAT?????? Does that mean she likes him now or sees him as a good guy and is willing to defend him later on? I know what I just said sounds stupid but I just have a feeling that since Mr Puzzles is a very (overwhelmingly) liked character, in the Wotfi or other episodes she might be like "oh he's actually a nice person if he trusts you" or something like that and will try to "redeem" Mr Puzzles. To be honest, the last thing I want is for Mr Puzzles to be redeemed. I mean, he basically caused the whole igbp arc and the Western spaghetti movie. Oh, and he also caused the Wotfi 2023, but that wasn't as bad as igbp, which led to the castle being destroyed and Peach kinda getting left behind (or Western spaghetti). He just doesn't seem like the type of character that would be redeemed, but they will probably do it because he is so liked amongst the fandom. ORRRR!!! We could get meggy to team up with Mr Puzzles for a Meggy villain arc which would actually be kind of cool, but most likely wont happen because of all the things she went through with the crew and wouldn't throw her friends away like that.

Just to be clear, I think Mr Puzzles is a great villain from the overall design to the writing. I dont care if he's someone's favorite character. But in the last two episodes he was in, he just seemed really off character, and I was just getting major Smg3 vibes. I guess we will just have to wait to see how stuff plays out, but PLEASE dont redeem Mr Puzzles. It just wouldn't make sense to make him a good guy😭🙏

ima be honest, i kinda hate inside out 2

my dislike towards it doesn't really have a whole lot to do with the quality of the movie, though. it's more to do with personal reasons

but it does seem like a perfectly good movie, right? the issues it tackles may be overdone but it tackles them in a well thought out way that can really tug at a person's heartstrings, right? puberty, being a teenage girl, all that jazz. it does it well, right?

and i mean, yeah, it does. which is why ive been so confused over why i despise this movie so much. i watch it and i get depressed, and not in the 'this is so relatable' kind of way, but in the 'i just straight up hate this' kind of way. i didn't know why for a while. it seems fine, it's not the kind of movie i typically enjoy, but it's still good. it's written well, it's a fine movie. but i still hated it, and i haven't been able to figure out why exactly.

at first i thought it was because i was sick of the disney and pixar's obnoxious family friendliness and their fear of producing anything original. though, even their original stuff i find pretty obnoxious now. just this whole idea of appealing to the widest demographic and being all family friendly, it gets to me, even if this movie does tackle some deeper issues.

and for a while now, ive figured this must be why i hate this movie so much. it's not that it's bad, it's just that im sick of disney and pixar. and i wasn't entirely wrong, that is a part of the reason, but there's more to it than that. and i think i can finally put my finger on exactly why i hate this movie so much.

it's to do with the issues it tackles. growing up, being a teenager, puberty. and you might think that maybe im just uncomfortable with those topics, and maybe the fact that i hated it so much is a sign that the movie got me to feel the right feelings. and if you think that, you're wrong.

the reason it gets to me as much as it does is because of how mellowed down these themes feel to me. growing up, going through puberty, it's a rough experience for just about anyone, it's where a lot of shit happens. it's something a lot of people can relate to. and the version of it depicted in inside out 2 is just so basic. it explores not much out of the ordinary, one of the biggest problems in riley's life is her anxiety over whether she'll make the hockey team or not. i wish my teenage years were as simple as hers, i wish i had her life, it's making this out to be such a bad thing when i wish i had a life like this.

and i can already hear you typing up a response being all "well ackshually, just because someone's problems aren't as bad as yours, doesn't mean you should dismiss them. why are you downplaying other people's problems? getting into the hockey team may not seem like a big problem to you, but it could feel like the end of the world for someone else."

and you'd be right, kind of. however, there's more to it than me just being resentful of a movie character with a better life than me. it does get to me, it really does get to me. but that's not the end of the things in inside out 2 that get to me. you know what the thing that really gets to me is?

coming back to how family friendly pixar and disney are, and how they're always trying to appeal to the widest demographic. because the problems riley has in this movie, they're considered family friendly, but not just family friendly, but non-controversial. dieted down into a digestible format that has such a small chance of offending anyone. riley is designed to be likeable to a wide demographic, the problems in her life are designed to be inoffensive to the widest demographic, the messaging of the movie is designed to be agreeable to the widest demographic.

and i see this movie, and i see all the people laughing along, crying at the sad moments, rooting for our protagonists. at a movie about a teenager dealing with teenage problems. and when i see all this, when i see this movie, i can't help but wonder, what would people think if they made a movie about the kinds of problems i had to deal with as a teenager?

and well, there's not much point wondering, because they're never going to go that far. or at least not disney or pixar or illumination or any of those other so-called 'family friendly' movie studios. because if they did go that far reactions wouldn't be so one-sided. depicting the experiences of this average teenage girl is marketable, but depicting my own experiences, even if all the non-pg stuff were left out, would be considered incredibly offensive. it would not be marketable, or be able to reach a wide demographic. people would not generally care as much as they do for these generic and widely applicable teenage puberty problems.

look at turning red for example, that movie was also designed to appeal to a large demographic, to be (mostly) non-offensive, and fit into the box of what's considered family friendly. it's not much different from inside out 2. but it dared to acknowledge the mere existence of periods, and people were OUTRAGED just from that tiny acknowledgement.

if a short acknowledgement of periods in a pixar movie is enough to get people as angry as turning red did, then a pixar movie about anything resembling my life would probably get someone murdered.

and that's depressing.

and when i watch inside out 2, that's all i can really think about.

average teenage girls going through average teenage girl puberty problems, or really anyone who has experienced what riley is goes through in this movie, how lucky are you to have your experiences deemed suitable for a general audience?

yeah, it's not the best thing to be lucky about. life can still suck for you, i know. this doesn't make things much better. but i think i can still very damn well call that a privilege.

inside out 2; another pixar sequel. not bad at all, in fact it's quite good. im not denying that it's good. it is good, okay? but i hated it. i. really. fucking. hated. it.

ok what are your thoughts on mineru bc like,, bro I hate to say it but I never connected with her character at all. every part of her in the storyline felt forced, and her connection to zelda and the sages never felt authentic. I hate the eng voice acting like why does she talk like that 😭 her talking about draconification felt sooo forced like if she knew it was forbidden and wouldn't have helped zelda why did she bring it up at all, it was such a bad foreshadowing plot point. her entire quest confused me bc the whole first part has a very thunder/lightning theme so I thought her power would be related to that but it wasn't at all? I hated her stupid construct and did the entire quest except for the fight without using her construct. and then (spoilers for the end of totk) it's like her spirit power didn't even matter because her spirit left anyways, so literally what was the point. they tried to make her "dying" emotional and I was literally staring at the screen like 😐 I could care less

imo I think link should have gotten rauru's secret stone of light (bc where did his stone go?? I really thought rauru's stone would have made an appearance but it never did) and he could have been one of the sages instead of bringing mineru back. her whole concept was useless I'm sawryy 😭 but I'm curious if u felt the same way like are my opinions valid or did I just wildly misinterpret mineru 😟

I'm super late to answering this bc I didn't actually do the mineru quest until last night JFHDHFJJDJD but I completely get where you're coming from. when she was explaining draconfication I was like "okay this sounds kinda dorky and also that's exactly what's gonna happen isn't it" and lo and behold..

I just don't really.. get the point of her character. like she played a major role in what. one of the memories? like why is she here? I want to like her, I do, but I just don't understand why she's even here. part of me feels like she was kind of a last minute addition to the team bc they realized they needed another sage KFHDJFKKSKD I don't get why she's so much more important than the other ones.. just bc she's a zonai? the second I had to use her construct I was like okay.. so I'm definitely never going to be using this.

How I feel about them: He's alright. There's nothing about him I dislike, but the things I like are all very superficial (cool design and bey). He feels like a filler character added in just because BEGA needed an extra blader

Something I find interesting: his 4-eyed mask design. Someone had to make the deliberate decision to give it extra eyes and I love purposeful impracticality in character designs

Something I think could've been done better: He's just there and doesn't really have a dynamic with the rest of his team nor with his opponents. Giving him a meaningful rivalry with Ray or friendship with Garland would've gone a long way

Headcanon: He likes to hang out on rooftops. No one knows or questions how he gets to them

Thoughts on his bit-beast: I like it. Personally I think later beys would pull off the Poseidon/Neptune theme better but Mystel's was pretty solid

Miscellaneous thoughts: I don't really have any. He's almost a recurring extra with how little we get to see of him. At least his battle with Max was fun

Reiji

How I feel about them: Short-lived secondary antagonists can be hard to pull off, but Reiji does it really well. He had 4 battles in total but every single one of them is memorable. If he was around for longer, I'm sure he'd be universally considered one of mfb's greatest villains

Something I find interesting: Reiji apparently feels physical pain when his opponent resists his fear tactics. This raises some really interesting questions that, like a lot of things in Beyblade, can only be explained via headcanon

Something I think could've been done better: His breakdown was really cathartic but it also didn't answer any of the questions I had. I wish we could've seen his breakdown more in-depth to better understand what's going on in his mind

Headcanon: Since he has a dark move, Reiji has some of the dark power (albeit less than Ryuga and Tsubasa), which causes him pain when he has to use more of it

Thoughts on his bit-beast: A snake that is revealed to be a single strand of Medusa's hair. I love it. Hell, the first time he uses his dark move and we see that his bey has multiple snakes was a massive "oh shit" moment

Miscellaneous thoughts: His VA was clearly having a lot of fun recording but I can only imagine the sore throat that resulted from it. Poison Serpent being one of the worst beys irl is kinda funny considering he's easily one of the top bladers in Fusion

How I feel about them: I'm not a huge fan of Beywheelz but I love Jake. I wish more villains were like him in that he's simultaneously comedic and threatening

Something I find interesting: The shots that imply he sends his bey at the opponent's eyes, combined with the fact that one of his eyes is always covered, seems to imply something that wasn't explicitly shown, but was purposely implied

Something I think could've been done better: He was underused. Beywheelz in general suffered from cramming too much story in too little time. If Beywheelz was longer we could've gotten more of Jake

Headcanon: About the eye thing, my headcanon is that it was injured in some form (probably from a bey). I'm undecided if he wears an eyepatch or if it's "merely" a Shu-style scar

Thoughts on his bit-beast: A less cool version of Reiji's Serpent. Still not bad, just overshadowed

Miscellaneous thoughts: His personality is the opposite of Reiji's while still being very similar. I prefer Reiji as a serious villain, but Jake is so fun to watch

Ben

How I feel about them: He doesn't do much in the story besides being a tournament opponent, but damn is he good at it. In season 1, I found that I looked forward to Ben's battles more than anyone else's (including Lui) just for the energy he brings

Something I find interesting: He seems like a feral child but his hair says otherwise. There's a level of metafiction that goes on, where nothing about Ben's character indicates he wouldn't take care of his hair other than audience assumptions, and I love it

Something I think could've been done better: Like many characters, he was underused. He fought Lui, clearly that affected him, but we never delve into the details

Headcanon: He and Ranzo buy sorts from the same brand. Just look at them

Thoughts on his bit-beast: It's cool, but most pre-Turbo avatars are overshadowed by the later ones. It's one of my favorite s1 avatars, but not really remarkable in the grand scheme of Burst

Miscellaneous thoughts: Before Blindt, Ben's Beast Hold was probably the weirdest looking special move in Burst. I wish Ben vs Lui was shown in full in the flashback

They are /linked/ but the power isn't /for/ the probe, the probe going full power and exploding isn't because they overcharge it with sun station juice, it's arguably (sorta, there were disagreements on the nomai team) by design and is just using normal power sources.

The warp core that's sending the memory statues back in time 22 minutes IS using the mega power source that's destroying the sun each cycle, it's related but not the same, since part of why that's happening is to keep firing the probe in the first place.

Anyways, some minor existentialism (my beloved). Part of what I really like about this are the ways in which your memories can be rewound without you dying "exactly". Like the ash twin core can be exposed to the supernova and rewind itself while you're 300 million miles away from the sun or while you're on the quantum moon while it's orbiting the eye and in both cases you're too far away to die before the rewind- so while in neither situation are you far enough way to survive- there's some minutes of life you don't live before the rewind. it's fun :)

I could say plenty on the little mannerisms experienced there, but in all truth they don't say "much" of interest. Basically repeating a lot of ideas on quantum stuff and posing that if quantum state objects are every possibility at once- and viewing them "freezes" them in one collapsed possibility- what would happen if we viewed the eye directly?

A great question- fantastic even- but considering I came here with like 300 questions and then got quantum 101 and then a really good question put back at me I'm.... dissatisfied.

Not BIG time or anything. This is a great question, one I hadn't considered before talking to her. But because I can't communicate directly I can't ask about Any of this and I'm like "AAAAAAAAA"

To be expected- back to finding my own answers.

I mostly want to point at her to say how fucking sick it is that the Quantum moon isn't just showing this possibility to us- the possibility that we meet her.

It also allows us to see her corpse in various possibilities that she failed, with each other version of the moon having her in a different death pose (or maybe just 2, I kinda recall only finding her on the south pole twice and not being able to reach it otherwise, unimportant).

Maybe she is, but her interactions don't imply anything of the sort.

She doesn't mention anything about the rewinding, doesn't mention anything about the probe, doesn't mention anything about the sun station being turned on-

This is just "the possibility that she successfully found the 6th moon" and talking to her implies that she /feels/ that she has already died- and seeing how 5 of the other moon faces have her dead, that's interesting. Like she /feels/ that her being here right now is improbable. Like it's some sort of conclusion that wasn't likely because she thinks she's already dead (and is, in most possibilities).

Maybe this is what death on the quantum moon entails. If you die here, there's a possibility you didn't, so a possibility of you remains? I wonder if she can leave.

I assume not, as leaving this phase of the moon requires, by nature of how the quantum moon exists, the moon to materialize as a different possibility. Maybe if *I* stay to witness the moon she would be able to leave to a star system that never sees the moon again? But no, right, because if I ever leave then the moon would begin moving again, and in all possibilities that aren't the 6th it has her dead.

Also, consider the fact that her eyes don't appear to be considered "conscious" by the moon anymore.

The moon moves despite the fact she's on the 6th iteration.

So I guess even the moon recognizes that she has died and she is quite literally a living ghost that only exists when the moon exists in the 6th state- and as a ghost she can't be considered "conscious" for viewing it to lock it in the 6th state and if she tried to leave I suppose she would simply cease to exist on the spot and would become the corpse in each iteration and /nothing at all/ during the 6th since she left?

Hmm.

Anyways, all to say that means her being here is more to do with the quantum state of everything than with her retrying every 22 minutes until it worked- so I don't think she's the third or is directly responsible for any of this.
